Well I’m not actually there now but earlier today, Renee Massey and myself stopped by looking for Kuchens. Just my luck they were sold out for the day. Well this fat boy wasn’t leaving empty handed. Snicker doodles and chocolate cookies in the display case looked to good to pass up. Renee bought an assortment of the pie bites. After sampling all of the above mentioned, I can’t wait to see how good their Kuchens are going to be! If you are on the westside and needing a sugar fix, I highly recommend The Be Happy Pie Company! They were very friendly and told me to watch their Facebook page for daily specials! Y’all can thank me later for the referral. Tell them Randy Parker sent you. They don’t really know me yet but they will before long!?

Columbia’s Favourite Custard – Menu with Prices – 3304 W Broadway Business Park Ct, Columbia

I am comparing Randy’s with another small chain — Andy’s. Both are located in Columbia, MO. Randy’s Pros: A more smooth, creamy and fresh dairy tasting vanilla yogurt. More selections i.e. toppings. Randy’s Cons: Raspberry and peach toppings are more like jelly than whole fruit toppings (haven’t tried other fruit toppings). Randy is friendly, but his hired staff — not so much. It seems his young staff are not very cordial — not rude — but not cordial. We had no one behind us, and the young lady was all business with a “Next” attitude in spite of the fact that I was trying to solicit a little warmth from our particular window clerk. Next to the jelly consistency of Randy’s fruit topppings — my single cherry on my Sunday had a past it’s prime bite to it. You know sort of like pineapple that has turned. Andy’s seems to have a limited, but sufficient list of selections. Andy’s vanilla frozen custard has an okay flavor, but nothing to write home about. Andy’s staff is very, very friendly with a can do attitude. Because of Andy’s fruit toppings being less jelly like and a friendly staff — we will probably continue to choose them. However, we will check out Randy’s now and then to see if his frozen custard sundae fruit toppings become more like “fruit” toppings.

Greek Town Bakery Menu with Prices 4705 Eastern Ave, Baltimore

Amazing kourabiethes! They are the powdered-sugar-covered almond sugar cookies, and the ones here melt in your mouth! Can’t wait to go back for more. I also picked up baklava, which I’m sure will be just as good. The store was run by a very cute older Greek man who was helpful and sweet and gave me some Greek Ouzo candies “for my pocket.” Highly recommend!

Duck Donuts – Ramsey Street – Menu with Prices – 5155 Ramsey St, Fayetteville

I came in with my family yesterday on the last day of a mini trip from FL to NC, needing heavy caffeine and a bit of sugar to prep for the drive back down and for the first time ever at a Duck Donuts. I left kicking myself wondering WHY HAVE I WAITED SO LONG?! Cris took my order – once I realized the customization options I went a little overboard and had a fairly complicated order for 6 fancy donuts and 3 fancy drinks. Cris handled the order like a pro, guided me through the process and helped answer my questions, then let the kids watch the donuts being customized. Skyler made my drinks and there was a little mixup miscommunication on whether we wanted hot, iced or frozen, so we had to have a hot drink remade to frozen and one iced didn’t taste like I hoped and they happily remade it to make sure I was happy. I felt so bad there was a little fluster over the situation but they went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we loved. My only disappointment was that we waited til the last day of our trip to try this place and now we have to wait for the next trip.

Bud Light Top Shelf Lounge – Menu with Prices – 175 W Kellogg Blvd, St Paul

Great place to watch an event at the Xcel center. Friendly staff, all inclusive, food is leagues better than what you get at any of the concession stands, personal seating without needing to worry about the crowds.. The list goes on.

Valei Arts Tattoo Studio – Menu with Prices – 10230 Atlantic Blvd Suite 10, Jacksonville

Loved my experience here! I went in for a simple piece and my first in 10+ years. I’d stopped by a few weeks earlier.to schedule an appointment. The place is really clean and comfortable for everyone there. I felt completely at ease the entire time. Randy was prepared and had a sketch ready for me that was perfect for my silly lil tattoo. We agreed to add a it of color and he set up the station. Super clean and professional all around. My tattoo took all of (maybe) 30 minutes but he talked to me the whole time because I’m an anxious mess. In the end I love it and would definitely go back for another! I wish I had the patience for something big because he does amazing pieces…but I’m way too ansty! Thanks, Randy!

Westside Village Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1716 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles

This was the best bakery on the westside with brownies that would knock your socks off. The scones were moist and delicious and baked fresh daily along with muffins, cookies, breads, etc. They had the most beautiful decorated cakes and bundt cakes. Lucky for us you can still buy a lot of these delicious baked goods on line at www.westsidevillagebakery.com.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe Menu with Prices 324 Lee Dr Suite A, Baton Rouge

I’m a HUGE fan of the Tropical Smoothie Cafe chain in general so imagine my excitement when I found out Baton Rouge finally got one! This TSC location did not disappoint. Clean and very similar atmosphere to all the other ones. Incredibly friendly staff. They have a drive-through, which is super convenient. AND they have Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 7-9 AM on their smoothies! I would highly highly recommend trying any and all of their smoothies. My personal favorites are the Avocolada and Chia Banana Boost (I like the strawberry one but it also comes in peanut butter). I love that you can still customize your smoothies. If you want to avoid sugar or be even healthier, make sure to mention that you don’t want turbinado. For food, I would definitely recommend the Caribbean Jerk Chicken wrap. I really like their wraps and their flatbreads. Can’t comment on their sandwiches or bowls though, since I haven’t had those. Portions are very good, and pricing is very reasonable. You can get a complete meal for under $10 (including an entree, smoothie, and side). The only thing I could see room for improvement on was their speed. But hey, I know they just opened up, and their friendliness makes up for it. Overall, definitely a fan and would definitely recommend. And if you become as big of a fan as me, join their rewards program so you can get freebies and special offers!

