This facility is really bad if your kid is slow to learn. The instructors don’t have any patience. I stand outside the ring and encourage my 3 year old to push bucket. That’s how he even learnt pushing the bucket. For 2 classes he stood there not moving and no one tried to teach him. They don’t have the time to even look at his posture, legs and tell him what and how to change. They don’t have the time to give the appropriate bucket height. I have to keep telling them that he is tall and he needs more buckets so that he learns to stand straight and push, otherwise bending and pushing won’t help at all. They do 30 mins of courtesy teaching and then the remaining 30 mins they don’t even bother. Overall a total waste of money, time and great disappointment when you see your kid being neglected. I guess the facility is ok if your kid gets ice-skating naturally, not because it has great instructors, but your kid is able to get through the initial phase.

Shred415 Highlands – Menu with Prices – 642 Baxter Ave Suite 101, Louisville

Shred 415 has been open at it’s highlands location for 6 months! I’ve been going to classes at Shred 415 for 2 months. I took advantage of the option to take my first class free. After my class I filled out the survey that was emailed to me which gave me the option to attend a second class for free. After my second class I was hooked and signed up. Shred 415 has multiple class pack options to purchase. The entire facility is very clean and the provide quality equipment to use in class. The bathroom has everything you would need to prep yourself after class…. showers, towels, hairdryer, dry shampoo, hair spray. I enjoy that the class is in a cool temperature controlled studio. I’ve never been disappointed with the music playlist chosen for a class. I always catch myself singing along or pushing myself harder because of the beat. Shred 415 offers one hour classes that are divided into intervals, alternating between treadmill drills and strength training. Most classes are the standard four 15 minute intervals. I like that some instructors switch it up and do six 10 minute intervals or 2 fifteen minutes, 2 ten minutes, and 2 five minute intervals. I like to rotate between starting on the treadmill or on the floor. I try to attend a class 3-4 times per week. Shred 415 uses the MindBody app to sign up for classes. Each day they list multiple times with the instructor and the type of class (total body, arms & abs, butt & legs). I prefer to work out in the morning and they offer multiple class times for me to pick from. Some class times even offer childcare during the class, and it’s clearly marked on the MindBody app. My first class I made it very clear that I WILL NOT be running on the treadmills … the owner and instructor assured me that the treadmill intervals will be at my own pace. Approaching the end of my first two months and I’m occasionally running on the treadmill while in class. I love the entire staff at Shred 415. When I walk in the front door the staff knows my name and checks me in. The instructors give name shout outs to encourage during class…. and sometimes hearing my name gives me that extra push that I needed! The owner, Kathleen, very friendly and present. She quickly responded to my emails and made signing up a breeze! Thank you to Kathleen and the entire staff for making my morning work outs great! Come give Shred 415 a chance!

The Iron Grill – Menu with Prices – 13701 Dallas Pkwy, Dallas

I’d personally like to thank Shawn Wells for introducing me to this facility. It is absolutely one of the best fitness facilities I have visited. While in Dallas, I had the privilege to utilize the space and staff four days straight, and meet Everett. After a conversation with Everett, it’s clear why the facility is top notch, and it’s due to his passion for people and their wellness. That passion is evident in the trickling down of the staff. Daniel, Charlie & Tyler are truly fantastic with their work. They take great pride in what they do and took the time to really get to know me, while having a full schedule of their own. I very much felt like family, and in my book that is something to be proud of. Thank you all for allowing me the use of your time and facility. Cheers!

