Visiting Bellingham for the first time and I’m fascinated how awesome this city is. They have so many breweries and restaurants in their downtown area. After I finish my tourist places and etc, it’s time to grab an ice cold beer! This was the first brewery I stopped by. It’s a great spot, I decided to give them a try. Good vibe when I walk in. They are not really busy nor slow, so it was a decent crowd. I was really surprised by how cheap the drinks are over here in Bellingham!!! Like 16oz for like $4-5. What could go wrong with that price? I forgot the drink that I had but it was refreshing taste, there was a bit of lemon to it too. I do like light beer. Service is friendly and is very welcoming for the visitor. Explaining their history and etc. I will definitely head back there again when I’m in town. I do have to mention is that the washroom is dark haha. I’m never a fan of dark and gloomy places. Should light the washroom up mang!!!

The Backlot – Menu with Prices – 209 10 Ave SW, Calgary

Lemme take you to a gay bar! Lol. Im not usually the type that would go to a gay bar, but I was visiting the city, so I just figured why not! In Calgary, you have like… 2(?) clubs/bars, and from what I’ve gathered, one is a sketchier club. So I decided I would go out on a limb and check out The Backlot. The entryway was a bit sketchy as it was kind of on the side of the building and in a dark alley. The establishment was nice overall, dimly light as most bars are, with quite friendly and welcoming bartenders. Got a drink with a friend and decided to sit in the corner of the patio to chat. People came and left, but it was quiet enough in the corner to carry a conversation without being heard by everyone. They do have an upstairs area that had a performer that night, but we never actually went up to take a look. The only other odd part for me was the open washroom where the urinals were. No door to get to the area, which is quite scary knowing someone could just come up behind and … I would prefer a door that leads into a washroom. A nice quieter bar to grab a drink with a friend(s) that is gay/straight friendly, but not exactly the ‘party’ place. Felt like it was an older crowd that was in attendance and not quite the place for a young man out on the town! Maybe head to that sketchy club? Lol

MuCha Tea Moment – Menu with Prices – 922 E Apache Blvd STE 106, Tempe

Overall: This is an interesting place to check out. Drinks: Great flavor and refreshing. Price: Price could be lower for the amount they serve. Cons: Puts too much ice for a small cut. Hopefully they will make some adjustment to that. Details: This place has carbonated flavored drinks. The names of their drinks sounds very delightful. I ordered the mango and strawberry flavor soda. My friend ordered the passion fruit one. These were suppose be the bubbly carbonated drinks. When I got my drink, my strawberry drink didn’t seems to have any carbonation in it. Just seems like a flavored tea. However, the mango one did have carbonation. So it seems inconsistent. But they taste great. It seems light. I forgot to ask if the sugar and ice could be decreased but they also didn’t ask me. So I’m not sure if that’s adjustable. We also did provided them the feedback that there was too much ice. Their response was that it was to create the gradient of color. But I would honestly would want more of what I’m drinking than caring more about the appearance of my drink. Even though I know most places today want the Instagram photogenic picture of their product. However, the drink taste fine with regular sugar.

Moderne Burger – Menu with Prices – 865 W Broadway, Vancouver

Food was so delicious, service was outstanding and prices were perfectly reasonable. I would give it 5 stars if it wasnâ??t for the location. Being in the same space with Tim Hortonâ??s seriously took away from their atmosphere. Timâ??s brings a different type of clientele and the location has many homeless. I am currently 9months pregnant and needed the washroom which was on the Timâ??s side. The washroom was absolutely disgusting and toilet was full of doodie and could not be used. Despite the sign on the door that assured their customers that cleanliness was important to them, the Timâ??s staff would not give me access to the toilets upstairs nor would they take care to clean the washroom available and said there was nothing they could do. The man at Moderne Burger quickly assisted me to access the other washrooms upstairs that were locked so as to avoid the homeless using them. His friendly service at the counter when we ordered and beyond was so sweet and welcoming. This place is too good to be in this location.

