Divey just like any South East Asian store in Fresno, the highlight of this place is the fresh fish and LIVE seafood such as Crabs, Lobster and Oysters. In addition they also carry a complete asian grocery goods such as sauces, vegetables, herbs, spices, frozen goods, can goods, tea, coffee and even cutleries, tableware and more. There is plenty of private lot parking around the store, and be warned that this store is really for non-divas, because it is a place for more adventurous people who are used to asian styled chaotic grocery with the lack of details to create a beautiful grocery experience. With that said, its not the worst I’ve seen. Overall Im a fan of this place because it carries a huge inventory of asian grocery and overall the price is very cheap. I would say somethings are even way cheaper than R-N, golden bowl and Asia supermarket. Cash is preferred but they do accept credit cards and debit cards. The aisle is not very big, but the store is packed right and left with goods, I wouldn’t think they carried so much stuff, but they do. I do love seeing the pots, pans, mugs, cups, plates, bowls, saucers and etc at a very cheap price in comparison to other place in town. Its not crowded too when I visited it at noon. In addition they also have a huge range of frozen seafood and asian ingredients such as screwpine leaves and various exotic fishes. The owner is asian style service so dont expect much, be independent and explore this tiny little seafood store. They are open from 9-6 according to the owner, however I would call first before coming. I haven’t purchased the fresh fish yet, so I can’t give my testimonial on that, but their dry goods and vegetable has been great.

Mekong Market – Menu with Prices – 747 Main St, Worcester

This is considered to be one of the most popular Vietnamese grocery store in Worcester. This grocery store has gone through many changes throughout the years. They used to be located a block away from here in a tiny store back in the 1980’s. In the 90’s they expanded the store and grew their operations into another building. The grocery store has a airport hangar type of feeling similar to going to BJ’s or Costco. You can find almost every type of Southeast Asian food here, from fresh banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) to frozen boxes of imported squid. They also have a fresh fish market in the back. They will even descale the fish for you unlike most fish markets. This place also sell various types of Asian cookware and other household needs. Parking here can be a challenge since they have a tiny off street parking lot. The parking lot is situated at a 20 degree angle so you might want to be careful of runaway shopping carts hitting your car. Street parking is also hard to find here since you are in downtown Worcester. Overall I prefer to shop here than at the other two popular Vietnamese grocery stores in Worcester since this place has a off street parking lot.

Aquarius Fish Co – Menu with Prices – 314 W 300 S, Salt Lake City

I was on a mission to find fish suitable for sushi, a daunting task in a landlocked state. I’ve tried (and failed) to find fresh, flavorful fish in the past and finally came across Aquarius Fish Co in my searches. I made it in after work, about half an hour before they closed. Although they have several different and sometimes exotic options, I was looking to purchase 3/4 of a pound each of tuna and salmon. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly helpful, assessing my needs and made a recommendation for a New Zealand King salmon. This guy clearly knows his fish. That was hands down the most delicious salmon I’ve ever eaten, and was wonderfully fresh, as I understand seafood shipments are flown in daily. He was also kind enough to pack it on ice for me, as I had a 40 minute drive home. It’s not cheap fish, but it’s also not cheap fish, if you know what I mean. This is not your grocery store seafood department, nor is it the asian market variety. You truly get what you pay for, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the product. It’s not easy to find, but it shares a wall with Caputo’s, and is up on the second level of the building on the left side. I’m afraid I’ll wear my own path to their door now that I’ve found a legitimate fish market in Utah.

