Most cigar lounges feel like a record should scratch when a woman walks inside. Pleasantly, that was not my experience in any way at The Boardroom. Instead of giving off the “Who’s this broad invading my secret stogie lair?” vibe, the men posted up at the rail gave cheerful hellos and went right back to their Kobe versus Jordan argument. Owner B.P. Battles came around the bar and immediately stuck his hand out to welcome my group and introduce himself. The layout of the bar is shotgun style, with a walk-in humidor dividing the room. My crew posted up on the leather couches and club chairs in the quieter front lounge, and Battles set me up with a cigar from a different brand than I would normally try. He also whipped up expert Old Fashioneds and Side Cars for my guests, plus a Balvenie Doublewood single malt scotch for me. As a good host does, he wandered back to check up on a drink refresh or a relight and to ensure we were having a good time – though he was never intrusive. The drinks are pricey, but the service, quality, and attention to detail offset the cost. Complete with a massive flat screen, the beautiful patio surrounding the rear entrance of the bar was impossible to miss if you park in their backlot off Allen Ave. With the thermometer pegging close to 100 degrees outside, there wasn’t a chance of me smoking al fresco, but the outdoor environs were worth noting for when the sun goes down.

Downtown Cigar BAR – Menu with Prices – 631 S Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale

My first time at Downtown Cigar Bar and it will NOT be the last! This is an outstanding establishment. The service , the quality, the selection and the space are phenomenal to say the least! Jess was serving me and she did a job that far exceeded my expectations. Before I came in I parked in the breezeway which is not the parking for the store but I had my dog and wanted to check if they allowed dogs. To my satisfaction my dog was well behaved enough to be a customer. Jess told me where to park, I move to the parking in the back of the store and came in to pick my cigar. The very knowledgeable Jess helped me pick out a gem of a cigar and I sat down for the next few hours to great company and a few drinks. I highly recommend stopping by if you are a cigar enthusiast.

Habano Cigar Club – Menu with Prices – 1808 S Young Cir, Hollywood

While it’s extremely rare for me to write an on-line review for ANY business, having been a regular customer of Habano BarCafé since moving to South Florida, it was time. From where I live (in another town) to the front doors of Habano BarCafé, there are 2 cigar bars I pass to get here each time, including one right across the street from my home. The first thing you’ll notice as you approach Habano BarCafé is the beautiful outdoor seating with umbrellas then as you walk in, are the beautiful cigar humidors and the number of brand new big screen HDTV’s for such a quaint cigar bar. Be prepared to receive a very warm welcome from the new owners Miguel and David and great conversation as they sit with you enjoying your favorite stogie. You get a real sense that these guys really appreciate your business! So If you are looking for a class-one cigar lounge serving a complete line of the best cigar brands, beer, wine, Cuban coffee (my favorite) and more, as well as the brotherhood of cigar aficionados, then stop in at Habano’s. If you do…you’ll be back! I’ll see you at Habano’s BarCafe,

Midtown Coffee House – Menu with Prices – 1342 13th St, Columbus

My wife and I have been here several times in the past and felt it was some of the best quality coffee in town. Unfortunately I ordered a drink on a slow day and after 30 minutes and finishing our food I had still not got my coffee. When I went up and asked if my OIR over coffee was ready they handed it to me and said that it might be cold. It was in fact room temperature by that time. They offered to remake it however I had to go and she looked at me blankly and without apology. I asked if I could at least get a regular cup of coffee and she poured me a cup of drip coffee and walked away with no interest in making it right. I am disappointed because the price difference was twice as much but more importantly it was a complete lack of caring, attention to detail and customer service on a slow business day. I would not recommend this coffee house again. I hope they fix the customer service…

Cutters Cigar & Spirits Menu with Prices 4915 Windward Pkwy, Alpharetta

This cigar bar is really nice. I only gave it three stars because I felt like the bartender could have been a lot nicer to my friend and I. I ordered the old fashion and it was really good, my friend was looking for a nice sweet drink and the bartender told her that they did not have any sweet drinks. The second bartender who was singing at the time came over and made a sex on the beach for someone else. When my friend asked her what it was she told her it was a sex on the beach and that she could make her one as well. So the first bartender told us a lie. She was also really snotty by letting us know we had to purchase a cigar if we were going to sit at the bar and order a drink. Which I think is common sense if I came to a cigar bar then I definitely came to smoke a cigar. Needless to say they had a nice atmosphere nice older crowd and great music I just did not like the service that my friend and I received. The cigars were really nice though I think I had a caramel mocha flavored one.

