Some of the better coffee in the area. There’s 2 Starbucks’s and 1 Tullys within half a block of where I work, but I’d rather make the trip down here and get some coffee that doesn’t taste burnt when I have the time and it’s not pouring outside. Significantly better quality coffee than the other bigger chains and they have butterhorns – these pastries that are flaky and amazing, with a slight hint of cinnamon. Their macchiatos are closer to traditional Italian macchiatos, so be careful if you order that (not the same as Starbucks). Since this is in the Expedia building and Seattle-lites love coffee, it can get super busy but don’t be scared if there’s a long line… they move pretty efficiently. Out of all the Ladros, this is definitely the worst I’ve been to, I’m not saying it’s bad but the others are significantly better.

Bare Beans Espresso – Menu with Prices – 7 W Pacific Ave, Spokane

Stopped here on the way when I moved to Seattle. Very friendly service, but more importantly had an iced white chocolate latte that was probably the best coffee I had ever consumed. I still have a lot of Seattle coffee ahead of me, but at times I contemplate driving all the way out there just for another coffee!

Bridge Ministries – Menu with Prices – 6019 McPherson Rd Ste. 8, Laredo

This is my go-to place for Christian literature used books. You simply cannot beat their prices anywhere. What they don’t have, they can order for you. They have lots of events for bible study and children’s education. They also sell homeschool books! Last and certainly not least, they have a coffee shop that rivals Starbucks and costs significantly less. You will be truly blessed by visiting here.

Shepherd Artisan Coffee – Menu with Prices – 919 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

I’m Italian, I love coffee.. I’m a much better person when I have a coffee because I’m absolute shit storm to deal with otherwise and thank the heavens I stumbled upon this place. My partner and I went here one of our first nights in Miami during the afternoon at it was a fucking scorcher of a day. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and he ordered a caramel latte. After feeling pretty jet lagged the coffee was strong just how I like it and made us both feel alive again. It was by far one of the best iced lattes I have had! Nothing beats a super cute Artisan caffe over shitty Starbucks. We went to Shepherd’s several times throughout our vacation. I just wish I could order one of their vanilla lattes when I’m back home! xx

Remedy House – Menu with Prices – 429 Rhode Island St, Buffalo

This cute little cafe is just wonderful! The location is perfectly settled in a community that seems dedicated to bringing new life to Buffalo, and Remedy House is a great step in that direction. Bright and well lit by walls of windows, it’s a great stop on a day out walking and exploring the city. Parking shouldn’t be an issue with so many streets, but they definitely don’t have their own lot. Small with limited seating, you might not want to come here with a group, either. Their larger tables are meant for sharing, so if you’re not comfortable sitting by strangers, you might want to get your coffee to-go. When it comes to coffee, they have a ton of options! You can customize and the baristas are friendly & non-judgmental. When I ordered my macchiato, the barista made sure to confirm with me that this was a traditional macchiato (as opposed to the bastardization propagated by Starbucks). He didn’t even ask with a condescending tone, which I found quite impressive (and I order macchiatos a lot).

Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders – Menu with Prices – 428B W Katella Ave, Orange

If you’re looking for a new and authentic coffee shop to fuel your addiction, Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders is hands down the best there is. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place after seeing it on the show The Profit with Marcus Lemonis. I wouldn’t say I’m a coffee connoisseur. I definitely don’t drink coffee black and if I’m being honest, I can’t tell when a coffee is roasted and flavored with notes of “hazelnut and caramel” or “cherry and cinnamon”. My coffee addiction began at Starbucks, like everyone else. But my coffee journey has led me to Bodhi and I’m never looking back! Starbucks coffee is full of sugars and other things to give it more flavor, but Bodhi is legitimately authentic coffee. I don’t know all the proper vernacular, but it appears that they roast and grind the beans in-house. I have tried all of their iced lattes and I love every single one. You can even mix the syrups to create your own concoction (I love vanilla and caramel together, or vanilla and cinnamon). I was recently introduced by one of the baristas to their version of the Starbucks’ caramel macchiato. Bodhi’s version of that drink is called a Caramel Twist. It’s delicious and I order it every time I come in now. I always used to notice that Starbucks would fill my cup with tons of ice and milk and only a small helping of coffee. It always frustrated me, but I figured it was just how all coffee shops operated. When I discovered Bodhi, I also discovered that their ice to coffee ratio is flipped. I’m now not left with a full cup of ice and I feel like I get such a better bang for my buck! The parking at this location is pretty terrible, but that doesn’t dissuade me from coming. There is a single row of parking spots right in front of the shop that are always all taken. If you don’t mind a quick walk, you can find additional parking on the right of the building in the middle of the shopping center. I can’t say enough great things about this coffee shop. If you’re over the high prices and long lines associated with Starbucks coffee, you HAVE to try Bodhi. They are beginning to expand their company and have several new locations.

Sunergos Coffee – Menu with Prices – 231 S 5th St, Louisville

I’ve officially been to all Sunergos locations, unless they decide to expand. We walked in here about 30 minutes before closing on a Friday just before World Fest. It wasn’t busy. We were the only ones in there. It’s a small space. Mostly for grabbing your coffee to-go. There are two small tables outside though. I can see this place getting busy, since it mostly serves the workers downtown. I ordered a 12oz iced coffee with almond milk and a pump of vanilla. Yum! Never fails. It was honestly almost $5! I support local, but I can’t lie that Starbucks actually makes this same exact drink at almost half the price. I order a grande at Starbucks and it’s almost $3. My sister got the guava lemonade coffee soda. A seasonal drink. It’s got guava juice, fizzy lemonade, and espresso. Fantastic! I’m not sure if I’ll be able to return to this location but I will most certainly be at the other locations around the city!