GRUFF Brewing Co. Menu with Prices 104 E Maple St #101, Bellingham

What a great addition to the Bellingham craft brewery scene. Not being from Bellingham, the Gruff tap room was a little more challenging to locate…thank goodness they have signs up along Railroad Ave and Maple St directing you to the front door. The tap room is a nice open space with long tables and benches and plenty of natural light. The patio is quite large with quite a few picnic tables and a few fire pits…would imagine it could easily seat 100. And l like that they had board games available. I sampled two of their IPAs: Sim Mo and EC and both were quite good. The bartender was quite pleasant and we liked the feel/atmosphere of the space/room. It was a positive beer experience and happy to recommend Gruff…well worth the effort to locate it.

Solo Caffè – Menu with Prices – Inside the Pensacola Library, 239 N Spring St, Pensacola

The lemon bites have a really nice, strong lemon flavor though the frosting is a bit on the sugary side for my taste. The lavender latte is pretty cool since I’ve never seen that flavor offered anywhere else before, and it has a light flavor that you can taste better if you don’t drink it immediately after consuming something else (lesson learned from personal experience).

Tim Hortons – Menu with Prices – 200 Burrard St, Vancouver

Save yourself the time, go some place else. The service is ALWAYS terrible, no care for customer service. Additionally, the washrooms are another story. The employees keep the family washroom locked for their own use and continue to inform customers that it is “out of service” even when the lines are ridiculous. On busy days, THEY COMPLETELY IGNORE THE FACT THEY EVEN HAVE A WASHROOM. When I went to inform an employee to check in on the washroom, she couldn’t seem to care less. She took her sweet time, went into the washroom to replace the toilet paper, IGNORED the disgusting condition of the washroom (attached below), and went on to do her work. At last, I waited to inform the manager and was questioned by another employee who told me “it is a busy day, we don’t have the time” while rolling her eyes at me. HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES OR CHANGE THE LOCATION. Why is it a surprise you are always busy?? You are in the middle of a tourist area, stop embarrassing the rest of the city and company. When I FINALLY got a hold of her, the manager looked at the same picture I attach to this post and said “wow”, and continued to do her work. I’ve been here numerous times and it’s always the same. Save yourself the hassle, there’s a Starbucks in the food court.

Hokkai Ramen & Sushi Menu with Prices 4277 Meridian St #C-102, Bellingham

If you’re ever debating where to go in Bellingham for ramen (or really any Japanese food) stop the debate right now, because Hokkai is THE SPOT. Service? Phenomenal, even when they’re busy. Food comes out so fast and everyone who works here is kind and friendly! Atmosphere? Cozy enough to feel homey, roomy enough that you’re not bumping into the people at the next table over. I love the decorations and beautiful wood! And the food. The food!!! It’s delicious and such a good value! What really blows me away is the sushi, the quality of fish for that price?? Amazing. But everything I’ve tried, from ramen to curry, has always been delicious. Being from Hawaii, I grew up with a lot of Japanese food and ramen is one of my favorite meals. Hokkai is the only place in Bellingham that I trust and recommend to everyone I know.

Vintage Fork – Rutherford House – Menu with Prices – 11153 Saskatchewan Dr NW, Edmonton

What a wonderful experience in this city. The ambiance is so comfortable and welcoming. I came here for lunch with my aunt. She is very picky about food and she LOVED it!!! The salad was perfectly light and refreshing. The pastry on the pot pie was to die for good. You could taste the quality and love. My latte was like a piece of art and complimented the hazelnut pastry desert perfectly. My aunt had the brownie and it was amazing. Compared with the other restaurants in the city that are overly renovated and all look the same, coming here is peaceful, unique, aesthetically pleasing, personable service and high quality at a very reasonable price point.

