Today was the first time trying Jimmy’s tortas. I wanted to treat the office staff to lunch and was looking for something different than a Jasons deli. I found them on Yelp and they had good reviews so I gave them a call yesterday and placed an order to be picked up today. I ordered the Cubana’s, polo, brisket, cochinita & Caesar salad. 9 menu items in total. I arrived and was greeted by friendly gentleman and my order was ready at the exact time I had asked. $40 cheaper than if I would’ve gone to Jason’s deli so that was a bonus. Passed them out to the staff and they were a huge, huge hit!. Everyone in the office loved their sandwiches!! I’m so happy to have stumbled across this place and to be able to support local business over a large food chain. Nice big, fresh salad as well. We will be going back for our next office luncheon.

Biordi Deli – Menu with Prices – 12802 135th Ave, Jamaica

The staff was very sweet at this cozy deli. It’s the closest to JFK so I came here to grab a few deli styled breakfast sandwiches before my day started. The staff was very sweet so I feel bad writing a bad review but the food was gross. I ordered an Italian sub and two egg sandwiches. The sub was extremely dry, everything about it was dry. The bread was hard, the meat was salty and dry, the lettuce was dry the tomatoes were ok and they didn’t add any mayo or oil and vinegar. The oregano was even dry. My two egg sandwiches were ok but they were missing the classic deli flavor. We ended up eating the sandwiches but the sub had to go to waste. It was unbearable.

Valentine’s Deli Menu with Prices 555 NW Arizona Ave suite 25, Bend

So many wonderful things I can say about this deli, but i’ll start with my obsession with the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup special. I am a total sucker for an all day breakfast sandwich… which Valentine’s offers and it is SOOOO good. My husband loves the Malibu Chicken sandwich, and we normally get a salad to split and have not been disappointed one bit. The staff is incredibly accommodating, friendly and patient–even under pressure–including the time we showed up with four 9 year old hungry boys who just had a 4 game soccer tournament and were running on pure adrenaline… which speaking of kids, the deli has a great kids menu as well, and makes for a healthier option, and one they enjoyed very much. Ingredients are fresh, the specials are always tempting to try and the updates on facebook are helpful, which is always a plus for us office workers looking for a good place to order staff meals. I love me a good deli, so this local establishment ticks all my boxes: 1. Great place to grab a quick sandwich/salad/soup and work on your laptop… or have a nice lunch with your partner or friend or whomever you choose. 2. Family friendly is a huge one for me. Even if it’s to-go or sit down with a group of kids, the staff is so patient and accommodating. 3. Larger orders for office events will not disappoint either. We have had luck at our office choosing from the menu even those with dietary restrictions. The menu sits in our regular “go-to” file. 4. Great owners! Seriously, we were lucky enough to meet them and you can really tell that Kari loves what she’s doing and it really shows from obviously the food of course, but the decor, ambiance, casual vibe, it is all part of what she wanted and to hear about it, know about it, made it all the more special. So if you’re in the mood for a delicious sandwich, salad, or soup.. I highly recommend this little gem in the Box Factory. Thanks for serving the Bend community! As a local, I love seeing our very own locals opening up wonderful places such as this one here in our town! ..mmm now I want a breakfast sandwich…

Country Catering & Carry Out Menu with Prices 900 SE Wilson Ave # B, Bend

We swung by Country Catering for a late Saturday lunch. It was a good experience and I expect we’ll be back soon. We both had sandwiches. The bbq tri-tip was really tasty and I loved the soft roll it was served on. The sausage special was decent, but was a bit lackluster flavor-wise compared to the tri-tip; my partner ended up slathering it in extra bbq sauce. The sides, as mentioned below, were a small serving, but with the size of the sandwiches made for a filling meal. Being able to choose whatever salad looked good from the deli case was great. I loved the broccoli-bacon salad, my partner’s pesto pasta salad was fine, but nothing special. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available, and it was a pleasant place to sit down for a bite. It’s a small place both staff and seating-wise, so I am interested to see what the lunch rush looks like.

