Origami offers Japanese, Korean and Sushi. This is great for us because I tend to crave sushi more often than my husband. When we come here, he sometimes orders off the other parts of the menu. The location, in the midst of a strip mall might not seem very impressive at first but don’t be fooled. The space has been made into a very nice dining environment, starting with the charming fountain out front. Inside the space has been divided into separate dining areas, with a sushi bar and drink bar on each side of the front and a cleverly designed dining room in back, which has an interior circular wall and high-back booths that provide diners with privacy. I’ve always heard great things about the drinks and decided to indulge this weekend. The Key Lime Martini tasted exactly like I imagined from the description and was delicious. I would definitely order this again. The sushi has always been fresh and excellent tasting. I tend to get simpler rolls and sushi here, partly because the taste is exactly what I want without too many embellishments. My husband ordered NY Strip Teriyaki this time and it looked and smelled amazing. The beef was sliced in larger thin strips (rather than cubes you sometimes receive) and cooked to the perfect Medium. He said he would definitely get this again. For dessert we had the Apple Spring Rolls with Cinnamon Ice Cream. The wrap for the spring rolls was thin and crisp and the apples the perfect texture and taste. The ice cream was a great accompaniment and it all disappeared fast.

Daisuki Ramen – Menu with Prices – 27473 Ynez Rd STE 1C, Temecula

I got so excited when I found this on Yelp. I decided to try the Pho Ga and Spring Rolls and my husband has the California Rolls even though it seemed questionable that they had so many options on the menu. I should have stuck with the Ramen since the restaurant’s name has the word Ramen it in but I wanted something light. When it was delivered it was on time but the soup was cold which lead me to believe it probably wasn’t too freshly made. Once I ate it, the noodles were chewy and undercooked. The Spring Rolls were sloppily made (I grew up making Spring Rolls with my family so I was not impressed). My husband thought the CA Rolls were nothing special, that they’re better at Albertsons or Trader Joe’s for the price. We tried it, it wasn’t bad but nothing tasted fresh or authentic. I might try the Ramen but overall we’re not impressed.

Ichiban Sushi – Menu with Prices – 1812 Cliff Dr, Santa Barbara

I don’t want to start off by saying I had a terrible experience, as I really did enjoy the environment that this restaurant presents. It is a cozy sushi bar and restaurant nestled in the Mesa shopping strip. It is usually very festive with the holidays (they had decorated the area really nicely for Valentine’s day when I went), and it feels like a nice local place to grab sushi. But.. I just have to say the sushi was just not fresh. There are not a lot of places to compare to in terms of sushi served in Santa Barbara, but with my experience of sushi, this just felt disappointing. My friend and I both had the rainbow rolls (what we tend to order at sushi restaurants we haven’t been to before just to get a taste of a variety of the fish they have to offer), and the shrimp was probably the most disappointing. The salmon also did not tasting fresh as well.. itdid not effect me the next day, but my friend had to stay home from work because he was certain the fish had affected him. I’m not necessarily saying this is a terrible establishment, I think it’s worth at least trying, but I personally was not that impressed with the sushi served.

Tran’s Seafood – Menu with Prices – 3346 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Fort Myers

Don’t let the name fool you because this is NOT a seafood restaurant, it’s an awesome tiny Vietnamese restaurant and supermarket! We have been there several times and so far we have had the Pho, egg rolls, spring rolls and bahn mi. The egg rolls and spring rolls are the perfect pairing because the hot crunchiness of the egg rolls are an excellent companion to the cold, crisp freshness of the spring rolls. The bahn mi is very tasty but the Pho is where it’s at. The broth has so many layers of flavor that you can tell it’s the real deal and make sure you come hungry because the bowls are huge! We always get the Pho Dac Biet (Special Beef Pho) because we love everything in our Pho but you can order it any way you want it if you’re scared of tendon or tripe. But don’t be afraid because it’s all delicious!

Asiana Hyde Park Thai & Sushi – Menu with Prices – 3922 Edwards Rd, Cincinnati

Tried this place for the first time. They have limited parking in the back but you may need to park across the street in the lot. Small store front restaurant with small seating space. Also a small sushi bar with a few seats. We were seated promptly and the place was crowded. The owners are very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the spring rolls which were really good. The crunch was perfect, flavor on point, served with a delicate sauce. Also, not greasy at all. We then added their special sushi roll that was out of this world. Plated perfectly and you can tell the sushi chef had a lot of passion for his work. On to the entrees. Drunken noodle, pad see-ew and Thai basil. We ordered all with a 6 level spice and it was spicy and perfect for us. All dishes were outstanding and we had leftovers for lunch next day. They talked us in to trying the mango sticky rice to share. So good and fresh you need to get it. We never had it before and it was very good. We didn’t bring wine with us but it is a BYOB which is another great plus! The owners are personable and really care about your experience. They want you to come back. Support this place for all of the great reasons noted.

