I had looked this place up yesterday on 06/02/19 and went right after work. It was nearby and it’s always nice to see a new boba shop, so I took the chances. It’s a really small store in a small strip mall area. It’s really clean inside and vibrant. Music is on at a chill mood and along with that, they have power outlets so you can study as well. I believe the owner was in when I went in at the time and after looking through the menu, I decided to order two of their Vietnamese Iced Coffees. They came out pretty quickly because they usually do have those premade already. I had a sip while driving back home and it does have a strong pure coffee flavor, but it was way too sweet. The balance of flavors was a bit off and I’ve definitely had much better. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad, but I’d give it a 3/5 overall for the drink. Besides that, the service was pleasant, so that’s why i’ll be rounding up to 4 stars. I’d love to try other drinks, but i’ll probably lay low for now and wait till the business get older before I pay another visit in the future.

Lychee Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 23450 N 19th Ave, Phoenix

This review is based off of my main dish. I ordered the spicy tuna roll. Which is difficult to mess up. Its spicy so theres a kick present. But its ever so slight. I had to amp it by adding wasabi to each bite. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken. Which on the menu has an indicator letting you know its spicy. It wasnt. It tasting literally like maple syrup. There was no spice present. There wasnt even a smokey flavor. It was just sweet. I couldnt eat another bite without an adjustment made. So i asked for a side of chili oil. Even their chili oil had literally no spice to it. And i used the entire portion of chili oil they provided me with. Probably because its very old or just poorly made. It didnt even make my chicken any better. I picked at the veggies at the plate, requested my check and left. The service was prompt, courteous and friendly. But I guess I feel that I dont go to a resturant for service necessarily but instead i go for the food. But thats just me. I dont believe I will be going back unless its for their Thai Iced Tea. Which I hate to say it was the only tasty thing I ordered. Disappointing considering its a new spot. But Im hoping they make adjustments to their menu otherwise they may not last. Especially since Panda Express is just up the street with better flavors.

Kangaroo Coffee – Menu with Prices – 720 S 8th St, Colorado Springs

This is my go to place when I’m out and need coffee!! However when I stopped by today to get something to warm my bones I got a different experience then usual. The lady working the window was trying to work both at one time. So there was no talking besides me ordering. Then I got my coffees paid for them and left. I got a block down the street and took a drink of my caramel latte and it was super bitter no Carmel flavor whatsoever and no sweetness to it.. I drink these all the time and this is not how they are suppose to taste.. So I go back to the shop and left her know that it isn’t sweet.. She didn’t say sorry or anything just asked for the cups put something in it and told us that we need to order them extra sweet next time and we would be charged extra for it.. (I found it to be rather rude as I never order them extra sweet and they always taste good.. I dont know if she was too busy and forget to add something to my coffee or what..) so I took the coffees and headed home to take a drink and to find it rather still bitter and not any flavor to it.. I then added a few drops of my Carmel flavoring from home to it and it got better.. It just made me sad to feel as if my business wasn’t important and that I was wrong about how my coffee tasted.. I’ve also came here as I love the coffee and the staff has always been perky and friendly! I really hope these things are not changing!

Dragon Express / Pho Vietnam Express – Menu with Prices – 678 E St, Chula Vista

I was looking for pho in the area and came across this place. The reviews all seem so great so I decided to give it a try. All everyone sayd about this place is that its in a run down ghetto place. Thats definitely not the case. I ordered orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, y eggrolls, and large pho. My total came out to $35 a bit more than what i usually pay at my regular pho place. It was good but it wasnt the best like everyone says. Rice kinda tasted like it had been cooked since the morning and just sitting under heat. Orange chicken was ehh. The egg rolls where good. The pho was a big portion but it wasnt all that tasty it was missing lots of flavor. I was extremely disappointed since I was sick and pho was the only thing I was craving. I dont think i will be giving this place a second chance. I’ll most likely stick to my original pho place even if its a bit further.

