Horrible take out service! My go to in town garlic seafood spot was closed. Based on previous bad experience with West Coast, I decided to conduct an experiment. On April 7th I called a bit after noon asking about garlic crabs and shrimp. The same unprofessional female answered the phone and said it’ll be thirty minutes. I wait forty-five minutes, drive the ten miles over, go to the window and interrupt her eating and chatting with a friend and make my request. She says give her thirty minutes. I drive off and decide to do some shopping. After an hour, I call back, she says give her thirty minutes. Okay, I continue shopping it’s after 3 o’clock now and I’m ready to get my seafood and go home. I drive over, make my request and she (I couldn’t make this up) said, you guessed it, give her thirty minutes. This time she adds she’s waiting for her pot to boil so she can cook the shrimp. I say okay, well I’ll just get crabs, she has the nerve to say she hasn’t opened them up yet. WHAT!! You mean, you didn’t recognize me the other time I came three hours ago making the same request? She continued chattering with a friend at the counter, STILL NOT COOKING!! She doesn’t seam like the type you could disagree with, without getting cursed out or spit on. I attempted to call the store to speak with a manager, but she answered, I hung up. So today, April, 17th I called, she gave me her usual untrue timeframe. I drove up, she was at the window again chatting when another patron walked up to the counter. They exchanged words and she proceeded back to her car, I asked if they had crabs today, the young lady said, “she will in thirty minutes.” I couldn’t do anything but laugh. After that I didn’t even bother interrupting her and her pal. I simply went inside the store and got my secret indulgence, chicken backs for the frying. All is well. I was born and raised in this area of town and when ownership of this establishment changed and they added the take out window, I thought it ingenious. Apparently, you have to carry yourself a certain way to get service. The only time a decent human being can actually get seafood is in the evening when there’s a crowd and everyone has to wait in the parking lot while she actually does some work. Then it seems because she has to work, now she’s got a worse attitude than her daytime demeanor. At this point your options become whether or not she’s “sold out.” This is a perfect example of if given the opportunity, some people would rather not support their local business.

King’s Seafood Market & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 714 E Little Creek Rd, Norfolk

This is my go to spot when I want steamed crabs. I’ve also had the fried shrimp here which are very very good. I love their prices and they are very affordable. Quality of crabs out when every crab spot in the area. I am specifically talking about blue crabs. You can get a dozen of females easy for under $15. I do love their jimmys and enjoy them very much but they rarely have them. This is not a eat and seafood place. Here’s a tip call ahead for going to get your crabs. They can get full pretty fast with my walk in customers. I prefer Wickers for eat in crabs, but Kings Seafood is by far the best for takeout. Crabs are always very clean. Another tip, when you ask for heavy seasoning, they really don’t put it on like you want. I just buy the container of seasoning from them for about $3.

LTK Seafood Menu with Prices 2401 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge

Horrible, This place used to be the best place to buy boiled seafood and boiled meat, but over the years their quality of seafood and service has declined drastically. For instance they open at a certain time but you still have to wait 30 minutes if not more for the food, or they don’t open when they’re supposed to. Their seafood is not seasoned the same, there’s this sweetness taste, and it just does not taste right for seafood and boiled meat to have a sweet taste, I got it today and it actually made my stomach churn (had to take an alka seltzer, OMG). The crabs were not full at all and actually some of the worst looking crabs I have EVER seen since I’ve been eating crabs. I’m just not feeling this place any longer, I have been giving them the benefit but undoubtfully they have proven that they are really not worthy for me to patronize any longer. Also they have a sign posted, its says “Once you walk out doors with food, you cannot return the food”. My thing is, if you know your food is subpar why even serve it, in my opinion greed is greed. I live in Texas and come back to Baton Rouge for this, naw, I don’t think so.

Trump Winery Tasting Room – Menu with Prices – 3550 Blenheim Rd, Charlottesville

I was at the winery today to have bridal pictures taken as we are a month away from wedding date. As I approached front door of tasting room I was told that this was not allowed. I had called mid-August to check on this. I was told that it would be fine, no charge, and what areas photos could be taken. Well after scheduling the photographer and taking the time off , this was a moment that needed to happen since our timing is a month away and a treasured moment for my daughter. After hesitation the GM says I’ll give you thirty minutes…really who can do all of that in thirty minutes and since you didnt allow this . After a big let down and my daughter being crushed, she calls Blenheim just up the road and they welcomed us whole heartedly. Great public relations and much more than I can say for Trump winery.