Casa de Montecristo Menu with Prices 3801 N Capital of Texas Hwy Suite A100, Austin

This business is a cigar shop with my favorite type of cigars the Trinidad Santiago made in the Dominican best tobacco amazing taste. A flare of Cuban type cigar blended by Rafeal Nodal a master cigar maker. This Case De montecristo has high quality cigars located at Davenport Village shopping center. For a limited time they do carry Arturo Fuentes Opus X also the ultimate Dominican cigar handmade and rolled with expertise. If you desire the finest cigars and want to impress your friends do take the time to visit this Cigar shop equipped with everything you need for your wonderful smoking experiance. The entrance is quit nice clean and seriously perfect to enjoy a good cigar with lounge area. I was truly impressed since I been to Lakeway area to experiance’a smoking bar there but this is way and beyond the norm. Highly recommend a well thought of cigar establishment clean not smoky to enjoy just your cigar and not inhale everyone’s cigars around you. Glad I found a place to enjoy friends company. The staff here are friendly very knowledgeble with any questions you have. One negative is a new business next door is All Star Burgers which you can’t smoke in there patio. Wondering why a burger place would be next door to a cigar shop ……strange but it is what it is. I will return and buy more cigars.

Shaker Cigar – Menu with Prices – 3581 Lee Rd, Cleveland

Shaker Cigar is everything you could expect in a cigar lounge. A very good selection of sticks: from Arturo Fuente to My Father’s Cigar and a lot in between. The proprietor was knowledgeable and friendly, and the clientele was welcoming. The lounge itself was even better than the pictures: several TV’s and good jazz playing in the background. Over-stuffed leather seating, and a relaxed atmosphere. If you are in central Cleveland, take time to stop by and smoke a stogie like it should be: in a comfortable atmosphere where you fell welcome! I fully recommend Shaker Cigar!

Macabi Cigars Las Olas – Menu with Prices – 1219 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale

Macabi Havana Lounge is a total classic. It’s a 26 year+ old gentlemen’s cigar and drinking lounge having a certain pureness of heritage for a cigar lounge along with a comfortable laid back atmosphere about it. There are a lot of newer such places generally now referenced as “Mancaves,” but in comparison to Macabi, they just don’t have it. They have a copycat, not the real thing feel about them in comparison. Now if you are a cigar aficionado, Macabi has more cigars and higher quality cigars than any other place I’ve seen in the area. Then, with the gentlemen bartender and server who has 20 years of experience here under his belt, an invaluable source of information and good guidance in making your cigar selection. As for liquor, Wow! I wanted a good quality rum and was amazed to find them sold by the shot glass with prices ranging on up to $40/shot. Being a “pobre hombre” I merely went for a $10 shot on ice with a mere splash or thimble of coke, which is coke as in Coca Cola. The rum turned out to be a special Captain Morgan Reserve, one that I have never seen nor even heard about before, and let me tell you, the suggestion of my bartender that it was a great tasting rum prove correct in every respect. So, as being the best of the cigar/bar/lounges it pleases me to be able to go Five Yelp Stars on Macabi Havana Lounge.

Casa Petrides Tobaccos – Menu with Prices – 735 W Dove Ave, McAllen

I’ve been to many cigar shops around the country and have had my share of cigars. Not having any great expectations for this border town in terms of cigars, I was blown away by the selection of cigars at Casa Petrides Tabaccos! The prices are moderate and comparable to any other cigar shop that I’ve been to. Life is too short to smoke cheap cigars anyway! From the basic cigar selection, to the premium, super premium and boutique selections, the Casa Petrides selection is outstanding! Additionally, they have a lounge and a bar where you can partake in a drink of your choice to pair with your cigar purchase. What more can you ask for? So, for all you cigar aficionados, if you happen to wander into McAllen, TX and have a hankering for a good cigar, make a “B-line” to Casa Petrides for a good smoke. Be prepared to spend some time in the humidor, because the selection is grand!

