I just left from the grand opening and man this store is not only clean and well set up but it is huge! All of the employees that I came in contact with were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful about explaining all of the products available. They have so many options for CBD in every form. You name it and they probably carry it. Oils, topicals, edibles, and more in every strength and lots of flavors. If you are new to all of the uses of CBD you should seriously come by and ask as many questions as you need to and they will be happy to help. If you are already knowledgeable come check out there selection.

Craft Vapor – Menu with Prices – 2528 8th Ave S, Nashville

Must check out! Lots of great flavors and wonderful employees! Worth the drive for me living in Clarksville (hour away). Will definitely be returning. Gentlemen that helped us was as nice as could be and super helpful. We asked lots of questions and wanted to try lots of different flavors and at no point made us feel like we were being a burden! Great place, good vibe, nice people and best of all good prices, cant beat that!

Jerusalem Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1456 E Michigan Ave, Lansing

This is a small place that is mostly for carry out. Their website states ‘Dine in or Carry out’ but the day we were there I didn’t see anywhere to ‘Dine in’! Most things on the menu are made in house and very fresh. The falafels we ordered were fried up right when we ordered them! They also carry quite a large supply of canned foods, spices & seasonings, grains ect. from the Middle East. The owners/employees were quite friendly and helpful and happy to answer any of our questions. I recently visited Israel and can tell you that if you are wanting some authentic Middle Eastern food……this is your place!

Big Sticks Fine Cigars – Menu with Prices – 1907 W Main St #4b, Mesa

Great selection of cigars and craft beer and wine to pair along with it if you’re looking to hang out. There’s a bar to sit at and watch tv while you enjoy a quality smoke, or you can sit at a table, or comfy lounge chair in one of the back rooms, if you prefer. Paul and the rest of his staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable about cigars and can answer any of your questions to help you find the perfect cigars. They sell humidors and a wide variety of accessories as well, including cigar cutters, lighters and humidity packs. Out of all of the cigar shops in the valley, this one is my favorite, because everyone is very laid back, friendly and I learn more about cigars with each visit. Make sure to check them out on Facebook because they have lots of cool events and specials throughout the year with food trucks, cookouts, etc.

The Gin Room – Menu with Prices – 3200 S Grand Blvd, St. Louis

My mom and I came here after dinner at The King and I last Saturday night. We had dressed up sort of “spooky” but not quite costumed for Halloweekend and wanted to go somewhere out and about and have some drinks, but not end up part of a huge party crowd. I am a gin lover and have been wanting to try this place since before I moved to St. Louis last January, and my only regret about my visit was that I hadn’t drank here long ago and kept coming back. When we entered there were a few diners but no one at the bar – apparently there was a huge event in the CWE that night so South Grand was pretty quiet. We were immediately greeted and given (huge, extensive) menus by bartender Dale. After perusing the menu and the huge wall of hundreds of gins behind the bar for a few minutes we had some questions, which Dale was happy to answer. He was knowledgeable and taught us about the gins on the menu without being pedantic, snobby, or condescending (attitudes that are unfortunately the norm in my experiences talking with more knowledgeable craft spirits connoisseurs). We tasted several gins, some to decide what to have in our drinks and some because the bottle looked interesting or the gin was unique and weird. Dale asked about our favorite gins and cocktails and made recommendations from there. I ended up trying a hibiscus G&T with a gin I don’t remember (awesome), a Hendricks smash which included some of my favorite cocktail flavors from real ingredients – basil and cucumber (even awesomer), and a Collins made with Uncle Val’s peppered gin which I was skeptical of before tasting but I turned out really enamored with it (also awesome). The cocktails, the gins, and the customer service and bartending skills courtesy Dale were all excellent. The drinks weren’t cheap but not hideously expensive, and the experience was totally worth the price. I am certain I will be returning regularly.