Hip Hop Fish & Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1350 Mahan Dr unit f, Tallahassee

I phoned up there today to pick up an order of chicken. They gave me a pick up number and told me it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived at the drive thru 15 minutes after placing my order. When I drove up to the window, an employee was on the phone. A couple minutes later a second employee went behind the counter from the front. In another 2 minutes a 3rd employee was behind the counter. They were filling napkins, refilling the iced tea and lemonade dispensers, helping the 3 customers I saw inside. I sat at the drive thru window for 10 minutes without ANYONE coming over to open the window. I phoned them. I asked if my order was ready. She went over to the counter where my chicken has been sitting this whole time and said, “Yes, it was ready.” I told her that I was here and sitting at the window. We hung up. I waited 2 more minutes. So I sat at Hip Hop drive thru for 12 minutes with my order waiting on the counter, and no one came over to give me my order and take my money. All this after having phoned them 15 minutes before I got there. It was absolutely not busy. 3 customers. 2 cars in the parking lot. This was a bizarre, rude experience. TERRIBLE customer service. I work with the public and I will tell everyone I know, to steer clear of that place. What a awful way to treat your customers. It really is a shame because I like supporting local businesses. ?

J&G seafood market Menu with Prices 8580 Greenwell Springs Rd, Baton Rouge

These are the most customer friendly business owners I have ever known. I always support even if it’s just buying boiled shrimp but my Favorite of course is boiled Crawfish!!! They are the best this side of B.R well it doesn’t matter where I am in B.R I’m driving to G&J because I can count on them for consistency in flavor. These snow crabs are Huge and nope they are not King Crabs they are just nice sized and meat filled snow crabs. All the seafood has good flavor, if it’s not closing time and they are running low on something and there is enough time they ask if you are ok with waiting and they will prepare more for you. If you want to boil the seafood yourself this is your place for Live seafood and all the supplies needed to get a good boil going even the onions, corn and potatoes can be purchased. If you are looking for the La seafood products for your Gumbo this is your spot!! I always visit when I’m in Baton Rouge and as long as they are in business I will support because their food is the best and they are the nicest ever!!

Jae Seafood by Tommy – Menu with Prices – 403 Philadelphia Pike #1, Wilmington

Went there 2 weeks ago, got 1/2 doz large to try and they were great! Each crab was full, great flavor. Got an bonus crab and was so happy couldn’t wait to return. Even told friends about it. Tonight went for a full dozen, 2 lbs snow crab, a lb of large shrimp, and the seafood salad to try. I was suspicious taking crabs out of the bag, they were light, a few very light and there were 14. I would’ve appreciated the bonus crabs if the rest were ok. Only 2 were ok, none were full as the last time. And they seemed to be reheated. Not cooked fresh. I actually gave up on them after 8 but opened the rest so I could be accurate in this review. 5 of the total were so empty I thought about saving them to bring them back. $40 isn’t a bad price for large but not worth the work to pick at this quality. I know its a tough business. But after spending $92 tonight for something I was so looking forward to, I have to express my extreme disappointment. The shrimp and snow crabs were good but I won’t be back. You can’t make up for old reheated dead crabs by giving me 2 more of the same.

Carlos Fish Market – Menu with Prices – 3852 Richmond Ave, Staten Island

The fish market smells clean and looks clean which it’s a plus. I called the fish market two hours before arrival, to place a order for 2 dozen of blue crabs cleaned. Then about 15 mins later, I called again and changed my order to 3 dozens of blue crabs cleaned. I showed up, the person I saw he said did you say you want 3 crabs or 3 dozens? I said 3 dozens. He said ok I only have 3 crabs and he went in the back to get 3 dozens. I was thankful he had more in the back. He gave me few extra crabs due to some crabs were missing claws. Which it was very nice of him. After I paid, he hands me back $6 and I didn’t see it then. As I went to do more shopping and I counted the money. I noticed the $6 he hands me. The dollar bill is ripped and missing pieces. I never went back to ask for new dollar but next time if I go back, I will make sure there’s no ripped money. Which I do not understand why would he made that move. The blue crabs were so fresh when we cooked it in the oven, loved it!

