Let me start by saying that I’m a chipotle fan… why? Because I’ve been going there for years and not only are their chips good and great guacamole also but their customer service has always been superb! If I had a question about anything and I had that confused look on my face, the employees never made me feel dumb and most of the time never waited for me to ask instead they asked if I had something on my mind I wasn’t sure about… that is nice. Sadly, I cannot say the same thing about this Diablo’s location nor can I say much nice things about this place due to my experience. So enough about chipotle and more about this place. My coworkers and my husband have raved so much about this place and a bonus they always throw at my face is FREE CHIPS! So it was Saturday around 7pm, the place was fairly empty seating about two tables inside, the employees looked miserable waiting for their shifts to be over. We walked over to the front end of restaurant to order our food, first of all we were never greeted. That’s alright because I get that you don’t like your job just here for a paycheck but the thing that gets me is ok why are you going to work a customer service job if you obviously don’t enjoy it at all, it’s all about faking it till you make it right?? So we proceeded to order our food, I ordered a salad, shredded lettuce, brown rice, black beans and for the sake of saving our animals, no protein… proceeded on with cheese and pico de gallo and THEN, (different employee, female) gives me a not so friendly look and I tell her “guacamole please” to which she replied, “you know that’s extra” and me being a millennial and guac lover “yes, that’s fine” her next action is what really just wanted me to let her know that I’ve changed my mind and didn’t want anything anymore but I didn’t want to “make a scene” she grabbed the spoon, placed spoonful of guac and what seemed like something out of a prison show showing what inmates eat she continued to place the spoonful of guac and just aggressively dropped it in my salad bowl while giving me the same uncomfortable mean look as before. She then proceeded to slide my bowl over to the cashier. To say the least, I was very uncomfortable with her “customer service skills” and not content at all with how extremely uncomfortable I was being stared at that way. Now on to the taste of the food, it was okay. I was very upset after my experience, it might have been why I didn’t enjoy my food entirely. If you ask me, I’d rather go to Chipotle any day anytime and Pat extra for chips and yes, guac than to ever step foot in this Diablos and encounter this employee ever again. Sometimes it’s not how good the food tastes but the way we consumers (that by the way are paying good money for their food) are treated. I’d rather go somewhere I know I’m welcomed than somewhere new and get stared at like an imbecile who should’ve stayed home. Whoever made it this far, thank you.

Taqueria El Crucero – Menu with Prices – 2505 N Robinson Dr, Waco

Menu is on the wall by the cash register. $.50 extra charge for credit card purchases. The woman behind the counter is very matter of fact and not so friendly, get your order straight and get on your way. We ordered chips and salsa and guac. 3 cheese pupusas, 3 red enchiladas. Green bottle is the hot, red is the mild salsa. The salsa verde has some heat to it. The guac is super creamy but tastes decent. The cashier brought out our guac and made sure I wanted cheese on top of my enchiladas. She warmed up as we waited for our food and was quite attentive. The salsa isn’t bad, both the red and green. They will bring out more chips if needed as long as you order the chips and guac. The 3 chicken tacos, 3 cheese pupusas and 3 soyrizo Red enchiladas was $24.86. This small spot is deceptively good. We enjoyed everything and their quesadilla was so much bigger than we thought. The soyrizo red enchiladas were so yummy and the chicken tacos were tasty too. Good spot for some authentic Mexican or pupusas. Doesn’t look like much from the outside and inside but the flavors and food are well worth the visit.

Happy Chicken – Menu with Prices – 119 Bloomfield Ave, Newark

The food is great, however: I went there today, right after work to purchase 6 empanadas and a sausage with tostones. I’m placing my order and the person is getting my order together but, is very much involve in a conversation with a fellow co-worker and another customer. I had asked where are the straws and please give me two of their spicy sauce. This Employee, gave me a look, like really, acknowledged what I ask for and immediately continued the conversation with other two people. I felt so uncomfortable, I was afraid to ask for anything else. This employee, then proceeded to charge me for the items. I paid with my credit card, he gave me a pen and the Receipt to sign. The pen wasn’t working, he was so busy with his conversation, he did not see me struggling when trying to sign the Receipt. I put the pen down, and used my own pen. At that point, I just said thank you and left the place. I’m in the car now, one block away, I started to take the food out to eat when I realized, the employee only gave me 4 empanadas. Really! I went back, I told the employee, I asked you for 6 you gave me 4 instead. Oh, I understood you ask for 4. I only charged you for 4. Can I have two more please. We have one left, can you wait for the new batch? I said never mind, good bye. What I should of said, if you would of focused doing your job, instead of the conversation, I would of had my ordered filled correctly. SMH!!!

