Stopped in for a quick bite in between games, practices, and a baby shower on a Saturday. I wanted to try this new Frosty King location out, so my son and I went through the drive thru. I remember when the building used to be a McDonald’s, and for the last 10 years it’s changed owners 3 times. Each new owner has let the property look aged and worn out. The parking lot looks pretty bad, the drive thru needs some taking care of, and there is an empty cement slab outside where McDonalds used to have a ball pit for kids to play in. I can tell homeless folks live their overnight. As far as the service, today was very slow. I get that their specialty is burgers, fries and milkshakes, but I waited 18 min to get an order of chicken tenders, fries, extra popcorn chicken and a Sierra Mist. Not that I expect anything other than an apology for the wait time, but the girl at the drive thru window didn’t say anything. The only thing the girl did was smile (which is better than some). I thought the chicken was okay, and the fries were also good. I hope they get better with time because I’d hate to see another out of business sign on the window. Overall not a bad place to get a quick bite.

Burger Bar Fort Wayne – Menu with Prices – 223 W Jefferson Blvd Suite 101, Fort Wayne

The Burger Bar is located in the Hampton Inn & Suites next to the ball park. I was waiting outside with other people but there didn’t seem to be anyone working at the window, so I went inside. There was only one cashier during my visit, so all the people waiting to order inside were served first before those waiting outside on the patio. You can order inside if you plan to eat on the patio, so just something to consider if you find yourself in the same situation. Make sure to check-in on Yelp so you can get free fries with your burger. There are also other promotions that will get you freebies, like free fries on Fridays, and $2 Milkshakes on Tuesdays. The September shake of the month is Carmel Apple. I tried it and really liked it. I also ordered the Crispy Chicken Tender Sandwich. It comes with sriracha mayo, but can be changed for other sauces if you prefer. I stayed with the sriracha mayo, and I’m glad I did. It went well with the chicken. My only gripe would be that I wish the chicken sandwich was one piece instead of three tenders. Keeping it all together and not falling apart was not impossible, but I still ended up with half a chicken tender slipping out of the sandwich. While the menu is limited, there are enough good options. Burger Bar kind of reminds me of a Shake Shack – great shakes, chicken, burgers, and fries.

Buddy Chicken And Boba – Menu with Prices – 20 City Blvd W, Orange

4/5/19 2 star for customer service//3.5 for food/drinks …came here to grab a quick bite and drink. I noticed their menu changed a bit, they now have combos which I actually like. When we got in, there was no cashier at the store… but the cook was there to take our order ahead. We waited about 3 minutes and we saw the girl walking in, she didn’t look very apologetic that we had to wait for her to take our order. Our popcorn chicken and fries came out first, because the girl was still taking orders from the others that was also waiting behind us. We finally got our drinks. Our combo only came with one sauce, so we had asked for an extra. (The combo really needs two sauce, to be honest!) The girl said it was .25 cents extra (you would think she would just comp that .25 knowing we had to wait for her to return to her job) So we just paid it. As we were eating our combo, the girl left again… she went across the way to get her lunch(to go, I guess her order was ready) I’m just saying, it’s really bad customer service when you have to wait to be served….we too were on limited time. It was just the overall experience was not very pleasant. If the girl’s attitude was more apologetic, it would have been a diff story. I just came here for the plum popcorn chicken. I’m a fan of their plum popcorn chicken and their sriracha dipping sauce. I always get the green peach tea boba. Refreshing! Service here is pretty quick, staffs are cool.. Get your boba k

Wild Wings ‘n Things Menu with Prices 1102 N Muldoon Rd, Anchorage

I am very surprised at how terrible the chicken is here. It’s almost as overpriced as it is over cooked. I came here after a movie date with my husband for a late night snack before heading home. It’s located one store next door to the theater off the Glenn. It wasn’t full or crowded when we walked in, but there was still a fair amount of people there. After a quick look at the simple menu we ordered a half pound of chicken tenders and an order of churros. We added on the kamakaze ranch and a soda. For about 25$ we got 5 good sized chicken tenders and the equivalent of a Costco churro cut up into a billion pieces with a pile of powdered sugar in the middle. The ranch isn’t pre mixed. It’s just regular ranch with a dollop of hot sauce with seeds on top. After we ordered the food came in a timely manner for how many people were showing up for takeout and the crowd that was already there. Then the doom showed up and I took a bite. I was so unimpressed and honestly, kind of disgusted, that I asked them to box it up to go. On our way home we stopped to get the kids from the sitter and gave them the tenders. My kids are human garbage disposals. They will eat or try just about anything. Even they refused to eat them. The tenders were way over cooked and fairly flavorless. The chicken was dry and it ended up being more breading than chicken. All in all, customer service is 5 stars. Food was barely 2.

Mission Crisp – Menu with Prices – 55 S Madison Ave, Pasadena

I’m sorry but the photos on the menu here on yelp and on Uber eats are very deceiving. We ordered the crispy chicken tenders with “spicy fries” and mission crisp “large” shrimp with regular fries. The crisp chicken tenders lacked seasoning. We pretty much dipped in sauce for flavor. The “spicy” fries were not really spicy, it seems like they just added seasoning salt. However, they were good. The crisp “large” shrimp was disappointing. The seasoning was good but the shrimps were very very small, they look nothing like the advertisement. The regular fries were very good as well. For the sides, we order cole slaw and a farmers salad. We never received the salad but were given green beans instead, not sure why. The cole slaw was good, it taste fresh.

