I’m a local office manager & have been ordering from Apple Spice Junction for almost a year now for most of my catered lunches at work. Not only is it a business with a foundation based on helping people in need, the food is outstanding! Their boxed lunch menu is the absolute best for working lunches & the sandwiches are delicious & the portions are GENEROUS. The salads are huge, and the ranch dressing is made in house (seriously so good). Everything is fresh, you can tell each item is made with care. Orders are taken promptly, and delivery times are better than expected. Nate is beyond friendly, and nothing like a manager who is there answering the phones everyday in the middle of all the action. I have recommended them to many people & will continue to order. Great company, with a great cause. This business is inspiring!

Kettles Vietnamese Bistro – Menu with Prices – 1202 W Steele Ln, Santa Rosa

I called and to let them know that they messed up my take out order. The man who answer the phone, Giovanni I believe, was understanding and nicely apologized for the mistake on their end. When he was going to process the refund, a man by the name of Nate told him to stop and that he should not do that. I spoke with Nate and he was ridiculously rude and actually ended up hanging up on me. I had to call the front, Angelica, twice in order to finally get to speak to him again after he hung up on me. I had two questions to ask Nate Do: (1) Can he go ahead with the refund of the single item and (2) why he hung up on me. Instead of answering those questions, he went on speaking very fast, making fun of the way that I was speaking, and essentially calling me incompetent. The funny thing is that he was actually quite incompetent. I was highly frustrated and let him know that his listening and comprehension skills were low and he was ridiculously rude. He refused to give my information to his superior. Eventually, after most likely realizing how ridiculous he was being, he angrily demanded that I give him my information–after I told him I no longer wanted to proceed down that route because after how he was behaving I knew there was no way he would ever want me to talk to a manager, he told me that I must not be able to hear because he was asking me for information and I wasn’t giving it to him. I did not end up eating my food, but my boyfriend ate his pho and it was not great. Nate admitted to them being in a rush so that must be representative in the quality of the food. You see, I completely understand that mistakes happen–especially when in a rush (which I can confidently say that they were not because I went into the restaurant and it was not that busy)–but the quality of the food should not suffer. Customer service should not suffer. Thank you to Gio and Angelica for being adults in this terrible situation. I feel bad for the owner because this review will negatively affect how they show up in search results, but the way that I was treated by Nate was unacceptable. He was probably having a bad night and took it out on me. No where should it be acceptable to hang up on a disappointed, calm*** customer. Angelica, the host, even told me that he said “He told me that we are busy so that I need to get off of the phone.” She obviously did not want to say that… Anyways, I do recommend that you spend your money elsewhere. Unfortunately, I am unable to speak to the owner of this business, but I can only imagine that choosing Nate as their representative may be reflective in how they run their business as a whole.

Coney Island Menu with Prices 406 Storer Ave, Akron

I?ve been here a handful of times over the past few years. The food is good but the service is just okay. They?ve always been polite but they never remember the order correctly. It is never ready when they say it?ll be ready. They have issues with accepting credit cards. They really need a skilled manager to help them out. Even a mediocre manager could help their situation. It seems like they leave the managing up to the cook who is also answering phone, taking orders and cashing people out. The cook needs some help!!! I would probably come in at least once a week if service was better. Being a business owner myself it?s hard for me to tolerate.

K & G Corner Deli – Menu with Prices – 169 Orange St, New Haven

I tried to have an order delivered to my office address today and was told we were too far away so the order would have to be over $25 for delivery (their requirement for deliveries over 1 mile). I told them we are 1.1 miles away and was told (quite rudely) that is still over 1 mile and so the requirement stands (even though they have delivered to my office many times in the past). I then went on their website which connected me to Doordash for online orders for delivery and it asked for the delivery address to confirm it could be delivered and delivery was approved and showed as 0.9 miles away. The refusal to deliver a $16 order because we were “too far away” at 1.1 miles (or 0.9 miles according to the delivery service) just cost them a bunch of business since I stop in at least once a week to pick up breakfast and my husband’s entire department orders from them often. Bad business practice.