The Chef Case – Menu with Prices – 600 E 2nd St, Dayton

If you’re at the 2nd Street Market, you have to stop and order at The Chef Case. The food is amazing. I’m a big fan of deli sandwiches and this place is head and shoulders above any place else I’ve tried in Dayton (and I have quite a few favorite delis). Everything is made fresh and your sandwich is made to order (Chef Joe is right there creating your order as you watch). I had the Italian and all I can say is WOW! It literally carpet-bombed my mouth with flavor. Not to mention I couldn’t even finish the whole thing. The portions are gargantuan. There are also a variety of deli salads available. My friend and I shared one (I don’t remember which one she ordered) and it was amazing. I was actually taken aback by how complex the flavors were. Typically, as a matter of personal preference, I am not a fan of deli salads. But if they were all like this, I definitely would have a change of heart. I plan on ordering a deli salad side every time I visit The Chef Case. They also offer unique, freshly made beverages. Definitely try one when you order. My favorite thing about The Chef Case is that the food is all fresh, locally grown, and organic. And it absolutely makes a difference. The high quality of the ingredients very much add to the experience. Any chef worth his/her weight uses only the finest and freshest ingredients. Chef Joe is no exception to this rule. The Chef case isn’t your typical stop-and-stuff-your-face deli counter. It is more than just fantastic food, it is an experience. This is the food that people who know quality food eat. I will definitely frequent The Chef Case. And as an added bonus, it is located at the 2nd Street Market so you can shop for your organic produce and meats while you are there (or in my case on of the giant 2ft. pretzels). I offer only one warning: you will never be satisfied making your own sandwiches ever again.

Old Fashion Deli – Menu with Prices – 1225 N Pacific Ave A, Glendale

After being lured in by signs advertising fresh deli sandwiches, with graphic displays of sandwiches piled high with meat, cheese and produce adorning the shop, I walked in, hungry. I stared down an amazing-looking deli case full of delicious-looking mortadella, ham, salami and cheeses, and more. The sandwich prices ranged from $6-8. Worked for me. I asked the person behind the deli counter if the deli was still open. “Yes,” came the answer, quickly. I politely announced my intention to order two sandwiches to go. Then, a look of fear came over the young woman behind the counter. She said that she could not make any sandwiches because she was the only one there. At that exact moment, another person appeared behind the deli counter, this one a man. Now, both people explain that they cannot make sandwiches because the woman is “by herself”. There was only one other customer in the store, who appeared to need no assistance at the moment. Either I’m crazy, and imagining people, or I unwittingly stumbled into some kind of grey or black market enterprise deal going down, or these two fully grown human adults who appeared to have all of their basic mental and physical faculties at their disposal could not make even one sandwich using the fully stocked and equipped deli that they were standing in. Was it something I said?

Leaf & Ladle Menu with Prices 1113 N State St, Bellingham

We had lunch here yesterday and were very happy with the food and the friendly staff. I had a generous taste of the yummy Hearty Veggie Soup and then ordered a bowl of it. Both my husband and I ordered the vegetarian Caesar Salad with tempeh and it was terrific. They were not stingy with the tempeh!! As strict vegetarians, we are virtually never able to eat Caesar Salad outside our home because of the use of anchovy paste in the dressing. The only negative was that the salad portion was ridiculously HUGE and we could easily have shared one. The staff should tell people how huge it is!!! We would definitely go again!

Sam’s Deli & Grocery – Menu with Prices – 87 Jamaica Ave #8, Jamaica

I love this store. Best deli on Jamaica Ave! The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. I’ve been living up the block for 16 years and been coming here for 16 years, the only deli that I will ever go to on the Ave. Sandwiches are delicious and big and fresh to order and the salads are delicious! I highly reccomend this place!

