The Daily Grind is a bonus to the downtown Evansville. I always order an Americano and The Daily has out done Starbucks which an added touch by giving it a long shot….delicious! And by the way, you gotta have the chefâ??s homemade biscuit sausage sandwich. Who would have ever thought of having a gourmet breakfast sandwich and the American complements as a pair. At lunch, which they close at 2p, I highly recommend the perfectly brewed ice tea, which is not to sweet or bitter, paired with the most delicious chicken salad croissant I ever had.

Old Town Deli – Menu with Prices – 512 N 3rd St, Harrisburg

I’ve been coming here for months for a quick sandwich, soup, or salad for lunch while working downtown. Small selection of choices but of the highest quality and deliciousness. Speaking of small, very limited seating, so get there early or take your order to go. My favorites are the chicken noodle soup, French onion soup and the Cajun chicken sandwich (with quality Boar’s Head meats). I like how their soup, salad and sandwich specials rotate daily, maintaining variety on an otherwise limited menu. Special requests are accommodated by a friendly staff and a very attentive owner. I highly recommend this place for lunch any day during the work week.

Just 1 More Tavern – Menu with Prices – 3074 NE 33rd Ave, Fort Lauderdale

My last visit was nearly two years ago and I have to admit, I forgot how good this place is. We visited for the beer, but the food will keep us coming back. Bar Red Beard has a fantastic craft beer menu. They have a ton of local and distant bottled and canned craft beer. They also have an impressive rotating draft selection. The large chalkboard has been updated to a huge projector screen listing all the beers they have available. This visit I went with the Crooked Stave Trellis Buster and the Champions Brewing Missile IPA. Trellis Buster is a fantastic double IPA. Super juicy with a mild bitterness and a strong citrus flavor. It has a perfect hop/malt balance. Delicious tangerine/grapefruit aroma. Highly recommend. Missile IPA was slightly bitter with a medium body. A solid American IPA. Food: Tater Tots, Burger, and Sweet and Sour Chicken Salad Sandwich. The food is incredible. Vastly underrated. The tots were awesome. They tasted like delicious hash browns rolled up into round bite sized pieces. The sauce it came with was out of this world. We dipped everything in it. The Sweet and Sour Chicken Salad Sandwich is light, but extremely flavorful. The side winder fries are to die for. They are a combination of potato wedge/fry. The burger was solid as well. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Service is outstanding. They have some awesome weekday specials and happy hour deals. On Friday, during happy hour everything was $2 off, food and beer. Absolute hidden gem. We were the only patrons on a Friday during lunch time which confounds me. Bar Red Beard is one of the best places to grab a beer and lunch on Friday… or any day. Highly recommend.

Urban Cafe III – Menu with Prices – 701 N Brand Blvd #170, Glendale

Man, I ain’t EVER gonna be able to get a chicken salad sandwich. It’s my bad, though. I keep coming at 2 pm after the lunch rush has savaged the place and all that’s left is scraps. They didn’t even have croissants left when I got there. Damn, that was disappointing. Can you imagine how good that sandwich would’ve been? Chicken salad and avocado on croissant. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Instead I had to slum it with an egg salad sandwich with avocado on sourdough bread. It was tasty, but it weren’t no chicken salad on croissant. Next time I’m going to just sleep in front of the place like it was Black Friday or something. You know, like how people show up three months in advance to wait in line in front of Best Buy so they can save like $300 on a big screen TV. You shouldn’t make fun of those people. $300 is a shit ton of money. And, they’re probably richer then you are because they can afford to sit around Best Buy for three months instead of doing to work. That’s the life.

Chameleon Cafe Akron Menu with Prices 23 S Main St, Akron

Excellent. Granted, I’ve only tried two menu items on the menu but my lunch was absolutely delicious so I could not wait until a second visit to review this cafe. FOOD (LUNCH) – My friend Jeanie, treated me to lunch on 15 January 2019 and I ordered the Cilantro Lime Chicken Panini. I got the half size and next time, I will for sure splurge and order a full size because it was so tasty. I didn’t realize how small the half size would be until I received it. The cilantro and house made lime butter were key staples to the panini because they brought out the flavour. The half size cilantro like chicken panini sandwich was $5.69 and the full is $8.89. These prices are definitely on the higher end of the price spectrum. Although the cost may seem high, the sandwich and other items on the menu are made fresh in their kitchen. I could definitely taste the freshness as I bit into the delicious panini. YUM. BREAKFAST – (edit). I came back a few days later, after having lunch here, to order breakfast. The second time I came here was on 18 January 2019. I ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich with egg and sausage. It was delicious but over $6 so the price is high. MENU – They have a full lunch menu and they are also open for breakfast. They also serve baked goods such as cookies. They have drinks as well such as coffee and hot chocolate. They can cater for you too so if you are having a party or office lunch, just call them ahead of time. SERVICE – Awesome. Once my friend and I ordered lunch, our food was brought out in a cafeteria style tray. My friend and I arrived at 12:30pm on a Tuesday and it was not too busy. The crowd later picked up but it seemed that most people took their lunch orders to go as there were plenty of chairs and tables to sit on. I love this small business and I’ll definitely be back at least one more time before my temporary work stay in Akron ends. Prices are high but everything is lade fresh, in-house. I recommend that you stop on in. They are open daily (M-F) from 8am – 3pm. – 13 total reviews in 2019. – 223 total Yelp reviews. – Reviewed on 16 January 2019.

Aboshosha restaurant – Menu with Prices – 611 E Grand Blvd, Corona

Shawarma is just ok. Their daily special could be confusing. It listed, “Shawarma and fries”.. so I assumed it was a plate, but got a wrap with salad. My fault I guess. I did like the actual wrap though. It was thin, charred and crispy. Less carbs than your usual pita bread. The falafel is in the salty side, but would pair perfectly in a wrap. They have kabobs as well but it didn’t look so seasoned. If I do go back I’ll order the falafel wrap. Service is alright. Dont expect a smiling server. If you’re a typical american, you might get but hurt.

