Wanted to really like this place. Walked in with a friend, there were about 5 other people drinking. We sat at the table, which is really close to the bar. We waited for the bartender to acknowledge us, we learned we needed to be three feet closer for this to happen. Apparently that was too far away for him to see us (sarcasm. We ordered 2 beers as 7 people walked in the door. We sat back down as he began to take their orders instead of fulfilling out. They were a bit unruly and asked several drink related questions. After 5 minutes of this, he began making their drinks. We realized since they were a bigger party, they were more important so we left. We told him we were leaving since he was too busy to get our drinks, he said “okay”. This is a few blocks from my house and I wanted to dig it. I was bummed.

Power Blendz Smoothies – Menu with Prices – 1950 W Rose Garden Ln suite 140, Phoenix

My wife was unimpressed with her orange smoothie, but I liked mine that was raspberry and blueberry. We were using a Groupon that was expiring soon and it was our first time here. The young lady working here had her back turned when we walked in because she was busy cleaning, but quickly realized we were there and immediately went into customer service. She was very cheerful and informative when we asked her questions, even some not related to the store itself (she appeared extremely fit, so asked if she was aware of certain fitness classes in the area). She (I didn’t get her name) left a great impression on us, probably a bigger impact than the smoothies themselves.

Shaker Mill – Menu with Prices – 418 State St, Santa Barbara

I never leave negative reviews because I’m a chill customer with pretty low standards for customer service. But I’m leaving a one star because the customer service of the bartenders at Shaker Mill is terrible. I went there on a busy Friday afternoon and patiently waited for my turn to order a drink. I kept making eye contact with the bartender serving my side of the bar to signal that I’d like to order, but he kept taking drink orders from everyone else around me, even people who we both knew arrived after me. This wasn’t a big deal – I knew he was busy and I didn’t mind waiting until he was free so I could give him my order. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I sat down at an empty bar seat and signaled that I’d like to order a drink. He continued to ignored me and took several people’s orders around me. I started looking around to see if I could order from a different bartender, when the bartender who had ignored me up until this point came up to me, and with his hands wet from making drinks, he flicked the water from his hands into my face. He made eye contact with me while he did that. Shocked – I asked him if he was serious. He just smiled and walked away – he never asked me what I wanted to drink. Shortly after, another bartender approached me and took my order. Then the bartender who took my order went to his side of the bar and started cleaning cups. I watched him and waited to see if he would make me my drink, but he never did. At this point, I’d been waiting 15 minutes at the bar and still didn’t have a drink and had the baffling experience of that one bartender that intentionally flicked water in my face. I started talking to a girl sitting next to me and asked her how long she had been waiting. The bartender that flicked water in my face approached her and took her drink order, but not mine. The girl ordered two drinks – one for me and one for her. And when the bartender heard that she was ordering her second drink for me, he turned to me and said – I’m already making your drink (which was total news to me!). After about five more minutes of making other people drinks, he finally made me and the girl next to me our drinks and served us, with an ironic “it was a pleasure serving you ladies!” It’s rare that I have such shitty customer service and when I do, I usually shrug it off and them having a rough night. But this bartender was an asshole and he was enjoying being a jerk. I’ve had bad customer service before, but I’ve never been blatantly disrespected like that. TL;DL – the bartenders here are assholes and their customer service sucks.

J. Christopher’s Menu with Prices 3070 Windward Plaza, Alpharetta

Service is horrible! Don’t come here for a quick lunch. We called ahead for a group of 13 for 12:00. We got there and the restaurant was 98% empty. It took about 5 minutes for someone to come to the front and ask if we’ve been helped. We told her no but we had called ahead, she says she’ll be right back. She didn’t come back for another 5 minutes. When she came back she told us they wanted to seat us in the back room but another party had just left and they were cleaning. Another 5-10 minutes later and we were finally seated. Why couldn’t they have just moved several empty tables together? We didn’t care about being in a separate room. We were sat with no menus. Two people in the group went to ask for menus. Another 5 minutes waiting for menus and the waitress disappears without asking if we need anything or taking our drink orders. Took a while for her to come back for our drink orders. We made sure to put in our food order while we had the chance. Our drinks didn’t come for another 15 minutes. Someone in my party walked over to the manager and asked where our drinks were. His response was “one drink broke and we had to remake all of them.” ……what does that mean? At least come tell us it’s going to be a while. We didn’t get our drinks until we had been here for 35 minutes. I don’t understand why more people didn’t help the one waitress. She brought our food two plates at a time and slowly. Finally near the end the manager helped. We had to ask for refills.