Marui Sushi – Menu with Prices – 2347 California Ave #101, Corona

Found a 5 star gem today! As a resident of Corona and only living here for the past 2 years, I was pleasantly surprised to find a perfect sushi Japanese restaurant that’s local to the community You’ll notice that they offer a variety of sushi rolls which if your like me, no two sushi places are the same. You can find yourself eating at a sushi place where he rolls are just eh or perhaps you’ll find yourself at a all you can eat where you’ll notice not much creativity or taste is put into your roll or you’ll find yourself here where you’ll notice the sushi chefs (Richard is our favorite) will spend a bit of time creating the perfect roll. I love the Tuna side of sushi so for me finding a place that offers more rolls on the tuna side is important. Here you’ll find just that and more. Reasonable with price and most importantly your going to notice that one of the reasons this place is popular is because not only do they have FRESH sushi, they make it a point to make you feel like your business matters and the appreciation that comes with being a customer Great experience tonight and Grace along with Sunny all were amazing hosts Thank you

Sushi House – Menu with Prices – 901 Sunrise Ave # A2, Roseville

Went to Sushi House for the first time for my lunch break and introduced by one of my coworkers, and I’m glad brought me here. It’s a little hidden inside a small plaza and there aren’t a lot of available seating so don’t expect to bring a big party. The service was quick and food came out fast and still tastes fresh and delicious. The sushi rolls we ordered had the right balance of rice and sauce and wasn’t too heavy. Just the perfect amount. The one thing I did notice about the sushi rolls was that the rice was very soft which made it even better. They also do have some rolls that are 50% off! The tonkatsu ramen was also good. I liked how the tonkatsu pieces they gave us were thick slices and not paper thin like most ramen houses. I’d say it was a successful first time there. Definitely recommend trying it out.

AYCE Sushi SCM – Menu with Prices – 3392 S Bristol St, Santa Ana

Brand new sushi joint that just opened up in the South Coast area! That obviously meant that I had to check it out as a fan of AYCE sushi. There was hardly a wait time when I went as it recently opened and not a lot of people know about it. The price is a little more expensive compared to other places, but I guess it’s worth it if you live in the area. I think dinner was about $29 for the weekend and if you wanted to have access to sashimi then it would be about $34. The menu itself is decent as you can choose from appetizers, rolls, sushi, and hand rolls. I tried a bunch of different items and the highlights are as follows: Beef gyoza: super crispy and has a juicy and flavorful inside Crawfish roll: pretty tasty and you get a good amount of crawfish on top of your rolls Salmon sushi: you get a good amount of salmon and not too much rice. The salmon itself didn’t taste fishy, but it didn’t have much of a taste as well. I wish they had options like seared, garlic, or even ponzu salmon. Eel sushi: highly recommend if you like eel! The sushi itself is not overloaded with sauce to the point where it is overbearing. Overall impression of the place is that it is decent, but there is definitely room for improvement. The Tokyo roll is literally just a California roll with tuna on top, which basically resembled the tuna sushi I got. Having more flavorful selections for the sushi would also help justify the price for AYCE. I don’t think they had some classical rolls like dragon roll which was surprising. Service was pretty good as the staff is attentive although some of the workers do not know how to identify or describe the rolls. It would be helpful if visitors were informed of which rolls were which as they tend to come in waves after you place your order. Check this place out if you’re in the area and craving for some sushi! My overall rating would be a 3.5 if I had that option.

Naree Kitchen Thai & Sushi – Menu with Prices – 7933 State Ave #105, Kansas City

Hidden gem in Wyandotte located in a small little strip mall. This little dive is perfect for those that enjoy really good fresh sushi. The rolls were good sized and the fish was fresh probably the best I have had here in Kansas so far. They had a large selection of raw, cooked, and even vegan. Their menu has a variety of specials and plates to fit any appetite. The place is small with booths and small tables makes for an intimate dinner but there service is accommodating to any party. Phatcart our waiter was excellent, recommending rolls that for our tastes. The Thai spring roll was fresh and flavorful. I’m not knowledgeable in thia but with this little restaurant I’m sure my tastebuds with expand to more of their Thia options. You want dinner to go they offer take out and doordash.

