Have been buying Equator coffee since I discovered it at a coffee shop in Portland 8 years ago. Now that I live even further away, I always order their coffee on-line. Guatemala is our main favorite but their Espresso blend is great too, even though I typically favor a medium roast. And their decaf has great flavor for moments when the caffeine buzz gets too much. Always use an Aero Press and you should ask Greg about those… but my Italian coffee maker does well too. A great place and great people! Get yer beans here!

Ziggi’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2120 N McQueen Rd, Chandler

As a nursing mama, I choose limit my caffeine at the moment, however I still want to enjoy an iced coffee on a scorching day. I’ve discovered it’s hard to find a decaf that doesn’t taste like water. When I order a decaf here I still get that yummy coffee taste, just without the caffeine (more importantly a caffeine fuelled baby). I’ve found a lot of judgement for ordering decaf at other places but at Ziggi’s I’ve always received warm friendly service. They’ve recently switched to straw free caps for their drinks which I think is great. Their prices are comparable to other drive thru coffee places – we all know we spend too much money on coffee (and yet we still do) so I appreciate the loyalty cards. They used to do B1G1 free on Mondays, but they appear to have stopped doing that. I hope they bring it back. Oh and for those rough days they also serve 32oz.

Palace Coffee Company Menu with Prices 817 S Polk St #2, Amarillo

This roast is pretty good, gosh, I think I can even taste the honeycomb tasting notes. You can serve lite to medium roast all you want but don’t suggest I like coffee that tastes like an ashtray because I prefer dark roast. The coffee taste is ok but overall it is weak like a blonde roast. Ruta Maya in Austin makes great coffee. Their medium roast I don’t prefer but many people do. I get that the coffee perfectionists don’t want to burn the bean but you don’t have to argue the point. As purists, we at Palace Coffee prefer that you drink the coffee that we feel you should like best. And what you will like best is weak with hints of huckleberry.

Vida Coffee Co – Menu with Prices – 812 Hitt St, Columbia

Warm atmosphere, free Wi-Fi, friendly service and an interesting menu make this a great choice for meetings or studying! Fresh baked goods. A couple of unusual drinks that we enjoyed are the Smoking Gun Latte with matcha green tea and sweet heat (a ghost pepper syrup that’s spicy) and a Cinnamon Latte with half a shot of the sweet heat. If you like tea, the London Fog has Earl Grey with steamed milk and vanilla, like a latte with black tea instead of espresso. Ask about the bottomless tea and coffee special. Be aware that you’ll have to get a decaf Americano if you want decaf after 10 a.m. They don’t brew decaf after that. It’s a campus so most people want caffeine! Worth a visit!

America’s Cup Coffee Shop Menu with Prices 2627 S Harbor Loop Dr, Bellingham

I was looking for a cup of coffee in the afternoon, and was relieved to find “America’s Cup” coffee shop, in plenty of time before they were due to close–it was 3:35 pm and they were closing at 4 pm, so almost half an hour from closing. I asked the girl behind the counter for coffee, and she just shrugged and said their coffee was all out, and it was too late to make any more. She pointed over at the empty coffee maker, and it was not even a large commercial device, in was just a cheap, 10-cup Mr. Coffee style drip machine. I pleaded, “But you’re a coffee shop!!”. “Too late, I’d have to make a pot, then I’d have to clean out the coffee maker again.”, she replied. Wow, okay. (Fortunately, I headed a couple doors down to Nicki’s restaurant for good coffee good service.) A morning shortly after that, since it was the only coffee shop within literally a mile and I was stuck on the dock, I grudgingly went back there to get my morning brew. The guy behind the counter (owner, I believe) said that he was just about to make a fresh pot. Okay, great! I thought, fresh coffee, five minutes, no problem! I was stunned when within just one minute he already handed me my large coffee, and I glanced over at the Mr. Coffee, and sure enough, it was still percolating through. He had poured for me the very first amount that had dripped through, so what he handed me basically was a 16 ounce expresso which was totally undrinkable (and I like strong coffee) and he also ruined the rest of the pot since most of the flavor (and caffeine) are extracted in the first half of the extraction, leaving the second half of the pot as a weak, pale brown water with little flavor (or caffeine) for the next customer. The name implies that this is a coffee shop, but it is not. Morning or afternoon, coffee or not, it does come with an attitude.

Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 122 N Wall St, Spokane

I absolutely love tomas hammer. Their premade combos for coffee are excellent. It was the first coffee I had in Spokane and still a favorite. This town has so many amazing coffee shops. It is hard to say what is the best, but for me their espresso roast it a medium to mild roast that is as smooth as it gets. If your a dark roast fan you can’t beat Atticus. I however think this place is exactly what coffee should be.

The Bean Whole – Menu with Prices – 2155 E 2100 S, Salt Lake City

Coffee snobs… hear me out! I am a coffee snob, I admit it. When I go camping in the Colorado Rockies, I have my pop-up camper, a fishing pole by the truck and my french press on the counter. Yes… I take my french press, my ‘The Bean Whole’ coffee and grinder with me on my trip to the mountains. The Bean Whole coffee is bought by me and given as Christmas gifts to tons of people here in Colorado. It is one of my favorite things to drink that contains caffeine and keeps people around me safe. This man is my hero. He started roasting his coffee the old fashioned way (ask him, it’s a funny story) and then started experimenting. It grew into a business that he works at part time, he is open on Saturdays from 8:30am-2pm. It’s his passion, his shop is tiny, his smile is HUGE and he LOVES what he does. Go out and help a local man who knows what he’s doing and doing it right! P.S. Try his cold brew, it’ll change your life.

Bruncheonette – Menu with Prices – 1011 W Broadway Ave, Spokane

his is completely not their fault at all but they do not know how to do a French press. My thoughts on this are that if you’re going to offer this on the menu then at least know a tiny bit about coffee. The server put way too little actual coffee in the French press so no matter how long it brewing it was still light brown water. The purpose of the French press is to be able to control how long and how strong the coffee would be. This is very different from regular drip coffee. She argued with me saying that I didn’t order the correct roast. I just asked to exchange it for drip coffee then ended up getting coffee later on down the street. Again, just learn how to do a French press if you’re going to offer it in a restaurant. Lastly, and this is my biggest complaint, they force a service charge on the bill that is separate from the tip you’re expected to leave. They claim that this is for the entire staff but then you’re expected to leave a tip on top of that which you end up leaving about 30 or 35% when all is said and done. I did leave a tip on top of that but I left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed in the whole experience and a lot more broke than when I walked in. Save your money!!!!

Dart Coffee Co – Menu with Prices – 121 E Yanonali St, Santa Barbara

I adore good coffee but I’m also a sucker for adorable decor. This place really delivered on the ambience with it’s plethora of sweet pink lanterns so I’ll give it a high score based on a fresh look. Also there was a squad insta-ing their cappuccinos that looked equally attractive and fun. Before I personally go ordering “mixed drinks” at coffee shops I like to get a baseline. Is the basic coffee great? The ‘El Milagro’ from Guatemala was unfortunately not my taste. Others mIght like a medium roast at 7:00am but I was really hoping for a traditional light roast. I like a really soft smooth but fully light roast especially early in the day. Maybe next time I’ll try the Ethiopia Hambela which is a light medium if they are brewing it.

Ah’roma Specialty Coffee – Menu with Prices – 134 Harwood Ct, Lincoln

I started ordering Ah’Roma coffee from R.U. Nuts almost 2 years ago when I had to switch to decaf. I tried the Ah’Roma decaf and have not bought any other coffee for myself since then. The beans are always freshly roasted and never taste like decaf. The coffee arrives on the third business day of placing the order (I live in central Texas). The communications I have had with them have always been friendly and make me feel like I am important to them. I definitely recommend ordering and enjoying the coffees from R.U. Nuts.