La Bella Pizza -Lubbock – Menu with Prices – 2112 50th St, Lubbock

Lubbock’s Lebelas Pizza is absolutely the worst. Huge nay for them. I ordered food at 8:03pm tonight, and was told a 50 minute delivery window. at 8:58 I called and was told my food just came out of the oven and they were waiting on a delivery driver take it. at 9:19 I called and they told me it was about to leave in a couple minutes. I told them to just cancel the order as 20 minutes sitting in a bag the food would be gross. Then the manager got on the phone to let me know it would be 5 business days to get my money back (which I expected), and instead of apologizing and accepting responsibility for the error. I was told all of their orders sit for 20-30 minutes due to the size of their delivery area, and that it should be fine because it was sitting on top of the 400 degree oven. To top it all off this is the second time (the first it took over 2 hours to get my food at which point I canceled it.) Lost my business this time for good.

Palm Court of Guyana – Menu with Prices – 17116 Hillside Avenue, Jamaica

Called the restaurant and placed an order for delivery. Person taking the order said food should be at my place in 20mins since I’m 2 blocks from the restaurant. Called back an hour later after the food still didn’t arrive. A man picks up (the owner or manager) and says the last order he has in the system for me is from March. I asked him if he could inquire with one of waitresses about the order and he says “don’t you think they will lie about taking the order”. I’m stunned!! What does that have anything to do with anything? You have to question the integrity of the people that work for you, for something as simple as taking a phone order? Or maybe that was just an excuse because he felt a customer’s business isn’t important enough to even ask his staff. Then he goes on to tell me they don’t deliver past 8pm on Sundays. Sat here hungry for no reason!! They obviously didn’t care!!! The man didn’t even apologize, just put forth lame excuses… they obviously don’t care about the people that keep places like this in business. DONT EAT HERE!!! DONT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I’VE SEEN FROM A RESTAURANT!!!

Nelson’s BBQ Food Truck – Menu with Prices – 7327 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio

If been busy the past couple of weeks since I went to Nelson’s, but I have found time on my long ride to another destination to reminisce on the meal I had while in San Antonio that came out of a humble food truck. I had messaged Nate prior to coming to San Antonio, letting him know that my girlfriend and I were coming. We noticed that, with all of the pictures on yelp, his restaurant had the best lookin’ BBQ around. Now, I’m just a Alabama boy who loves BBQ. Alabama doesn’t necessarily have a BBQ identity, besides the White Sauce from Bob Gibson’s BBQ, but I know how to eat, and I eat good food. Period. When I arrived at the food truck, Nate and his friendly helper (I believe it was his girlfriend) were busy. Very busy. People of all ages were standing in line. Kids, mothers with kids, teens, parents, etc. we’re waiting on their food. I briefly talked with Nate and let him know that I was the one who messaged him. He promptly greeted me and my girlfriend with a piece of the most tender, moist brisket covered in fatty goodness. Absolutely amazing. Nate told me, “I got your order, don’t worry about it.” We exchanged some more small talk, but he needed to get back to it since the line for his truck was piling up, not because of poor service, but because the clientele knew how good his food was. Everyone we talked to stated that he was absolutely worth the wait. Once our food was ready, he called us over and said, “y’all got the last bit of brisket, and we are not known for our pulled pork, but this stuff right here, it’s good.” I’ll spare you the details of how quickly and viciously I ate my food, but needless to say, I blacked out. Nate gave me 3 strips of brisket. The smoke ring was perfect. The bark was perfect. It was moist. It was perfect. The pulled pork, that he stated that they were not known for, was incredible. It melted in your mouth. He also had pork ribs that were to die for. He also threw in some of his home-made chicken sausage, and it was really good. The Mac and cheese was insane. I will probably have him ship some out to me for my wedding, if he’s not already there in attendance. The sauce he has speaks for itself. He also made my girlfriend the biggest Nasty Nate. I was speechless after finding the smoked bacon. The picture I have provided doesn’t do it justice. Obviously, you don’t have to be as dramatic as I am about food, but if you are wanting good BBQ in the San Antonio area, from a guy who is nice and cares about his customers, come here. Oh yeah, did I mention he was in a food truck doing BBQ? That’s insane.