Mexican Express – Menu with Prices – 3228 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville

I love Mexican food and I tried this place for the first time since I was on Bob Wallace today running errands. Here is my ‘to-go’ pic of my order in the car. So basically, mexican food is just good period. But some are just a whole better than others. This was very good! Enchilada, Burrito, Guac Salad on the side and chips with hot sauce. They do not skimp on the melted cheese and if it looks unhealthy then just eat some refreshing guac salad and keep going! I normally have ‘salsa’ not ‘hot sauce’ but this is their version and you only get a small amount but it was still very flavorful without being too hot! You get a better deal of 6.95 (2 items, side, tea and chips) if you pick up. You can see you get a lot but I would want a bit more sauce for my chips. I did not have enough and got the last drop I could out of it! I can see stopping here again when I’m that way. I’m a little leery about small ‘hole in the wall’ type places but as long as they keep the place clean, have good service and good food, then I’m probably missing lots of gems out there. This reminded me of El Palacio.

JOE & THE JUICE – Menu with Prices – 252 S Brand Blvd, Glendale

I had a very unfortunate experience here. The female employee who helped us out sat atop the counter on her cellphone the duration of our entire interaction. She was impolite, we were not greeted when we came in, and in the middle of ordering she interrupted us to ask her coworker for the passcode to his phone so she could change the song playing. They started fussing over his phone and were intimate and physical to the point it made my entire group uncomfortable while we stood there waiting until they were finished reveling so we could continue ordering. Before they started making our drinks they had to spend some minutes finding a song to play on their phones. When our drinks were ready, we weren’t told or acknowledged they were just placed by the register next to the female employee’s legs since she was still sitting on the counter on her phone. To add to how this kind of customer service hurts a business – throughout all of this – there were multiple people who came in and waited to order and eventually walked out because they were ignored or uncomfortable. I understand this is a new location but experiences like this deter me, (and probably any other customers who are treated like that) from ever wanting to come back

The Salad Maker – Menu with Prices – 300 E Market St, Charlottesville

The last two times i’ve gone the staff has been incredibly rude. The first time I ordered a salad and didn’t explicitly circle what I wanted and the person making the salad was extremely rude about it. The second time, I was standing in line about to order a salad and another customer came in front of me dropped of his order card. I ordered a special salad which wasn’t on the card so I didn’t write anything on mine. I was in line before the customer and had been standing there before he came and the person making the salad told me that I had to wait and proceeded to make the other customers salad first. The staff then proceeded to whisper about either me or the other customer while I was paying. Both situations made me really uncomfortable and the staff did not acknowledge their error. I was with a coworker who also mentioned they were rude as we left. Not only are their salads super expensive but their customer service is not great at all. I will NOT be going there again. There are other places with far cheaper salads and more variety that are way better.

America?s Best Wings – Menu with Prices – 12551 Jefferson Ave Suite 207, Newport News

I frequently order wings from this place and may I add I usually spend a lot of money here as I order for my family and take a large amount of food to family who live too far to drive here. The sauce is always lacking which is why I order extra sauce. I asked for extra sauce on the side with my wings and when they brought my wings out there was not extra side. The guy proceeded to say it’s on the wings which I said I asked for it on the side AND then he asked who took my order. When he said something to the guy who took my order (instead of just getting the extra sauce) the guy who took the order said it’s on the wings. He goes “you didn’t say you wanted it on the side” in which I said “yes I did”. First I’m a paying customer don’t argue with me about some sauce and secondly it doesn’t matter if I did or did not GET THE SAUCE. Horrible customer service and I won’t be returning. It’s already annoying to have to ask for extra sauce because they do not know how to properly sauce their wings. I refuse to give them my money just to be argued with.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews – Menu with Prices – 4605 South Landing Way, Tucson

Red Robin – Where the food is just OK, the service is really bad and the management customer service is nice. My daughter and I arrived early to beat the crowds and hopefully have a decent meal with decent service. We beat the crowds since it wasn’t even half full yet. We ordered our drinks and the short stack of onion rings (6 rings). My drink came out quickly, but since my daughter ordered one of the Cream Sodas and it took longer for her to receive hers. After about 10 minutes after my daughter received her drink her burger showed up. She had ordered the Pigout Tavern Double Burger with their in house made chips. 10 minutes later the manager came by and told us that there was something wrong and that she would pay for the onion tower short stack. At which point she asked what I had ordered. Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that I placed my order 20 minutes ago and our onion rings 30 minutes ago and you just now tell me something was wrong. I reminded her that I had ordered the Guacamole Bacon Burger with Chipotle Aioli for my side salad. Well my burger finally showed up but instead of a container full of Chipotle Aioli, there was hardly any, maybe a quarter full (and that is stretching it). I was well into my burger when our appetizer finally showed up and my daughter was almost done with hers. They were very hot, but super greasy. The onion rings came with full containers of ranch dressing and their Camp-Fire Mayo dipping sauces. Kind of what I was expecting with the Chipotle Aioli. Maybe the Chipotle Aioli is made of gold and the 50 cent up charge for the Chipotle Aioli only gives you so much. Bottomless sides means bottomless fries. As I mentioned before I had a side salad and my daughter had the chips. We got more fries. But how can I get more fries, if I didn’t want fries. What about more chips? Or a refill on my salad with some more of that rare Chipotle Aioli. Sodas were supposed to be unlimited as well, but we were limited to one each. So, overall the food was just ok. The burgers only ok and the guacamole was spread so thin that I hardly noticed it was there. The chips were very dark (almost burnt) and had no flavor. I guess if you wanted you could have paid for some dipping sauce, but we saw how well that work with the Chipotle Aioli. It was nice the manager covered our onion rings, but there were other issue here that they need to take care of. Maybe they were a bit short staffed tonight, but when you watch her punch in the order at the table on a little handheld device, how do you lose two thirds of our order? I think after this experience we will pass on going back again.

