I was underwhelmed. I was a guest at the resort and was looking for a quick light lunch. Well, it was quick, as we arrived at Morimoto at around 2:20 and they close at 3 and reopen at 5. After ordering our dishes and they were brought to the table, the waiter asked if we wanted to order “last round” as the kitchen was closing soon. No, we didn’t, because we didn’t want to be rushed. We needed to track down the waiter when he failed to bring ginger and wasabi, never succeeded as he disappeared to do his closing work. Nope, he should have been watching his one table. I went to the sushi bar and requested it myself. The green tea was served in an attractive metal kettle which leaked as you poured the tea. The restaurant was over-air conditioned, as well, making for an uncomfortable experience. Overall, a less than impressive dine. And for a restaurant in a busy resort hotel with many meetings and conventions, why close between 3-5? Where do the staff go? Makes no sense. If a guest at the property, I’d skip this place and go to Serendipity or Palm Court for a light bite. Or go over to the Beach Club side and use the restaurant there.

1 Fresh Stir Fry Grill – Menu with Prices – 1820 N Monroe St, Tallahassee

Tried this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the food! It’s key to get a quesadilla and a stir fry bowl and split it with someone. Delish! We came close to closing time – yes- but still got there in time. We ordered our food and sat down and when my boyfriend asked politely if we could eat the food there (normally we wouldn’t ask but he saw them cleaning and was being nice), the lady said no because “they’re closed”. It was actually 4 minutes until closed and I always see that as poor customer service! As a restaurant you have a closing time but being in the restaurant industry you should know you will most likely stay open later than close when people come in late. This blonde cashier who already had a poor attitude telling us basically to leave made us so uncomfortable I’m not sure I’d like to order there again. Tips : let customers order food until close and then eat their food at your restaurant.

Da Franco & Tony – Menu with Prices – 2815 Middletown Rd, The Bronx

I can not even find the words to describe my experience here. You know how often, when you set an expectation for something, it’s usually never met? Well, the restaurant Franco e Tony has done just the opposite. It was amazing. Incredible in every way possible, from the moment you enter, you are treated like a king. In addition, you will be treated like a real guest, as if it were someone’s house. The waiter / waitresses have their own art with the way they communicate with their guests, which is impressive when viewed alone. And then there is the food, which is nothing short of perfect. The flavors of each element work together incredibly well and look fantastic as expected. I am by no means a food critic or even so much expert when it comes to food, but I would highly recommend booking a table here, if you ever have a chance, you really will not regret it. I really hope I can eat here again.

Rock ‘n Roll Sushi Menu with Prices 3431 Colonnade Pkwy Suite # 400, Birmingham

Today, I decided to use my living social voucher and try out the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean. I was told that I could sit anywhere in the restaurant. I told the waiter before taking my order that I had a living social voucher and the waiter attitude changed quickly. I told the waiter that my order was to go and he informed me that I had to do dine in with my voucher. I explained to the waiter that I did not see on the voucher were it said dine in only and he got very rude with me and said, you want me to call my manager and I said no. I looked over the menu and ordered my food. I was never asked what I wanted to drink, I was just giving water. I was never asked if, I needed anything else or if, everything was ok. I will never go back there again. The waiter acted as if, I was asking him to give me something free. I paid for this voucher and felt like I should have received ok service so, I would want to come back again.