Asian Family Market Menu with Prices 14515 NE 20th St, Bellevue

To start, I want to point out that my three stars means “A-OK.” It’s OK, and necessary for some products we buy, but doesn’t quite rate four stars (“Yay! I’m a fan.”) Second point, I’m not an expert on Asian groceries. The most frequent reason we come here is for fresh rice noodles. I don’t think I’ve seen them anywhere except Asian grocery stores, and this one is the most convenient for us. They have _lots_ of kinds of fresh noodles; I’d guess 60 or more. I’d guess that their selection of fresh rice noodles alone exceeds the selection of all kinds of fresh pasta at a regular grocery store. It was bewildering the first time we were here. We have a friend who has celiac, which means she goes to the hospital if she accidentally eats wheat. So when we were having her over for a Thai recipe we had to find some no-gluten soy sauce. (Most kinds include wheat, not just soy.) This store has half an aisle of different kinds of soy sauce! It’s like breakfast cereal at a Western grocery store. I read a _lot_ of labels, and eventually found something that would be safe for our friend. Another thing I like about the store is seeing the live seafood in the back. The last time I cooked fish that I had seen alive was when I was a kid, but I still like to see fish so fresh that it’s still swimming. The store has looked really clean every time I’ve been there. There are lots of different smells here – produce, spices, subtle grain smells, and back by those live fish, seafood smells. But I’ve never noticed any smells that didn’t smell fresh. Even in the fish section. So far, that’s the makings of a four or five star review. The place where the store falls short is customer service. For example, I looked through the whole store, twice, and didn’t find a particular type of sauce, so I asked an employee. He didn’t speak enough English to understand the question. (On the other hand, my Mandarin is much worse, so it’s not an entirely fair complaint in an Asian grocery store.) I tried another employee, and although her English was fine, she didn’t want to be bothered. Finally, I asked a third employee. He spoke very little English, but managed to say, “Fred Meyer” clearly enough that I understood him with the help of his gesture in that general direction. (Oops! All that searching, and it’s a Western brand, not the Thai original.) Praise to that guy who knew it wasn’t something they stocked. The store isn’t typical in dealing with credit cards. On one visit, they didn’t take American Express at all. (Too bad, since I get extra cash back with it on groceries.) Another time, no problem. On my most recent visit, they said no credit cards on purchases under $5 (and those delicious rice noodles are really inexpensive), but at least my debit card was OK. A sign with the rules would help. Speaking of signs, some of theirs were obviously written by second language English people. Having studied just a little Mandarin, I can even see why they wrote the signs the way they did.

Surf & Turf Food Co – Menu with Prices – 5740 Old Cheney Rd, Lincoln

This place is in a small strip mall just off of Old Cheney road. They regularly update their Facebook page and website with information about what they are getting in or have in. When you first walk in you will probably notice the high prices, but recognize that there’s a good reason why this fish costs more than what you’re getting at the grocery store. The flavor that you get from flown in fresh, never frozen, troll caught fish that is expertly fileted is amazing. I’ve only tasted similar quality fish when eating fresh caught fish just off the sea. You will also find many kinds of fish that you can’t get at the grocery store. For example, we recently had their Ivory King Salmon-a white filet with a buttery, silky taste. Overall, this place is definitely worth a try and should be considered whenever you are in the mood for high quality seafood.

Triar Seafood Co – Menu with Prices – 3166, 2046 McKinley St # 7, Hollywood

Shhhhh, ok, not sure I should review this joint as not sure if I want tons of folks finding out about this hidden gem. Kudos to my fellow Yelpers for helping to find incredible fresh seafood market. Tucked away in a small warehouse district close to West Dixie Hwy or thereabouts, one will find Triar Seafood Company. They mostly cater to top chefs and restaurants but was pleased to find out they do sell direct to consumers. Picked up 1lb of fresh Scottish Salmon at a competitive price and man oh man, so so good! Their seafood selection is huge. All one has to do, is check it out online, call ahead with your order and show up with CASH. Reference prices and doing some checking, I would say they’re competitive with your local Whole Foods, hence the less than 5-star review but everything is guaranteed Fresh, not frozen. They don’t take credit cards. And you’ll be in and out in about 10min with your fish wrapped and on ice. And with friendly folks there to help, this will mainly be my stop for fresh seafood from here on out.

Chitown Fish & Seafood, LLC – Menu with Prices – 4949 N Elston Ave, Chicago

We came in on a Saturday afternoon right before they closed. The owner helped us to find exactly what we needed for our party. Clean warehouse and fresh smelling seafood. We got great looking fresh seafood for less than we would have paid at any grocery store. The owner was so helpful and ready to help with any questions we had. Will 100% be back for all our future seafood needs!!!

Foremost Seafood – Menu with Prices – 1904 Woodman Center Dr, Dayton

Best place to buy your fish, seafood, soup in the greater Dayton area. (It’s the place that the better restaurants get their fresh fish from). First of all, just in case y’all hadn’t noticed, we don’t have that many resources here to catch our own fresh fish, and yet they bring in fresh not frozen fish! The other day I stopped by on my way home, and the fishmonger brought out a piece of pollock for my inspection. It had the aroma of the ocean! No slime, I brought it home, poached it in butter and lime and I could have been at Jays or Sweeney’s! If I needed help, there’s always recipe cards available. My only problem, I didn’t just stop at the one piece of fish, got a 16 oz of clam chowder and piece of frozen sea bass for later. (Why pay $35 to 45 for a meal when I can make it for so much less. (Sorry Jays)

Ocean Seafood Distributors – Menu with Prices – 196 Emmet St, Newark

A full service seafood distributor with a small public retail store. The retail store has a great selection of frozen seafood, no fresh seafood for retail, but they do have a full array of Portuguese specialties, several sizes of imported frozen whole fish including mackerel, great selection of octopus, all types of shrimp, etc. If you re having a party, Definitely worth a trip for some much better quality than most stores.