Flavor Wings & Fries – Menu with Prices – 10911 N Western Ave, Oklahoma City

Came in for a quick bite at this takeout only urban wing spot, complete with security window to order at. Service was friendly. Fried chicken wings are big here, with a nicely seasoned crunchy black pepper-heavy crust. Our batch was a bit overcooked which made some bits on the edges rock hard. Chicken inside not especially juicy but was tender. No sauce was offered which surprised me. And no sliced white bread. Fries are thick cut as you’d expect with Chicago-style, came with ketchup. They sell a sauce for the fries, 50 cents a cup. It’s tasty stuff, like Raising Cane’s sauce but with liquid smoke added. If they added chicken strips to the menu it would be the perfect dip (hint, hint). With so many fried chicken places a short drive away it’s a tough sell without a honey drizzle or some interesting sauce smothered on ’em. But the seasoning is definitely nice, good enough to bring me back in.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers Menu with Prices 863 Arlington Ridge E, Akron

I’m generously giving it three stars because it is new, but again, thats generous. Walked in and it was pretty packed, they have tables so close to the registers, it’s like your standing on top of people to order, and the people eating have people standing on top of them in line, definitely could have used a little more room. Ordering was fine, the girl told me they would call my number when my milkshakes were done, we went and sat down and our food came out fairly fast, after not hearing anything about our milkshakes i walked back up and they were sitting there melting, I said are these mine? Nobody called the order out? As i was grabbing mine the milkshake girl set someone elses up there, never yelled just set them on the counter, so im assuming the same happened to them. Overall the food was just meh, my daughters burger was so thin it was burnt, like to a crisp on the outside edges, once she picked around that it was alright. The prices are a little high for basically what is fast food, i guess you are paying for ambiance it does have an old school diner feel to it.

Mr. Brews Taphouse – Menu with Prices – 220 Ruccio Way Suite 110 Suite 110, Lexington

Let me be clear and say that I am reviewing the food and not the beer here. I did not imbibe on my visit today. First, I really like the small atmosphere here. You have a feeling going in that it’s small enough that you’re going to get great service, and you do. Our server was excellent. Drinks were refilled before hitting level zero. She was all over it. My wife went with the All American burger, my son with the California burger, my daughter with chicken tenders, and I went with the Ragin’ Cajun Chicken sandwich. We had a variety of potato based sides, including fries, Parmesan fries, and Parmesan chips. How was it all? It was decent. It was good, not great. The burgers were, in my opinion, under-seasoned and uninspired. They were just good. The same could be said with the chicken sandwich I had and the chicken tenders. The fries were, well, soggy, and the Parmesan seasoning didn’t really help there. Now, if your thing is a ton of craft beers, this might well be the place for you. But I’m about food first and beer second. I’ll take great food and a Coors Light in a bottle any day of the week. There are better burger places in the city, such as Bad Wolf. In the end, I left a U.S. Grant poorer and a little disappointed.

Seafood and More Garners Ferry – Menu with Prices – 8006 Garners Ferry Rd Ste C, Columbia

Passing through South Carolina, I used Yelp to find a dinner stop. Based on previous reviews, we selected this spot. First of all, it is a bit of a hike off the highway at about 12 miles from I-20. It is counter service, so ordering was quick. Nice selection of options – chicken, shrimp, crab… cooked in various methods. We tried the spicy garlic shrimp, chicken tenders, corn on the cob, white rice, boiled eggs, steamed broccoli, French fries, boiled potatoes, and sausage. A nice variety of flavors. All was tasty: corn was sweet and cooked well, though my young daughter was unhappy with all the paprika sprinkled on it. Shrimp was a lot of work to peel and eat, but had a good flavor. My husband preferred the sausage, cooked in the same seasoning. Chicken tenders had a thick batter, but the kids enjoyed them. Fries were crispy, but nothing out of the ordinary. The place was constantly busy, and we did wait about half an hour for our food, though smaller orders were placed and received during that time. Bathrooms and dining area were both clean and well decorated. Wouldn’t necessarily drive out of my way to go there again, but it was good.

D & D Hotdogs – Menu with Prices – 4055 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa

This place is the BOMB. My business just moved in down the street and this is officially replacing McDonalds as my daily lunch. I rolled up to “True” by Spandau Ballet blasting over their radio. Their menu is simple and straight forward. Multiple kinds of hotdogs and sandwiches you can order. Milkshakes too! I got a couple long dogs for my boss, a BLT, and a chocolate milkshake. It was all perfectly delicious. The lady manning the joint was really nice and made the food super quick. So glad I work a few blocks from here, it’ll be difficult not to stop in daily for lunch. A++ Highly Recommended as long as you aren’t looking for a snobby high class meal. Great for us normal folk and amazing food.

Harolds Chicken #7 – Menu with Prices – 109 N Show Pl Dr, Rockford

The service was hella slow. We had to wait an hr, other people who ordered after us got served before us…. There’s no order in the kitchen, and since they have a window looking into it you can really tell. The fries sucked, and the chicken was kinda cold and soggy by the time we got it. Really disappointed since everyone from Chicago says it’s good. This location’s got a serious management issue and the kitchen is just seriously not efficient. They were just yelling at each other and one guy who was speeding it up by bringing the food straight out because the girl up front was being slow got yelled at and locked in the back. Big props to that guy, very sad he got yelled at, he was working so much harder and smarter. By the time my group actually got all our orders, even though we ordered one after another, my chicken was already cold and dead and my fries were already a soggy sorry mess. I guess their sauce was good but like I’m trying to eat some fried chicken not sauce. For real. Could be good I guess, but how would I know when all I got was a soggy mess of cold chicken?
