Love this place!! It’s definitely one of those hidden gems in Gainesville. With it’s delicious menu ranging from vegan to gluten-free options, it definitely appeals to the young and hip crowd. I came here for brunch and the Gritlin Ranchero was incredibly delicious. I would definitely go back and get that again. But aside from the delicious organic food and hip ambience, Daily Green is incredibly eco-friendly. They have their own compost made up of the leftover scraps from people’s plates. That definitely adds some major brownie points from me! Overall, definitely recommend local Gainesvillians to check this place out if you haven’t already done so. It gets a bit busy during the weekends especially during the brunch hour so take that into consideration. But other than that, totally worth it!

Burrell & Flynns – Menu with Prices – 1209 Savannah Hwy, Charleston

I really wish I lived closer because I would go here every day. First. Do yourself a favor and go ahead, get the brownie. The frosted ones weigh almost a pound. I’m not joking, we weighed it. I’ve had a few different brownie flavors from there and have never once been disappointed. They have a brownie lunch card type of deal, so you get a free one after so many. Second. The breakfast food. The croissant sandwiches (my fave is the bacon and brie) are so delicious and fresh. Third. The coffee. I’ve had their lattes, both hot and hold. Their coffee, both hot and cold. I’ve had their frozen drinks. Each are fantastic. They know what they’re doing. The options are amazing. Anything you can think of, they could probably do it. Highly recommend going here when you’re in the area. Support local, for sure.

Donna Marie’s Gluten Free Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1694 Penfield Rd, Rochester

Came in here for the usual, a chocolate chip cookie, but chose to get an almond butter cookie and a brownie with walnuts. The almond cookie and the brownie were absolutely awesome. I highly recommend you try the brownie, who doesn’t like a good brownie?! I’ve heard other great things about their cupcakes which I will save for another visit. Onwards to the cookie. The cookie was smaller than I hoped but what it lacked it size, it made up for in substance. Because the cookie was small, they used smaller morsels, which there were plenty of; so the cookie definitely had a nice chocolatey taste to it. The aroma was tough to pinpoint since the cookie was slightly chilled, which usually masks some of the smell. It took about four bites and cookie was all gone. I would give the cookie 4 stars, could have been a bit bigger but hey, you cant have everything. Overall though, I would give Donna’s 5 stars due to the quality of her treats. The almond cookie and the brownie was an awesome compliment to the cookie, as I’m sure everything behind the glass is!

Sushi-Rama Fitzsimons Aurora Menu with Prices 13650 E Colfax Ave, Aurora

Fun and quick sushi! Sushirama is a fun and colorful restaurant with a novelty conveyer belt that allows you to try pairs of different rolls at different price points. I’ve been to Sushirama a handful of times and overall it’s a neat hang-out spot for casual sushi. The basics: There are five different colors for plates which designate the price points of $1.50, $2, $2.50, $3, and $4. On each plate the nigiri or rolls come out with 2 pieces. The plates have chips on the bottom so that when they have been out on the conveyer belt for 90 minutes, they automatically get taken off. If a roll you would like is not out, you can just ask your server for the roll, and can also order the complete full roll if you would like as well. I recommend ordering off the menu, especially when its busier and there’s less of a selection on the belt. Sometimes waiting for that perfect roll to come by takes a little longer than expected. When you order off the menu, the rest of the pieces also go on the belt. Vegetarian and gluten-free rolls are also designated on the menu. If you’re not feeling like sushi, they also offer a couple of ramen options. I’m a huge fan of sushi with fruit, so I do tend to like the sweeter rolls over the more savory. My top favorite rolls are the pineapple express, lobster tempura mango, and spider. I have tried the ramen as well, but I honestly prefer the sushi. If you are in the mood for ramen, it’s probably best to check out Osaka Ramen which is owned by the same owner of Sushirama. Cool things: If you work across the street on the medical campus, you can get 15% off with your badge. Happy hour is Mon-Fri from 3-6pm and is 25% off all rolls. Happy Hour is a great time to go because those sushi plates can really stack up! They also have a robot that prepares the rice! (While this is cool, this does seem to contribute to looser rice in the rolls which can result in pieces falling apart). The Fitzsimons location also has its own special roll called the Fitzsimons. Sometimes they will have signs out for other special rolls or appetizers. If you’re looking for fun and casual sushi to enjoy with friends or just want to try a bunch of different rolls, this is the place for you.