Dim Sum Oriental Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 2313 NW Military Hwy STE 125, San Antonio

If you are a to-go order, they will treat you like dirt. They don’t want your business if you’re a togo order. I came on a Sunday. I waited in line just like everyone else at 11 am. I think I waited about 10 minutes to get to the front of the line. I told the host that I wanted to make a togo order. He told me to sit down at one of the tables to the side. Then he proceeded to ignore me and continue sitting the rest of the people in line. No menu, no what would you like, no sending a waiter to take my order. Basically just treated me like my money and my business and my time was less important even though I stood in line and waited just like everyone else. I watched for the 10 minutes as he ignored me and walked everyone else to their tables. Then he handed me a check box menu. He could have spent the 30 seconds to hand me a menu when he told me to sit to the side. It took me one minute to check off what I wanted, and minute for him to enter my order into the computer screen. Another minute for me to pay him $60 for my order. I didn’t have to be treated like I was less important than everyone else in line. I waited in line just like everyone else. I wasn’t worth the 2 minutes for them to take my order. Togo orders are the easiest. Easy money. $60 for someone that wants to walk in and out. They didn’t want my business. I will go to Golden Wok from now on. I’m sure they appreciate togo orders. I’m going to tell all my employees about my experience at this restaurant so that they know not to treat ppl like they don’t matter or that their time is not important. People in line can’t wait for the host to spend 2 minutes taking my order, but I can sit and watch him seat ppl for 10 minutes while he ignored me. P.S. And when my order came out, the waitress tried to hand my order to an Asian woman that was standing. When I got into my car, I realized why. The host wrote me down on my order as “CH Ldy.” I’m assuming he meant, “Chinese Lady.” I don’t know why he used my race to distinguish who I was. It would have been a lot easier and less confusing if he wrote me down as “gray stripe sweater” as there were at least 3 Asian ladies waiting in my area. I didn’t appreciate being written down as Chinese Lady.

Riley’s Pub – Menu with Prices – 6314 Yorktown Blvd suite 106, Corpus Christi

Bad service over all. Bartender was extremely rude and yelled at my friends if they needed help. Which was obvious they were talking away from the bar area and if they wanted a drink they would have walked up. Tried to talk to the manager and he ignored me and blamed it on the band because it was noisy which she came and interrupted me. My two friends did not want a drink after that. It was not a friendly way of asking it was more of a frustrated way and her hating her job. The owner ignored me when talking to him and then I realized they are a couple so of course he didnâ??t even care what I had to say. Then whatâ??s more pathetic is the owner and his gf bartender I believe SARAH began to argue in front of all the customers!!!. Never again. I went there to see a band not for the bar. All we needed was an apology but we know they could careless for customer service. Snobby and self entitled energy.

Relevant Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1703 Main St Suite A, Vancouver

Went there for the first time the other day. And the baristas were super passive aggressive. As we were trying to order another barista was trying to make our drink as we spoke, but we finished each drink with milk substitutes. And the baristas were annoyed, because they were making it with regular milk when we didn’t even pay yet. They were also trying to rush us. It was 1pm and there was no line and 4 people sitting inside. They shouldn’t be making drinks as someone is trying to order. The lady at the counter only smiled when I gave a tip. Maybe the baristas all had a bad day? Idk. Overall, sadly not going back. Customer service is important & I had high hopes for this place.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe – Menu with Prices – 8928 Lyra Dr, Columbus

The food and smoothies are delicious! It is a very clean and aesthetically pleasing place to grab lunch. It’s right off of the highway too so if you are traveling, again this is a quick and healthier place to stop vs. driving through a fast food restraint. That being said, the staff is not the best. When I walked up to the register, there was a lady just texting and looking down at her phone. I went to order and she kept texting and didn’t make eye contact. I repeated myself and she continued to look down and said “hold on” and I had to wait for about 2-3 minutes. When I ordered, she was not kind. It is important to have good communication with customers. If she needed to send a text, she could have communicated and asked if I could wait five minutes because she has an important message to send or, she could have asked one of the 4-5 other people working to cover her while she spends time texting rather than just being rude.

