Yesterday I went to get coffee. I was kept waiting while the girl, who I believe was the new owner was chatting with a customer for ten minutes. I finally got out of my car and went up to the window to ask if she would please take my order. She gave me a dirty look so I said never mind , I will go somewhere else. I was never treated so rudely before. I think the new owner has ruined the place. I was a regular. But never again.

Cali Home Grill – Menu with Prices – 410 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton

Most unprofessional and rude exhibit of customer service I have ever seen. Came in to simply order a drink and a side of fries…as I was waiting for my order, a soft spoken girl next to me accidentally spilled the tea she had just ordered all over the floor. When no employee made any type of effort to resolve the issue, I took it upon myself to help clean up the mess. One of the women in the front told the girl that they would make her a new drink. The girl just stood waiting there for a solid five minutes before another employee just gave her a blank stare and rudely asked the girl what she was doing. When the girl explained the story, the employee basically told her “too bad, so sad- we gave you what you ordered, you dropped it, there’s nothing we can do, so you can leave now.” Obviously the other employee (that I’m assuming is one of the owners) never communicated the story or made an attempt to make the girl a new drink as she promised. As this was occurring- I interjected, stating there was no reason for her to be so rude and aggressive to her customers without any good reason behind it. This then escalated into a loud argument between myself and the employee that carried throughout the entire restaurant in which this employee cursed, told me to shut up, and mind my own business, in front of many customers just trying to enjoy their meals. I think it’s important to note, that as this woman was screaming and cursing her main point was how “not rude” she is. Ironic. Near the end of the argument the employee told me that I didn’t have to eat there, to which I stated I would than like a refund since I never received my order. Unsurprisingly, she refused to give me my money back. Throughout the chaos no other team-member or either one of the present owners decided to interfere in order to help diffuse the situation. I was happy to stick up for an individual who didn’t want to raise concern about the way she was being treated, but the type of customer service and plain bullying that was illustrated that day should have never been tolerated to begin with. I didn’t get the rude employees name, but I’m sure her ‘less than sunny’ disposition will make who I am speaking of very clear. Also, the food is of poor quality and overpriced and i noticed many unsanitary health code violations occurring such as no hair nets, touching unprepared food without gloves, the smell of old oil, and not washing hands between different food orders.

Baked Bliss Baking Company – Menu with Prices – 1114 N 15th St, Waco

Despite the near Epi-pen experience, the GF cinnamon rolls are DIVINE. Well…I was so excited to find a bakery that offers GF items. (I couldn’t stop thinking about GF cinnamon rolls after reading one of the reviews.). I explained that I’m way allergic to wheat and have to carry an Epi-pen for that allergy because my reactions are so strong. The girl at the counter started gathering my order and in the mean time, THANKFULLY, the owner came out and started chatting. The girl handed me my order and the owner decided to look inside the boxes. Every item I was given was the full on GLUTEN version. Grrrr. So scary. The owner did go and gather my order herself even though she was busy. So thankful she decided to check but, C’MON MAN…I’m hoping this was a learning experience for the girl at the counter and I’m singing praises that I didn’t go down. Not sure how the food is, what I was given was frozen. I will let you know.