Subway Restaurants – Menu with Prices – 7377 S Jones Blvd Suite 105, Las Vegas

Went there 08/15/18 @ 7:30 am, two workers standing aloof talking about their personal life behind the counter, no attention to customer service whatsoever. Ordered meatball marinara, none made because they claim there was none available, wanted to order other on the menue, but no lettuce and running noticeably low on other toppings. It’s a 24hr establishment and no prepping of toppings available including lettuce, the most commonly used item. Asked for the manager, one of the two stated he was the manager, Joe, don’t know how true this was because usually I’ve only seen supervisors. I stated to him, do you see what’s going on? How do you run a business with no lettuce, which is the more commonly used item, with all the other items running low…all I got was a blank look as if he didn’t care because he was busy tinckering with the register. How ludacris is that, why even stay open with none to minimal toppings for their subsandwiches. Bunch of unprofessional employees, including the supposed manager himself. No wander this place has a high turnover of employees. Word of advice to the management and corporate, get more quality workers or train them properly, because these guys obviously don’t care about how they represent the company, just a bunch of young lazy people. They represent the company, act like it or you will lose your regular customers like myself. I live .5 miles away, it’s easy to find elsewhere to give business to. Places like this will eventually lose business and close down like the rest. Not coming here again if this is the newer up and coming staff members. The other crew were great, these guys were unbecoming of what an employee should be representing this company.

The Village Luncheonette – Menu with Prices – 2374 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn

I used I love this place. USED TO. Now that this place has gotten too busy for its customers, the slacking is showing. Besides the declining customer service, the food has gotten bad too. The past few orders have been very disappointing. They have a “breakfast bowl” that comes with eggs, your choice of meat and cheese and home fries. The last time I ordered it, it came with French fries; without them even bothering to call to say that they “run out” of home fries on Saturdays (which is what someone literally just told me on the phone not 5 mins ago) and they don’t bother to make more. How about take that item off of your menu then??? Who the hell wants French fries when you’re expecting home fries? Besides that, they’ve sent burnt bacon, iced coffee spilled in the bag, delivery people with attitudes. It’s very sad because this place was great when we first started ordering from them. We would order every Saturday for breakfast and never once had an issue. The funniest was when I made a complaint and they had the delivery guy ask me why I complained. Really?? So the owner or manager is too much of a coward to ask themselves?? Sorry, but you LOST a very good customer.

Aloha BBQ Grill – Menu with Prices – 9810 Indiana Ave # 800, Lubbock

First of all, we LOVE the food. The price is right and portions very large. HOWEVER, donâ??t waste time calling in an order ahead of time. I called in our order 30 minutes ahead of going to pick it up. After I paid, the very unfriendly woman put it at the END of the line of orders on the counter!!! I asked her why my order was placed at the end and I had called it in 30 minutes ago. She told me because all of the other people were ahead of me!! I waited another 30 minutes before my food was ready. I said, â??Just so I understand, it doesnâ??t help to call ahead?â? She said no. I was fuming, but will eat there again because the food is so delicious. I would suggest for them to put a message on their answering machine that they do not accept phone orders. Iâ??ve never had this happen with any other restaurant! Iâ??m sure they have had people call in orders and never pickup, but if they choose to do business like this, the customer needs to know their order will be placed at the end of the line when they pay, or accept payment over the phone. The lady at the front also needs some lessons on customer service. Itâ??s a good thing they have delicious food; they would have been out of business a long time ago.

Mr. Delivery Springfield, IL – Menu with Prices – 900 Christopher Ln #8, Springfield

Today, 3 of us were going to have a meeting over lunch. I ordered Mr. Delivery (Sunny China restaurant). It said it would take between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hour to arrive. I was watching the progress bar and I noticed it took 30 minutes for it to progress from order placed to Mr. Delivery reviewing it. Now, mind you, I did get a confirmation email thanking me for my order. I on live chat to ask about why it was taking so long. They took my order number, said they had checked on it and said they apologized it was taking so long, but it was coming. We went forward with our meeting. When I came back to my office, I saw the order had been cancelled. I called to ask why and they said that it was an error on their part that this restaurant wasn’t ready to receive orders, but I was welcome to order from anywhere else. They did have it up and you could order on line. They did not offer anything to me nor apologize for their error. We have used this service a great deal at my office, but will not be using it any longer. When I told him that, he did not seem to care. Has gone downhill since it has gone from Abe’s Delivery to Mr. Delivery. MR This should not reflect negatively on Sunny China. This is a negative review for Mr. Delivery in Springfield, IL