Aero Plains Brewing – Menu with Prices – 117 N Handley St, Wichita

I walked into a Wichita beer store to find Aero Plains beer cans available for sale. I knew I had to check out the brewery after looking at their flavors and beer flavors. Aero Plains is a lovely little brewery with a good variety of dark and light beers to choose from. The establishment is clean and has enough good seating to make it a good place to meet up. PROS: -The airplane theme makes me SO happy! The Aero Plains logo is adorable, the airplane decor is really eye-catching, and the plane theme seems to fit in pretty well with the Wichita scene in general. I’m an aviation enthuasist, and I was a happy camper here. -The flight boards are tiny little airplanes. The flight boards have seen some better days in their lifetimes, but they’re still adorably adorable. The staff writes the ID number of each beer on the board next to each flight glass, so you can reference the beer with one of the beer paper listings or the giant beer board on the wall. -There’s a decent amount of things to do with your friends. There are darts, outdoor and indoor seating, a foosball table, board games you can borrow, and more. 4-person tables aren’t particularly huge for gaming purposes, but if they’re slow, two tables could be easily pushed together for larger board games and groups. -Lots of art from local artists is posted around the place. Some of it is airplane-themed, but some of it isn’t. Aero Plains Brewing definitely has done a good job with decorating the place. It has a bit of an industrial, friendly open feel to it. -The staff at the front table was friendly. They were tolerant with me taking too long to order, and they were happy to answer questions. They weren’t overly talkative to us, but they did greet some customers by name, so it seems they likely know some of the repeat customers. Staff got through the line of customers relatively quickly. CONS: -The beers aren’t anything super-duper amazing. They have good light beers – which taste a bit like indescript light beers – and they have good dark beers – which taste a bit like indescript dark beers. Nothing, at least of their current menu, stands out as amazingly “unique”. The beers are good – don’t get me wrong. You’ll probably come away with a favorite out of their options. But there isn’t anything super unique on their list to make you go “woah. I’ve never had anything like this before!” During our tastings, a common statement from the group was “Hmm, This reminds me of [beer name here]…..”. -I’m meh on the table chairs. Their wood isn’t the most comfortable, and they cut into my thighs annoyingly after awhile. It’d be hard to sit in these chairs for long time periods if I was staying here for awhile with friends.

Restoration Pizza Menu with Prices 5161 Lang Ave NE Suite A, Albuquerque

Maybe I’m a pizza snob. IDK. I mean, it’s possible. First off, the quality of the ingredients on our pizza was stellar. That wasn’t my issue. We ordered pretzel bites to start, and those were amazing. The beer cheese was the perfect compliment- flavorful with just a little spice to it. We finally settled on a supreme pizza. Veggies. Meat. Cheese. Sauce. What could go wrong? Sigh. This is where my potential snobbiness comes in. Those veggies were basically raw ya’ll. Like, the mushrooms and bell peppers especially were not even kinda cooked. I’m not sure if they forgot them and added them later or what but… no. The cheese was plentiful and deliciously melty. But… there was no sauce to speak of. You couldn’t taste it or see it… yet the pizza was too soggy to pick up as a slice. I still don’t understand. The service was also odd. You seat yourself, which is cool… but we never dealt with the same person twice. One girl got my drink, someone else brought the hub’s beer, yet another girl brought us the pretzel bites, some other guy brought the pizza, and yet a different girl cashed us out. No one asked how our food was because I 100% would have asked for some sauce on the side ya’ll. IDK. I might try it again. It’s def not on my list of places I’d think of when craving pizza

Voyager Espresso – Menu with Prices – 110 William St Lower Level, New York

Best Americano in the financial district hands down, no debate, no question, don’t @ me. I’ve worked in the area for years, been to every coffee shop that has more than 3 stars on Yelp, and after discovering Voyager I doubt I’ll ever return elsewhere and I’m of the opinion that none of them deserve to be within 1 star of this place. They are the definition of above and beyond, the opposite of a tourist trap. From the second you walk in you’re greeted by an outgoing and friendly staff member, not a dejected college student ignoring you while ranting to another customer about Bernie Sanders then taking more than five minutes to make an Americano when you’re the only customer there (true story). The first day I went, there were free samples of the banana & cinnamon nutella toast which were the kind of thing a basic white girl would describe as “like crack.” The Americano was offered in 3 options, light, medium, or dark, and it was refreshing to see that level of customization offered when you’re paying a premium, something I’ve never seen offered elsewhere nearby. I went with medium. The free toast sample and friendly atmosphere would mean nothing if the drink itself wasn’t perfection, which it was! I can’t say if I’ve ever had such a rich and smooth Americano with absolutely no bitterness or acidic flavor. I’m of the opinion that, unless you’re balling out of control in which case go for it, a nice coffee shop like this should be a once a week treat due to the price. Price-wise, you’d be delusional to expect a cheap coffee drink at any sort of premium shop in NYC, but to my shock their 12oz. Americano cost less than inferior 8oz. Americano’s at other places in the area which will remain nameless. This place is seriously the best kept secret of FiDi in terms of coffee, and I’m so glad I found it and can give it yet another well-deserved 5 star review!