Coffee Emporium – Menu with Prices – 5817 N Mesa St, El Paso

What a cool coffee shop! Its more than coffee.. its chocolates, fudge, seasonings for oils, flavored oils, baking goods, finger food items, el paso souvenirs, jewelry, accessories… its endless! I could spend hours hanging out here or just looking at everything they offer! All while enjoying my double shot latte and fudge! Lol I think my only gripe is how the latte tasted. The coffee flavor to it just wasnt as smooth as i like it to be so i was slightly disappointed in that aspect. I still enjoyed finishing it though. And the fudge i got was regular milk chocolate flavored i believe and it was delish! I guess i got too excited when i was hoping for other flavors like pb and chocolate or cookies and cream. Today, they offered the milk choc or added pecans or walnuts basically. Not a fan of whole nuts in my fudge. Their milk choc fudge is delicious tho! Overall, great lil spot to grab some sweets or a coffee. I think I’ll try their el paso latte since that has cinnamon in it and could balance out the coffee bitterness more! Cant wait to visit again

The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops – Menu with Prices – 70 St George St, St. Augustine

These popsicles were great. I would give 5 stars if the lady had been a little nicer. She didn’t want to be there and acted like we were bothering her. She had short brown hair and was in her early/mid twenties. Yeaaa fire her. I didn’t even know sipping it in chocolate was an option. Maybe it was on the menu. If so, i missed it. She was impatient with us it seemed. The scenery is cute. It was an enjoyable experience otherwise. I got the espresso and I love it. I love the taste of coffee as a dessert but I’m very sensitive to bitterness and dont love to drink coffee really. This has the sweetness of a popsicle with the delicious coffee flavor. If I went back I would get this flavor. I loved it. I recommend you stop by if you’re visiting

Macha Tea Company – Menu with Prices – 823 E Johnson St #5, Madison

I was really excited to find a matcha specialty cafe in Madison. In Los Angeles where I live, you can easily find matcha cafes anywhere. Having to find this place with such a great review got me all hyped up with a high expectation. First things first, five stars for this place? Never. This place doesnt deserve a five star review for lots of reasons. I dont know if the matcha they use is a high ceremonial grade or whatsoever but it just doesnt cut it. I got a Matchiato which is just a matcha latte. It was served in warm temperature so it was rather easy to drink. However, it is not sweet at all. On the menu it says its sweetened but it tastes like its not sweetened at all. Even without the sweetness, it was doable however it really wasnt my style. I rather go to Starbucks or Coffee Bean and get their Matcha Latte. Theres not really anything special about it. Also got us a Matcha Redbean Cupcake and Matcha Twinkie. Matcha Twinkie was interesting since Ive never seen it before. I enjoyed this piece of delicacy the most. It wasnt too sweet but soft and moist. Matcha Redbean Cupcake was good too but it was surely sweeter than twinkie. Paring these dessert with Matcha Latte did complement each other but I wouldnt say it was the best. It was about $3 for each small dessert and our Matchiato was $4 something. It wasnt too expensive but not worth it. I can get so much better Matcha goods with this amount of money. Theres not very many Matcha specialty places with a five star rating. I only know one in Los Angeles and that place is surely a five star place acknowledged by so many locals and Yelp Elites. Its unfortunate to say but this place does not live up to its high rating and they definitely need to do something. I honestly cannot accept the fact why they have such a high rating. Service provided by our server was minimal. She was nice but that was it. Taking our plate right after we finished was unpleasant personally. The staff were busy talking to themselves and yeah, thats all I can say. Parking is strictly street parking so good luck.

Le Macaron French Pastries – Menu with Prices – 12478 N Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga

I’m beginning to think the people that have purchased here haven’t had a proper macaron or pate choux. I wanted to get a few items before our movie and I decide to give this place a try. My gut told me not to buy as much as I did based off of looks alone, but I gave it a try anyway. The feet on the macaron were spread and the shell was really shiny so I knew they were going to be dense and sugary.. The sizes were all very inconsistent and not uniform. I purchased 6 pieces @16.50. I normally dont care, especially when it’s a good quality macaron. I bit into the pistachio and it had only almond flavor, it was super sweet, and tasted as of it was frozen. Then I decided to give the salted caramel a try, once again, no caramel flavor, all almond, tasted like it was frozen, and not to mention the hair that came out with it. I was so disgusted that the other 4 stayed in the box. Next I tried the Madeline. It was pretty large and looked super moist. I took one bite and spit it out. It was dry and tasted like it had been baked on a pan that wasn’t properly cleaned so it had a burnt taste to it. Definitely a zero. Last but not least, the coffee eclair. My mom took a bite and said it tasted like old refrigerator. Which means it’s not fresh at all. I was honestly over it and didn’t care about getting my money back, but my mom insisted on going back in. When she went in she was told they dont give refunds. Which I see why because if they had as many complaints as mine, they’d be shut down. Dont trust the reviews.