Front Porch Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3105 San Pablo Ave, Oakland

I stopped into this very clean and wonderful foods market. The amazing parking lot allowed numerous cars, I feel this place is going to be amazingly popular in the very near future. After learning that it to ten whole years to get it built from concept to selling their first product, you can see why. Community Foods Market is not your usual community grocery store, but rather a store that carries the best, most delicious organic vegetables. It also has a deli and a clean cafe. There is a seafood section, a meat section, salads with hot food deli. The seafood section offers a variety of fresh fish, crawdads, crab, oysters, and even mussel. It’s all on ice and you can see them working hard behind the display case. For the meat section, I have purchase Filet Minion, TBone Pork and NY Steak fresh from those areas. Where else to you can buy a fresh whole chicken, frozen duck or your usual sausage, bacon or eggs all carefully curated by people who care what they serve you. They will also custom out a sandwich or if you like to ask them what you want, for a small price they might custom something to your needs. Whether it tuna, turkey, chicken, roast beef or others, your choices of very high-quality cheese is sure to be involved. Edison, the chef is super nice, and if you can snag any of his either BBQ ribs, Fried Chicken or rotisserie chicken before they run out. In the regular isles, you can get cereal, bottled drinks, candy, and canned goods. Then round out your grocery visit to the organic fruits and vegetables. Hot Peppers, cilantro, romaine lettuce, carrots mango, avocado, onion, garlic, spinach, apples, apricots, peach, banana, cherry, strawberries, so much more, all from the organic bins. When I cut into the pineapple or celery, which I have, it smells wonderful, like real food. When it came to where I paid my food, it was very reasonable.

Pescaderia En Mesa | Pesaderia de Guaymas – Menu with Prices – 811 W University Dr #102, Mesa

This is a relatively new fish market. It is of Mexican origin. I have been watching this location for the last 1.5 months since I saw the sign when driving by on University Drive, wondering when they will open. Well, they are open now. My wife, of Vietnamese origin, and I decided to see what was up. We went in on 01/14/2017. It is a small fish market. The staff was friendly. It was a man and woman. They had some various fresh seafood and fish (octopus, snails/caracol, shrimp, and others). A lot of it looked fresh. It even impressed my wife, who knows fresh fish and seafood, coming from Vietnam. She almost wanted to purchase some of their jumbo shrimp, but decided not to. We have too much seafood at home to eat through, and now space in our fridge. We will be coming back, and this time to buy some of the shrimp if they are good. It will save us the trip to Rocky Point in Mexico. We wish this business well. We definitely want them to thrive and be successful. One of the attendants gave me their card, and told me that if we desired some kind of seafood that was not displayed, to contact them. They may have it in storage, or they can order it for us. I will consider it. Perhaps, they will eventually have more choices. Otherwise, it will be difficult competing with the Asian markets on Dobson Road, and also on Broadway Road, with their huge seafood departments. I wish them well. That shopping strip they are in never has seemed to quite recover since the Fry’s Supermarket there closed. That location needs more successes.

Skip’s on the Ridge – Menu with Prices – 2895, 640 W Ridge Rd, Rochester

I’d been to Skips in Henrietta and in Fairport and expected to walk in to a plain old butcher shop at this Skips as well; uh, no. This is a gorgeous, large store that had the standard glass cases featuring nice cuts of meat, poultry and seafood, but it’s also basically a small grocery store! There are quite a number of freezer cases featuring just… everything! Frozen meats, seafood, veggies, convenience foods, desserts…everything you’d find at a grocery store, along with a dairy case and fresh produce! There is a large selection of sauces and spices and rubs to choose from and large tubs of all the BBQ sauce favs to purchase. This was a very busy place the Sunday we stopped in for caveman bf to pick up some sausages. We took a number and waited about 10 minutes for our turn. Craig ended up with some uniquely flavored sausage and some mild Italian links for the grill. I spent the entire time browsing the store and watching people making huge poultry purchases.. it was a fun trip for sausage that I didn’t expect. Such a gorgeous place and the staff are helpful and have the sense of urgency necessary to service the big crowd that was there that day. Can’t wait til Craig needs more sausage!

Vien Dong Seafood Market – Menu with Prices – 2345 W 1st St, Santa Ana

So I love Seafood. Its the best thing there is! This place a hole in the wall. They carry fresh Seafood. Their shrimp is amazing and has no after taste. I have had shrimp from the grocery stores and they taste so fake and nasty. But this place does it all justice. I no longer get seafood from grocery stores. I rather pay a decent price for fresher products. So I am super stoked that my mom brought this place to my attention.
