The best of it all. Authentic food with great prices! This is food you can’t beat. We tried lots of different items including the shrimp tacos, a tostada, a papusa, Mexican corn, and the rice and beans. Everything was amazing. The food was fresh and tasted great. It transported us back to our time in Mexico. I would recommend this place hands down. Be careful if using your GPS to get there. Ours took us to the wrong place. It’s located in a small parking lot behind JT’a bourbon grill and the NuWave expressions place. Though they are called Taco Tuesdays, they are open everyday and you can find out if they won’t be in that spot on their Facebook page. Go check it out!

Main Squeeze Juice Co. – Menu with Prices – 2561 Metairie Rd suite d, Metairie

Main Squeeze so far one of the best juice/smoothie spot I’ve been to. 3/5 day cleanse: I’m on the 5 day and my girlfriend started the 3 day. 1st: Your able to taste the different juices before you pick. You can create your own or go with the established program. 2nd: Every juice they have for the cleanse is great. The combination are interesting when it comes to some of the juices. I would of never thought that certain combination would taste good but, I’ve been proven wrong. 3rd: The staff is friendly and the location is perfectly located. Looking from the outside in, you wanna go in and explore the menu. Overall I’m happy I found this place on yelp. The ability to pick a cleanse on the spot is great. Having different plans with options and helpful tips on their website is great. Go check them out. If you plan to do juice cleanse check out their FAQ page for tips (I didn’t read but my girlfriend did). If you just want some great tasting treats or drinks they have that too.

Lic’s Deli & Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 800 E Diamond Ave #3420, Evansville

I give it a one because you have to, if you want to leave a review. Today on my way to work, I thought a Strawberry Banana shake would hit the spot especially if it comes from Lics. Boy was I wrong, it was the worse shake I’ve ever had. I also got one for a girl at she had Chocolate and let me tell you it was a very light tan she said she thought they forgot to add the chocolate. So we wont be back to the one on Diamond ave. It was at 11:37 am this morning. They need to train all of the employees how to make them, it was a young kid working he kinda acted lost.im not writing this in Hope’s of getting free ones, because as of now I wont never be back not even for a free one. I just hope they do something about it. I can almost say I bet I wont be the only one to explain today.

Kitchen Sink Bakery – Menu with Prices – 129 S 27th St, Lincoln

Kitchen Sink Cookie Company, I’m pretty convinced, will be the ones to set a cookie revolution in motion. The type of revolution that has happened with the cupcake. These cookies are not your average cookies. These are traditional flavors given a creative and innovate twist. With cookie flavors like “Coffee and Donuts” (tasting just like their namesake), “Beam Me Up Scotchy!” (oatmeal butterscotch cookies topped with peanut butter buttercream, salted caramel and 3 pretzel twists), “The Dubliner” (made with Goose Island’s Bourbon County Stout, irish cream buttercream, and malt crumbs), and giving Little Debbie a run for her money with “Oatmeal Pie” (spiced oatmeal cookies sandwiched with salted butter cream), you really just gotta try these to understand their amazingness. It’s seriously hard for me to decide which has been my favorite flavor. Those flavors up there are just a small sampling of what they are churning out, so check their facebook page often to find out what’s in the oven, https://www.facebook.com/kitchensinkcookies . They often frequent the farmer’s markets in town, and sell the cookies regularly at The Pilgrimer downtown. Last but not least, you can get ice cream cookie sandwiches at Ivanna Cone made with Kitchen Sink Cookies…I mean, how can a dessert get much better than that?! I know they do have some regular cookie pick up hours at their kitchen address as well. Follow them on facebook to keep up with all those deets. I don’t even know how to say how much I love these cookies. They are unique and creative but still have a touch of familiarity. Just do yourself a favor and get out there and try these cookies. You’ll be back at The Kitchen Sink for more as soon as you take one bite.

GrannyWeavs Soul Food & Catering – Menu with Prices – 200 W P St, Lincoln

We stopped in tonight for the first time, though they do catering and delivery. We got the “2 Can Dine”, which is fried chicken, 3 kinds of meat and 2 sides. We got tips, brisket, pork, chicken thighs, cole slaw and mac & cheese. The tips, brisket, pork and cole slaw were all ok. There’s a lot of good bbq in town to compete with. We LOVED the mac & cheese. Where Grannyweaves shines is the fried chicken. Good looooord, that fried chicken. The chicken was juicy. The skin was crispy. It fell off the bone. Grannyweaves is worth an out of the way trip just for this fried chicken. Goodbye forever KFC. Raising Cane’s looks pathetic next to this stuff. We will be back for the chicken. We’d like to try the spicy cauliflower and a few other items on the menu we were curious about, too. They have great meal deals to choose from. We give 4 stars overall, but 5 for the chicken. Go for the chicken!!! **UPDATE on 10/11/18** This is a small, local business, and it appears lately, through the restaurant’s Facebook page, that the owner is struggling. He has been closing and opening the restaurant according to when he can make it in, so hours are not regular. I would still recommend a trip for the fried chicken, just check the restaurant Facebook page first.