Juarez Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1068 N Waco Ave, Wichita

This place is right down the way from Molino’s, so we stopped in to check them out… right after feeding our faces at Molino’s down the street. I don’t know a lot about the Mexican pastries, they were all very different from what you find locally at a doughnut shop or bakery. My grandson got a slice of the chocolate cake, and we bought two other pastries, one that was similar to a croissant, but filled with a sweet filling, that had a hint of fruit flavor… divine! We also got another pastry, that was a sandwich type of pastry, filled with chocolate creme filling. They also have tamales for sale. We got there rather late, close to closing, but will go back. You get a tray and a pair of tongs to pick out the pastries you want. Then pay at the counter, so each is priced differently, depending probably on the time involved to prepare. Highly recommend.

The Mug Shot Coffee and Eatery – Menu with Prices – 205 S Sierra St #104, Reno

A little conflicted about this place. I like the location and the decor/ambiance inside. Seems like a place you could hang out in for a while and do work or chat casually with friends. Not super crowded both times I’ve been there, which is nice. Per the name, there are lots of mugshots of celebrities on the wall, which is fun. The have a mix of breakfast and lunch items, but the emphasis seems to be on breakfast. They have a super fun waffle/oatmeal/yogurt toppings bar with a lot of options. They also have a lot of options for coffee and tea. The one thing I don’t like is there isn’t a great option to just get a simple breakfast sandwich, like egg and cheese on bread. Their breakfast sandwich comes with meat and avocado on the choice of a bagel/croissant, which is lovely if that’s what you’re looking for but I’m a simple girl (and vegetarian) and don’t need all that stuff on my sandwich. Unfortunately they charge you the same price either way, so it ends up being $9 just for an egg and cheese on bread, which is kind of crazy. I can literally walk a block away and get an egg/cheese on an English muffin for $3. Also there is a discrepancy between the menu and what’s in their POS system because the menu board says $8 for a fully loaded sandwich and the system rings it up at $9, which I pointed out to the cashier. I think I’d come back again if I’m looking for a big fancy breakfast, but this unfortunately won’t be my go to daily breakfast spot, which is a bummer because I literally work a block away.

Verre Wine Bar Menu with Prices 2415 Wilson Blvd, Arlington

Decided to try Verre today for lunch and I’m so happy I did! It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it – and I didn’t even sample the wines, so I’m looking forward to going back. The interior is really nice with a ton of natural light, and their menu is great. They have what I think is an amazing lunch special – a full sandwich, a full side, and a coffee or tea for $9.95. Can you get that anywhere else in Clarendon? I don’t think so. I got the chicken and brie sandwich, and our server was very accommodating when I asked for it to be served without bread. I got the Greek salad as my side, and Swings coffee. The sandwich was delicious and was plated very nicely (forgot to take a picture) and the dijonnaise and fig jam on the side were a really nice complement. The Greek salad was nice – great greens, tasty tomatoes, peppers, onions, and great herbed feta with a tasty Greek dressing. My friend got a really hearty-looking sandwich and the Greek salad side. We both felt like this was a great value for a nice lunch! They had lots of other good options, too, so I highly recommend!

Ross Donuts – Menu with Prices – 64 Bell Rd, Montgomery

I did my research on donut shops in the area and found Ross had the best reviews. I made the trip and am so happy I did. I specifically went to try the amazing donuts. While I was chatting with the owner a timer went off on an oven. I asked what was in the oven, home made croissants!!!! In that case I needed a breakfast sandwich also. Ordered a ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant. Hands down the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in some time, if not ever. The croissant was flakey and light, yum! The donuts were also amazing. Light, sweet, and just overall delicious. They were greasy or heavy. My intent was to eat the sandwich for breakfast and take the donuts on the plane to take home with me. Needless to say, that didn’t happen. All were fine before I arrived at the airport. The strawberry creme donut is crazy delicious. Oh and the owner is so nice, very kind man and obviously a talented bakery. This is a must try, you’ll thank me.

Butterfly Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2725, 212 Laporte Ave, Fort Collins

The Butterfly cafe is a small place near Civi Center park. I tried it for the first time today and all I have to say is “Wow!”. I had the croissant sandwich for breakfast and it was the highest quality from top to bottom, and delicious. The croissant was the best I have ever had in the United States. Buttery, flaky and soft, and the equal of anything I have had in Paris. Unlike other places, they do not skimp on ingredients. The avocado for example…it was actually ripe and instead of hard slices it was freshly smashed so it did not fall off of the sandwich. I am definitely coming here again.

Paesanos Cafe – Menu with Prices – 5800 Granite Pkwy, Plano

Yup, it is a little cafe inside the granite parkway office building. I do not work there, I work at a University, but my fiance does ? ANyway, lunch date #340 (not exact), but may be close. I ended up going to honda to get her car worked on, and after have lunch with her. We decided to eat in the cafe there, because she said it was good. hahaha, Holy crap, she was right for the 6th time ever in our 4+ year relationship ? hehe, she won’t read this, and do not tell her. hehe, but I do love her. Anyway, they have breakfast food, they have pizza, fried food, and daily specials. Woo hoo. I went basic, chicken tenders and fries. Not a typical choice, but it was a pretty good choice. The tenders were crispy, but nice and moist on the inside. Great seasoning, just like the fries. She had the same, but she has tried many other things on the menu. All with raving reviews. I highly recommend this place for those who work in close proximity to it, or even a nice little lunch date there too. It has a beautiful walking trail across the pathway.