Southern Sugar Bakery – Menu with Prices – 4517 Lead Mine Rd, Raleigh

I decided on Southern Sugar Bakery after searching hashtags on IG. Their system`is made easy; you just fill out your request online and they reply right away. I also liked that you can put your deposit down to secure your spot. They were very kind and responsive. When I arrived to the bakery it was a little difficult to find but the office above them were extremely nice and directed me to where I need to go. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile. Their customer service was great. She knew exactly who I was an told me how she loved the theme. When I saw the cookies I couldn’t believe my eyes they were perfect and exactly what I asked for. I like how they wrap the cookies individually for easy taking. I was able to leave some of them in the bag while others I took out. Lastly, they send you an invoice right way and you are able to pay for everything up front which is great. I would highly recommend this company. Great service, delicious cookies and well priced.

Catch A Piece of Maine – Menu with Prices – 40 Commercial St, Portland

I wasn’t sure what to get my sweetheart for his birthday, but I always remembered him telling me how much he loved lobster! Being that I am in New England and live Maine lobster is the best in the world, I decided a live Maine lobster would be an excellent present to have shipped to my honey in California! It was perfect. He loved it. I ordered him up the jumbo lobster. The lobster was sweet, succulant, and delicious. I highly recommend Catch A Piece Of Maine when purchasing your live lobster. I love the professionalism of this business. Roland was very prompt and helpful in assisting me with my order ensuring it arrived to my love on time for his birthday. I visited at least 5 or more other websites offering fresh live Maine lobster but this one in my opinion looked the best. There is plenty of literature and a youtube video to watch on how they catch the lobster right on the boat, box it up nice and fresh and ready to deliver. The perishable package arrived on time and the lobster came in a styrofoam cooler wrapped up nicely in seaweed. My sweety nicknamed his lobster “Charlie”. Later that evening he steamed and devoured Charlie. The lobster was such a big hit, he told me he could of at least ate 3 of these suckers thats how good it was. A few weeks later he ordered a couple for his brothers birthday from this same company. Next time I will be ordering the 6 pack of lobsters for my love. Again I highly recommend this place!

Shmokeyâ??s BBQ – Menu with Prices – 1186 Frances St, London

I went in with quite high expectations and Shmokey’s did NOT disappoint! Harley is so friendly, he made great conversation and made us feel at home. When my friend and I spoke about splitting the full rack he offered to split everything into baskets for us. Most places would give us one basket and plates to share but he went the extra mile to give us each our own sides. The ribs were fall off the bone but not rubbery like Swiss chalet or Montana’s. I could tell everything was done fresh because the second we put in our order the whole place smelt like a campfire. Like their page on Facebook and get updates on their daily special. Apparently they do delivery through a company but I can’t find anything online. Overall, this place is completely worth the trek!! Great quality, great taste, great ambience. For a full rack and 1lb of wings my bill was $46.

Lulu’s Italian Water Ice – Menu with Prices – 7601 E Gray Rd E, Scottsdale

I hired Joe for a corporate event and it was a smash hit with my client. I went to meet Joe for a tasting at the warehouse. I did not expect a Warehouse for the tasting but as soon as I met Joe he put me at ease. He was so welcoming and wanted me to be happy with all the events flavors and let me taste everything and helped me to put together items that would appeal to a large company. I was just amazed at all the different flavors I loved. Even ones I don’t normally eat were amazing. The executives I brought back the samples for immediately approved my proposed event. Joe set up early, was gracious to every guest and was amazing to work with. And I was able to put signs up for the event that stated that the Sorbetto Employee Appreciation Day was vegan, sugar/dairy/egg/soy free so we weren’t excluding a single employee that we wanted to show appreciation for that day. Some people went back for seconds and thirds they loved it so much. I would highly recommend Joe for even the pickiest clientele for catering needs.

Parkers Pantry – Menu with Prices – 1815 Garrard St, Columbus

Soups, salads, sandwiches – the essentials for a cozy, local lunch spot. The exterior of Parker’s Pantry has bay window seating overlooking the park, giving off a homey vibe and meshing well with the rest of the neighborhood. When you enter the restaurant you can tell that there is a lot of potential. Parker herself greeted us with samples of their homemade soup. It was delicious, and in retrospect I should have ordered that for lunch. Everyone had great customer service skills and was genuinely nice. The menu was explained well and we were also shown the hearty salad portions. My friend ended up ordering the sandwich special, which was a buffalo chicken sandwich with blue jack cheese. I ordered off the menu and went with a chicken salad sandwich on croissant bread. The food was good and I would not mind having my dish again. The only draw back was the portion to price ratio. The plates seemed kind of empty with only a sandwich and no sides. Plus, only bottled water. I would definitely go again and order a soup or salad. Even more, I checked their FB and saw that Parker does catering for events and makes delicious desserts. I wish I had known that earlier because I have a real sweet tooth and would have loved to try some of the treats. I can easily see this place being very successful over the coming years. It will be a great addition to the food scene of Columbus.