Cha Baa Thai Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1546 Queen St, Halifax

I’ve eaten red Thai chicken in every Thai restaurant in the city and this place had the worst. This is the worse Thai food I’ve ever tasted anywhere and I’ve even eaten it in small towns, with caucasian cooks. It was almost inedible. Too hot, unbalanced, too sour. Just weird tasting. Too much vinegar! It was a total mess. Even the rice was mushy and seemed like it had been cooked a few days ago. Their spring rolls were tough and flavorless. I really did not believe anyone could make Thai food taste so bad. Unfortunately, the food was actually better than the service! Warning: do not eat here! Terrible service. Dishonest, rude and unethical. Remarkably horrible experience. Given who works here, I would not trust this place for food safety either. I specifically called to see if there was a delivery charge since I was at a cafe right next to the restaurant. My place is just a few blocks away. Three times she said that there was no delivery charge. Instead of picking it up, I decided to walk home since delivery was free. Then it turns out the delivery fee is $6! When I realized how much more the cost was than what I ordered, based on what she originally quoted on the phone, I called. She denied saying there was no delivery charge after me, originally, asking 3 times! I asked if she was going to deduct the delivery fee this time. She said she “knew my address well” and, therefore, I should have known there was a fee. I had never ordered there before let alone for delivery. She lied again! Instead of making a customer happy and trying to develop a relationship, she actually canceled the order! Ya, she really did. Lol. And I was trying to be calm and polite on the phone. Why did she cancel the order? Because the delivery man had already picked it up and paid for it out of HIS pocket. It was a private delivery service. He was getting the $6 delivery fee. She didn’t care that he’d be out the money. Wow. Very poor integrity. Never again. There are far better Thai restaurants around with decent staff. She was very inflexible and rude. She even lied…twice! She did not care about her delivery service. She, essentially, set it up so the delivery person would be stuck with the food, after he paid for it, and without his delivery fee-payment. Yes, of course, I did pay the delivery guy. He didn’t do anything wrong. The woman on the phone is just about the bottom line and that does not sit well with me. She purposed lied THREE TIMES about not having a delivery fee, due to my close vicinity, so as to not dissuade my order. This is also misleading: if the delivery guy was getting paid $6 for delivery, and I didn’t know it was a private service, I would have added an additional 15% for the tip! Excuse the hyperbole, but do people have to re-mortgage their homes to have a little Thai food delivered these days? Truly outrageous. I paid a lot for, basically, dog food. Never again. Do not eat here. People like this should not be working in food services, and this restaurant does not deserve your money. Spend it elsewhere on good food.

Wild Wings N Things – Menu with Prices – 3265 W Alexis Rd, Toledo

With a name like Wings and Things (which we really enjoyed saying around the office with a twang…picture “wings n thangs being said over and over as we ordered and then waited for our food to arrive) we weren’t 100% sure what to expect. One of my coworkers asked if I’d been there and then started raving about the salad with chicken, so when it came time to pick a spot for lunch that day this seemed like a no-brainer. Their online ordering is super straightforward, the delivery charge is minimal, and our food arrived hot and fresh and exactly when expected. Also, we were shocked when we saw the total for 4 people’s lunches, plus drinks, and apps. I would say very reasonably priced and we definitely got a lot of food. I had the fattoush with chicken and ordered hummus and pita to share. My other coworkers had chicken gyro, fries and, of course, wings. We were all super happy with our food. Made our boring lunch meeting a lot more tolerable and we all agreed this would be a place we’d hit up again for lunch. I had the small salad and it fed me for two lunches with some hummus on the side. So good it reminded of homemade fattoush one of my Iraqi friends makes for me. I will definitely be back, probably ordering takeout for dinner sometime very soon….
