Hmm, I’ve definitely *had* good food here in the past, but my last two visits were in the “meh” to “bleh” range … Specifics: I ordered the veggie street tacos last night and they were super bland, flat, and totally mushy. Maybe other elements of the menu might be better, but I don’t know. There wasn’t enough salsa to even make them interesting. The staff are all nice, but the person I had was pretty disconnected; last time I was in I made a joke as I ordered about how to pronounce the name of the meal–I asked the person if I said it correctly and they said “I don’t know, I’m not Mexican” … Sooo, I kinda felt like saying that they should know how to pronounce it *because they work there* but I just let it go. :-/ And not sure what happens with drinks there, but both times it took so long to get my beer that I’d already finished the food by the time it showed up. Anyway, there are a number of really good taco places in town, but this currently is not one of them–here’s hoping that they reset/revitalize the offerings.

Hi-Fi Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 918a, Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach

I recently started working on the Boulevard in April. I started going to your coffee shop because your store has a conveniently priced small iced coffee with mocha. However I’ve only gotten my drink rung up and made correctly about three times which were the first three times I went there. Your employees are very very nice. For some reason the last few times I’ve been there I have been charged for the wrong drink and they have been made incorrectly, therefore my drinks have been terrible, and overcharged. The only reason why I haven’t really been able to speak to anybody whenever it happens at your establishment is because I never have any time because I’m always on shift when I go there, and can’t be gone long. It’s always a different person who does it so I’m not entirely sure if your employees have been trained correctly on your register or to make your drinks. It’s really not hard to make an iced coffee with mocha. I like this place a lot, but I’ll be forced to stop going there if my drinks are made incorrectly or if I am charged wrong one more time. I do hope that you guys take the time to fix this.

Neveria Tino – Menu with Prices – 4476, 7301 Baseline Rd Ste B, Little Rock

Mexico Lindo Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 40 S Boulevard of the Presidents, Sarasota

So we thought we would try a Mexican restaurant in Sarasota and it was a big disappointment. We sat and got ice tea and water. The iced tea and salsa that had no kick. They had spicier salsa. Yay Now on to the fiesta fajitas which were bad. The chorizo was overcooked and the shrimp rubbery. The tortillas I hope they are not home made because they need to fire that person. The veggies were good and crunchy. The chicken and beef had no flavor and if I liked bland Mexican food would have been great. The best part of the meal was the rice and beans that were authentic tasting. When the check came they added 15% gratuity for two people and that was different. They must get people that come in and hate the food. The servicers are not any better than the food. So if you want to eat at an authentic mexican restaurant, please dont go to this restaurant.

Kaengthai Bistro – Menu with Prices – 10152 82 Ave NW, Edmonton

When you first walk in, you kinda notice that it is not your typical restaurant. On the wall on the left is the menu ( great choices of dishes and you can select your spice level from 1-5 ).. There is no waitress or hostess per se.. it’s kinda like fast food service but with freshly high quality food. Once you placed your order , find a table and have a seat . It does not take long to get your food.. it’s fast and hot. We had a starter of calamari ( lightly breaded and perfectly cooked ) and chicken satay ( kinda dry but it was tasty ). My friend ordered the soup ( Tom Kha ) and I ordered the Pad Thai. We were just finishing our appetizers when the entrees arrived.. it was piping hot. We had to let it sit for a few minutes to cool down. The serving size for the soup was perfect.. my pad thai dish could have been a bit more loaded. Dont get me wrong.. the food was absolutely delicious. This was our second visit . so they are definitely doing something right. It is kinda odd though that each time we have gone, we were the only ones in there.. but we did see a few SKIP THE DISHES drivers come in for orders. The place is super clean and the owners are always smiling and greeting you with a smile.

