I’m oddly picky about wings, y’all. Like they can’t be greasy, they can’t be too gooey, I like sauce but they can’t be dripping in it unless it’s hot wings OR these. This place is definitely low key and you must be committed to wings to stop in because there’s no drive thru and you must get out of your car to pick up. They do accept phone orders but I would still expect to wait a bit. The wait, is SO worth it. So you must get the BBQ ranch fries. Don’t faux soul search and talk yourself out of it. Yes, they are fried and not healthy, but you’re eating wings for god sakes, why stop now? Crispy crunchy fries, drizzled in ranch and wing sauce? You’re going to effing love them. When you get to the wings, don’t pass up the spicy garlic Parmesan. There’s a ton of butter and cheese and they are SO crunchy on the outside and juicy in the middle. Beautiful. We also did the double dipped OG and honestly, I thought they would be saucier. If you do these, get extra sauce to dip. Good flavor, but I was left wanting more. If you want a real authentic non chain wing, this is your spot. It tastes like you’re having wings in your backyard with your crew – all you need is a nice cold beverage to wash it down. And some Zantac. Lots and lots of Zantac.

That Wing Place Menu with Prices 360 Boniface Pkwy, Anchorage

Tonight I decided to branch out from my normal wing place (Buffalo Wild Wings, sue me), and try a local wing joit. To be fair, the biggest motivators for this decision was that they delivered, and that they offer a different selection of sauces (I’ve gotten into a baaaad Spicy Garlic habit and needed some change.) I’m a boneless wing girl, and like my wings very crispy! Now, onto the review. I placed an order for delivery and the man that took my order was polite and to the point, a trait that I really value in wait staff. One weird thing was that when asked if I could do four flavors for a Double Portion (20 wing) order, I was told I could only get 2 flavors unless I wanted to “mix” flavors. Alright, whatever, I’ll go with two. They quoted my order at 60-75 minutes for delivery, with the actual delivery time coming it at about 45-50 minutes. The driver was nice, too. No problems with staff. My order consisted of two flavors: Buffalo Blue Cheese, and Buffalo Ranch. I was excited to try them as they are not usually flavors found on my long worn BBW menu. Upon opening the containers I was met with some, er, disappointment. To say the least. With no exaggeration there were probably two tablespoons of sauce in each container. Okay…. I guess we will just need a little extra ranch to dip these in. Nope! Turns out not only were the wings underwhelming in flavor, they were soggy! Wish I could say I’m coming back, I really do want to support a local business, but that is just not the case. ?

Slim Chickens – Menu with Prices – 2711 S Louise Ave, Sioux Falls

I got the opportunity to sit down at Slim Chickens last night. I had tried it once prior, but taking it away and eating it 10 minutes after ordering doesn’t do it justice. We tried out the Cajun Chicken Sandwich and their wings, with the french fries and Parmesan garlic chips. The wings were nice and plump and well coated in sauce, a far cry from Buffalo Wild Wings. The chips were crisp and very flavorful. My chicken sandwich was amazing. It is a simple sandwich but the pickles and the crunchy onion bits were a welcome addition. The chicken was moist and I can’t wait to get it again. If you have the opportunity, dip your fries in their ranch. It was a little tangy with a good consistency. Definitely not your average ranch. I am excited to try it again and again!

Best Wings Of Memphis – Menu with Prices – 951 Getwell Rd, Memphis

This is part of a chain of hot wing places in the city. I’ve not eaten at their other locations, so can’t compare it to their other sites. This location is relatively new. The store was clean, and the service was good. There is dine in as well as takeout, and also drive-through. Parking was adequate, and it was easy to get in and out of the parking lot. I ordered the four piece mild whole wings. The wings were fried, and then covered with the sauce. Wings were average size, and the taste is about what you would expect of most wings The wings came with two rolls, a few carrots and small celery slices, and ranch dressing dip. Overall I would rate the wings as average. If I was in the area and hungry for wings, I would stop here again. But up I was really interested for a serious meal of wings, I would probably go to Buffalo wild wings or another place.

Original Buffalo Wings – Menu with Prices – 2499 Lombard St, San Francisco

I recently realized that I had not had just regular chicken wings in a long time, and I was happy to see these guys as part of a Postmates Party so no delivery fee. I’ve gotta say, it was pretty solidly middle of the road. The wings were just pretty good. My sort of “average” wing comparisons are Buffalo Wild Wings and Wing Stop. Of course, we don’t have those in the city, but by comparison I would say I like their sauces more, but Original Buffalo Wings is definitely a better value. And believe me, value in the city in this day and age is something I do deeply appreciate! I tried a few things, as is tradition with a new place (and delivery order minimums). I got the spicy bbq tenders – not very spicy – the pamasean ranch tenders – a dry rub that was pretty tasty – and the steak sandwich. The steak is a literal steak sandwich, like a steak on bread, not a cheesesteak. That threw me for a loop when ordering because it asked how I wanted my steak done. I said medium, but next time, medium rare as is proper for steak! While mine said it was spicy bbq, again, not spicy. Ranch, carrots, and celery are included, which is awesome. They also have big tenders and don’t go overboard on the breading, which is very refreshing. They also gave me a few bonus tenders. I just can’t with good conscience say it’s 4 stars and the flavors were just okay. I will try again and see how that spicy Hawaiian is. Maybe if I can find the right sauce my qualms will be assuaged.