Soul1 Studio – Menu with Prices – 17961 Sky Park Cir unit A, Irvine

Edit: had to take my review down to 1 star. Without warning, there was a schedule change and two of my favorite instructors are gone (Joisa and Ana). Ruckus and Ashley are still there and are great but not enough to meet all my fitness needs. (Only 2 days /week and the new class times weren’t convenient for me). Since there was no notice of these changes, management did refund my money for the remaining classes I purchased in advance. I was excited for the opening of this studio because I have taken Joisa’s classes at other locations, and she had always been one of my favorite instructors. Her classes are energetic, upbeat, and physically vigorous, but so fun they seem to pass too quickly. I purchased a class pack, but i realized I’m going to burn through it in no time, because ALL the instructors are AMAZING. Seriously. Joisa’s hip hop cardio and kickboxing classes are a favorite, as are Ruckus’ dance fitness and Ashley’s hip hop 8. I’m looking forward to trying the others as well. There are a variety of classes – hip hop cardio, kickboxing, pilates, sculpt (weights), stretch sculpt, and reggaeton fusion. The studio itself is very nice any clean. I particularly like that it’s a long, narrow room, with a wall of mirrors. There is room for about 3 long rows. That means that even if the class is completely full, you will have a clear view of the instructor. Being on the short side, I hate deep studios because I can never see the instructor from the back of the room. I strongly recommend

Lad & Dad’s Steak & Seafood Market – Menu with Prices – 4640, 3319 Demetropolis Rd, Mobile

Upon entering the store, I was pleasantly suprised at the set up of their shop (never been in a butcher shop before) and looked around for a bit. Noticed that they have a great selection of sauce and marinades, but as I decided to treat my family for the holiday weekend. I went ahead and asked for some 1 inch thick T-Bone steaks(3 to be exact). So he grabs a new slab and went to work. I, being as curious as I am, kept looking around through the frozen and refrigerated section until his wife (I guess) called for us to let us know it was done and ready for payment. I paid and headed straight to the house to soak them. Once I opened the packages, I was disappointed with the filet side of the bone.. I mean it was MAYBE 3 bites total but hell that’s even pushing it. I decided to cook the steaks anyway being that his shop is 30 mins from my house. But obviously, I won’t be coming back here. If I’m gonna spend the amount of money I did there. I’ll just go to fresh market. At least I haven’t gotten the shaft from them yet. I’ll drive the extra 15 mins to not get disappointed again. This happened about a month ago. Still have gotten steaks since. But I’m gonna try it out again for mothers day. Not lad n dad’s though.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 311 S Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena

This place need to hire a new manager. I get here at 930(online shows closes at 11pm) I see a line of 5 people waiting for orders. I stand waiting at register for at least 15 mins. Now while im waiting to just get my order taken. I see who I presume is the manager on duty (guy in blue shirt) he is walking back and forth mumbling to himself. Knocking down paper and trays. Complaining that its too busy and saying (dont these people know we close at 10) Does this guys really not want business. Or maybe he just didnt want to work or he doesn’t like his job. I got a sense that the rest of the staff seemed afraid that this manager was going to snap at any second. Now I’m still waiting and this manager calls my name. He says all I have is this(points finger at what’s left in chicken.) Ask if I want that or want what I ordered? Um of course I want what I ordered. This is now another 20 mins after I ordered. He is saying it’s going to be another 20 mins , since they have to make it. I said I’ll wait. He then tells me to go wait outside, because the lobby is closed. Why leave when other customers are still sitting and eating. By the way there are 2 other customers after me. And he wants us all to leave because the lobby is closed. No I dont thinks so. This guys is being such a tool. He is still complaining that all day they had 5 customers and now the customers wont stop coming in. Doesn’t he know that it’s a good thing to be busy and make money. Still the other staff looks unsure on what to do . Not wanting this manager to go crazy. This guys still wont shut up, this whole time complaining and in a bad mood. Still waiting Still waiting Still waiting It’s now 50 mins after is showed up and my orders done , the manager dissapeared for about 15-20mins. He Comes out when I’m leaving and looks around still complaining. The other worker is at least apologetic about wait. By the the signs still says open and there still taking drive thru orders. And the lady after me is still waiting too. This is a long review because I had time to write this since im waited 50 mins because this manager doesn’t know how to manage. Tip to owner of store. Get rid of this guy. He makes customers not want to come back. I will drive the other way next time just to avoid his attitude and wait