Shift Coffee House – Menu with Prices – 1616 Del Paso Blvd, Sacramento

My first visit to this place had me wondering what to order because I didn’t see any menu anywhere but finally noticed a pile of menus on the counter. I got no help nor advice from any of the employees. So I was going to order what I thought I’d want and waited and waited for the clerk/owner? to acknowledge me and was totally ignored for a full 5 minutes even though she was 5′ from me. The americano was bland and really weak and my friends thought so also. One mentioned that we should have ordered regular coffee instead and not pay extra for an americano. The grilled sandwich was tasty though. My friend works close by so we thought. we’d try it one more time. Well when we got into the place it was filled with smoke from the sandwich grilling since this place does not have a commercial or any kind of a hood. A call into the the County Health Department will straighten this out. Again, I got the cold shoulder as I stood at the counter to order to a point that one of the clerks friend she had been chatting with told her she had a customer waiting to order and she didn’t even look up nor acknowledge my presence. Again, another 5minutes or so went by as I watched her prepare sandwiches for other orders and all the while chatting with friends or other familiar customers which she seemed to have time to do rather than to take my order! Finally she appears, no apology and takes my order. One thing I requested was a cup of ice so that I could fill it with water. She stopped in her tracks, acted totally disgusted like she was thinking how much extra she should charge me but finally gave me the cup of ice. One thing I did notice was that the clerk/owner? was friendly and chatty with certain customers only and not others. Those that she was friendly towards were not asians and I am. I will not ever patronize this place again.

The Original Manny’s California Fresh – Menu with Prices – 1945 S, El Dorado St, Stockton

We had the very worst service today at Manny’s. The manager, he has worked there forever, and a girl with white & purple hair, were the rudest people I’ve seen. First, the had a ‘special’ on the fish sandwich for $6.75, but she charged us the full price. When we brought it to her attention, she said we go by whatever is on the board. The owner came out & looked at the special board and said ‘ok, don’t sell any more fish’. We were sitting right in front, middle booth, so was able to see & hear everything. They apparently were getting people’s orders wrong and when they brought their orders back up, they were being so rude to them. Then we wanted to get a refill on soda, the girl addressed my daughter very aggressively and again rudely. And made her wait 10 full minutes to get a refill – I timed it! As I continued to watch this manager & worker, I become more upset with how they were treating people. I asked to speak to the owner and I was told ‘He is too busy’. I just can’t believe how awful these people treated the customers. I know they make a lot of money & people like their food, but you can’t treat your customers like that. If I was a owner and someone wanted to talk to the owner, I’d see what they needed. Hopefully he doesn’t condone this kind of treatment to his customers. Never ever will I go there again and I will pass this along to everyone. Word of mouth is powerful!

Momentum Coffee – Menu with Prices – 3555 Rayford Rd #10, Spring

This place is a must EVERY time I come home to visit. The coffee is great and the food is great. Except today….hence the 3 star review. Customer service. I walk in and they have ONE person running the counter, drive thru and producing drinks. I get it’s a Tuesday and business can be slow during midweek and one person running the whole show can slide. I know how it gets, Ive been a barista. So, I’m patient. But, when the poor girl has a line of 5 deep, 2 cars in drive thru, and still has to make drinks for patrons who previously ordered….shes going to need help. What got me heated was while all of this was happening, there are 3 Owners(I sure hope it wasnt), managers or employees sitting in the corner chatting(or having a mtg….frankly, as a customer, dont know, dont care) and seeing their girl starting to drown, do absolutely nothing. Yet, one of the guys in a tie dye shirt just keeps glancing over at the line as it builds, still do…..wait for it…. nothing. He finally decides to make moves and help the poor girl after I was giving him a stare down. Then the dude finally walks up, asks if I’m waiting for drinks or food, I needed to step to the side counter. I told him that I was actually waiting to be helped and he rudely replied, “Well….I’m right here” DONT ever talk to a customer in that manner or tone. Customer Service is what keeps what makes a business thrive. There are plenty of coffee shops around here but Great customer service is what makes customers return for your coffee. That’s why I kept coming back. I hope the next time I’m in town the customer service is better.

Firelight Lounge – Menu with Prices – 2046 N 18th St, Kansas City

Went for my first time with my home girl and we will not be going back. The owner is very, very rude as well as arrogant. Not only did he rudely push us out of his way without saying excuse me, but when we brought it to his attention, he brushed it off like oh well so arrogantly. The bartenders are awesome and the rest of the staff are wonderful, but I refuse to give my hard earned money to any business where the owner doesn’t have any respect for the consumers.

