Today was not the first time I have been to Cheeseboard collective, however it certainly was one of the worst customer service experiences. I came in around 4pm (about 2 hours before closing on a Friday so things are winding down but the shop is still open), there was a crowd of customers so I picked up a card to get a place in line. There was at least 3-4 staff assisting customers with samples or cheese orders. As I was patiently waiting in front of the counter for my turn, I noticed one employee warpping up a transaction for a customer and washed his hands then left to the back of the bake shop to work on some task. Two of the employees at the counter were still busy addressing the customers needs and I continued to wait in front of the cheese counter in hopes to catch someone’s attention. Another female employee completed a transaction and just when it appeared she would be available, an elderly couple approached the counter and she proceeded to ask them what they would like. They had a long list of cheeses which ended up taking a while to complete. At this point I have been waiting for over 10 minutes and I have yet to be addressed whatsoever. By the time every single customer had been serviced, the staff had all proceeded to the back of the bakery to chat and continue daily prep tasks. I found this to be rude and inattentive for the Cheeseboard counter staff to not noticed me as I was standing directly in front of them this ENTIRE time with a card in hand. Ultimately one employee finally came up to ask what I would like and I told her what I wanted to order. Mind you, in previous times I have come here with my boyfriend and in the contrary, we waited at the counter without knowing their queue protocol. Until a staff had told us we need to get a card to be serviced. (despite waiting there before other customers who did get a card) If they are going to use the cards as a means to queue customers then they should stick to it. It would be great if customers be treated in a timely manner especially when there is a crowd with first come first serve basis. Perhaps they need to rethink their structure for how to set up the queue or retrain their employees with better customer service.

Red Lobster – Menu with Prices – 1870 W Craig Rd, North Las Vegas

Absolute shoddy employees. I placed a phone order at 5.43pm, was told it would take 20-25 minutes to pickup. So I show up at 6:20pm and wait at the front of the To-Go counter. I was ignored for 5 minutes while 2 female employees behind the counter were trying to get someone else’s To-Go order right. They had some type of heating plate to keep orders warm as customers pick up, but they left so much food just sitting on the counter, that only 1 order was kept warm while the other 2 were left sitting cold! After standing there 15 minutes till 6:35pm, I was serviced and then told that my order “was placed, but then it was cancelled. We will start cooking it right away for you, as soon as the order is in.” I said, that’s unacceptable, I should have gotten a call or something, as you guys took my phone number when I placed the order, I can’t wait 30 minutes now with my hungry kids waiting in the car. She apologized and tried to offer my kids some juice or lemonade. Tried to take my order again but kept over-charging everything when I showed her the exact menu item and pointed at it. Fire grilled lobster /shrimp skewer/ salmon combo which was around $30. Then was told that they’re out of salmon! I asked her to substitute something for salmon in the combo that would come out around the same price, and she added rock lobster which raised my total by almost $40 more. THAT is not substituting. I told her she could have offered an extra shrimp skewer to replace the salmon that I would have paid for anyway. I’m a customer that’s already frustrated as it is, and you’re trying to UPSELL me at the last minute!!! It’s our first time going to Red Lobster, and also our LAST time. This transaction has ruined the experience for our family.

Bagelicious – Menu with Prices – 1255 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta

Upon entering the building with my girlfriend, the smell of the store smells like a dead fish with inattentive employees that stared at us for 5 minutes before taking our order. We ordered a drink and a bagel and the employee told me to help myself to the drink while they made my girlfriends bagel. Upon pulling out my credit card and making it obvious that i was going to pay with card, I opened my drink and took a sip. After taking a sip, the employee said to me “we don’t take plastic” and told us that we had to pay for the already opened drink and bagel with cash. Upon realizing we had no cash, they referred us to a sketchy atm in the back. Keep in mind there is NO sign ANYWHERE saying cash only. The atm has a 3 dollar fee that is unavoidable. So, we decided to not pay an extra 3 dollars into this literal scam and we decided to leave. The employees attempted to chase us out of the restaurant saying i had already opened the drink to which my girlfriend replied “you guys didn’t disclose that they only accept cash” to which the employee reacted negatively with irritation. Then, the owner of the store followed us out of the store threatening us with her phone attempting to get our tag and report us when they were literally trying to SCAM us out of 3 dollars to avoid a card fee. Extremely unprofessional restaurant, will never go there ever again. Employees we’re seemingly threatening and all seem to be in on tricking customers into spending an extra 3 dollars on every atm transaction. Never again.