Tinga Tacos – Menu with Prices – 308 W McDaniel St, Springfield

My daughter and I were on our way to another place for lunch and happened to walk by Tinga Tacos. She said she’d heard they were good so we changed our plans and went in and had the most fabulous lunch! I had the Steak Jame and the Get Off My Prawn lunch special (on flour tortillas) with the cilantro lime rice. We also got a side of chips and guac – she ordered the Fruity Piggles and Udder Delight on crunchy tortillas. We both were blown away with how fresh and tasty everything was. The chips appear to be homemade and the guac was to die for – we practically licked the cup it was in. These are some of the best tacos I’ve ever had and I’ll admit it was hard to choose from all the wonderfully different choices they had. We will definitely bet back!

The Chicken Barn – Menu with Prices – 2601 Oakdale Rd # S, Modesto

The food is good but the service is actually horrible. I ordered on the phone and came in because I was in a hurry. Not one customer was there and they made me wait 15 minutes longer once I got there for a 10 peice chicken meal. It’s like they didnt want me to place a pickup order, they didnt like that. And the lady was rude. I really wont go anymore because the whole staff is actually VERY RUDE. 100% the rudest establishment I’ve been to. Horrible customer service.

Tavern United Polo Park – Menu with Prices – 1405 St Matthews Ave, Winnipeg

The place was empty on a Friday night. Went with about 10 friends and there was only 2 other tables of two. We order drinks and it takes about 20 minutes to get them. We all order food. My wife and I didnt get our food until 45 minutes after everyone else got theirs. They finally got back to us and said some how our order didnt get processed ( they forgot) they gave my wife a bowl of chips and said we are putting your order in right now. It should be out soon. Meanwhile our whole party is finished eating so. We get our bill at the end of the evening and no comp no discount… nothing. My wife kindly mentioned our wait and if we could get compensation. They gave us a measly 7$ off our 90$ bill. With tip it still came out at 95$ I shouldnt have tipped but it comes as a habit when I go out. But the service was sub par and the serving size was terrible. If I’m paying extra for onion rings I expect more than 6. Would it recommend this location. My home location in Windsor park is 5/5 high recommended by me.

Taco Town Baltimore Menu with Prices 413 W Baltimore St, Baltimore

Let’s Taco bout how freaking delicious this place is! Was stoked to hear that another taco place opened up downtown and had to give it a try. The tacos are authentic, filling, AND GUAC IS FREE!! We tried one of each taco – the chicken, chorizo, steak, cactus + mushroom, el pastor, fish and added an elote to the mix. My favorite was surprisingly the cactus + mushroom taco. It was Smokey, meaty and hearty and very unique. The way this works is you pick the meat, they grill and fill your corn tortillas with that meat, and you pick the toppings (chipotle style via assembly line). The toppings are much more extensive than what chipotle has to offer, including radishes, jalapeños, corn, variations of sauces, and like I said GUAC IS FREE! Price wise, 3 tacos come out to $10. An elote is $5 and the chips are $4. The cheapest taco joint I have been to in the city so far but they don’t skimp on quality or quality. The food is very filling, the flavors are all there and superb considering how recently they opened. The service is super friendly and accommodating but can be very slow at times as it seems that there are only two people working at a time so expect a relatively long wait time, esp during the lunch and dinner rush. Hope they work out the long wait time and kinks in their ordering system But in the meantime, the tacos are definitely worth the wait time!!! Very minimal parking spots (basically all street parking). However this is a great spot for people who go to UMB since it’s right on their campus. This has definitely become the best bang for your buck taco place in Baltimore so far. Although this place is relatively new, you can see the quality of this small family owned business and how much they care about the customer. really excited to see this business grow and can’t wait to frequent TACO TOWN when I need a taco fix.

Thistle Draftshop – Menu with Prices – 5210 Farm to Market 2920 Suite 100, Spring

I came in here because my friends were hosting their baby shower here. Yes, baby shower. Don’t judge! They had reserved a secluded area toward the back and they had some food catered by Thistle Draftshop (sliders, salad, chips/salsa/guac); and despite this being a bar, I was impressed by the quality of their food. When I tried the sliders, I was like “oh wow, this is actually pretty good”. My friends complimented the salsa, and I personally enjoyed the guac and the chips. Let’s talk about the chips. They sprinkled some seasoning on top of the chips that gave it a little kick and added to the flavor. I’m definitely a fan. As for drinks. They have beers. They have lots of beers. I mean, seriously, they have beers, beers, and then some more beers. If you like beers, you will like Thistle Draftshop. My only complaint about this place? It’s all the way out in Spring and not in Houston. Getting here will take me almost an hour so I can’t frequent this place. So all you Spring residents should rejoice the fact that there’s a cool-ass bar in your neighborhood. if you don’t feel like driving too far into town, THIS is the place to go.