Crowne Plaza Harrisburg-Hershey – Menu with Prices – 23 S 2nd St, Harrisburg

R A C I S T! The manager did everything but drain the pool! Our organization were celebrating one of our members but. We had to right our wrong because we did have cake and a bottle of wine in the pool area. The kids and adults were enjoying the evening when the first manager told us to remove the cake and if we had drinks we had to remove them immediately. We immediately took action and apologized all the while removing everything from the area. We also had music playing which nothing was said about that. The kids (all accounted for) went back to enjoying themselves as did the adults including their parents and out leaders of the organization. In walks a white lady who entered the pool and began swimming with know bothering her. Then walks in a black guy who surveyed the area and walked out. Then a young white couple comes in and they got in the water as well. Then a middle eastern guy the first manager another white woman and another man arrive. The manager Rodney Parker burst into the pool area and shouting he stated “we’re shutting this down .” Another leader came over to ask what was wrong and if need be the music could be turned down. He became angry and asked shouting again he yelled “how many of you have keys?” We advised they all do as we were all paid for by the organization. He began yelling he was shutting the pool down. But that was only for the black people because we have white people in our organization and he didn’t telll them or the other white people to get out. The confrontation escalated out in the Hall because our other leader was be confronted about the plates placed on the table that was set up for and paid for by our organization. The manager John didn’t believe her and harrased her. Once I moved out to the hall I asked why the pool was being shut down did someone complain? John advised yes, the lady in the pool. That made matters worse because that wasn’t a valid reason to “shut” the pool down! By now Rodney was filming the kids who had abided and got out the pool! I’m the meantime I asked if the pool was also going to be drained since the white lady made a complaint because she wanted the pool to herself! I also started video taping the incident since both John and Rodney were being absolutely rude and treated us like…you guessed it…2nd class citizens. Rodney proceeded to act like he was calling the police since we continued to probe him as to why he was shutting the pool down at 9:00. Now the white women gets out and walks amongst us and I asked if she had a issue with us. She speaking in her Russian accent said “I’m a educated woman and these kids were unruly.” she walked away. So to sum it up your inferior management team took the word if a “racist white woman” and they ruined the night for a group of multi racial group of individuals just enjoying a night together. The next 6/7, your inferior Event planning team offered no resolution so we walked out of the hotel and moved to another location where we felt welcomed and supported! We will never do business at the crowne plaza again. We have found a hotel who values their customers regardless of race’

8th Day Distillery – Bottle Shop & Cocktail Bar – Menu with Prices – 1125 E Brookside Ave, Indianapolis

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We’ve been twice now and I’m basing this review on my latest visit because the first one was a while back and I don’t remember the specifics. We arrived on Saturday with a group of 4 of us. Our friends frequent this place and the owner and his wife always remember them. Their personalization is next to none. For new business owners they do such a good job of making your visit feel personal and important. That kind of treatment has become something I notice and appreciate. I love whiskey sours and asked what drink on their menu was closest to one. He said they didn’t currently have one, but they did on their most recent menu and he would see what he could do. I told him not to go through the trouble I could easily find one I would like on their current menu, but he insisted. And my drink was FANTASTIC. Our drinks came out quickly for how busy they were and each and every one of ours was delicious. As we were drinking our drinks the owner came over and informed us they had a big party coming in and we could order as many drinks as we wanted, but he asked if he could go ahead and take our cards because he was worried once the party came in, our wait to pay might take longer and he didn’t want that to happen. I’ve had people ask us to pay well before we were done, but his was done because he was anticipating a rush and didn’t want us to be effected. Anyone that’s had to wait a long time for a check before knows how much it stinks to be sitting there done, and just waiting, so I thought this was very polite and I really appreciated it. We ended up ordering more drinks and even with the large partying slowly trickling in, we still got our drinks and checks quickly. They are just so good. I love the owners, the drinks, the vibes. Everything about this place is good and will continue to support it. You can tell it’s a true labor of love for them.

