Placed an order in grubhub and was sent homefries and omelete platter instead if a french toast platter with omelete add on. I attempted to reach out directly to the restaurant to get the correct order sent to me but was denied and offered a credit on my next order. Why would i make that mistake again? Still waiting on the refunded credit from grubhub…

The Cubby Hole – Menu with Prices – 4901 E Silver Springs Blvd #503, Ocala

If I could give no stars I would. I order from off of GrubHub for a pickup. I went to the location and the place is no longer there. I called the phone number and the number did not work. I called GrubHub customer service and they called the restaurant themselves and tried to reach out to them I could not locate them so they had to cancel my order and I have to wait 5 to 7 business days before I can get my refund. Mind you I came all the way to the other side of town circle around the block at least five times trying to find this place only for them not to be able to be located. I am beyond upset and I have to find something else to eat. Meanwhile I was getting messages telling me that my order was being prepared and almost ready. This is so bizarre and crazy what type of restaurant takes orders do the GrubHub app but doesn’t have a phone number or a correct address? Wow.

The Triple Knock – Menu with Prices – 2713 6th Ave, Tacoma

One star might suffice since it was fun playing pinball and the selection was okay but the service by Erin was absolutely terrible. After my SECOND beer of the night, my friends and I were denied service across the street with almost no intoxication and it was due to her call to them. At the time of service, Erin mixed the name “Daron/Darren” up and didn’t ask the last name on the tab therefor charging us for the wrong tab (The correct Daron paid after we received our drink.) We wanted to fix the situation and compensate the correct tab but she refunded the first and accused us of stealing as we walked out after being asked to leave. She then called the other bars in the area and accused us of being too drunk for service. Again, we had only one beer prior and were fully cognizant of the situation at hand. Erin’s poor service and handling of the situation will prevent us from coming back to this bar or recommending it to other friends and family. We understand having to be firm with drunk idiots that cause problems in the bar but to accuse us of various acts as well as call other bars to refuse us service after we called her out on HER mistake is absolutely ridiculous. If you do go to this bar, check to see if the “manager” Erin is working before you order your drinks. You would be better off going to Crown Bar next door or even Half Pint, even though we were denied service, if you want to play pinball.

Michele’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1373 Clinton St, Buffalo

Great little diner, clean, homey retro vibe, reasonablely priced, servers were on point, Michele the owner was on the grill cooking & directing! We ordered breakfast, portions were hearty – french toast, bacon, eggs, grits, breakfast sandwich, real homefries, coffee – all served hot and fresh with a smile. They even have chicken & waffles (next time). They have a small “bake shop” that rumor has it is a lil slice of heaven, wasn’t available this am but one of the items is grilled pound cake! Lunch specials include Meatloaf sandwich, subs, Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, soups – can’t wait to get back and try some lunch eats! My only criticism was the maple syrup, for some reason it was ice cold & chilled the french toast, I even tried pouring it on the plate first to get to room temp but I’d already covered most of the french toast with the cold syrup – kind of disappointing as it actually made the french toast cold, french toast had good flavor though, I’ll just check the syrup bottle next time, ask to have it microwaved or something .. lol. We will be going back!

Emily’s Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 709 Village Ct, Santa Rosa

I’ve had a lot of french toast in my life, consider me a “french toast” entrepreneur. It’s my go to breakfast dish. When I tell you I’ve had LOTS of different versions/types of french toast; believe me. I have never been to Emily’s Kitchen before, but after trying their walnut bread cinnamon french toast, I will be coming back here ASAP. This place, by far, has the bombest, yummiest, most fulfilling french toast I’ve ever had in my 21 years of life. If french toast was a hug it would be at this place. Our waiter had the entire menu engraved into his brain, ask him anything to the ingredients, to where the flour comes from; he knows. This place has the hometown Sonoma County vibe with food to match. When you walk inside my first impression of this place is you will notice the rows of ribbon awards immediately. And they’re there for a reason.

Stephanie’s Sandwiches – Menu with Prices – 10700 Jersey Blvd #100, Rancho Cucamonga

May 9th, 2019. I’ve been to stephanie’s a bit and its been a while since I’ve been here. I went after getting my blood work. When I’ve got inside the place, I was impressed of what they did to the place. They added a self serve soda machine that they didn’t have in the front of the place. They did have it behind the counter the last time i was there, but now they changed the soda machine (plus). The size was a bit smaller than me, but I had no problem. They didn’t have any ice from the machine, but the person who took my order put ice behind the counter and gave me ice so i could fill up my drink. Other than the soda machine, I had a great breakfast. With my drink that i have, i also ordered the french toast sticks. Both of those were $6. The french toast sticks were awesome here because they put sugar on the french toast sticks. I like the burger king ones, but they don’t put the sugar on the french toast sticks like what Stephanie’s would do. The flavor was so delicious that I could come back again here and order more of the french toast sticks.