Bindle Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1933 Jessup Dr, Fort Collins

Coffee was excellent. I have to do decaf and it’s pretty hard to find really good decaf. Bindle had wonderful decaf!! Thank you! Also, I didn’t see the sign for sandwiches, so I just got a biscuit. We sat out by the fire ring because it was crowded inside. I was with 4 other women. I was complaining about finding nothing with protein inside when a woman on the other side of the fire ring stood up and said she worked at Bindle’s and was on her coffee break. She told me about the sandwiches and said she could take my biscuit back in and make it into a sandwich. And, by golly, she did. It was a fabulous ham and egg sandwich. And, when I tried to give her more money for it, she told me the owner said it was on him!!! Oh yes, I’ll be back to this exceptional coffee house! Thank you, Bindle!!

SIPS + MAKER – Menu with Prices – 312 New Dorp Ln, Staten Island

I had the pleasure of working as a barista at Sips + Maker for almost 2 years. I made the decision to leave as I sought a job more aligned with my professional goals. However, the experience I gained and the connections I made at Sips will last a lifetime and I?m grateful for that. The amount of hard work and love that Estera and Will have and continue to put into the shop is reflected in everything from the design to the quality/consistency of their offerings. They have created a beautiful space for people to press pause on their busy schedule and just enjoy themselves, whether sipping a hot coffee or browsing the one-of-a-kind market. I especially admire Estera for following her dreams and showing up for the community, despite all the hardships she faces as a small-business owner. She?s doing her absolute best and for anyone to say otherwise is simply unfair. If you haven?t already, check out Sips + Maker and if you can?t decide what to order because everything sounds delicious, my personal favorite is the golden latte! ?

Belux Coffee Roasters Menu with Prices 5430 McGinnis Ferry Rd #101B, Alpharetta

Welcome to the next innovative idea with coffee- this is a boutique coffee roastery (very few exist in Atlanta and in the US in general, but with a little help in getting the word out into the streets that roasting, and that making this a workshop is possible, perhaps these will show up more in downtown areas). This has a very workshop kind of feel if you like something hands on, educational, and wanting to understand coffee better rather to the next level after enjoying them in various forms, in various cafes. This place shows you the upcoming and traditional forms of preparing coffee (cold drip that takes 8 hrs to use cold water to slowly percolate, infrared technology, drip, and other traditional methods). the coffee beans are sourced directly and selectively chosen for quality. They even roast it in a large roaster once a week if you ever want to schedule a time to come in and see a large machine roasting green beans. The business model is to educate, encourage roasting/brewing at home, and to have a more get together kind of feel for those who want a more hands on experience. Good for large groups- not a place to come and do your work in the corner with wifi like cafes Coffee 101: 1. Dimensions of coffee: I’ll let Ben and Lucy, the owners of this cafe take care of the rest of explaining this concept, but coffee comes in many layers of flavor, as most coffee brewers know. Darkness vs. concentration. Darkness measures how long and how “burnt” a cofee is roasted. A medium roast, is harder to obtain b/c it is less inherently a less robust roast than a dark roast- but skill wise, it is much easier to roast a bean too long and get a stronger burnt flavor than it is to artfully create a robust but smooth blend, which is what mediums are known for. Concentration measures how long the grounds are steeped for. 2. Brewing methods: coffee comes in different aromas- Something that is more oily and heavier tasting is likely brewed in something like infrared or a french press- without a paper strainer, the oils stay. It is amazing how if you add a drip coffee method in, you can remove such a dimension and the coffee tastes differently altogether. This is what makes a coffee workshop fun- for those who want to play around and learn how coffee is brewed and how flavors are achieved, you want to come here and fully appreciate what goes into a coffee in dimension, concentration, and darkness. This place has a cold drip that takes hours to percolate all night. there’s the infrared. Drip coffee is becoming a big thing in the US. 3. Types of coffee- they have Indonesian, Colombian, blue mountain etc. All the coffees here are highly premium in quality and price. They even sell the aparatus and educational methods so people can go home and learn how to make quality coffee.