First Watch – Durham – Menu with Prices – 5307 New Hope Commons Blvd Ext, Durham

Probably the rudest waiter i’ve ever had, middle-of-the-road food couldnt save the poor service. Decided to go somewhere new on saturday morning. Coming into the restaurant we were received with a mild greeting and seated. Our waiter arrived and asked what we’d like to drink. No welcome, no greeting, if there were specials we didnt hear about them, he did not even give his name. Because i dont have his name I can only say that he was working 7/6/19 at some point between 12 and 2 pm, was tall, overweight, slicked back short black curly hair, and he had a face like he didnt want to be there. he was waiting tables in the booth area near the windows away from the front door. We ordered our drinks, hot cocoa for them and I order sweet tea. He came back a few minutes later and wordlessly dropped them on the table, the water glasses were on the table, they remained unfilled. I was with my wife, mother-in-law and her aunt, english is not their first language and they are very picky eaters. They spent about 5 minutes reading the menu before he came by and asked what we were ordering.. I look over and my mother in law is literally in the process of squinting at the menu when he asks us this.. My wife is still reading a menu and her aunt still has one in her face as well.. no one had a menu on the table, no one was staring around idly, no one flagged him down, in no way shape or form was there a cue for him to ask us our order.. dude didnt even ask if we needed more time or had questions.. because theyre foreign theyre often uncomfortable ordering food, my wife hurries both of them through the menu while the waiter essentially stands there with an irritated demeanor and toe-taps. he takes the order and hes gone. I couldnt follow his interactions with the other tables but they didnt look like they were any better. what makes it worse is he didnt seem all that busy or rushed, while that doesnt excuse his behavior, it would have at least made it understandable. our drinks ran out and shortly after, our food arrived and it was pushed onto our table. if there was a utensil, cup, hand, cell phone, purse, whatever on the table, it was shoved out of the way by a plate.. at this point it was comical how much this dude did not give a damn. the plates were shoved onto the table and he was gone. The hot cocoa cups were empty, the water glasses still werent filled, and my tea was just ice. No drink refills, no mid-meal check up. He came by, asked if we would be splitting our check and that was the last of him. oh yeah, i forgot about the food.. Overall the food was “okay” but completely forgettable.. hell, ill only remember this place cause the waiter was a terrible host..

Super Pho Beef Noodle Soup Vietnamese Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 1630 Lancaster Dr NE, Salem

I usually don’t make/leave reviews on yelp, but tonight’s service was so horrible that I decided to leave one today. My family & i came in a little before 8:30, so 30 minutes before closing. We stood for a few minutes waiting for a server to acknowledge us. Before we were seated, she lets us know that they were closing in 30 minutes & we said that was fine. Then they took our order & 15 minutes later we got our food, only for them to get our order wrong. Somehow the waiter mixed up the egg roll number which was A4 with my food order #110. So instead of receiving any egg rolls, they brought out 4 bowls of pho. Everyone in my family had ordered something else, so it wouldn’t have made sense why we’d order more meals than actual people there. Anyways, we were told they couldn’t bring our egg rolls out because the kitchen was angry at the waiters for messing up the order. The waiter openly admits that she was at fault and because of that mistake, the kitchen did not want to make any more food. Mistakes happen all the time, so it was childish of the kitchen to act out like that. You should be upset with the waiters, not the customer. As a cook/chef, your main priority is to make sure the customers receives their food. The waiters seem to be scared of the kitchen, as they said they were mad at them. The waiter then tries to justify her action by putting the blame on us for coming close to closing time. I understand we came in late, but if you weren’t willing to serve us then why did you seat us? She proceeds to tell me they usually stop seating people around 8:30 because they don’t want to cook anymore. If that was the case then why doesn’t the restaurant just close at 8:30? This was a very unpleasant visit since not everyone at our table got food. My grandpa is a fan of eating appetizers, so it was frustrating how he wasn’t able to get all his food. He ordered the spring rolls & egg rolls & was only able to receive the spring rolls. I used to enjoy coming here, but every time I come back in they give me another reason to just stop coming. Sad to see how a restaurant could be so careless towards their customers.

Ziggle 9292gopchang korean bbq – Menu with Prices – 3500 Gwinnett Pl Dr NW suite 1, Duluth

Worst restaurant experience ever! I was there this evening with my husband and friends couple. Evening started out okay until we started to hear very loud noise coming from the kitchen. The noise was from someone throwing the steel grill pans and the noise lasted for more than five minutes. We asked a waiter why there’s so much noise and he said they were washing the dishes. Even after we asked the loud noise continued. As we paid for our dinner we asked to see a manager. The waiter named Eric comes and I asked if he was the manager and he said no and told me the manager wasn’t available. He proceeded to tell me he was the head waiter and asked what was the problem. I asked what time was the closing because We thought they were hurry to leave however it was two hours before the closing. As I was explaining the situation he walked off. Called him back and his attitude was very confrontational. Finally the manager shows up and was somewhat apologetic with the our experience. As we were having a conversation with the manager, wiaiter ERIC started to make gestures with hands raising up, pointing fingers and so on in as the manager was facing us. He even wanted to physically fight us, but backed down when my husband walked up to him. We asked the manager how he was going to discipline the Eric and didn’t said a word. Never had a worst experience at any restaurant ever. I highly NOT recommend this place and by the way food was the mediocre as well. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The Brooklyn Warehouse – Menu with Prices – 2795 Windsor St, Halifax