The Dutch Pot Menu with Prices Empire State Plaza, Albany

The food is good, but nothing worth going out of your way for. However, I will never go back to this place. The female owner is incredibly rude. I prepaid for a small item and a drink on GrubHub because I had lost my credit card that day. When I arrived to pick up my order, she said to me in a very nasty tone, “Now did you really need to make a GrubHub order for this?” I explained that I had lost my card and she said, very sarcastically, “Oh, that makes perfect sense.” I was shocked she would be so rude to me over a service that she has CHOSEN to offer at her restaurant. If you didn’t want to accept GrubHub payments, why are you using their service? I spent a lot of money here over the years and it was such a slap in the face to be treated like that. I will make sure I tell everyone about how you treated me.

Kung Fu Tea – Menu with Prices – 729 N Placentia Ave, Fullerton

At first, the cashier was very helpful with their various selections of drinks, but a few minutes after picking up my drink I later realized my order was completely wrong. I had ordered the snow cap drink and received a milk-based drink instead. I returned back to the cashier to correct my order. Since adding the snow cap was more money, she was asking if I had a dollar. I didn’t have a dollar in cash, so I suggested charging it to my card or refund the original order so they could just redo the transaction for the correct drink price. Then, I noticed the only price difference was 25 cents! So I started questioning what they originally charged me for. The lady in line behind me gives them $1 dollar to speed up the situation, but little do they know I am about principle. Then, the owner stops by to repeat the entire situation stating that they are a franchise and they don’t have a button to just charge $1. So now, I have to re-explain the situation AGAIN and he starts getting angry at the cashier for making a mistake with the order. He finally suggests refunding the original order so that he could just start a new transaction which is exactly what I recommended in the first place! Then, he states that the original transaction was refunded. I started asking for the print out of the refund receipt but he just told me to call him if they double charge me. I wanted proof, so he had to show me on their point of sale system. I later found out the first transaction (incorrect order) charged to me cost more than the corrected order. In short, they were trying to charge me more AND they did not refund the gratuity. I am very upset with this business. All they had to do was simply correct the situation by adding the snow cap topping to my drink for making a mistake, but they made the situation worse. I own a small business, and this is no way to treat customers. Waste of time for a few cents on a mistake they made. Milk tea stores are a dime a dozen, and this is one franchise I refused to return to. Update after owner’s comment: As you can read, he has no sense of Customer Service, therefore, the review rating has demoted his business to 1-star. He never refunded the gratuity which also means they received a higher tip percentage since the new transaction cost less. Also, I clearly stated to the cashier I was ordering a snow cap because that is the only type of drink I order and nothing else in these milk tea stores. There is nothing the owner can say to defend himself.

Galeria Cafe – Menu with Prices – 121 Franklin St, Jersey City

1st time experience : Super cute place on Franklin near the Stop n Shop/ShopRite (I cant remember what it is rn, hah!) Anyway, super affordable breakfast!!! ($4.75 for 2eggs, homefries, bacon) Personally, I think it is MUCH higher quality than Rumba’s on centeal. You get actual homefries instead of French fries, something I will always choose over fries for breakfast. They also had empanadas; I had a Colombian beef and chicken, both were great but the salsa on the side wasn’t anything special. The coffee was amazing, 100% Colombian! Not included in the meal like it is for Rumba’s but it’s in a real mug not a styrofoam cup, yay. WILL be returning!!!

Apple Tree Cafe and Bakery – Menu with Prices – 3501 50th St # 238, Lubbock

Stopped by Apple Tree & Bakery in Lubbock Tx today. Big mistake. Ordered French toast, scrambled eggs, & bacon. Eggs & bacon were. good. French toast wasn?t cooked enough. Asked them to cook it more. Brought back out. Only thing different was it had more cinnamon.. It hadn?t been cooked more. The waitress was so sweet. I left restaurant my daughter was still inside. The guy in the restaurant came out and yelled at my daughter about the toast. He really was a jerk the way he acted. The waitress was so embarrassed by his actions. To make matters worse there was 5 people in the restaurant that heard and saw everything. I won?t be going back to Apple Tree restaurant & Bakery.

