I don’t think I have ever seen this place without a line up of at least 5 people. Earlier in the day it’s busy for those who need their caffeine and breakfast before working in the mall. I often go in the afternoon for a mid afternoon snack of timbits or a donut. The occasional time I have had a sandwich which is just ok but I can watched them make it. They are usually pretty good to make the line move and the cash staff give signals when they are available to take your order. They seem to be efficient that way. Also the products seemed to be filled well and often what I want is available so that’s good too. There is seating but with it being so busy and crowded, I find it’s not very comfortable and often most tables are few booths are occupied. It’s also busy with the main entrance/exit where they made sandwiches so there are people standing waiting for their order while people are coming and going. The other opening is better.

Stella Luna Gelato Cafe Hintonburg – Menu with Prices – 1130 Wellington St W, Ottawa

While the customer service was pleasant and the gelato was quite nice (if expensive, I understand its handcrafted but could have paid half for a product bought in a grocery of the same quality.) The wait time was atrocious, the line up to pay, line up to get your order, the interior was far too crowded for a safe flow of traffic and efficient clear lines. While waiting to pay the line was cut twice in confusion and then waiting to get the gelato was even worse because multiple samples were being handed out per customer. It was disorganized and frustrating since I had only ever heard good things, but since having experienced that mess, I won’t be returning any time soon if at all.

SomiSomi Soft Serve & Taiyaki – Menu with Prices – 9292 Warren Pkwy Suite 260, Frisco

My friend and I have been waiting for this location to open for almost a year now! She first introduced it to me in SoCal, and we were so excited to see that a location was opening in the DFW area! We were both really eager to have a place with amazing black sesame soft serve. We came on opening weekend after dinner, and there was a huge line. We agreed that the inside of the place was well-designed because there was minimal seating and more stand-up bars to eat on so that there was more space for people to line up. They were very efficient in taking and cranking out orders, and I think we ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a 30+ person line. I ordered the upside-down ah-boong with black sesame soft serve. It tasted just as good as the one in San Diego. The black sesame flavor was light and nutty, and the texture was so smooth. The fish pastry portion was also pretty good, but I think it started becoming too sweet for me during the last few bites. We also got samples of their custard-filled taiyaki, which were delicious as well but just way too much food for us. I just wish this place were in Dallas instead of Frisco so that I could go more often! Then I’d probably be here at least 3x a week…

Fresh Italian Pasta – Menu with Prices – 4 Central Terminal Area, Jamaica

This restaurant gets a one star because my omelette was actually good. I will admit it was crowded and there was an overwhelming amount of orders. However the employees continued to dismiss me for over 40 minutes as I tried to inform them my number was skipped. One employee stated to me that it was a lot of orders and everyone was waiting. When I finally got her attention, I told her what number I was she said she did not have that order, and did not know what it was. I explained that I received a notification my order was ready, however when I asked her she stated I had to wait. With attitude stated I need your receipt.I explained that I joined the line to pay after she informed me I had to wait and when she checked the kiosk she saw my order. She explained someone took the omelette because she made it… I was standing there the whole time she made a mistake and clicked on the kiosk she had served my meal. She then went on to make my meal and did not apologize and also did not include what I originally ordered which included home fries. I literally never write reviews but I just need this establishment to teach their employees some customer service. There is a lot of stress and anxiety which many experience with traveling, getting food should not be add on to that. Employees should be trained on how to speak to people. I did not raise my voice or say anything out of line. The employee disregarded me was extremely disrespectful. I also believe the time management of creating meal given that all customers at this establishment are on schedule to fly need to be revised and more efficient.

Yummy Villa – Menu with Prices – 5295 Whittlesey Blvd #400, Columbus

Today I was not greeted by a lady with Red hair and freckles. I was the only one standing in line waiting for her to say a word to me. Not one smile or hello! She took my order, and my money… Then proceeded to stall me on giving me the change from my order. After waiting while she acted as if she was busy, she dropped my change from a high angle in the air into my hand as if she dare not touch me. It was by far the coldest, rude, unwelcoming interaction I’ve ever had. Someone needs to get the snot nosed stick out her ass! You’re working customer service, not a Klan meeting!