The Salad Maker – Menu with Prices – 300 E Market St, Charlottesville

The last two times i’ve gone the staff has been incredibly rude. The first time I ordered a salad and didn’t explicitly circle what I wanted and the person making the salad was extremely rude about it. The second time, I was standing in line about to order a salad and another customer came in front of me dropped of his order card. I ordered a special salad which wasn’t on the card so I didn’t write anything on mine. I was in line before the customer and had been standing there before he came and the person making the salad told me that I had to wait and proceeded to make the other customers salad first. The staff then proceeded to whisper about either me or the other customer while I was paying. Both situations made me really uncomfortable and the staff did not acknowledge their error. I was with a coworker who also mentioned they were rude as we left. Not only are their salads super expensive but their customer service is not great at all. I will NOT be going there again. There are other places with far cheaper salads and more variety that are way better.

Bowlero Via Linda – Menu with Prices – 9027 E Vía Linda, Scottsdale

Just to be clear, I have nothing against the place and the other staff, except the cashier, ALEX. My family went there today so my son can practice bowling for his birthday which we book in the same center. Alex is just odd. He speaks as if heâ??s only talking to himself in a place filled with loud music. I had to stretch my neck so my ears can catch what heâ??s saying. It was our first time in the said center so we dont know how we get charged. When we got our shoes, he already swiped the card so I thought theyâ??ll just charge it upon check out. When we check out we got to the counter and I asked him, â??Are we good?â? He then spoke something impossible to hear and moved his hand as if saying â??goâ? so we left the line. I asked my husband, â??Is that it? are we just gonna be charged?â? Feeling something was wrong, we went back to the counter with another customer in front. I waved at him and asked â??Are we gonna get a receipt?â? He just told me, â??I have a line and another customerâ? in a loud (thank God!) voice. I told him yeah but we were here before them and Iâ??m not sure if weâ??re done. He then told me, again in a loud voice â??Yeah, but you left!â? Thatâ??s when my inner alarm came off. This guy is just impossible! I wonder why heâ??s there in front of customers when he clearly has no customer service skills. When we left the line thinking we were already charged and was not, he could have called us back to let us know that weâ??re not yet. And when we came back to ask him again, he just brushed us off and tell us he has a line and another customer. He kept speaking to himself at this time it was again impossible to hear. I asked him what he was saying. He just told me, â??If you want to speak to my manager, you can.â? I told him with a loud voice to just get it done and over with. With a simple transaction as checking out, Alex can send a customerâ??s blood pressure soaring high. This Alex shouldnâ??t be in front of customers, coz he clearly has no customer service skills. I just hope my sonâ??s birthday wonâ??t have the same experience.

Hip Hop Fish & Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1350 Mahan Dr unit f, Tallahassee

I phoned up there today to pick up an order of chicken. They gave me a pick up number and told me it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived at the drive thru 15 minutes after placing my order. When I drove up to the window, an employee was on the phone. A couple minutes later a second employee went behind the counter from the front. In another 2 minutes a 3rd employee was behind the counter. They were filling napkins, refilling the iced tea and lemonade dispensers, helping the 3 customers I saw inside. I sat at the drive thru window for 10 minutes without ANYONE coming over to open the window. I phoned them. I asked if my order was ready. She went over to the counter where my chicken has been sitting this whole time and said, “Yes, it was ready.” I told her that I was here and sitting at the window. We hung up. I waited 2 more minutes. So I sat at Hip Hop drive thru for 12 minutes with my order waiting on the counter, and no one came over to give me my order and take my money. All this after having phoned them 15 minutes before I got there. It was absolutely not busy. 3 customers. 2 cars in the parking lot. This was a bizarre, rude experience. TERRIBLE customer service. I work with the public and I will tell everyone I know, to steer clear of that place. What a awful way to treat your customers. It really is a shame because I like supporting local businesses. ?

Cali Home Grill – Menu with Prices – 410 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton

Most unprofessional and rude exhibit of customer service I have ever seen. Came in to simply order a drink and a side of fries…as I was waiting for my order, a soft spoken girl next to me accidentally spilled the tea she had just ordered all over the floor. When no employee made any type of effort to resolve the issue, I took it upon myself to help clean up the mess. One of the women in the front told the girl that they would make her a new drink. The girl just stood waiting there for a solid five minutes before another employee just gave her a blank stare and rudely asked the girl what she was doing. When the girl explained the story, the employee basically told her “too bad, so sad- we gave you what you ordered, you dropped it, there’s nothing we can do, so you can leave now.” Obviously the other employee (that I’m assuming is one of the owners) never communicated the story or made an attempt to make the girl a new drink as she promised. As this was occurring- I interjected, stating there was no reason for her to be so rude and aggressive to her customers without any good reason behind it. This then escalated into a loud argument between myself and the employee that carried throughout the entire restaurant in which this employee cursed, told me to shut up, and mind my own business, in front of many customers just trying to enjoy their meals. I think it’s important to note, that as this woman was screaming and cursing her main point was how “not rude” she is. Ironic. Near the end of the argument the employee told me that I didn’t have to eat there, to which I stated I would than like a refund since I never received my order. Unsurprisingly, she refused to give me my money back. Throughout the chaos no other team-member or either one of the present owners decided to interfere in order to help diffuse the situation. I was happy to stick up for an individual who didn’t want to raise concern about the way she was being treated, but the type of customer service and plain bullying that was illustrated that day should have never been tolerated to begin with. I didn’t get the rude employees name, but I’m sure her ‘less than sunny’ disposition will make who I am speaking of very clear. Also, the food is of poor quality and overpriced and i noticed many unsanitary health code violations occurring such as no hair nets, touching unprepared food without gloves, the smell of old oil, and not washing hands between different food orders.