Krua Thai Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 7603 W 21st St, Wichita

This placed used to be so awesome. I’m not 100% sure but I think new owners took over and this place has really gone downhill since then. Either way the service is now abysmal and after my experience tonight I definitely won’t be back. Ordered my usual Spring rolls, Chicken Panang, Chicken Pad Thai. Picked up and got home – which is more than 10 minute drive – to find my spring rolls weren’t included. Called up to ask for the cost of my spring rolls to be credited back on the card I used. Not only did the lady argue with me and remain adamant that they did not forget my rolls but then said the only thing they could do is give me a credit for my next order. Nope. Not good enough. Especially when you are calling me a liar, raising your voice and won’t even offer an apology. Why on earth would a customer of several years try to ‘swindle’ you for a single order of spring rolls lol?!

Sushi-Rama Fitzsimons Aurora Menu with Prices 13650 E Colfax Ave, Aurora

Fun and quick sushi! Sushirama is a fun and colorful restaurant with a novelty conveyer belt that allows you to try pairs of different rolls at different price points. I’ve been to Sushirama a handful of times and overall it’s a neat hang-out spot for casual sushi. The basics: There are five different colors for plates which designate the price points of $1.50, $2, $2.50, $3, and $4. On each plate the nigiri or rolls come out with 2 pieces. The plates have chips on the bottom so that when they have been out on the conveyer belt for 90 minutes, they automatically get taken off. If a roll you would like is not out, you can just ask your server for the roll, and can also order the complete full roll if you would like as well. I recommend ordering off the menu, especially when its busier and there’s less of a selection on the belt. Sometimes waiting for that perfect roll to come by takes a little longer than expected. When you order off the menu, the rest of the pieces also go on the belt. Vegetarian and gluten-free rolls are also designated on the menu. If you’re not feeling like sushi, they also offer a couple of ramen options. I’m a huge fan of sushi with fruit, so I do tend to like the sweeter rolls over the more savory. My top favorite rolls are the pineapple express, lobster tempura mango, and spider. I have tried the ramen as well, but I honestly prefer the sushi. If you are in the mood for ramen, it’s probably best to check out Osaka Ramen which is owned by the same owner of Sushirama. Cool things: If you work across the street on the medical campus, you can get 15% off with your badge. Happy hour is Mon-Fri from 3-6pm and is 25% off all rolls. Happy Hour is a great time to go because those sushi plates can really stack up! They also have a robot that prepares the rice! (While this is cool, this does seem to contribute to looser rice in the rolls which can result in pieces falling apart). The Fitzsimons location also has its own special roll called the Fitzsimons. Sometimes they will have signs out for other special rolls or appetizers. If you’re looking for fun and casual sushi to enjoy with friends or just want to try a bunch of different rolls, this is the place for you.

Bob Wasabi Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1726 W 39th St, Kansas City

Some of the best sushi in KC. This is my goto sushi place if anyone asks me where they should grab sushi while they are visiting Kansas City. Here, the sushi is expertly prepared and ordering a Chef’s Choice of the sashimi or sushi-sashimi combo will not at all disappoint. Definitely ask about any sushi and sashimi specials they have, since they will often showcase unique and hard-to-find ingredients. The “Specialty Rolls” menu isn’t as extensive as some of the other sushi bars in the area, but that’s because the nigiri and sashimi are the stars here. If you want rolls with lots of bells and whistles, I would definitely suggest going elsewhere. If you have difficulty finding parking in the small lot in front of Bob Wasabi, park in the larger parking lot behind Jazz/Blue Koi/Black Sheep.

Sushi Cruise – Menu with Prices – 2625 E Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas

My family has been enjoying delicious sushi at this location for over 20 years! Sushi Cruise continues the tradition of excellence with their friendly staff, very skilled chefs and fresh and delicious food. The atmosphere is delightful and the presentation impeccable. But above all else, the rolls are FANTASTIC!!! I live in Utah and literally have friends from California and New York that also make it a point to stop in here every time they’re in Vegas. Plus, my two friends, chefs at the Paris and Bellagio, get their sushi here. Get custom-prepared rolls [we like to add crunch and remove spicy mayo], plus the extra touches [edamame, miso soup, eel sauce for dipping and even mochi for dessert] all for a great price. You owe it to yourself to escape the chaos of the Strip and get a better taste of Las Vegas at this place the locals love!