Country Way – Menu with Prices – 5325 Mowry Ave, Fremont

Easily the best French Toast I’ve ever had. So admittedly I’ve been going to this place for as long as I’ve had a yelp account which is “really” bad because I love this place. Theres something about old school diners that just brings joy to my heart! Parking can be tricky sometimes though. Most of the times I go, I get a park in the parking lot. It is small so my biggest advice is just to go as early as you can. You can’t miss this place though. The building is shaped really cool and there is a big sign to the next of it. Reasonable prices for Breakfast. I would say on par with regular breakfast chains. But what makes them so cool is the portions you get. Every time I go, I usually have some sort of leftovers that me or a friend didn’t finish. That French Toast is ridiculous though. I feel like the key to a good French Toast is the type of bread you use. I honestly have no idea what kind they use but it’s friggin delicious man. That and it’s HUGE. Oh yea and to add icing on the cake, they add powdered sugar onto the toast if you are into that sort of thing. I know I am. I mean the tasty syurp…Everything here is good. On top of that, servers are always nice and professional. Can it get any better? Basically if you like old school diners and really are a fan of French Toast, you have to go this place soon. You really are doing yourself a disservice if you live in the Bay Are and don’t try them out. I used to be into a French Toast craze when I was growing up as a kid. Nowadays I am team Pancake or Waffle when I get an itch for something sweet during breakfast. Not when I go to Country Way though! I almost always have to get the French Toast.

Issara Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 7251 Warner Ave F, Huntington Beach

Update 4/11/19: The effort that the restaurant has taken to ensure the customer satisfaction has been phenomenal. I received a call from the restaurant regarding the incident and they wanted to ensure that I have been taken care of by Grubhub and to explain the situation they have encountered. Even when a mistake has been encountered, they have shown me that they are willing to go the extra mile to provide the best customer satisfaction they can. Fiona ____________________________________________________________ Update: Krittima, Thank you for your quick reply and willingness to investigate further on this matter. I will be adding another star to the review as the reply and action to this issue has been so swift on your end. To provide you with more details on my end: 1st time I reached out to Grubhub (8:28pm incident) – I asked for a refund on the item we didnt receive. When Grubhub rep called me back, he let me know that the restaurant will be cooking the Pad See You and redelivering this to us. I agreed with the rep and said I will take the food that is being redelivered to us instead of the refund. 2nd time I reached out to Grubhub (9:15pm incident) – I let Grubhub know that I did not want the food delivered at this point and only wanted a refund. Grubhub said they had to call the restaurant to confirm that you guys were closed. This is when the Grubhub rep came back and told me the food will not be delivered. Instead, Grubhub will be refunding the amount of the Pad See You. I have received a confirmation email regarding the refund from Grubhub. Hopefully this can assist with your investigation with Grubhub services. Fiona ____________________________________________________________ Ordered Pad Thai and Pad See You (according to the spelling on grubhub’s menu) through yelp’s grubhub feature. Driver came earlier than what was labeled on order tracker page (1 positive experience). Unfortunately, we received two pad thais. I called grubhub so we can have the Pad See You redelivered to us. Grubhub rep called the restaurant and called me back within 10 minutes. The grubhub rep let me know the restaurant told him that they were preparing the food now and will deliver the Pad See You in 10minutes. That was 8:28pm when the rep called. It was 9:15pm when I called grubhub again because the food still has not arrived. By this time, the restaurant was labeled as “closed” according to yelp. The grubhub rep reached back out to the restaurant. After 10 minutes, I was informed by grubhub that the restaurant did not even start preparing the food because they ran out of the ingredients. Running out of ingredients? Understandable. Lying about redelivering in 10 minutes and not informing anyone that they decided not to hold up their end of this transaction? Unacceptable. I will not be ordering again from a restaurant that lies to their customers and, apparently, cannot process orders correctly.

Spare Parts Diner – Menu with Prices – 63 Clarke Rd, London

What a hidden gem for breakfast! To look at the place you might think twice about going in; big mistake if you don’t. Inside is nothing flashy, just a plain old diner. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the menu is simple but offers selection and the food arrives fast. When it does, wow! I ordered the Tune-up. Best homefries I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection. Fresh eggs cooked just right for dipping the fresh toast and the ham was full of flavor. My compliments to the cook, A++. All for just $7.95. But wait, order the Tune-up before 11am m-f, and it’s only $6!!! Can’t beat that value. The sausages my friend ordered were massive and embarrass all other breakfast sausage I’ve ever had. I will be back and urge others looking for a quick, old fashioned breakfast at an honest price to check it out.