Nicey Treat – Menu with Prices – 916 E Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis

Nicey is my favorite dessert place in Broad Ripple! If you want to get a sweet treat, check out Nicey Treat! They are located across from 317 Burger on the back street of Broad Ripple. They have over 40 flavors of popsicles there are seasonal flavors and flavors they have all year round. If you are vegan, they also have popsicles that are vegan. Some of the vegan popsicles they have are peach, mango ginger, avocado, strawberry mint, and more. For a more creamy popsicle, they have flavors like not so hot chocolate, almond butter, toasted coconut, let lime pie, and more. You can even get your popsicles dipped in milk chocolate or dark chocolate! Not only the popsicles at Nicey are great, but so are the employees. You can be sure to be greeted with a huge smile when you enter the store. The employees are very helpful at describing the popsicles and helping you make a decision! I have never had a bad experience here. Nicey Treat is a great place to go with your whole family! There is a treat with your name on it when you come into Nicey!

The Pizza Press – Menu with Prices – 30010 Temecula Pkwy #104, Temecula

When I’m looking for a new place to eat, it is generally not during the day, but rather later in the evening or even late night. Although the latter is hard to find, this place is open super late. SERVICE The service was amazing! Within literally 10 seconds of walking in the front door, I was greeted by two employees that had huge smiles on their faces. You could tell they love working there, even if it is super late. I had no idea what I wanted to get, and both employees were very helpful and helped me modify my pizza into the perfect pie! ATMOSPHERE When I went it, it was a little late, so it was not very busy. It has the feeling of a sports bar, and pizza restaurant, with a trendy vibe. The TVs were on sports, and the music jammin’ at the perfect level where it was not too loud. This place is totally kid friendly, but targets all ages. If you don’t believe me, the check out their happy hour schedule, e.g., Student and Teacher Tuesday. CLEAN The doors were clean and the floors had not one piece of trash visible. You get to watch the employees make your pie, and when they do so, they use multiple clean gloves before handling your food. Sometime, you don’t know with 100% certainty when you go to a restaurant with the kitchen in the back. FOOD The pizza was amazing, and I was able to customize it completely. Even though I am not usually a thin crust pizza person, I enjoyed it very much. I might see if they could press the pizza a little thicker than their standard. All of the toppings were fresh, albeit later at night. DRINKS The micro brew beer is pretty impressive for a pizza place in area and center like this. There were at least 15-20 different types of beer on tap, and the selection is great for whatever your preference is: light; dark; hoppy; malty; foreign; etc. For me, they even had Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout on NITRO. 5 Stars for the beer selection. OVERALL I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a new pizza spot that serves fresh food by happy employees.

Coffee Science – Menu with Prices – 410 S Broad Ave, New Orleans

Coffee Science is a super great local spot! It’s open until 7pm every day which is nice when you need some caffeine later in the day but want something smaller than Starbucks with cool brews. They’ve got so many different types of coffee, you can choose which beans you want and the style- pour over, french press, aeropress, you name it, they’ve got it! It’s nice to be able to try a coffee bean with the way you would make it at home before you buy a bag of it, which is one of my favorite parts of Coffee Science. Plus, all the employees are super personable and knowledgeable about coffee and all their products and are more than happy to answer your questions, but not in a snobby way at all. It’s a great place to stop by and do work- plenty of outlets, grab a drink to go, or stay for a bit outside on the covered porch or in the back yard at one of the picnic tables. Only qualm is that parking isn’t always super easy to come by. As far as actual coffee goes, love their espresso (I do wish it was served with sparkling water instead of still), they’ve got a ton of fun beans to try that rotate, and they’re always happy to suggest a cup if you’re not sure of what you’re feeling.

The Ancient Olive – Menu with Prices – 47 King St, St. Augustine

The Ancient Olive is the best store to get high quality designer olive oils and balsamic vinegars. With so many different flavors to choose from it can be overwhelming making choices. Fortunately the knowledgeable employees are very helpful. You can taste the vinegars and oils and they even give you suggested pairings so you can try different combinations together. Personally I have a little difficulty sipping the oil and vinegar straight. Perhaps if there was a cube of bread or cracker it might be easier to appreciate the tastings. On a positive note, they do offer suggestions of uses for the different flavors and there is a website you can get recipes. You can also keep your bottles and return for refills for a $1 discount even if you want to get a different flavor. The store also offers a variety of specialty food items. I really appreciate the variety of local products you can find in this beautiful store right on King Street in the heart of historic St Augustine. There are closer specialty olive oil stores, but none as good as this one. The customer service is awesome in this store. If you are sight seeing or taking time to have a meal and do not want to carry your purchases with you, they will even hold them until you are ready to leave for the day.