A & D Buffalo’s – Menu with Prices – 1058 W Club Blvd # 558, Durham

Cant go lower than one star? A very emotional experience I would say. I wanted to get a simple gyro from the other place, but no, someone suggested that we should get food from A&D. I agreed and after carefully looking at the menu and those pictures besides them, decided to order 6 Buffalo wings with some fries and celery. (Wait was like 15-20mins). Anyways, I got my order and since I was quiet hungry, i was looking forward to destroy em wings. I opened my box and saw these 6 tiny wings. Which didn’t even look like that they came from chicken. I have had quail once and it had bigger wings than these whatever they call em. But the hey. They hid the wings under all those fries and i could see my celery as well which gave me hope to continue to eat. As I tried to bite off the meat from the wing. The whole wing got stuck between my teeth, not a piece but the whole tiny wing. As i struggled to eat and enjoy my food I picked up a piece of celery which brought tears to my eyes, last time I had one of those tears was when I lost my pet cat Sammy. Anyways. That was devastating to me. I couldn’t hold it. I had to take pictures of the food, which I have posted along with this review. Oh yeah they charge $0.30 for water as well. That must be some super special ultra filtered imported water. Because I do feel really hydrated. JUST SAYING. IT’s a lie….. All those pictures dont match the end product.

Buffalo Shack – Menu with Prices – 1512 Tunnel Blvd, Chattanooga

This is a staple hot wing joint for the city. It’s been here since I was in high school (16 yrs ago) so I’m surprised there’s only one review for them. They offer a few different flavors but hands down the mild and hot are legit the best tasting wing sauce I’ve ever had in life. I compare all other wing sauces to this one. They also sell French fries and I think can sodas (I only ever get the wings). The wings are deep fried then tossed in sauce. There are 2 drawbacks on this place: the wings are small and the location is a bit sketchy if you aren’t familiar with the area. But, I just recommend to order more wings and go during the day if you’re worried about the location. They taste so good that I don’t even deduct stars. Now, this is literally a shack; a basic food truck with absolutely zero frills, so keep that in mind if you’re needing the extras. But if it’s amazing wings you’re after, then this is the spot.

Not Your Mamas Wings – Menu with Prices – 1150 E Philadelphia St #112, Ontario

I can say that this place by far is the best wing place I have been to. Am I surprised that it is the best? No I’m not cause how many wing places are actually good. That is not a knock and saying that any wing place can just be good. But let me tell you that these wings are something else! Fried to a perfect crisp and not overly greasy and nicely seasoned. I had the lemon pepper wings and could not have been anymore satisfied. Your fries are your typical fries. You really can’t screw up French fries. I’m not going to knock the review down to a four just because I think it is a preference. But I got the potato salad as a side and overall it was pretty good but I thought there was too much relish. But I know ppl love to have a lot of relish in their potato salad so there is that. I will say if you been thinking about coming to this place then stop thinking and go. Support businesses like these because their is no wing chains that can rival this place!

Crave Wings – Menu with Prices – 13633 Warwick Blvd #1, Newport News

Crave Wings is what I consider a chicken wing gem in Newport News. The location is off Warwick in a small shopping center around other international stores. The inside is decorated with simple decor and decent seating for a casual restaurant. A few TV’s are on the walls and the place is always clean. The restaurant has a moderate sized menu of both American fare (Burger & Sandwiches) and Korean food, but the main attraction is the chicken wings (bone-in). The chicken wings are pretty large as compared to Wingstop or Buffalo Wild Wings. They are unbreaded, flash fried wings, that are coated in your dry rub or sauce of choice. They have plenty of sauce/dry rub options from honey BBQ, to garlic pepper, to traditional hot. A 10 wing combo with french fries and drink will run you about $14 which is still comparable to other chicken wing restaurants. The food is cooked to order so you’ll have wait, usually about 10 minutes, but the wings are worth it. The chicken wings and the sauces are flavorful. The chicken wing meat tastes as if it’s been brined or marinated before it was actually flash fried. Once fried, the wings have a slight exterior crunch. The french fries are just your basic crinkle cut fry and I’m pretty sure they are unsalted unless you ask. You could probably skip on those and use your money to get another side or more chicken wings. The fries can’t be substituted out of the combo though so you’ll have to buy the side separate. Beyond the traditional wings and a few sides, I can’t speak to much of the other items on the menu. If you are going to a place called Crave Wings, I can’t imagine you’d be looking to get anything other than the wings anyway. They are the star.