Twistee Treat Ocala – Menu with Prices – 2394 SW College Rd, Ocala

First time here. Will not be back. Drive thru woman was rude to me when I asked her to give me a sec to decide. She stated “Oh well thats fine but you didn’t answer me when I greeted you.” Which is untrue because I did respond. I ordered a large Oreo shake. Then at the window she took my debit card, returned it to me, handed me a very runny watery shake, and closed the window. I had to sit there and wait for her to reopen the window after 2 minutes so I could ask for a receipt. She then rolled her eyes and proceeded to take another 2 minutes to print one for me. By that time I didn’t even have the energy to ask if the shake was supposed to be that runny or if whipped cream is by request only. I just drove off. She was short, middle aged with salt & pepper hair. Name on the receipt says Barbara.

Harbour House Crabs – Menu with Prices – 1170 Eisenhower Blvd, Harrisburg

I discovered this place this weekend after craving crabs all day long. Original plan was to drive down to Baltimore tomorrow to satisfy this crab craving, then I started searching for steamed crabs online and found Harbour House crabs. I am surprised there aren’t more reviews of this place. The shop is small and not fancy but it’s no nonsense and that’s what I like about it. There’s a small bench to sit on while you wait and a restroom for the convenience of patrons. They were out of the Jumbo crabs when we got there on a Saturday evening two hours before they closed for the day, but offered us the large instead. We purchased a dozen large crabs- take out with traditional seasoning. The service was quick, we had a 10 minute wait. The crabs were meaty and everything I wished for. Craving is now in check and has been satisfied. I couldn’t wait to recommend this place to everyone, thus the review. I am kicking myself for having only found this place now, especially since I’ve been living around here a while. I highly recommend this to any crab lover. It’s the best you can get in the Harrisburg area and it’s really good.

Bradley’s Crab House – Menu with Prices – 300 W Henry St, Savannah

First time i ate there food was hot, fresh, and delicious some of the best seafood i ever had wanted a different taste from the normal seafood houses and Bradley’s gave just that not only was the food well seasoned and tasty but the prices are unbelievably cheap a whole lot cheaper that the other seafood places but today was a little disappointing when i arrived the doors were wide open as usual so i entered but no one was at the counter to take my order like they were the previous time i was there i noticed they had a bell on the counter so i began to ring it but still no one came to take my order i stood forba while thinking maybe their using the restroom or something so I’ll wait a little longer but still no one came as i turned around to leave because i decided to ring the bell a few more times to give whomever was there the benefit of the doubt a gentleman finally came out the side door to assist me i gave him my order and waited the wait wasn’t long so i disregarded the fact that i had stood so long to have my order taken once we got home with our seafood and opened our boxes i noticed that the crabs were dark in certain spots and seemed a little mushie i checked the other box before i let anyone eat anything just to be on tbe safe side and all of them were the same i decided to crack open the eggs to see if they were fresh cause they looked and felt a little funny as well and they were rotten i was do disgusted i threw both plates in the trash immediately sad to say but i won’t to say but i wont be going back.

Blue Runner Seafood – Menu with Prices – 11338 Biscayne Blvd, Miami

A++++ 6 STARS!! This is a hidden GEM!! It is hands down the freshest tastiest seafood I have ever had, and I’ve had A LOT of seafood in my life! My girlfriend and I were on Vacation and wanted to get some stone crab without breaking the bank. She found this place on YELP and we decided to give it a shot. It’s a truck parked on the side of the road, easy to find, and there’s a super friendly guy working out of the back of it. We got the shrimp and fish Ceviche, JUMBO stone crabs which are HUGE, and some other Sashimis. The gentleman working there asked if it was my first time being there, and after I told him yes, he said “you’ll be back” and he was right! We came back the very next day to get more stone crabs. Just GO HERE! You will be very very happy you did!!! Can’t say enough great things about this place!!