The Bread Pedaler – Menu with Prices – 116 W Orange St, Lancaster

A real winner of a brunch spot in Lancaster. I really liked the looks of the menu without stepping foot in the restaurant and was not disappointed. True farm to table breakfast with some of the classics along with some unique plates. Pros: you order, take a number and the food is brought out with the check, which makes the brunch process so much easier than other restaurants. It was also not completely packed for a Saturday morning. -There is butter on the entire slice of toast. I hate places that skimp on the toast buttering. -The waffle is absolutely delectable without being heavy -BACON IS CRISPY! Why can’t other places figure out how to make crispy bacon? The Bread Peddler knows how to do it up right! Thick cut, crispy deliciousness. -Everything is organic and from local farms. Yes! If we ever find ourselves in Lancaster again we will be here for the brunch. Kudos to the owners of this place… A+

Green Olive Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 6600, 100, 3315, W Central Ave, Wichita

I travel full time for a living, and have had the luxury of having some of the absolute best Greek food in the country. Especially being in Chicago. However, Chicago has some major competition! This food is incredible to say the least. If there is one thing I’ve learned is that the best food comes out of hole in the walls, so don’t let this place scare you. This man should have a 5 star restaurant, serving his plates for way more than the humble prices he charges. He’s definitely a family man, which I admire. He had all of his children there, and hopefully one day they carry on the family business. Upon getting there we were sat down to fresh pita bread and a delicious olive oil dip made right in front of us. We got an entire pizza for our 5 year old for less than $6 that she still goes on about. I’m incredibly picky about my Gyros and especially about the tzatziki sauce. This man killed it! It was beyond words delicious. He truly cares ah ut what he makes, and puts his name on. I couldn’t suggest this place more. The food was so fresh and delicious.

Noble Roman’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 150 Kingsley Ln, Norfolk

Skip the cafeteria and just come here. Hours on Google are slightly off, they’re open until 10pm on weekdays at the time of this review. Subs are better than any fast food chain, incredibly inexpensive, pizza is very good too for the price offered! This place got me through being in the hospital for 3 days with my newborn. Staff is incredibly warm and friendly, we’re talking Chik Fil A with an extra helping of sincerity levels of awesome. Try the desserts too, apparently they’re homemade, the brownie was the best I’ve ever had, not overstating here either.

Lighthouse Cafe and Stuff – Menu with Prices – 5 Lake Carolina Way suite 140, Columbia

The atmosphere of the Lighthouse Cafe is identical to indie coffee houses in major cities. The owners and staff greet their customers and are quite simply wonderful people. Perfect for a quick coffee or tea, or a full meal (multiple sandwich options, all are terrific). I recommend their brownie as well. Check this place out, and make it part of your regular routine. Lake Carolina has been waiting for a cafe of this quality for a long time. Welcome, Lighthouse Cafe!

Arthur’s An American Bistro – Menu with Prices – 3600 SW 36th Ave, Ocala

We had an excellent Easter Brunch today at the newly renovated Arthur’s at the Ocala Hilton. We made a 1pm reservation and were seated in a quiet area within 5 or 6 minutes. There was a large variety of appetizers, salads, meats, sides and desserts on offer that were well organized and visually appealing. Among the favorite choices in our group of 4 were the tamarind lamb chops, the luscious baked ham, the white cheddar mac and cheese, the salmon, and the spiced shrimp. Several loaves of yummy breads, some plain and some with nuts or currants tempted us. The favorite dessert was a delicious chocolate brownie filled with chucks of dark chocolate and sitting on a double line of chocolate syrup. French Macarons of a variety of colors and flavors came in a close second with our group. Wait staff was attentive, carvers were helpful in getting just the correct slice of meat of your choice, and serving plates remained full. Chef Luiggi and his staff and the manager of the Hilton produced one of the best holiday brunches we have attended in a long time. We hear the regular Sunday Brunch has also improved in variety and flavor lately and the newly redecorated lobby and restaurant areas are a real asset to this hotel. We ate a delicious lunch here about 2 months ago and enjoyed all 4 of our chosen new menus items. We will be back soon.

