I have been to most of the Boise Juice locations in the greater Boise area and this one is my favorite. They are all great and the people are nice, but I felt like this location has more knowledge. I went to order a smoothie (can’t remember the name) and the lady behind the counter started giving me a lot of information on it, asked what I really wanted out of a smoothie, and then made a different recommendation. And I enjoyed the help! Because it can be kind of confusing when there are so many options. My husband found this to be annoying, as if she was trying to “up-sell” (she wasn’t), but I very much appreciated it. Delicious smoothies as well! Can’t wait to try the açaí bowls. They look gooooood!

Nature’s Way Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 2604 S Louise Ave, Sioux Falls

I was craving something new and fun before catching a movie on Friday night so, my friend and I decided we would go for smoothies bowls. From the looks of the outside you don’t expect Nature’s Way to be anything special, but BOY was I wrong! We both got the mixed berry açaí bowl in a pineapple (bc we were feeling extra, you don’t have to do this but I would recommend it) and it was delicious! The menu was easy to follow and they had other options than just açaí bowls like juices and smoothies. The staff was really nice and helpful given that it was our first time getting açaí bowls. Overall a great experience, worth the splurge and I will defiantly go back when I’m in Sioux Falls!

Emerald City Smoothie Menu with Prices 221 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue

We came here to get a smoothie, as Emerald City Smoothie recently relocated to Park Row in downtown Bellevue. Glad to have it in the area, as it provides healthier smoothies than any other smoothie spot around. We ordered a 32oz. Mango Berry smoothie to share, which is a good size for doing so. There’s also a 24oz. size option. In addition to smoothies, which you can customize to your liking, they offer acai bowls and other health products like supplements, protein powder, pre-workout mixes, etc… There was only one employee working on a Thursday late afternoon when we visited, so service was slow since there were a few customers waiting to get their smoothie. The shop here though is much better than its former downtown Bellevue location, offering more space, which allows for customers to hang out on the couch or at other seating options. I’m a fan of Emerald City Smoothie, so am glad they’ve reopened in downtown Bellevue. There are lots of healthy options here for smoothies, with some including whey protein or boosters. I like that you can customize any of the smoothies, to whatever fruit flavor, boosters, milk options, etc…you desire.

South Block Menu with Prices 106 N Lee St, Alexandria

I am new to the area and parking is a pain. But I believe there was also an event going on so maybe that’s why. I parked in a paid parking lot and walked over to South Block. Its pretty big inside with lots of tables. Great for large parties if they wanted to visit. They have a nice full menu going on with acai bowls, smoothies, coffee, toast, and toasted baguette. You guys don’t know this but I have an extreme sweet tooth and I LOVE SMOOTHIES/ACAI BOWLS. If there was good ones around where I live, I’d be in big trouble. If South Block came near me, I’d be in big trouble. You stand in line and order at the register. Then you walk to the side and wait for them to call your name/order out. I ordered their Strawberry Passion smoothie and a PBJ Acai Bowl. Both came out pretty fast. I had to get the PBJ Bowl .. cause I love peanut butter … and this met my expectations! The last time I had a good PBJ Acai Bowl is in ATL … this bowl had organic acai, banana, blueberry, almond milk, topped with granola, blueberries, bananas and I added strawberries. It’s a decent sized bowl for ONE person, I’d recommend sharing! All the fruit taste fresh and good ~ it wasn’t too sweet. The Strawberry Passion was also not TOO sweet and it didn’t feel like I was gulping up sugar (like other places ..) – this smoothie was super refreshing (especially on a hot day). Passion Fruit Smoothie: Passion fruit juice, strawberries, bananas, non-fat raspberry sorbet. Both so very good! I am impressed with South Block! My new favorite smoothie/Acai place! I definitely want to try their other flavors!

Playa Bowls Fort Lauderdale – Menu with Prices – 1615 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale

Really tasty Açaí bowls!! I loved stopping by after a beach trip to see the sunrise. The bowls are really huge and you definitely get your money’s worth. I think they’re the perfect size for sharing with someone. They have a ton of options on their menu, which I appreciated. I opted to get a Tide Bowl, which is originally a Banana Bowl but they allowed me to get Açaí as a base instead. Delicious and super refreshing!! The Goji Berries were a little bit overpowering after a while but I’ll just ask them for less next time I come. They have a really cool option to split your base and choose from two if you can’t decide. Perfect for indecisive people like me! You can choose half and half of any of the following bases: Açaí, Pitaya, Green, or Coconut. Additionally, for some bowls, you can switch out your base if you prefer a different one. Overall, a really cool ambiance and delicious, fresh bowls. I look forward to trying their smoothies next time I stop by!