Forty Pearl – Menu with Prices – 40 Pearl St NW #110, Grand Rapids

Stopped in on a Thursday night to give Forty Pearl a try. All I knew was that it was a wine bar with small plates – that’s it. Location is good – lots of street parking and parking ramps near them. Lots of other places within walking distance, too. Venue – Beautiful and spacious! I was very impressed with the renovation and the well done aesthetics. Loved the whole look and vibe – they did a great job. The space is much larger than I anticipated – counter space, tables, and bars. Lots of options and lots of space for large groups. Well done! Wine – To my disappointment they only have Michigan wine. I am not a huge fan of Michigan wine, so I was not impressed with the wine selection. Especially since there is only two wineries represented. Found the prices to be reasonable – $10 for 4 tastes. We were not interested in a full glass or a bottle, so we didn’t look at those prices. Small Plates – When we asked for a menu we were told that they were in a transition from Noto’s handling their small plates, to someone else. So, no food.. not even a small finger food like peanuts or olives. This was disappointing and was part of the reason we didn’t stick around longer. Service – our server was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He was more than happy to offer recommendations and give us his opinion on the wines. Great personality! My personal hope would be for them to bring in wines from other states or countries – personal preference. Also, they need food – of some form or another! Even if its small “snack” foods.

Shred415 Sawmill – Menu with Prices – 6610 Sawmill Rd, Columbus

What a great workout! This was just what I needed to get in before eating a bunch of Thanksgiving food. I came while they were doing the free classes for their grand opening. My favorite thing about the workout is that everyone can benefit. Whether you’re super in-shape or just getting started, you can go at your own pace and burn a lot of calories. There’s a nice large gym room with treadmills along one wall and weights & benches along the other. You alternate between doing cardio on the treadmill and strength at the benches. It’s essentially high intensity interval training with some strength. The instructor did a good job of preparing us for what was coming next and there were lots of changes so you never get bored. Additionally, I was really impressed with the bathroom. It was so clean and well put together. There were towels, lotion, mouthwash, tampons, pads, everything a woman could need!! (I’m sure the men’s was also well equipped) While Shred415 is out of my current graduate student price range, I’ll keep an eye out for this franchise after I graduate.

Loretta’s Authentic Pralines – Menu with Prices – 2101 N Rampart St, New Orleans

If you are ever in Da Big EZ Do yourself a HUGE Favor and Skip the Long Line at Cafe du Monte and head straight to Loretta’s. Why?? Well many reasons. 1st) I have tried both and Loretta’s Binettes taste WAY BETTER. Hands Down!! 2) Selection and Choices… Loretta’s does Beignet breakfast sandwiches and Crab Beignets. Also she has Pralines the Beat in Da Nola. 3) And Certainly Not Least Service Loretta’s is a Family Atmosphere. Everyone there is happy to explain the menu, make recommendations, and answer questions. We came twice and Loretta was there both time. She was even nice enough to take a picture with us after some good conversation and great food Don’t worry Mom & Sis, I am got some pralines to go and am Happy to Share the Love with you when I get back

Mayer Bros Cider Mill Store – Menu with Prices – 1540 Seneca Creek Rd, Buffalo

My heart feels so full every time I visit Mayer Bros. I’ve been visiting for years and there’s been some exciting recent updates I’ve noticed. Huge example, there’s a side parking lot many people never knew about because it was never connected to the shop. They poured a beautiful concrete sidewalk and now it’s much safer walking away from the street. (Also recommend using this lot because the spots against the street are extremely stressful backing out of) They’re open everyday 6am-8pm. Extremely flexible hours for busy families. They opened in August this year and that was super exciting. Had all typical products and they’re fabulous. They have a large selection of fresh baked good, but I can’t possibly leave there without getting a cider slushie. They’re extremely about the environment and support reducing and recycling. You can bring in a reusable cup the size near the size of their slushie cups and they’ll fill those for you. Also for sale are tons of cute gift ideas, recipe ideas, and cider jugs to take home. The employees are so sweet and are happy to answer questions. It’s a great place to take your family, to check out with friends, or even go by yourself if you’re feeling fall and festive!