Pepillo’z Cocina – Menu with Prices – 904 N 18th St, Kansas City

Add another dining spot to an area of town that’s arguably the epicenter of everything Hispanic in greater Kansas City. The lady waiting on me today, who I assumed to be the owner (why else would you bring two toddlers to where you work?) said they’d just opened in November. The restaurant itself I’m guessing was finished off for another business because it clearly has restaurant design written all over it, unlike many other Mexican eateries within less than mile. Less on the “dive” factor, more on the “this really is a restaurant” feel though it lacks the one thing they’re going to need to succeed–customers. Unfortunately, even though the lunch I had was quite good, I have to wonder if this is all flying on a wing and a prayer. I’ve driven by several times and never seen a single person inside, and I was apparently their sole lunch business today. Still, the pork burrito with fiery red sauce mixed with rice was quite delicious. An hour plus later sitting at home I can still sense the tingling burn on my lips, something I like, but which you may not. It’s a very limited menu written on a single chalkboard: tortas, hamburgers, pozole (I think, according to their Facebook page which I recommend you check out – https://www.facebook.com/Pepilloz-cocina-440644346330331/) burritos, menudo, no evidence of street tacos (like the area needs another choice) and your typical Fanta, Jarritos, Mexican coke selections. No liquor license. Some of those food choices may only be available on weekends as is tradition with many in the area (like Menudo). Chips and sauce in a bottle come with the visit, and the chips are clearly coming out of a bag, not homemade. Not my thing, the chips and sauce trick. You might thing that’s great. If I returned I’d opt for the burger. If they look anything like what’s on their Facebook page that should be pretty darn good. Worth giving a try, and you might as well, because like most places I review on Yelp, it’s unlikely anyone else will. Like a moth I’m drawn to places that haven’t been reviewed on Yelp. Places like this need a single review more than Joe’s KC needs their 2,700th, wouldn’t you agree? If you come: – Park facing North on the opposite side of the street, no parking on West side of street. – Cash only, no credit cards

Lion Exterior Products – Menu with Prices – 541 E Main St, Ontario

If you need a grill Lion Premium Grills is the one for you. Let me tell you why. You will receive more than a grill because Lion is concerned about your satisfaction. I purchased a Lion built in for a new house and when is was installed the Rotisserie kit was missing. Believe the installers discarded it during installation. Not to worry I called Lion in Ontario California and talked with Jose. He was understanding and sent a replacement. Now my grill is complete and I must say working like a charm. My Rotisserie Chickens are really good. So are other meats and vegetables grilled. You won’t go wrong with a Lion Premium Grill. Thanks Lion Jim Zimmerman

Cornelio’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 2728 Wade Hampton Blvd Suite B, Greenville

This bakery is so cute, it is clean and smells delicious as soon as you walk in the door. We were offered some hot chocolate and coffee while we browsed the amazing array of tasty breads. I have been looking for a place to buy authentic Pan Dulce and this place is now my new go to. I recommend everyone give it a try! As an aside, make sure you update your facebook page so that the address is visible, I had a hard time finding the address when I found you guys on facebook.

The Gas Lantern Drinking Company Menu with Prices 701 W Fulton St, Boise

Ever since I came across photos of Gas Lantern on their Facebook page I KNEW I had to check them out! They’re located a few blocks from the Capitol building in downtown Boise, making this the perfect meet up spot. Right away, we noticed there were a variety of people in here at 8 p.m. on a Tuesday…always a great sign! The place is beautifully appointed (very Joss & Main) and has ample seating and some fun additions like a pool table which was an excellent touch! In terms of drinks, their cocktail menu only features a handful of items ranging between $8-12. They do make well drinks and they serve beer on tap as well but none of those prices were included in the menu. I ordered a drink called Afternoon and my boyfriend tried the only other $8 drink option. Both of the drinks we tried tasted strong. When I go to a place that focuses on cocktails, I’ve never had to worry about coughing after taking a sip of a mix drink, but here we are. The drinks are beautiful but very small. Furthermore, on top of being miniature, my boyfriends drink was completely filled with ice. It’s a fancy place, smaller portions are to be expected, but we still weren’t expecting them to be that small. For the price and the buzz it’s a 3/5. They also serve food from a food truck but as good as it looks, it’s not worth it. The fries worn’t fried (possibly baked?), the poutine had a flour tase, and the burgers are incredibly small. We 100% could have had an off-night experience because people have been raving about the food, but nothing stood out as something I’d order again. If you’re down for a night out, this place seems like a great spot to pre-party during happy hour. It’s only a few blocks from the Grove Plaza, there’s ample street parking, and they have drink discounts from 4-6 pm. It didn’t end up standing out to me with service, drinks or food, but it’s definitely worth stopping by at least once. I strongly feel like we just picked a bad night when service was iffy, drinks were prepared without much attention, and the food truck was starting to slow down for the night (they stop serving at 9 pm fyi). I look forward to trying them again at happy hour sometime to see how the experiences compare.