Tokyo Wako Ontario – Menu with Prices – 4480 E Ontario Mills Pkwy, Ontario

Came here for lunch with my boyfriend and they had set us with a party that was already sitting at the table, from the get go you knew who was the priority for the chef in front of us. As soon as he had gotten to making the fried rice I had even mentioned to my boyfriend that i felt excluded. For the food being as pricey as it is (3.50 for a cup of soda for example) it was a lack luster meal although my boyfriends steak was good. The waitress was attentive and cleaned the table so fast we never had clutter. If you read this I hope you don’t have to share the tip i gave you ? If you want to go to a place like this id recommend going to a different one unless you dont care food to cost quality. ~Hope you enjoyed the 1.50 in change as a tip Sir I gave about as much attention to your tip as you did to us ?

The Levee Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 520 E Kings Hwy, Shreveport

Drinks Only! Drinks = Good Food = Poor Service = Friendly but needs training We were very excited to check this place out. It has a very refreshing vibe for Shreveport with an incredibly comfortable feel. Unfortunately, it just isn’t ready for the big stage yet. The Drinks are excellent. Well composed and well executed. The food on the other hand did not meet expectations. $14 Dollar cheese plate was good, but not $14 worth of food at all. The $26 NY steak tasted wonderful, but it was cooked well done, we ordered Med-rare and was definitely over priced. Service was very friendly, but needs training and a bit more attention to detail and prioritization. Management was receptive to our feedback and pulled the steak from our bill. Give this place a few months and maybe try again. Until then, go for drinks.

Cordova Cigars – Menu with Prices – 6050 N 9th Ave, Pensacola

After visiting many cigar shops all over the US and the world I can say with confidence that this cigar shop is one of the best! Wonderful selection as well as a phenomenal atmosphere for all “styles” of smokers. Wanna sit outside? You can. Want to feel like your on your back porch at the house under some shade trees? You can. Dominos? Yes relaxing TV room? Yes and even a sitting area for just great conversation and talk about anything you want. The humidor is wonderfully cared for and full of cigars from all around. I mean the variety really makes this shop a must visit alone. Also enjoy a beer or wine as you enjoy the game on tv, dominos, chess, or just as you smoke your cigar. Overall this is what a cigar shop should be. Well done Cordova!

Ammo Box Cafe – Menu with Prices – 15350 Shepard St Suite 1, Omaha

On our way back home from out of town we found ourselves with the options of a low rated Mexican place, fast food, or Ammo Box Cafe. Fortunately for us, we chose Ammo Box. Initially I was certain I was leaving 4 stars because while the service and food were both great, dang is it expensive! $10 for a sandwich that doesn’t even include chips or a drink?! Is it better than Subway? Yes. But is it THAT much better? I posted a picture of my receipt with the caption “Expensive” before I left and the manager (owner?) was over within minutes to talk to me about it. He wanted to make sure everything was alright and get the reasoning behind my opinion. I told him what I posted above. He went on to explain that he purchases organic and hormone free ingredients and that because higher quality ingredients cost more, he has to pass some of that cost on to the consumer. Makes sense. This is a small business, not a corporation that orders in bulk or can absorb extra expenses. So yeah, after I thought about it, this place is on par with higher quality delis (price and quality-wise) and above your average chain sandwich shop. Not to mention, A: I appreciate someone with the chutzpah to call me out when I’m maybe jumping the gun (pun intended) and B: someone who takes pride in their business and wants to address potential issues quickly. I think the Italian was the overall favorite but the Jerk Rib had great flavor with a bit of kick that was really nice. Sauce on the wings had great flavor too. Next time we find ourselves in the area we’ll certainly stop back in and grab another bite!