Pounce Cat Cafe – Menu with Prices – 404 W Broughton St, Savannah

My two daughters and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. It was a great! When you walk in there is a bakery like set up. You can order drinks, beer and wine. You pay to visit with the kitties. It’s $10 each for 30 minutes or $15 a person for 30 minutes and you get a drink included. We opted for the 30 minutes. They have a a chalk board that keeps track of the cats they get adopted out. They have found homes for over 200 cats. The girl that worked there said this is their second location and the first was in Charleston. She said with both locations they have saved over 1600 cats. That’s amazing!!! The adoption prices are sooo reasonable. It’s like $65 for a cat under 6 months and $35 for older than 6 months. The cats come spayed or neutered and up to date on their shots and include an additional vet visit. What a deal!. Now for the exciting part! The room beside the cafe is a glasses room full of the cats. They have a book with bios of all the kitties. Each cat has a collar with the cats name and age on it. Their were young kittens and grown cats of all colors and size. They were all sooo adorable and sweet. All three of us had sooo much fun!

The Green Olive Mediterranean Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 3580 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach

Was here from Day 1 when they opened this Restaurant. Witnessed how they improved their service and facilities. Owner, together with his family and a couple of hired helped turned this place to a hot spot of Mediterranean food. They started out with combo meals and now they are catering for over 40 person serving. They are now expanding their dining areas with an alfresco outdoor dining area, looking to be about ready by this summer. It is also a great convenience that they have a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks when you dont fancy the fountain. Cold drinks include iced coffee from starbs, energy drinks, Mexican & Mediterranean drinks, water, and fruit drinks available in 8oz 16oz, and 1 liter sizes. Chips, trail mix, beef jerky and ice cream are also available. There will be a line during lunch time for dine-in, to-go and uber deliveries. Combo meal comes with viand, rice, pita bread, and dip. Meal costs around +/- $12.00. Has restroom for customers. It has now become a legitimate competition from The Pan also located within the property.

Palm Court of Guyana – Menu with Prices – 17116 Hillside Avenue, Jamaica

Called the restaurant and placed an order for delivery. Person taking the order said food should be at my place in 20mins since I’m 2 blocks from the restaurant. Called back an hour later after the food still didn’t arrive. A man picks up (the owner or manager) and says the last order he has in the system for me is from March. I asked him if he could inquire with one of waitresses about the order and he says “don’t you think they will lie about taking the order”. I’m stunned!! What does that have anything to do with anything? You have to question the integrity of the people that work for you, for something as simple as taking a phone order? Or maybe that was just an excuse because he felt a customer’s business isn’t important enough to even ask his staff. Then he goes on to tell me they don’t deliver past 8pm on Sundays. Sat here hungry for no reason!! They obviously didn’t care!!! The man didn’t even apologize, just put forth lame excuses… they obviously don’t care about the people that keep places like this in business. DONT EAT HERE!!! DONT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I’VE SEEN FROM A RESTAURANT!!!

Momentum Coffee – Menu with Prices – 3555 Rayford Rd #10, Spring

This place is a must EVERY time I come home to visit. The coffee is great and the food is great. Except today….hence the 3 star review. Customer service. I walk in and they have ONE person running the counter, drive thru and producing drinks. I get it’s a Tuesday and business can be slow during midweek and one person running the whole show can slide. I know how it gets, Ive been a barista. So, I’m patient. But, when the poor girl has a line of 5 deep, 2 cars in drive thru, and still has to make drinks for patrons who previously ordered….shes going to need help. What got me heated was while all of this was happening, there are 3 Owners(I sure hope it wasnt), managers or employees sitting in the corner chatting(or having a mtg….frankly, as a customer, dont know, dont care) and seeing their girl starting to drown, do absolutely nothing. Yet, one of the guys in a tie dye shirt just keeps glancing over at the line as it builds, still do…..wait for it…. nothing. He finally decides to make moves and help the poor girl after I was giving him a stare down. Then the dude finally walks up, asks if I’m waiting for drinks or food, I needed to step to the side counter. I told him that I was actually waiting to be helped and he rudely replied, “Well….I’m right here” DONT ever talk to a customer in that manner or tone. Customer Service is what keeps what makes a business thrive. There are plenty of coffee shops around here but Great customer service is what makes customers return for your coffee. That’s why I kept coming back. I hope the next time I’m in town the customer service is better.