In-N-Out 10 Minute Oil Change – Menu with Prices – 1231 Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale

This is one of the best places to get oil changed. I dread doing this process because I hate how often the employees try to push products at you. I came in and the place made you feel right at home. Very fast and efficient and friendly. They don’t make you feel like you have to buy all of the items they are pushing. Only thing to note is they pay cash. I wasn’t aware and of course the one day didn’t bring my debit card (there’s an ATM right next door). I normally would have just gone somewhere else but I went to the bank and came back because it’s such a great place.

Global Delights Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 1038 River Rd, Eugene

Well I’m sad to say that I’ll no longer be giving my $4-12 a day to global delights. The ladies here see me at least once DAILY. This morning i happened to be on my way to work early and got to the stand at 5:45am (15 mins before open) and thought I’d wait to get my daily drink, rather than drive around for another 10 mins and burn up gas. But the typically friendly barista(arrived at 5:50), whom I see every day was a bit of an ass and told me “dude, please don’t wait. I’m not gonna be open for a while”. WHAT??? 10 mins is “a while” to you?? You can’t just go about your opening routine, keeping your doors & windows shut, and let a daily regular sit and wait for 10 mins?? No… you’d have my ass drive around for 10 mins while you get setup? Sweet! But no thank you. A large part of my repeat business is based upon having a good rapport with those I choose to give my money to. I’d understand if I was someone she’d never seen before, but her and I have gone as far as calling one another by ridiculous nicknames. This was not a good experience. Now I’m sitting outside Fred Meyer(along with about six other customers)… waiting for them to open so that I may pick up my daily lunch fixings. What are the chances they come out and tell me to leave?? ZERO. and we know why. Because that’d be some bullshit, that’s why. Let this be a word of caution to all other potential customers. Don’t you dare get to this stand 10 mins before they open and decide to wait. It’s apparently frowned upon. For you fellow early risers – I will share that the human bean and metro bru think your money is still good at 10 mins before opening and won’t run you off. Thanks for the previous years of very good drinks and service. I’ll miss them. And Anthony hopkins too! He’s a cutie. But that attitude, I cannot abide. Shit customer service.

10th Planet Oakland Jiu Jitsu – Menu with Prices – 301 8th St, Oakland

I’ve been to 5 different gyms over the span of 1.5 years looking for a gym that approaches teaching jiu jitsu with a systematic, incrementally progressive approach as opposed to the (in my opinion) less effective sporadic nature of most gyms that just teach a random move and have you go spar. 10p Oakland and head instructor Mike have by far contributed the most to my development as a grappler. On 10th Planet: The first gym I’ve been to has jiu-jitsu related, no bullshit warmups that do a great job both getting your body warmed up and teaching you positional awareness while helping you build intuition for what goals you have in the numerous positions you find yourself in in grappling. No burpees, no jumping jacks, no ab crunches, no playing soccer – my biggest pet peeve at other schools was warming up for 20-30 minutes wondering if we’d ever get to start learning things. They have an explicit curriculum regarding what you should be focusing on during what weeks, and track your attendance to see if you’re ready for belt promotion or tournament prep or whatever have you. On Professor Mike: Easily the best instructor I’ve had. First, his knowledge of the art is insane, and his competitive accolades speak for themselves. When he teaches something, he can break down every little detail and explain why you do techniques a certain why as opposed to others. Why the grip is this way, where your weight should be, what’s your main objective in this position and what your opponent’s is, how this position relates to other positions you could find yourself scrambling to, the list goes on and on and Mike has never left a doubt in my mind on why we were doing things a certain way. Aside from his expertise, what really amazed me when I came to 10p Oakland was how much Mike cares about his students. I’ve been to other gyms where instructors “care about their students” but that usually only refers to higher belt students and those who have been there a long time. Ever since the first time I walked into 10p, Mike is always persistent in making sure every student, no matter experience level, has their questions answered and drills their moves properly. Even in the large beginner classes he would go down the line at the end of class and have every person’s questions answered. I’ve only ever had one other instructor do this, and that was with a small (~10 person) advanced class. As another example, I’m moving to SF to be closer to work, and when I approached Mike to let him know I’d have to cancel my membership, there was nothing but support and great advice on which gyms I should take a look at tailored to my interests as a grappler, even offering to introduce me to the head instructors at the other gyms. Overall, I couldn’t recommend 10th planet and Professor Mike Hillebrand enough.