Jam Cafe Kitsilano – Menu with Prices – 2153 W 4th Ave, Vancouver

Definitely worth the hype! Checked out Jam for a Sunday morning birthday brunch with friends and it didn’t disappoint. The service at this place is second to none as far as breakfast spots go! They really paid attention to the line and let us know the wait time as it changed. Once we were inside our server was super helpful and entertaining, always made us laugh when she was over. The menu is diverse with bennies, bowls and tons of special plates! I got the Farmer’s skillet, and my friends got chicken & waffles, and one of their bennies. We were all impressed by the food! It’s a little on the pricier end ($4 for a half avocado for example) but the quality is there for sure! Even the toast was 2 notches above standard. Would definitely recommend the Farmer’s skillet if you’re looking for a simple order that’s not overly heavy but still filling. A lot of their menu is more in the hearty food coma side, so just an option if you’re looking for something lighter! ? The only detractor from an all around glorious brunch experience for me was the line system. We waited a little over an hour to get in, which is pretty okay and I got to catch up with friends.. but with most places moving to a wait list system with phone callback, it feels kind of unnecessary. All around, would recommend you try it out! Good if you’re with a group that can pass the time together in the lineup! Thanks for a great birthday Jam Cafe!

Strawberry Alley Ale Works – Menu with Prices – 103 Strawberry Alley, Clarksville

A little over a year ago- I wrote a not so great review about Strawberry Alley. Fast forward to this morning a friend of mine sent me a text asking me where the best brunch was in Clarksville. I responded back in 20 seconds- Strawberry Alley. Obviously it was time for an update. After I wrote my review- the owner responded to me privately and publicly asking me to return. It was a very nice gesture, but I didn’t feel like returning for quite some time. It took me a few months to decide to go back. Honestly- I was takin against my will by friends during a Happy Hour. They were telling me I was crazy and the food was actually fantastic. They were right. Please don’t tell them that. I’ve been back several times since. Happy hour is M-F 4pm-6:30pm. They have great deals on food/booze. Much cheaper than having dinner here. Also- the beer selection is great! Brunch is from 10:30am-2:30pm The brunch buffet is literally genius. The brunch bar has fresh fruit, deviled eggs, pasta salad, chocolate chip cookies, and other snacks. When I do brunch, I usually skip “breakfast” which I normally eat at 7am. Please note: I have definitely been here before when they opened late. I waited outside until about 10:40 before they opened their doors a few weeks back. I was so annoyed that I almost left…. but again- this really is the best (or only) brunch option in Clarksville.

Noble Crust Of St. Petersburg – Menu with Prices – 8300 4th St N, St. Petersburg

Fantastic place for brunch. I came for brunch on a Sunday. Let me get the negative out of the way first – the parking. It sucks. Even though the lot looks like a good size, it seems to always be full! We ended up parking in the neighborhood, but we lucked out figuring out that street parking was there. We definitely weren’t planning on finding that. The good is the food and drinks. They had an orange creamsicle alcoholic beverage and it is now a favorite of mine. I wish I got two of it. I tried the snozzleberry (sp?) as my second drink and dang it was strong. I wasn’t a big fan, but that could just be my taste. Other friends tried it and liked it. I got the short rib benny and it was delicious. I also got to try my friend’s lemon ricotta pancake and I’m drooling just thinking about it. Go with the pancakes. You will not be disappointed. At this particular brunch they had a DJ that was playing a good amount of 90s hits. We loved him. If I could have 90s music played all the time I would. I really like this place. I will definitely recommend it to people looking for a fun brunch spot!

Figaroâ??s Boston – Menu with Prices – 105 Beach St, Boston

Wow, this place is amazing. All the sandwiches and wraps are great! They are large and filling and delicious. You also get a free brownie or blondie with your order (I’d recommend the blondie, which contained nuts for some extra crunch and flavor; the brownie was too chocolatey for me). The staff are really friendly and efficient; they work very well together to make all sandwiches fresh… except…. they are well aware of the popularity of their Thursday special, the buffalo chicken “Whitey” wrap, so they prepare a bunch ahead of time. My “Sonny” wrap was also chicken-based and freshly prepared, so I actually liked it a lot more than the “Whitey”. I will definitely be back!