Mzizi Coffee Roaster – Menu with Prices – 2995 Johnson Ferry Rd #220, Marietta

For those wondering where it is off of Johnson Ferry Road-it’s its near where Johnson Ferry Road meets Shallowford Road near the Kroger and the Walmart. It’s on the border of Cobb County and Roswell. I’ve been looking to visit for a while since they have French Press coffee. In this area it’s almost impossible to find it unless you go to a special cafe…such as Doucer de France Bakery (they have a Roswell location https://goo.gl/maps/G38ByLTgvhQRm76S9 ) Mzizi serves Batdorf & Bronson coffee which Fodor has called the Seattle based coffee roaster that can “stand up to the best that Seattle has to offer” (that’s quite the compliment if you’ve ever been to Seattle-I mean any city that differentiate between northern and southern Italian coffee has something going for it…for Star War fans that’s knowing the difference between AT-AT and AT-TE….anyway, the force is strong with this one- Mzizi coffee. Besides being in a small intimate strip mall with plenty of parking, the space has a bohemian vibe to it with rattan hanging fixtures, faux fire place and fresh baked goods. How was my coffee? absolutely perfect.They definitely know how to make one because lets face it you just can’t fake a good cup of coffee. Using good quality coffee beans is a start but not knowing what you are doing-well that’s like me buying a set of $3500 golf clubs thinking I can get on the LPGA tour…seriously have you seen me play golf…not pretty! Mzizi Coffee shop is definitely a winner and a place worth going…daily! Cheers!

Espresso Vivace – Menu with Prices – 227 Yale Ave N, Seattle

As the Seattle stereotype goes… there’s a coffee shop on every corner … and there’s a Starbucks on every half block. That’s essentially true. If you’re a coffee drinker, this city really is your dream come true. I have now come to Seattle 4 times in the last year and it’s allowed me to explore certain parts of the city really well. Because I stay in the same location each time I go, I have developed some “regular” locations that I really enjoy including Espresso Vivace. I’m fairly new to the coffee scene so I take each visit to a new cafe as an opportunity to broaden my horizons. I have now been to a fair number of places and have really enjoyed becoming a regular coffee drinker. On our first visit to the area, we dropped by Espresso Vivace because it was close to the Springhill Suites in SLU. Located right across from REI, there’s a lot of foot traffic coming through this little corner that they sit on. As such, the mornings (even times before 8AM), there can be a little bit of a line. That being said, the longest I have ever had to wait was about 10 min. They have a wide array of coffee drinks but I frequently find myself going back to my usual: either an iced americano or an espresso. Both of these drinks I feel really highlight the beans they use. Their flavors are complex, bold and low acid… just the way I like it.

Jason’s Courtyard Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1521 Apache Dr, Chula Vista

I’ve been coming to Jason’s since I started college at SWC a few years ago. Hands down, my absolute favorite coffee shop in all of San Diego! I’m not an avid coffee drinker, but the coffee here has been a saving grace for me. I love their coffee because it’s sweet, but not overwhelmingly sweet. I order their ice coffee all year round, but sometimes I order their hot coffee, which tastes just as great. My favorite drinks are the Polar Bear and the Divinity, but I heard all the drinks here are very delicious. Not to mention, their coffee is A LOT cheaper and I personally think it’s better compared to Starbucks. I stopped getting Starbucks in the mornings before class because I knew the coffee at Jason’s was more worth my money. Unfortunately I graduated from SWC this year, so I’m very sad I don’t have access to Jason’s all the time anymore. ? My sister started attending SWC though, so sometimes I ask her to bring some of their coffee back home for me, haha. It’s that good!! If you’re a student at SWC, please take advantage of this little coffee shop during your time there, you won’t regret it!

Metro Bean Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1851 E First St A, Santa Ana

I had to work at the Xerox building all day and I figured I better load up on caffeine, so I went to the little cafe between the parking structure and the building. It didn’t look like much when I walked in, though it was very clean and spacious, but I ended up walking away very happy. The guy at the cash register was SUPER friendly. It was my first time here, so he obviously didn’t know me yet, but he knew all the other people getting their morning kick-start and knew their drinks. The woman who prepared my wheat bagel with cream cheese was also very friendly. I love dealing with friendly people in the morning when I’m usually crabby because it makes me less crabby, so this coffee trip made me smile ? The guy who took my order also made my caramel macchiato, and while he was drizzling it with caramel he said, “Candice (Totally remembered my name from my debit card that I paid with – nice!) do you like caramel?” And I of course said yes so he drizzled extra caramel on top for me. I wish every building I worked at had nice cafes like this so I could stop searching for local Starbucks. They also had a yummy-looking lunch selection, so I might add more when/if I eat their food…

M Pellegrino Importing Co Menu with Prices 1197 Central Ave, Albany

I’ve been going to Peligrinos since the old location years ago. My grandfather and father used to take my siblings and I there every weekend as kids. We are Italian and know real homemade Italian food. Peligrinos is still the same, super! Hard working, friendly, the best fresh products, just like the old daysð??ð???. order ahead if your in a hurry, as they get extremely busy. Good things are worth waiting for!!! They do move fast, but very busy. Check them out, you’ll never be disappointed. Also prices are great for the quality, enjoyð??ð???

Starbucks North Shore – Menu with Prices – 20 Cherokee Blvd #128, Chattanooga

Starbucks North Shore is by far my favorite coffee shop. The coffee is excellent (consistently fresh). The food is delicious (love the turkey/bacon/cheddar biscuits and everything bagels). The service is OUTSTANDING!!! Leasa is an amazing barista!!! Emma is a superb manager!!! Bekah, Christian, Chase, and Katasha are great!!! The other workers (can’t think of their names at the moment) do a marvelous job. This Starbucks is a really good place to work or relax. And they play a lot of jazz (which I love).