Blossom Juicy Bar – Menu with Prices – 2801 S Dixie Dr, Dayton

This place has great bubble tea & milk tea! It’s a very small business on the end of a strip that is connected to two restaurants. The business is maybe only 10ft wide? The name on the building is hard to see. I had the address typed in my GPS & it said I was there, but i had to drive around & it took me a minute to find it. There was only 1 employee working & it very busy, so it took about 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. There is no seating inside, but there is a little bench outside to sit & wait. In our time standing outside waiting for our drinks there was about 10 people standing outside & a few cars going through the drive-thru. This was on a weekday around 2:00pm. Obviously people love this place! My only constructive criticisms are that they definitely need a larger sign for advertisement, which would not only bring in more customers, but allow people to find it easier. They could use another employee to make things go faster & because there is no seating inside, it would be nice if they had a couple tables or additional benches outside to sit & wait. Other than that, i highly recommend it!

559 Street Tacos – Menu with Prices – 780 E Nees Ave, Fresno

So let’s start off by mentioning the hype for this mobile eatery. Good reviews, posts of items are very enticing and could not wait to try. So the visit was accessible but if your head is not on a swivel, the location can easily be passed up! Ordering was confusing , you have a mix of people standing around waiting for their order mixed in and around the line too order. If the line is short then you will be able to see which line is which, now ordering you will need to request for the “broth to dip your tacos in” at time of ordering it does not come with any order of the tacos ( at least during my visit) . Menu is minimal and easy, meats are a variety , now once you order I recommend asking for your to go containers for the salsas and for the fixings. ( trust me it will kill the time waiting to get once you get your order). Now once you get your order number hang around to hear your order, a lot of people wandering around back to their car or taking off for a walk, it holds up the pick up process. Second, be sure your able to get your salsas ahead of time because everyone congregates around the extremely small area to pick up your order ,because everyone else who just got their order is blocking the pick up line ( the condiment area needs to be moved away from the pick up line or nominate an employee to man the pick up order line to lessen the congestion of people standing around blocking, talking , socializing and restricting those to grab their orders when called. Now the taste of tacos delicious , but the ease of grabbing your condiments and available salsas is very frustrating once you have picked up your tacos, etc. if I had to give a direct useful and actually implement recommendation , relocate the condiment area away from the pick up order window area or have an employee/ associate handing out the orders and direct customers away from the pick up window.

PepperJax Grill – Menu with Prices – 3200 N 27th St, Lincoln

My wife and I tried to go here last night. As we pulled into the parking lot, we could see that the drive thru seemed busy based on the number of vehicles in line. That said, we decided to go in and place our order to go. Once inside, we go straight to the counter to place our order since we were the only would be customers in line. Despite being the only people in line waiting to place an order, the staff completely ignored us. At no point did a single staff member make an attempt to acknowledge us. Seeing that the staff was busy, most likely with drive thru orders, we cut the staff some slack and waited for several minutes to even be acknowledged. After several long minutes of standing I literally had to wave both hands in the air to try to get any one of the staff members to even look at us. The young man working the grill, who was right in front of us the entire time, looked up and made eye contact with me but simply went about his tasks. I again wave both hands in the air and very rude lady looks at me and says “we’ll get to you”. At this point, we were more than annoyed at the HORRIBLE customer service and walked out and happily took our business elsewhere. It was clear that the staff was busy and visibly frustrated by what appeared to be a rush of orders. I can understand being busy and having to wait my turn, but to be completely ignored is unacceptable. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve experience such blatant disregard for customer service. I hope the management at this location does something about the completely rude Friday evening staff.