Third Rail Tavern – Menu with Prices – 1133 W Madison St # 1, Chicago

I was there on Saturday 11/11 at 4pm with a party that was celebrating an engagement. The bar was not crowded at all and we were a noticeable group, the bartender even looked at her watch to see if it was a rush time. After about 5-10 min of getting settled, some people already had drinks, my husband and I decided to order. The bartender was not behind the counter. After waiting a few minutes, we saw her standing in the doorway near the bar on her cell phone. After another few minutes, she came over to take our order, but took someone else’s first who already had a drink. Then she took our order but proceeded to text on her cell phone. My husband ordered a Long Island and I informed her that I was pregnant and wanted a mocktail, something light and refreshing. She was still texting. And then she said, “we’ll do you want like a soda or juice? That’s about all I have.” ….. I told her I just wanted something without alcohol in it, obviously, but not soda or juice. I’m not a child. An experienced bartender should know this without me clarifying. I asked if she even could make a mixed drink just without the alcohol. She still proceeded to tell me she only has juice. Then she said, “or an Arnie Palmer. You know what an Arnie Palmer is right?” in a very condescending tone. I said “yes.” So then she makes our drinks and places the LONG ISLAND in front of ME. They looked like the same drink, so I tried it and realized it had alcohol in it! Um, IM PREGNANT. She clearly was inexperienced or just has the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen, and I have 10 years in retail management. A good bartender does not need the customer to tell them what a mocktail is when they’re pregnant. Nor do they text on their phone in front of customers. Nor do they serve pregnant women a alcoholic drink. Someone from management needs to deal with this and contact me immediately to let me know it’s been resolved.

NINETEEN at Awbrey Glen Menu with Prices 2500 Awbrey Glen Dr, Bend

I am giving two stars for the setting. I can’t give it any more (or less) because food and service were not to be, for us two seemingly invisible patrons, last night. I had wanted to try this place, as we live close by and I knew it was a beautiful setting, and we wanted to sit outside on this evening and have a glass of wine and some appetizers. All was on track at first (we were immediately seated at a nice table on the deck). It was not busy, at least on the deck (perhaps because it was a smoky evening). We waited patiently for 5-7 minutes for some attention, as in, from a waiter (at some point I began to note the time on my phone, as it was getting to be a lonnnnng wait for us increasingly thirsty and hungry people). We decided to give it 5-7 more minutes. After about 5 more minutes, a table of 6 was seated two tables away (the table between us was empty). They were immediately attended to by a cheerful waiter, taking their drink orders and chatting them up. We observed this for several minutes, and at that point we knew that this was not going to be the place for us on this night. We re-entered the dining room, walked through, and departed the same way we entered (i.e., the entrance/exit). No one said good-bye…no one cared (sob), we just must have been invisible. We made our way to another close-by establishment (Broken Top Bottle Shop), and were immediately attended to, had delicious food and drinks, and we felt entirely visible!

Mahogany Prime Steakhouse – Menu with Prices – 13665 California St, Omaha

Great experience! We went for our anniversary and when I made reservations on the phone I asked for a special table and she chose a great spot for us. Walked in and girls greeted us with smiles, we told them our name and someone came up and brought us back right away. She told us 2 names who would be serving us. Robert our waiter was at our table within 30 seconds and was eager to tell us about the restaurant and menu because it was our first time there. We ordered drinks and they came quickly. Then Ashley our second waitress came to introduced herself and asked if we wanted appetizers. We declined. 5 minutes go by and Robert is back asking if we have any questions about the menu and if we want to order yet and we wanted to take our time so he left. Ashley came back and took our order. Our food came within 15 minutes. I had the small cut sirloin medium plus he had the salmon. Both delicious. Side dishes are shared…we got asparagus and button mushrooms. Perfectly tasty. One more drink during dinner and carrot cake for dessert…. Heavenly. Jack and Coke tall doubles we’re perfect. The atmosphere is comfortably loud with energetic conversations. They have a wine room with one or two tables that you can request but Robert told us you need to request it a year in advance.