El Melvin Cocina Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 1355 Main St, Sarasota

Went for drinks with friends to check the place out on Friday, we did not eat the food but I do intend to come back and at the very least try the food and update this review then. I am told by the group Margaritas were “meh”. I checked out the menu and saw Salsa was $5, which we thought was strange assuming we’d been at Two Señoritas so many times before where as in most Mexican places these items are usually free. For a Friday night music was pretty bad. An acoustic guitar guy playing Neil Young tunes and Mustang Sally was a strange choice for prime time Downtown. The decor, the music and what I saw on the menu seemed rather dull for all the hype about this place. We had to cut our night short because a very strong sewage smell started to manifest where we were seating by the bar and it got worse and worse until we notified the server and maybe the manager(?), asked for the check and left. Service was good, server was friendly and prompt. I get Two Señoritas was not the paragon of Mexican food, nor authentic or particularly hip, but it was a bit of an institution. I felt the move to replace it with another Mexican concept was a bold move but I am not sure the execution matches, or surpasses the prior spot. Again, I’ll try the food and revise the review accordingly – but on drinks, ambience and music – we felt EL Melvin left a lot to be desired. What’s up with that name anyway. What/who is “The Melvin”?

New Orleans Original Daiquiris Menu with Prices 133 Lee Dr, Baton Rouge

I am a regular coustomer who will not be returning. The only person on duty was a lady who claims she is the manager she was drunk and talking on her cell phone ignore me when i walked in i showed my id got approved and she ignored me i told her 6 times i wanted a mardi gras. Drink and still ignored me i thin i asked her about a different drink and she was supposed to know how to make it was long island she did not even know how to make it she asked a cousmter. I did not mention i could. Tell she had been drinking and was being very rude until she decided to keep on ignoring me i had my koney and everything ready i was fixing to pay for my drink but she never even made it there was only 1 coustomer and no excuse for why she could not service me howevwr i twlk alot because i am a kind person who is used to striking up conversations because i also work in a restaurant and i am trained to communicate and be kind. She denied me a drink and told me ibwas drunk i have not had a single drink today i was at a hospital all day with my sick great grandmother who has blood cots in her neck and arms and having kidney failure. I not only was not drunk but did not have a chance ti drink because the only place i buy drinks is at this place beacuse all the other drinks give me terriblee heart burn so i dont drink anything but a small mardi gras drink. Never enough to get drunk but enough to. Calm my nerves i never ever ever get drunk indont beilive in thst however thisbis the first time she has evwr. Been there. When i asked for anything. Normally itsa very kind guy who takes my order my husband even told the very rude lady that i have not had a drink yet. I never drink anywhere else because everything else makes me sick. I am high dissatisfied. And will never return. Ever that was very offensive the way the talked to me and treated me. Just because a person is talking to you dont mean they are drunkni had just walked in i had just left the emergency room. I just wanted a small drink and to go home and go to bed. People with adhd naturally talk alot but i make use of. It because it is polite to speak to others hello how are you your having s great day mine was okay or good. … Blah blah. I. Work in a restaurant i am used to talking to others so excuse me for being nice. Apprently being nice and speaking to anybody means your drunk. So hey everybody who is sober Apprently your drunk in her eyes

The Original Corner Pub – The Nations – Menu with Prices – 1105 51st Ave N, Nashville

We like this place, good menu, good drinks, good waitstaff. However, today the cook was distracted at 3:30 in the afternoon. I think sometimes when business is slow a restaurant kitchen can get in trouble just because nothing is going on. Ordered wings and tots, the wings came out fossilized from over cooking, you could kinda tell the cooks mind was elsewhere since the tots were extra crispy. Now if I was serving food to the only customers in my place I think I’d make sure it was at least close to right, what with social media and all. The re order was cooked correctly, but why have to do it twice? We will be going back since they have the best meatball sub in town, but come on guys, pay attention all the time.