Jonquils Cafe and Bakery – Menu with Prices – 125 Newbury St, Boston

Definitely the new IG-worthy cafe. Very dainty, yet gothic interior with lots of silver and pink against black. I went on Saturday around 2pm, and all of their desserts were sold out, as the place has recently been extremely busy. That’s no problem for me. I did however have an issue with the fact that many people were standing in line waiting for desserts but the staff never made any announcement about it until we had waited in line for about 35 minutes. Several people in front of us also seemingly did not know, as people got to the counter disappointed and frustrated. Please do something about this. Many people are coming here to try the desserts but are waiting in line to no avail. My boyfriend and I waited in line and decided to just grab a bite and some drinks since there were no desserts, but yet AGAIN (!!!!) the staff did not announce that they were not even serving food until we reached the counter. The staff only made two announcements during the time that I was there and many people were leaving hearing this. They made an announcement once when we were halfway in line, then once after we had ordered. I suggest putting a sign up on the door letting patrons know if they are out of desserts for the day because I had a pretty unpleasant experience waiting for nothing. The longer I was in Jonquils, the less impressed I became. Since there was no food or desserts, the two of us got hot drinks. I got the earl grey lavender latte and my boyfriend got the blue moon matcha latte. Standard unsweetened tea lattes, nothing special. I also got a pistachio macaron, which was also… nothing special. I must say that my experience was very underwhelming. I still want to try their desserts at some point, but won’t be going out of my way any time soon. I feel like the only time I’d be here again is if a friend from out of town was visiting and wanted an IG-worthy cafe pic.

Mr. Joe’s Off The Beach – Menu with Prices – 5141 Seminole Blvd, St. Petersburg

Friday nite 6-8-18, place is packed, no server waiting tables which was completely insane, EVERYBODY has to go to the little crowded bar for a drink. There isn’t even a designated area st the bar for walk ups to order a drink, you have to squeeze between people standing by the bar and than the people seated at the bar. The 2 bartenders Diane and the other thin blonde can’t keep up with the amount of people, your understaffed, I waited and waited and waited to order a drink where I wasn’t even noticed, in fact I felt ignored, after 10 mins i never got a drink, unacceptable! But while waiting, i noticed they have at least 30 hand written tabs laid out, which is old school, ever heard of a POS system, I see bartenders wasting valuable time trying to find the correct tab to add drinks to. These bartenders are not smiling at all, they seem like they dislike people and their jobs and they can’t wait to go home.

Scrumpy’s Hard Cider Bar and Pub, Home of Summit Hard Cider – Menu with Prices – 215 N College Ave, Fort Collins

Awesome hard cider bar! My favorite was the tart cherry, according to the bartender it was their very first side or they made, I want to say they had somewhere between 15 and 20 on tap. Everyone else with this ordered Bloody Marys and said they were fantastic. Small booths line the south side of the space and old church pews line the north side of the space with the bar in the middle an elevated sitting area with a fireplace is in the northwest corner there’s some seating in a patio area in front. A unique idea they have are numerous board games. The only thing that I found a little odd and it may have been because we were there in the early afternoon, all ordering and paying had to be done at the bar there are no barmaids, waitresses or Waiters.

St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub Menu with Prices 2300 Mt Vernon Ave, Alexandria

If you’re going to the Del Ray farmer’s market this is right across the street for a nice lunch afterwards (which is what we did on a Saturday morning) . It’s nice, and has a large amount of seating. The egg/turkey sausage/cheese breakfast sandwich was satisfying. I liked that it wasn’t too loud inside and they also have outdoor seating which is really nice on a warm day. The only thing I didn’t like was the placement of the menu. It is in the hipster chalkboard style on the bathroom door, so if someone is standing in line near it, you’re awkwardly just staring at the wall behind them. That’s pretty much my only gripe, but otherwise I’d recommend this for a chill/casual spot to read, study, or catch up with a friend. Also, they have have nice corner and window booths for large groups/families.

85C Bakery Cafe – Katy – Menu with Prices – 23330 Grand Cir Blvd Ste 100, Katy

This place needs improvements on customer service. I came only to order sea salt coffee so I waited in the Cake and Drinks only line. Not one cashier looked up to see if there was anyone at the Cake and Drink line to take my order. There were 2 at the time and 3rd cashier came to help out and I thought she was going to call for the next guest at the drink line. But I was wrong. All they said was â??I can help the next guest in lineâ? and looked at the pastry line. 6 customers have been helped while I was still waiting in line. I even checked to see which person I would be standing behind if I decided to wait at the pastry line and I would have been called next from pastry line over the drink line. I didnâ??t want to be rude but by that time I had to speak up. Cashier apologized but something should be done to improve customer service or get rid of the Cake and Drink line if you are not going to service anyone waiting there. After all and done I thought I was going to enjoy my sea salt coffee but it was not that strong. It tasted watery. The sea salt coffee at 85 degree bakery location next to Ranch 99 was way better.