Corner Deli Menu with Prices 100 Wolf Rd, Albany

I worked here when it was called “The Deli” for about as long as it was open. It was myself, our delivery driver, and the 2 owners. We were definitely a tight knit crew! We had the best food ever! Our sandwiches were the best around, along with our homemade salads and our daily “hot specials”. We used the best cold cuts,(boars head) the best rolls, and had a great deal of passion for sandwich making. Our customers were loyal, and became family! I wish that not only was I older and wiser, but that I was in a better spot financially in my life when the owner passed and the wife put “The Deli” up for sale. It is now being operated under the name, “The Corner Deli”. They do an “ok” job, but changed too much, their prices are pretty high, and they never seem to be open when I’m in the area. And now 10 years later, I am currently looking to purchase my own Deli to continue what Mike had created! I learned a great deal from him, working side by side with him for years. I have the original menu and all of Mike’s recipes, and a passion for sandwich making like no other! Hopefully I will make him proud! RIP Mike ?

Gateway Snack Shop Menu with Prices 11400 114th Ave SE # 150, Bellevue

Excellent little deli/cafe inside this office building. I work up the street and routinely come here for lunch. Everything is made with fresh ingredients directly in front of you. The menu is varied with a great selection of lunch and breakfast items including espresso, soups and sandwiches, and wraps. My only issue is that during lunch this place gets busy and there’s a bit of a wait because the only person who preps the items is the business owner and she’s working as fast as she can but I don’t mind because of the quality of the items she delivers. I wish we had something like this in my office building that she ran!

Donut Country – Menu with Prices – 1311 Memorial Blvd, Murfreesboro

I love Donut Country?s donuts! The things is, I?ve never actually been to Donut Country before today. These are the donuts that I find myself treated to due to their presence at office meetings and other occasions. For someone that has never purchase a Donut Country donut it is amazing how many of them I?ve actually had, and they have always been fresh and delicious! Today one of our clients stopped by our office, and he brought a box of assorted Donut Country donuts with him. While my buddy and I were enjoying them I made the comment that we should have donuts for lunch. That is when he informed me that Donut Country actually serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches! I didn?t need to hear any more, I immediately informed him that we would be going there for lunch, and we did! We each has a chicken salad sandwich with chips, and they were delicious! We decided to split and egg salad sandwich and it was one of the best egg salad sandwiches that I?ve ever had! Both the chicken salad and egg salad were very fresh, but that was to be expected as I had been told that they make everything fresh every day. We dined in the store and found the store to be nice and clean, and the atmosphere was friendly and cozy. These guys do a great job and I look forward to returning for lunch in the near future!

Bridgewater Deli – Menu with Prices – 11325 Random Hills Rd #150, Fairfax

OK – so this was a surprise. I was visiting the DC area for the last five days and last Tuesday I met a friend who works in the nearby office park. My buddy took me to this normal looking deli and I was expecting normal deli food. Instead, I was pretty blown away. I can’t vouch for the other sandwiches here, but anyone near this deli desperately needs to try the chipotle chicken sandwich. If I remember correctly, it has avocado, cheddar, and I think honey mustard…on a DELIGHTFUL toasted ciabatta. If you work nearby, this is an absolute MUST. My friend also ordered the chipotle chicken and also raved about the corn chowder, but I didn’t try it, so I can’t opine. Service was above average – the owners (I think), seem to be very nice and knew my friend on a first name basis. Store was clean but the decor was otherwise unremarkable. Given that I live in CA, the likelihood that I come back to this random deli is quite low, but I wanted to write this review to highlight this to anyone who works or lives nearby. Three words – Chipotle Chicken Sandwich.

A Taste of Italy – Menu with Prices – 1101 S College Rd, Wilmington

I have had many of Italian subs from many places and nothing beats this place! Homemade bread, fresh sliced meats, huge portions, and just delicious!! I have never saw such a heaping pile of meat! Their chicken salad is one of the top chicken salads in Wilmington. Their macaroni and anti pasta salad is also amazing. Pricing is right where it should be. I have not had their pasta but have heard it was wonderful. They have a deli, grocery items, and a place to eat there. I usually get my food to go. Their breakfast sandwiches are also very good. I recommend this place for catering, too!