Knee Deep Coffee Shop – Menu with Prices – 541 S Ft Harrison Ave, Clearwater

Unfriendly Staff and Atmosphere Good Luck dealing with the extremely UNKIND girl with glasses behind the counter with ZERO personality. You would think being a regular customer you would be thanked once in a while for your business. There are plenty of Great Coffee Shops and I would highly recommend Basimo Coffee on the beach! Uber friendly staff! Thankful for your patronage. Yummy Fresh Healthy Goods! The owners are absolutely AMAZING and always happy to see you!! AND they THANK YOU for your business. No extra drama here. I can choose where to spend my hard earned money. I supported this shop because the owner was a Buckeye but he cannot even say good Morning when greeted or acknowledge you as one of his regular customers. He stood right behind the counter and allowed this girl to treat me rudely and rush me out the store and he thought nothing of it. I’m no longer supporting any fellow Buckeyes. I will spend my money where it is most appreciated . They lost 2 great regular customers today. Why? Because the girl behind counter was rude and extremely unkind and could not get me out of that store quick enough so I don’t know what her problem is but you’re not going to keep very many customers treating them the way she treats customers I can tell you that . Businesses are hard to run and keep open as it is so is it really that hard to give a smile and to say thank you or good morning and hello? simple things that could keep a customer coming back? How innovative!! Good Luck!

Gateau O Chocolat – Menu with Prices – 1120 Central Ave, St. Petersburg

I honestly can’t remember the last time I was treated so well at an eating establishment. We found this place on Yelp but when we finally got here I had realized that I actually needed to run back to pick up the car before the parking meter timed out so I left dad seated at the side bar area until I could park the car closer and I took longer than expected so I was worried that the lines for Bodega being so long that they’d have told my dad to take a hike unless he had ordered but to my immense surprise, they did the exact opposite. I came back running, out of breath, and my dad says to me: “The owner Ramon is such a nice man, he even gave me some ice water while I waited for you.” So I get in the huge line to order and Ramon calls me over, “Why are you in line girl? just tell me what you guys want.” So we order 2 local beers which he let us sample a few before we made our decision, and I order the vegetarian sandwich and dad the pollo platter which included grilled chicken, rice, beans, maduros (sweet plantains), and two little grilled hot peppers. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve never had a tofu sandwich that I can’t stop thinking about. It was SOOO flavorful, with a mix of soft, and crispy textures that was just an explosion of the islands in my mouth. Don’t forget to check in for a free cafecito. Overall the service is what stood out most of all. I don’t get to see my dad often and to see that he was treated so well and to see him so happy was priceless in my mind. There’s a reason why there are long lines at all times here, do yourself a favor when you’re in St. Pete and stop by; you won’t regret it.

The Cheesecake Factory – Menu with Prices – South Plains Mall, 6014 Slide Rd, Lubbock

I was sitting at a table enjoying my meal which was very expensive. I watch the management and the staff treat a delivery driver with so much disrespect.. this is uncalled for Behavior. All this delivery driver was doing his job waiting for the food to deliver to a Cheesecake Factory customer.. they treated this delivery driver with rude disrespect, disgraceful discriminatory Behavior. I rather enjoyed my meal but I found a price unruly expensive.. I noticed there’s no handicap ramps there is no handicap doors there is no handicap bathrooms… no handicap waiting area for customers or delivery drivers a like. I watch this delivery driver standing there for 45 minutes he almost fell over three times and this staff just gave him dirty looks never offered a place of comfort… management needs to be sent to federal prison and new management needs to come in that has a more professional attitude and approach toward all customers no matter who they are..Also my table was dirty underneath and table service was awful. The only good thing about my inspection was the food was good.