AMC CLASSIC Mill Plain 8 – Menu with Prices – 11700 SE 7th St, Vancouver

I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences here, I would honestly not even be going today if someone hadn’t bought me a gift card. We decided after having our gift certificate for over six months that we should just use them. Today we walked in and were rudely told they weren’t open yet. If you’re not open you should have the back door unlocked for employees, not the front door where customers can walk in. Instead of kindly apologizing, the employee in the front rudely said they weren’t open. At which point, we asked why the door was unlocked and the employee again replied with a snotty tone that it was for employees, and that she was sorry. However, the sorry wasn’t a sorry, the tone was an implied shut up, as if where she said sorry, she meant get out. Even as I’m sitting here, i just watched a family walk in through the unlocked door and come out and speed away. Looks like they were treated the same shitty way, from the same crappy employee we just met. So yeah, never going here again! I don’t even care if someone gets me free tickets. The employees here are rude and incredible inconsiderate. Oh and their popcorn sucks! Better go to regal down the road! Update: it kept getting worse! Literally the only thing on their menu for vegan options is fries, hummus, and popcorn… but wait…. I have to ask for my fries without Parmesan cheese, and my hummus without feta. Get with the times, this is 2019! Broke down seats, dirty bathrooms, bad service, the only good thing was the movie, of course they had nothing to do with that!

See’s Candies – Menu with Prices – 3151 Mowry Ave, Fremont

I generally don’t write bad reviews unless my experience was SUPER bad. Customer service seems to be LACKING here. The candies are fine. Always the same quality and the same at every sees candies, so this review is for the customer service – or the lack thereof. I felt very discriminated against and brushed of bc my mom and I were speaking English and I was also translating to my mom in Korean. It wasn’t even busy!!! And the older of the two sales people totally brushed us off. We went there this morning – Saturday morning just after they opened. There were 3 customer sets and one customer walked in while we had already been in the store. There were two ladies working – an older lady and a younger one. We weren’t greeted when we walked in even tho the older lady clearly saw that we had walked in. When we got into line, there was a customer at the register, one set in front of us and a male customer had walked in and was standing in front of the glass, waiting to buy a few pieces. I thought he had already been helped. When we got to the counter, I asked the older person if we could make our own box because honestly I’ve never done that at See’s and she makes this comment, well that’s what these are all for… and she was kind of a jerk when she said it… like duh… and so I asked how much it cost and she told me $20.50 or something like that per pound and so I was translating this to my mom, and the lady looks away at me and at the man and says well you were here first what can I get for you? And turns away from us. Granted, the man was white and she was white .. I think she was white and we are Asian… and I don’t want to throw in the race card here, but I felt like WTF bc I’m translating you are being rude. If he was in line first, that’s fine, he should be attended to first, but the way she did it was really wrong. I was totally offended. She could have asked who was here first? Or said something like I think he was here first, let me get to you next or something more polite and rude than what she said or her mannerism. Also, right before us she was helping another set of Asian customers who may or may not have spoken English well, and she was really snotty to them, too. Granted she did offer them some samples at the end of their transaction, but overall she was just rude. We got to the counter and the younger person was helping another customer and then it was our turn. She rang us up, and then I asked for some samples because we were offered any, she gave us samples, fine. Rang us up, gave us a coupon, and my mom said to her oh, I didn’t receive this coupon when I came yesterday, and the girl just kind of looks at her like oh well with her arm lifted like oh well… kind of gesture… and was abt to say something, so I just told my mom never mind and we walked out. The younger girl, I didn’t have much of a problem with, but the older lady, really ticked me off. While she was ringing up the customer before us said to the younger girl something abt having to do something later because it would get so busy here today. There were a handful of people and it is the day before Mother’s Day, so I get it. It’s busy and there’s the anticipatory business and stress, but it doesn’t mean that you should be rude. If we play the racist card, yeah I felt discriminated against because we were speaking English and another language, but overall, it seems to me that this older lady should have a better handle on her customer service skills. She seemed to be the more senior of the two, so she should set a better example. I imagine other employees feel uncomfortable around her because she comes off as curt.