The Buffalo Spot Menu with Prices 1707 N Collins St Suite 121, Arlington

Walking into this restaurant, I really thought it was a wingstop. The interior layout just gave me wingstop vibes. Anyways, this is a newly opened restaurant in Arlington, TX. It’s located in a pretty huge plaza with tons of other restaurants and dessert shops. There are tons of parking spots in front of the restaurant. Food wise, the wings were okay. They were pretty average in my opinion. We ordered the family tradition wings pack. The pack came with 4 small drinks, 50 wings with 4 flavors, your choice of bread sticks or fries, and ranch to dip. If you wanted veggies you would have had to pay extra. Its also 60 cents extra if you wanted an extra wing sauce or wing sauce on the side. The sauces that we got for the wings are lemon pepper, original hot, jalapeños pineapple, and caribbean jerk. Lemon pepper tasted more lemony than peppery. The lemon pepper at this location were wet based compared to dry based lemon pepper at wingstop. Original hot was a pretty good basic buffalo sauce. If you’re looking for spicy then I would recommend getting Atomic hot. It’s a spicier version of the original buffalo sauce. Jalapeños pineapple was my personal favorite. It wasn’t spicy for anyone who can’t eat spicy. It was fruity and tangy. It was a sauce that many other wing places did not have. If you’re willing to try a fruity kind of wing sauce then I would really recommend this one! Lastly, Caribbean jerk just reminded me of asian zing from Buffalo Wild Wings. It was average and nothing really special. Overall, I like that they were able to accommodate my party of 10. The wings were just warm, it didn’t taste like they were just made. They were pretty mediocre. It wasn’t anything special. However, they’re apparently well known for their buffalo fries. We got the buffalo fries in garlic parmesan and it was actually really good! The sauce was good, and the fries were thick and crispy. If I was going to come back, I would get these fries again!

Flavors Wings N Daiquiris (Flavors Wings, Daiquiris, & Catfish) Menu with Prices 5005 S Cooper St Suite 175, Arlington

Don’t get me wrong, the wings are hot and sized well. But a few problems with our experience. Fair warning, you can NOT order plains wings at all, no sauce on the side and no uncuncoated wings. Period. It’s a little weird but okay, we went with it. I ordered a combo with fries. Their “spicy garlic” is just buffalo sauce with garlic powder sprinkled on top. Kind of a let down. Honey mustard was nice. Ranch dressing wasnt anything to write home about. Can’t comment on the fries; I never got any. I went back to the counter and showed my receipt and the guy said he would take care of it. I ate my meal and my fries never came. This place definitely has a following, lots of people come in here and the people were friendly. But I’m not sure if I would recommend it.

New York fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 446 Blue Hill Avenue, Boston

My best friend had brought the wing ding meal home one night for himself and let me try a wing and I thought they were pretty good, especially for the price. So of course later on I went and got my own wing ding meal. For 3.99 plus tax you get 6 wings and some fries it is definitely a good deal. Everything was fresh and the wait wasn’t too long. The chicken was pretty crispy and definitely had taste. I would go back again. The fries were good but nothing special. I would highly recommend the wing ding meal to anyone who is hungry but is on a budget.

Fatburger & Buffalo’s Express – Menu with Prices – 21020 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach

CHECK YOUR ORDER!!! Or better yet don’t even bother eating here!!! This place is new, and since we live around the corner, we decided to give it a shot. We ordered our food to go, terrible idea. Burgers: dry, bland, no flavor. If their claim to fame is burgers, they definitely missed the boat on that one. I will say the patties were decent size, but so terribly dry. Fries: both of us ordered the fat fries. They also have skinny shoestring style fries, but we opted not to get those in fear that they would be cold by the time we get home. Mind you, we live literally 2 mins from this location and the fries we got were cold, stale, and gross. Honestly tasted like they had been cooked an hour or two earlier and then just re-dipped back in the grease to “heat them back up” Wings: I ordered the boneless wings in medium sauce and my husband ordered the hottest sauce the have. But when he went to eat them, they were teriyaki sauce!!!! How do you go from the hottest sauce to putting on teriyaki sauce…? Maybe it was a mix-up and someone who ordered teriyaki got the scorching sauce ones. Which would be terrible as well. Might I suggest putting stickers on the boxes so you know which ones to put in the bag?! The wings were soggy, absolutely NO crisp to them. The best part, we get home and they didn’t put any ranch or celery/carrots in with our order!!!! Nothing! No ranch with wings is like a sin. Come on now. This place sucks. Honestly I wish it would burn to the ground, but at the same time please don’t. I would miss juice it up and Starbucks too much if you did burn. And if I could give it zero stars I would. The only reason it gets one is because neither of us got explosive dia*rhea. Thank god for iron stomachs.