Birdie Bowl & Juicery – Menu with Prices – 3313 Hyland Ave, Costa Mesa

Came here during my lunch with my coworkers and enjoyed every minute of it! Very refreshing and filling as well! Its a nice break from all the grease and fried food i was eating and i felt so healthy after eating it even though im def not LOL please give this place a try sometime if you love acai bowls! Pros: – Staff is very friendly here! She was really patient with me when I was ordering my food! her friend was the customer before me and they were talking for a while but i didnt mind and she kept apologizing to me for that so it was awesome of her for being aware of that but tbh, i didnt mind! – Theyre menu has everything for everyone! you can definitely find something here for you that youd like and you can also do add ons as well! I ordered the Pitaya colada but i subbed the pitaya for acai! i LOVE toasted coconuts in my acai bowls and cranola as well so this bowl was screaming my name! – When you pick up your order, they have extra toppings at the station too! They have agave, brown sugar and honey! I LOOOVE honey on my bowls so i kept coming back after eating each layer of my bowl. a lot of places don’t offer this but i appreciated that birdie has this for their customers! Mehs: – i wish my bowl was a little bit sweeter! maybe its because im the most unhealthiest person in the world but i got tired of my bowl after a while because it wasnt sweet enough! Cons: None

New York Smoothie and Grill – Menu with Prices – 267 Sawdust Rd, Spring

I’m all about smoothies so when I see a place that their specialty are smoothies I am pumped. What a huge disappointment this place came to be. My smoothie tasted like tap water with a squirt of strawberry, I thought I was exaggerating but my boyfriend said he definitely tasted the tap water. I tasted my boyfriends smoothie to see if his was any better and it was but it wasn’t good either. They have food options too that I was super excited to test out but apparently they are only open in the mornings and it’s like a separate shop. Confusing and inconvenient. Will not be stopping by here again.

Planet Smoothie – Menu with Prices – 2270 Town Center Ave, Melbourne

I recently went to Planet Smoothie for a smoothie. Let me preface this review by saying that I am a smoothie aficionado. My primary breakfast every morning is a smoothie & customize my smoothies daily using a different variety of fruit along w/ additions such as turmeric, ginger root, etc. First & foremost the service at Planet Smoothie was solid. I opted for the Acai Original made w/ açaí, apple, strawberries, & bananas. I got the small 22 ounce size. I got the following add-ins for smoothie: Whole Grain Oats, Peanut Butter, & Leafy Greens I felt the add-ins would give the smoothie more sustenance along w/ some nutrients from the greens. The smoothie was A-OK yet three stars are given instead of four for several reasons. I felt the smoothie was costly for what you get. The add-ins were $1 each & the quantity of the add-ins isn’t even that great. Oats are one of the most affordable foods on the market & a small scoop of oats shouldn’t cost $1. I felt .50 cents per add-in would be more reasonable. The biggest annoyance of my smoothie was they are made w/ ice. I requested no ice & the person making my smoothie said that wasn’t possible. She made it w/ less ice even so felt the ice added a lot of filler. For the cost of the smoothie which was in fact costly felt they should be more substantial using more fruit, less ice, & less costly add-ins. If these improvements were made can see bumping my review up to four stars yet not sure if these suggestions would be implemented. On a plus side appreciate being able to customize your smoothie & it is helpful to list the calories for the smoothies along w/ the calories for each additional potential add-in for which there is a lot. Smoothies are in fact a great way to eat more fruit & can be healthy. I think Planet Smoothie would still be a better option than say Cold Stone Creamery next door. Eat more fruit!

Playa Bowls – Menu with Prices – At, 945 International Dr, Wilmington

Playa Bowls is located next to Chipotle in Mayfaire. Tried this franchise on its grand opening day. There was a long line of people already waiting before they opened. They were nice enough to give some free cold brew coffee of Lucky Joe’s Jammin’ Jamaican while we were waiting out in the hot weather. The decor and decorations were fun to look at, an island and surfer style. It’s a small place, so there is not much seating when it is busy. You place your order at the cashier and wait for them to call your name when it’s done. They offer a variety of bowls including acai, green, chia pudding, oatmeal, coconut, and banana bowls. Other menu options are fresh juices, smoothies, cold brew coffee, bagged blueberry flax granola, other bottled drinks, and packaged vegan and gluten-free Jonesbars. They have specialized menu items but you can add extra ingredients to the bowls and smoothies for an extra cost. Some of the extra ingredients are whey protein or vegan protein to add a protein boost. My order for the Electric Mermaid Pitaya bowl ($11) was done pretty quickly. It came with fresh chopped mango, kiwi, pineapple, as well as granola, and dried coconut flakes/pieces. The sweetness was perfect, it wasn’t overly sweet. They layered the fruit on top, then the granola, and then the pitaya smoothie blend. Even though the granola was smothered in the smoothie blend, it was still crunchy. The price of the bowls and smoothies are a bit expensive. They do offer a 15% discount off your next visit if you sign up with your phone number on their deal alert. They also offered a card for 10% off the next visit. The bowl was filling for a meal. This is a good place if you’re craving a cold, somewhat healthy smoothie or bowl and are willing to spend the money.