Happy Life Organics Veggie Deli – Menu with Prices – 1215 Broadway Ste E, Chula Vista

It has taken me a while to post my experience at his place because of the awful treatment I received by the woman who I presume was the owner. A while back, one of the employees gave me a “buy 10, get 1 free” card. I tried using it on this particular day when the woman demanded to know who gave the card to me. I said a male employee. She started chastising me saying those cards were for 2 gallons at a time, not one. I said well I didn’t make the card, it was given to me. She started going off about how the card wasn’t valid and what not loudly, in a demeaning tone in front of other customers. I was so fed up with her that I walked out of the store. There were so many other ways she could have addressed that. And I will say, I was a customer for a long time because for a while it was the nearest place that sells alkaline water in my area. But lucky for me I can go to the one by Seafood City and this woman can keep her miserable attitude and water to herself. Bola de brujería.

Ireneâ??s Donuts Tucson – Menu with Prices – 340 N 4th Ave, Tucson

Cute little private business with an excellent product! Sorry to focus on only the negative here but I’ve been in the food industry for many years and helped open several business so this comes as constructive criticism for the owner. I know how difficult it can be for a small private owner because you want to stick to your guns but you need to LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS and make changes to your business appropriately… they pay your bills. Being prideful will only lose you money and put you out of business.. I’ve seen it before. My biggest and only complaint is about the flow of customers. When you walk in you are brought on a group tour to explain every donut (which while inefficient and time consuming is cute an adds to the small business feel). The problem is that the display case where they show you the donuts is also the counter for transactions so people are standing in the way of the donuts that the employee is trying to describe. The employees awkwardly try to work around and point out donuts that the poor customer trying to pay is standing in front of. It is super cringeworthy. After this I’m promptly helped. The employees were friendly and very nice! However once again people walked in. Maybe 10 people waiting to be helped. The lady (whom I believe to be the owner) brings the large group in front of the display case to tell them about all the wonderful homemade donuts. The problem is now I’m the one paying.. now I have 10 strangers staring at my ass while the owner is describing the big sprinkle donut I’m standing in front of, because she told me this is where I need to go to pay. Even the poor employees looked uncomfortable about the unorganized chaotic and inefficient system put in place. This would have easily been a 5 star visit because the donuts are AMAZING. It’s also a shame because it would be such an easy fix to put up a sign saying “line starts here!” And move the POS to the counter up front so everyone wasn’t in everyone else’s way. Good luck with everything! I’m always rooting for the little guy

Scooter’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 401 W O St, Lincoln

I don’t recommend this place! First, it took a few minutes for anyone to come up to the counter and help me because the 4 employees were just standing around behind the counter talking to each other about their personal lives. When someone did come up, she was very friendly. I ordered a very plain egg salad sandwich which I expected could be made right away and pretty quick too given that it is very simple and there were no other customers and the employees weren’t doing anything. But I was given a buzzer so I would be notified when the sandwich was ready. Unfortunately, the buzzer never went off so I just kept sitting there and sitting there. Until finally someone noticed me looking around wondering what was taking so long. Evidentially, my sandwich had been sitting in the window for me to take for a while. BAD idea to give a buzzer to the one and only customer you have! Wouldn’t it be smarter to give personalized service by remembering who I am and bringing it to me, especially since I’m 9 months pregnant and sitting right next to the food window? Do you really need that many employees with that few customers? Maybe if you had less, they would focus more on work and the customers than each other.

Scooptacular – Menu with Prices – 5150 W Baseline Rd, Laveen Village

So I was a huge Scooptacular fan, my daughter’s first birthday was coming up so my husband and I decided to go to Scooptacular to have them make her cake. When we got there, we were told our cake could be made like the picture we showed and were told we would be getting updates on the cake throughout the week. When we placed the order the guy told us that if we did not like our cake we could get refunded or they would remake it no problem. We paid for the cake and waited all week…no updates. So then I called in and they sent a picture of a cake they made that looked nothing like the cake I had showed them. It seriously looked like something I could make on my own at home. We went into the store and spoke to one of the employees working there. I told them my concern that the cake wasn’t as we wanted and we wanted them to make another cake or get a refund and knowing I was an upset customer he told me “look at it from our point of view” without offering any solutions. Then he proceeded with telling me we were in the wrong and that no one at their store would tell us that they would be able to make the cake the way we asked and continued to blame us until I told him the name of the employee. Even after this, this employee lacked professionalism and customer service and continued to blame us. I was livid, this employee had the audacity to say “I mean will your daughter even remember this cake” like um yes she will when she sees pictures or how about my guests that we’re having at the party. I honestly cannot even begin to explain how upset I am with the lack of empathy and customer service I received.