Went for supper last Friday, Aug 17th. I arrived first and told them 1 other person would be joining me. I did not have a reservation so they said it would be just a minute. They found me a table very promptly and took a reserved sign off table for 4 near the window and seated me there. When my date came in he sat with me and we were given menus. She asked if we would like a drink while we were waiting for our friend. I look surprised and said there are just 2 of us and then she was surprised that we weren’t waiting for someone. Obviously there was a miss communication at some point. It happens and I realise that they were busy. WELL, a rude blonde haired girl came out and and said to me “You told me there were 3 people so that is why I sat you here!!” She was aggressive and I was quite stunned. The gentleman I was with was pretty close to telling her off. Had I not been on a first date with him he would have. When I tried to defend myself she repeated the above again to me and was pretty obnoxious about it. Needless to say we were moved to a smaller table, which I had no problem with at all. I have worked in a restaurant and have many years experience in the hospitality industry. If I treated a guest like that I would have been fired. She cannot talk to people like this! Otherwise the meal was great we had the brisket which is shaped into a burger and the triple cooked chips. Drinks were good too. I have been here 3 times before and always had a good experience with all the staff. Our waiter was excellent and did a detailed explanation of the menus for us.

Cafe Bistro – Menu with Prices – 800 Spectrum Center Dr, Irvine

After shopping at the Irvine Spectrum, my daughter wanted to eat here. She wanted pizza and macaroni and cheese. I prefer Tender Greens (my fav) but my kids always come first ? The cafe was very close to closing but the hostess said we were absolutely welcome! My daughter ordered Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza (from a brick oven) and a kids macaroni and cheese for my son and her to share. I had started Day 1 of my liver detox and had to eat something clean. The host said her favorite and lightest dish was the Grilled Asparagas Farro and Frisee Salad and suggested that I add a chicken breast for the protein and order the honey sherry vinaigrette on the side. I didn’t want to eat wheat but I do like farro :O My daughter was wondering if it was Kraft Macaroni and Cheese because we have eaten at an resort that served it on their kid’s meal. Instead they called it Blue Box Macaroni and Cheese. To her luck and surprise, it was the house made creamy kind and came with a side of berries (son’s favorite) and a small drink. I am not a fan of pizza especially pepperoni but it looked so good I had to ask for one slice. Although a little greasy it had lots of chopped mushrooms and fresh basil on top. It was delicious and my two kids finished the whole order! My salad was also surprisingly delicious, the farro, grilled asparagus, french green beans, frisee, tomatoes, toasted pistachios, and aged manchego cheese worked really well together. I could see how it was the hostess ‘s favorite. Very light but filling. Our server tried to throw away our packaged baby wipes and animal crackers but he was a young man and probably didn’t have experience with children. He should also have picked up his tip after we left but we were there after closing ?

Kurry Xpress – Menu with Prices – 1501 Pine Lake Rd, Lincoln

So the hours of business operation have a break in place that starts at 2 pm… so don’t show up at 1:15 pm and expect to be served or be allowed to place an order for dine-in even though they close at 2 pm. We arrived at 1:15 pm, male server approached our table and slammed glasses of water down on the table, huffed, gave us foul looks, ignored our greeting, and walked away. Then another man who apparently works there came over to our table and asked if we were aware, they closed at 2 pm, and proceeded to tell us we would not be served and needed to leave. Geez, it was 1:15 pm and the restaurant closed at 2 pm. So the hours posted on the restaurant door do not apply, you’d better get in there an hour or more before “closing” if you desire to eat at this place. I’ve dined at the place in the past and the food is decent, although the customer service is so poor, I will not return again. With 25+ years of restaurant and franchise management on my resume, if the restaurant I’m operating closes at midnight and a customer walks in at 12 am, I serve them just the same as if they walked in at opening hour, that’s called good business ethics and treating your customer with respect, after all customers are job security.