Martin Henry Espresso – Menu with Prices – 3121 S 38th St, Tacoma

The barista was very helpful when it came down to picking what to order. I knew I wanted the Red Bull Sunshine just didn’t know what flavor to get. She told me this one guy always gets the flavors grapefruit, passion fruit, and guava all in one drink. I was skeptical at first and she saw my hesitation and was like “I got so many hooked on it, and if you don’t like it then I’ll make you another drink”. In that case I agreed. I got the drink and man was it the best, I thought the flavors wouldn’t work out together but I was so wrong. She asked me how I liked it and I said I loved it. If you don’t know what flavors to get , ask for a Red Bull Sunshine with the flavors: grapefruit, guava, and passion fruit seriously the best. I forgot to take a photo when I got because it was that good!! Sorry oppps

Hide A While Lounge – Menu with Prices – 9469 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga

What i need to say about this Bar is that at a random decision was made last night to ask me and my friends to leave . so the weekend before we where hanging out with no problem. So the reason why we where asked to leave is because we are bikers that are in the upper age of 50 and we where told up we couldn’t be in there because we had a vest on . and too top that off i dont drink alcohol and one other member is sober also . we stick too ourselves my friends where there long before i got there and they yes they do drink . they spent there money and they where having a good time .and just so you know . bikers dont look for trubble . 9 times out of 10 its a regular civilian that causes trouble we avoid it . this is a clear sign of discrimination based on how you look . if I walked in there with plain clothes would that change who i am i am a biker and i love my life this is discrimination at its best this is not a kool bar dont get kicked out because your wearing the wrong team color

Matt Robbâ??s Biscuits & Brew – Menu with Prices – 800 Market St, Knoxville

If something is promoted by K Brew, then it must be good, right? This little shop replaced the K Brew location in the courthouse, but it’s not a sad replacement! According to Matt, he makes everything from scratch, and it shows in the food! The biscuits are a nice balance of slightly crispy on the outside, with fluffiness on the inside. My only thing was that they were a little crumbly, so they can fall apart easily when trying to eat it in the paper wrapper it comes in. Flavor wise, the biscuit isn’t too salty or sweet. It’s also a “build your own biscuit” style with both sweet and savory options. The homemade strawberry jam was a perfect compliment to the pillows of flavor. There are also coffee options, with the cold brew already coming sweetened with milk. Next time I’ll get it by itself to really get the full flavor of coffee, which was brewed smoothly. They have some ready to go items like salads also. Prices for biscuits are decent, with the drink and coffee options being pricier (cold brew was about $5). I wish they were open on the weekends, because they would be a great thing to have after the farmers market! They only opened this past Monday, so I look forward to seeing how they grow!

Bottoms Up Espresso – Menu with Prices – 80 W Warner Rd, Chandler

I drive by this place all the time and decided to try it out today. I went through the drive thru this morning around 6:45am with no one in front of me or behind me. After looking at the menu for a minute and not getting a response at the order board I pulled up to the window. A barista made my drink (a Little Irish Girl- this is the name of the drink, not a description of the barista) and I went to work. Honestly, had I not known this drink contains espresso, I would not have guessed it at all. The drink was very pale looking and tasted sweet and nothing like coffee. I had to add black coffee to it just to balance the taste out. I don’t know if it’s just bad location, competition around (2 Dunkin Donuts, 2 QTs, 2 Circle Ks, Starbucks, SoZo, Ziggi’s, Bikini Beans, Dutch Bros- all within a 5 mile radius) or price, but I get the feeling this business isn’t going to last. For the price/quality, there are other coffee houses nearby that are better. I really wanted to like this coffee shop because of how conveniently located it is, but I probably won’t be returning here again.

Mariscos Las Islitas Menu with Prices 1601 Panama Ln #109, Bakersfield

We came in and were greated by a very nice gentlemen. The host took us to our seats. It was a little breezy so we asked for. Different table we got seated in a little spot in the middle which was nice. They forgot to clean the tables but i just didnt want to complain at the time. Anyway we ordered the oyster shots they were quite tasty. Each shot had 2 oysters inside and the shrimp..omg the shrimp. They were delicious. So crunchy and idk just really good. We had the shrimp, pulp, and fish soup and the meat molcajete. The soup was actually very good. The shrimp again was delicious and the fish very tasty. The molcajete was smaller than what I’m use to. The flavors were okay. The meats were good. The flavor just idk wasnt all that good. They give you 3 tortillas or 6 and then you can ask for more. They dont seem to charge. The molcajete comes with rice and beans. The salsa that comes with the chips are yum. These are complimentary. I would def go back to get some shrimp plates and a few of their margaritas.