Minnesota Barbecue Company – Menu with Prices – 816 NE Lowry Ave, Minneapolis

I went to checkout this BBQ place because it is owned by Kale Thome and Travail. I was really excited. I was expecting something really good and something really interesting. However, I was WRONG! It was not good at all! I went there and saw a small BBQ place in the Northeast, It is only a takeout restaurant, they do not have a place to sit and eat the BBQ. The place has no private parking and the parking is on the street. There is no good parking around the place. Okay outside of the place and no parking spot, Let’s talk about their foods and the prices. I ordered brisket, st louis rib, cheesy noods, and AF slaw. The prices are okay, it make sense and it is not too cheap or expensive. The brisket and the ribs are super tough! They overcooked both the brisket and the ribs, it is hard to chew and cut the meat! Also, the flavor is bland, nothing special with the sauce/vinegar. I was so so disappointed! Sadly, I wont come back, I can get a better BBQ at other places.

Café Dei Campi – Menu with Prices – 1360 Rosemont Blvd, Montreal

Another amazing gem of a bakery. I went here to just see what they had for vegan treats which he told me everything, absolutely is vegan ! Which I had thought to be amazing. The parking in the area sucks, I think mostly because it’s so busy and I went on a weekday at 1 pm. I had thought that it would’ve been slower ! But it was worth the headache of finding the perfect free spot in front ! They have many amazing vegan items from tarts, cookies and pizzas. As well as hot and cold drinks. As well they sell really cool pasta and drinks to buy. I grabbed an assorted box of baking as the price was right for $30.00. The price per each baking ranges from $2.00 to $5.00. They custom make donuts only on Saturday and they post them on their Facebook page what they will be. I have yet to try but they look worth it to checkout. They also have free Wifi which is great if you wanted to work from there. Although I don’t suggest it as it is quite nosy and can actually be hard to find seating. I only give it a 4 as parking and seating is hard. Which gave me a bit of an irritation. But will be back to try the donuts out.

Cajun Shack NOLA – Menu with Prices – 9830 Lake Forest Blvd Suite 110, New Orleans

Located in between Read and Crowder, Cajun Shack is one of the newest boiled seafood spot to pop up in the East! There was plenty of parking in the strip it’s located in and the place is very clean and modern inside. I ordered 3 pounds of Crawfish, an order of Pig Feet, Boiled Corn, Potatoes, and a D&D Sausage to share with my dad. Their crawfish had plenty of flavor and a good spice level to it. Not too spicy, but enough to give you the sniffles and maybe give you a little cajun tear. The boiled corn and potatoes were good, but nothing too exciting. They were very generous with the amount of pig feet for the order and it was delicious! You cannot go wrong with D&D Sausage, that is always enjoyable. Tried them again a week after for their other items. Ordered the Shrimp Po Boy, Hot Sausage with Cheese on Bun, D&D Smoked Sausage on Bun, Fried Wings, Meat Pie, and Crawfish Pie for my family. Everything smelled so good when I opened up my bag and it was hard to restrain myself from digging in immediately. I was patient and was able to take some quick snaps to show everyone my glorious food. My family and I enjoyed everything that I ordered. The shrimp po boy was so so good with great sized shrimps and they were fried and seasoned very nicely! It was dressed perfectly and everything just went well together. You can never go wrong with a hot sausage on bun, but theirs was especially good. They put on two hot sausage patties and every bite I took was so gloriously meaty! I usually do not order smoked sausage on bun, but I am glad I did this time around. The wings and pies were all good, but all just your usual standard items at a seafood spot. Everything I ordered was just spot on! Overall, a great new seafood spot to check out in New Orleans East! The staff is really friendly and eager to serve their customers, I cannot wait to check out their hot foods whenever they come out!

D’s Coney Island – Menu with Prices – 2626 Schaefer Hwy, Detroit

New owner New name D’s Coney Island pays tribute to Frank, D’s 24 Hour Coney Island in southwest Detroit to give back to the community and honor the restaurant’s former owner, who was shot and killed during an attempted robbery at the building on Sept. 1, 2016. Opening just 9 months ago has a large following of regular customers inside a beautiful clean eating area and restroom. Detroit Coney Island, was owned by Frano Juncaj, an Albanian immigrant from Montenegro whom the locals called Frank, before his death. He, his brother and uncle opened the restaurant in 1980 and ran it for 36 years. New owner committed to providing great foods and prices to the neighborhood he grew up in. This section of SW DETROIT is not recognized by any of the media outlets which has a dozen plus great businesses. Great service by Monica I forgive her her forgot me Coffee. She funny and helpful along with the cook who spent time at a Detroit Classic L Georges I always Loved. Hey they got Chicken n Waffles on the menu everyday. Looking forward for another great meal soon. See Yelp n Google for reviews and photos Enjoy they don’t have a Facebook business page yet.