The Fish Cove – Menu with Prices – 158 Swansea Ave, Syracuse

We came in a little bit ago on a Friday and definitely enjoyed our fish. It seems to me that every time we come here their fried fish has always been on point. It’s also really nice that their staff is friendly. Almost every time you go into a fried fish place, its always push push push push rush rush. Here, they are much more chill which is definitely appreciated. The pricing is pretty standard with all of the fried fish places here in Syracuse. I saw a couple of people mention cold fish, but that has never happened when I came. I really always get fish or fish and fries, so I can’t really comment on anything else that they serve. They have a really tasty and fresh tasting tartar sauce though. I recommend coming here or Bayberry for your fried fish.

Ohana Hawaiian BBQ – Menu with Prices – 459 College Blvd #2, Oceanside

So I ordered thru doordash sat June 1st at 6:30, the chicken was meh! The Short ribs were so salty, and too much soy sauce in the marinade it was impossible to eat, the macaroni had too much mayo, the breaded fish had no flavor, it was just salty, the panko shrimps were bland as well cause they didn’t bother to put any sauce on my order not even for the eggrolls, thank god the musubi was good cause i was starving and i dont have much money to spend on delivery otherwise i would’ve order pizza cause i dont care to save the food for later, the first and last time i order from this place, such a waste of money, such a let down.

Fresh n More Menu with Prices 600 100th Ave NE, Bellevue

I’m being generous because this is the first review. There is a conference at the Hyatt with 1500+ attendees and the conference includes no food. We are using meeting rooms on 1st, 2nd, 3rd floors and moving between these floors all day from 8a to 615pm. This is a captive audience and the conference runs from Fri-Mon with half or more of us also meeting Thurs. that is 5 days, 2 meals per day, 1500 people. Why would you NOT refill your buffet pans?!?? Do you know how much business you lost? I asked 2 different workers (I think they are the owners) if food was coming. They told me to use the salad bar. I don’t want salad. I want the hot buffet. Literally over half the trays were completely empty. Half of the remaining ones with food were nearly empty so these 2 kept pushing the plateful If food in these trays into a tiny pile in the middle of the tray. We don’t want a tiny mound of cabbage and gravy when it is marked Mongolian beef!!! Anyway, I waited 15 min while they kept topping off the cheap stuff like lettuce. I had already scooped brown rice into my container but there was nothing to eat with it. I finally took one of the 3 spring rolls remaining and one dried out fried dumpling, one piece of chicken teriyaki. That cost me $9+ and most of the weight was rice that I couldn’t eat. Really isn’t 3 stars but it’s a small business and I want them to realize they are not doing themselves any favors by not putting food out for us to buy. Lots of people looked at the empty trays and walked across to Needs. I should have done the same.

Boat ‘n Net – Menu with Prices – 4808 Kostoryz Rd, Corpus Christi

This is one of the few remaining Boat ‘N Net locations left in Corpus Christi, but they struggle like the others with 20 minute wait times. That’s my biggest issue with them. I’ve enjoyed their chicken for over 20 years, and the fries are always good. I frequent this location because of the drive thru, but the instances where food isn’t ready is far too frequent to even bother wasting time in the drive thru to be told that it’s a 20 minute wait. Wouldn’t recommend this place for that alone.