Sushi Masa Hibachi And Grill – Menu with Prices – 4731 Bayou Blvd, Pensacola

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Penacola, FL, and it has been for the past two years during the time that we have lived here. That being said, I tried the lunch service for the first time last weekend (Saturday, 7/13), and it was a truly awful experience. We waited for over an hour (which is normal; the restaurant is usually crowded). Our dishes were dirty. We had to send back two water glasses due to crumbs and grime floating inside of them. We ordered the all-you-can-eat buffet, and the food quality was not comparable to what you get during the dinner service. We ordered ice cream before we left, and there was leftover seaweed from the miso soup in the ice cream. They also tried to mix two different flavors (I ordered red bean, and they gave me melted red bean at the bottom with strawberry on top; they must have run out). I am not usually one to complain at restaurants, but after countless problems with cleanliness, we requested to speak to a manager. She told us that the dishwasher was having issues, and after going back and forth, we were told that there was nothing that could be done. The legitimate concerns that we brought to her were dismissed as us just being freeloaders trying to get a free meal (not once did we suggest that we weren’t going to pay), and she treated us extremely rudely, not to mention the fact that she admitted that dishes were not being washed properly. I went with several friends and each person who ate there was sick or feeling unwell within the following 24 hours. We called the health department, because that is an unacceptable way to run an eating establishment. It is a shame, because this used to be one of my absolute favorite restaurants, but after the way that we were treated, I wouldn’t go back. I gave them three stars, because every time I had dinner there, it has been phenomenal, but I don’t think that they really even deserve that from me. Tl;dr: DO NOT go during lunch service. Wait until dinner.

Burgerim Gourmet Burgers – Menu with Prices – 5801 Folsom Blvd Ste 130, Sacramento

Another one off my bucket list.. I’ve been wanting to try this place and I want to wait till all the hype died down and not having to wait a long line. As we walked in there was a girl who made eye contact with us and didn’t say a thing to us but, we were greeted by the nice gentleman. We grab two menus and sat down to scroll the menu (we knew we were gonna take awhile because it was our first time) We couldn’t decide what we want to eat so we opt out for the family pack 8 mini 3 oz burgers with toppings. We could also get fancy and choose from grilled chicken, Spanish or the angus. But, we end up getting classics to try out for first timer. I believe he is the manager or possibility the owner? His name is Fareed. Very nice and patience. Answered all Of our questions and also suggest recommendations. We took one row of angus and another row of lamb with everything. Two angus without any topping besides the cheese because kiddos were very picky. The pack also include onions rings and fries (sliced chip-like potatoes)and 6 huge wings for around $35* plus tax Our order didn’t take long since we were the only person in line at the time. We waited for our order and the same girl who didn’t greet us was rude. She was calling another customer name and she came to our side. I looked confuse and said I don’t think it’s our order and she rudely said “yours on the bottom” I don’t know what is her problem but she need to adjust her attitude and her customer service. We were planning to tip once we got our food. But, later changed our mind. Fareed is awesome and have excellent customer service. The fries are good and it was something new to eat than your regular fries (shape wise) the chili garlic chicken wings were huge and the flavor is good. Crispy on the outside but kinda disappointed because it was a bit undercooked.

Silver Creek Ranch – Menu with Prices – 210 S University Parks Dr, Waco

I normally come to this place when my daughter have a game volleyball game at Baylor. I use to rave about this place. However with much disappointment today was a fail on Customer Service. Me and my family were waiting for the food we ordered and paid for and the only person was left was my sonâ??s brisket taco. A person comes up and says do you have any brisket left he seemed like a regular. She said I only have enough for one. Now we are still waiting for the taco. I notice before each order they ask if there is enough meat left. So she makes this man his sandwich and tells me there is no more brisket left I need to order something else. So I asked her how the the man get a brisket sandwich before my sons taco because we ordered first and had been waiting 15-20 minutes. She said there wasnâ??t enough any way and I can just give you your money back. Total fail I understand regulars are faithful customers but every customer should be treated as a regular which is how you grow your business. I had to leave and find my son more food because he doesnâ??t eat pork because our 70 bucks didnâ??t matter much.