Aristo Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3768 W 242nd St, Torrance

We decided to give this place a try for 2 reasons: it has some really great reviews and we wanted to give a new place a shot. Now I do have to say that the food was pretty tasty, however, customer service ultimately is the reason for my poor review. Soon after walking in and ordering our food (literally after the server left from taking our order), the manager/owner (not quite sure which she was) came over to our table and ask “How do you plan to pay?” Now this shocked both my husband and I, as we weren’t sure whether she was insinuating that we did not have money or could not afford to pay for the food that we had ordered. Upon seeing the shock on our faces, she proceeded to let us know that they would be closing soon, but she was going to close out the register now and needed the food to be paid for (mind you, this is a dine in facility with a server). Then she proceeded to ask us twice whether we would be using cash or credit. We probably should have walked out then, but our daughter was enjoying the complimentary hummus and was excited to try this new place, therefore, we decided to stay. The more we thought about it, the more it bothered us. If your business is going to be closing soon and you need to “close out the register” then you should make customers aware upon walking into the business. We will definitely not be visiting this restaurant again. This place needs some customer service training put into place, considering that at times, this is what either brings back customers or results in receiving 2 star or 5 star reviews.

Boca Raton Resort and Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort Menu with Prices 501 E Camino Real, Boca Raton

The Palm Court is one of the centralized locations in the main building of the Waldorf Astoria Boca Raton Resort. It would be hard for you to miss it! It’s a lovely place to sit and have a wine or in our case a light and hopefully less pricey meal on property. The Bar Luna is adjacent and services the Palm Court.. At first our waitress was on point; friendly; helpful; never letting our waters run dry. Our pizzas were smaller than we expected for the price but they were very good and with a glass of wine and salad to share this was a perfect meal. It still was $85 and that was one beer and a glass of chianti! Our waitress just started getting slower and slower with a return to our table and when she finally returned , I asked about desserts. She literally told me to go to Serendipity, the place next door , OR Lucca , the full service Italian restaurant on property. I asked her about the stuffed donuts I had seen in another Yelp review and she said those were at either place. Wow. As she walked away , I grabbed a menu from another table and asked another waitress for a dessert menu.. she swiftly returned and I ordered the donuts , ( it’s my husband’s bday and I thot it would be fun to treat him!) .. THEN our original waitress returns and says she is glad we got the dessert menu. No. That was a fib:) But, nice try. The donuts were worth the splurge and they did end up comping them .. But seriously, just because you are ready to not have customers any longer .. this happens to be a five star resort and lying about a dessert menu made this a 3 star review and a smaller tip too. It is a happening place ! Simple menu and yes.. it’s spends for simple food.. that’s what you get when a guest at the Waldorf!

Krauserâ??s – Menu with Prices – 214 Market St, Newark

This place is always an option for a quick bite to eat. Burgers are pretty good. The novelty sauce is amazing. My take-out experience is always seamless. However, I decided to dine-in on a Friday night. I will say it was about an hour and a half before closing. Maybe that contributed to me having to get up, after 15 minutes of sitting, to grab someone to serve our table. There was a large party of about 10 who consumed two of the hightop tables that could have possibly thrown her into the weeds, however, the service was horrible and the server was noticing tipsy/drunk. Other than that, there were two or three other tables besides ours and a few people sitting at the bar. Totally manageable if you are sober. I’m all for a good time, but at 5 months pregnant, I really just want my food in a timely manner. She kept apologizing, which is nice but proper service would have been better. In the end, she did not make my boyfriend pay for his beer that he waited a half hour for and only received because he got up to ask someone else (a person was behind the bar but not really taking orders.). So we shouldn’t have even been charged for it nor should it have even been mentioned but she said she didn’t charge because she “felt bad”. Anywho, music was great. Basketball games were on but I will stick to calling in my order and picking it up from here on out. The dine-in service was horrible.