Tlaloc Deli – Menu with Prices – 970 Broadway, Chula Vista

Finally got a chance to drop by here again yesterday, and it’s still one pretty awesome spot. The staff here are super friendly, and the selections have expanded to include items such as acai bowls (which I hope to try soon). I was craving a refreshing drink on this warm day, so I opted for a choose your own fruits (in season) smoothie. Never tried it before, but a pear & banana smoothie ended up being really delicious. Freshly made, the banana provided the thickness for the smoothie, while the pear made the aftertaste light and crisp. Got a small which made it about $4, and I also got to try their cranberry oatmeal cookie which was tasty and very hearty (almost enough to take in lieu of a breakfast). Once again, another memorable visit, and I hope to drop by soon to try their new acai bowls.

Chey’s Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 132 S 17th St, Philadelphia

I was walking up 17th Street on my way to Sip N Glo for a smoothie when I saw a sign promoting the smoothies at Cheys Kitchen. I’d never heard of the place and there weren’t many reviews, but I’m glad that I decided to give Cheys Kitchen a try. First and foremost, the customer service is outstanding. The owner, Curt, might just be the most personable human being on the planet. When I first walked in I was warmly greeted and told that any customization was possible. I asked about the liquid that was added to the smoothie (Super Kale), and was told it was 5 parts water to 1 part sugar. I noticeably balked at the added sugar, and without even having to ask, he made a smoothie with just ice. Now, the smoothies are NOT cheap—$7.99 minimum. That said, the only sizes available are large and larger (24 and 32 oz), so when you see the size of the smoothie the price makes sense. The smoothie I had tasted fresh and had just the right amount sweetness from the bananas—not added sugar needed. In addition to great smoothies, Cheys also has an excellent veggie burger. I’m no vegeterian, but I’ve had the veggie burger here several times (ask for the beyond patty) and it is honestly one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. Every time I order I ask for it to be topped with hummus, mango, and caramelized onions. I have no idea why it works, but it does, and in a BIG way. They have an extensive menu of smoothies, breakfast, sandwiches, and acai bowls, so there’s still much more for me to try. But with the combination of good food, satisfying smoothies, and phenomenal service, I will definitely be visiting Cheys Kitchen again in the future.

MAD Nutrition & Smoothies – Menu with Prices – 4834 14th St W, Bradenton

This place is by far the best for nutritional and 26g protien smoothies without fillers. The owners are very nice and accommodating! They have no problem showing you what exactly goes into each smoothie. You can change any ingredient in your smoothie to something else. I like to get a nutty monkey and make it skinny which takes out the granola and puts in Quaker whole oats and has unsweetened almond milk. Or I’ll get the tropical treasure smoothie but take out the apple juice and replace it with unsweetened almond milk. They will make you a smoothie and give you the extras in another cup every time! This is another perk for them! Love that! They also sell supplements. Thank you for making the best smoothies around! Never drinking smoothie king again.

Palm Açai Café Menu with Prices 2979 College Ave, Berkeley

Not gonna lie… I’ve been lightweight dreaming about this place ever since I dove into their Hunter Bowl about a month ago. So, why haven’t I returned since then? Because I’m kind of a lazy ass. HOWEVER… when I DO return, I plan on murdering another one of those acai bowls. Not sure if I’ll be able to completely deviate from the Hunter Bowl just yet because I kinda sorta fell in love with it, but I do plan on diving head first into another one of these delicious acai bowls. Head FIRST ladies and gents! Ya know… I’m not really one for healthy foods. It’s not that I don’t like them because I do. It’s honestly because I’m a carboholic, sugar fiend, fried food addict, and a lover of most things that are really bad for you (probably like most people?!). Had I known that a place like Palm Acai existed a while back, I definitely would have been frequenting this place more and replacing one of my “bad” meals with an acai bowl from Palm Acai. Yep… baby steps. Deliciously healthy baby steps. I’ve had a few acai bowls in the past, but none of them have been as fresh and as tasty as the one that I’ve had here. That Hunter Bowl is addictive. If you like peanut butter and chocolate alongside fresh fruit and granola… well then, be my guest! This bowl was so hearty and filling too! The prices may strike you as high when you first see them, but my “small bowl” fed me… twice. Granted that my appetite is small in the mornings, but their bowls are still nicely sized. The presentation was perf! They also make smoothies and I am dying to try one of those soon. If their bowls are any indication of how delicious their smoothies will be, then your girl is about to be HOOKED! I love the chill atmosphere of this spot too. It’s pretty quiet and reserved. Small inside but they do have a few counter seats. It’s located in the Elmwood district, so there are lots of places to sit outside and enjoy your bowl in and around the neighborhood. Glad that I discovered this little gem and I’ll be happy to work them into my local rotation soon once I get off my lazy you know what to make my return. And that return will be soon, very soon.
