Donut worry, be happy! Gainesville has a brand new not donut chain shop and I couldn’t be more happier! It should be noted that the suite for this place is 109, next to the Starbucks, in front of Maude’s in downtown. A great location and parking in the mornings is fairly easier compared to later in the day! Immediately welcomed by sweet, attentive staff, my mouth watered as I looked at the donuts behind the glass. Now these aren’t your regular sized. They are mini, easily chompable in 2 bites donuts! These are donuts you can drink with milk, coffee or even splurge and go for a beer and donut tasting for $11. You can’t go wrong with any of the cereal donuts, fruity pebbles and Cinnamon Toast Crunch were delicious and true to the cereal and toppings. I wasn’t pleased with the unicorn fart. It had cotton candy on top that stuck to your teeth and you needed your fingers to removed it. It’s a wonderful place for friends and families to eat mini donuts and not feel bad about the calories! They have over 5 consoles dispersed in the store. They have games like Mario Kart, Kirby, Pac-Man and more as well as board games like cards against humanity and taboo! Everything is clean and brand new (note I am writing this 2 weeks after the grand opening). It was very donut decorated with donut mini floaters, a donut float giant pool sized, donut couch decor and little donut puns all over! Donut worry, it’s a fantastic addition to downtown. I’ll attest that I got a half dozen, ate them and said heck I want more and bought some more. I can’t wait to come back and bring everyone I know!

ChuChu Donuts – Menu with Prices – 580 SW 9th St #116, Des Moines

Chu Chu donuts is easily my favorite donut spot in the Des Moines area. We were sad when they closed in Ankeny, but were happy to know they reopened downtown. They have a solid selection of classic donut favorites and some cereal or bacon donuts to fit the more decadent current trend as well. The donuts never disappoint whether it is the subtly sweet cake donut or the traditional puffed dough, they are the perfect texture and flavor. While I like a plain donut, the frosted or glazed donuts are just as good. While the distance makes it more of a rare occasion, I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Grinning Goblin Gaming Tavern – Menu with Prices – 1625 S Rock Rd #135, Wichita

This is the first video game bar I’ve ever been to, and let me tell ya, GGGT sets the bar high! While the decor itself is pretty simple, there is a lot of redecorating potential if they ever wanted to add some more “oomph” to the bar. Big open spaces, lots of seating, and the cleanest darn bathroom I’ve ever laid eyes on. You can tell a lot of care and love went into this place, and it’s much appreciated. The booths on the bar side have every gaming system you could imagine (the seats are also super comfy)- PS4, Wii U, just waiting on the Switch. Nice flatscreen TVs with great quality. Good selection of classic and niche games- Mario Kart, LOZ- I think I saw Conker’s Bad Fur Day on the list too, lol. And if video games aren’t your jam, they’ve got a really large selection of board games and tabletops. Now, onto the booze! For a place this size, the alcohol selection is pretty good. They have some fun cocktails, (pictured) and the sweetest darn bartender ever! I forget her name, but she’s the bees knees, and one of the owners of GGGT. Can’t wait until I’m back in town!

Mac’s Donuts Menu with Prices 14th St N Courthouse Rd, Arlington

Took me three tries at the Arlington (Courthouse) Farmer’s Market to get my hands on these and they were well worth the wait. I don’t think they show up weekly at the market but if you spot the bright blue van, you should definitely give it a try. By far my favorite dessert place that I’ve tried at the market! The smell of apple cider donuts gently wafts through the cool, fall air as you approach, which teases the delicious experience awaiting ahead. Then you watch them drop the donut batter into the fryer which pumps out the delectable bite-sized morsels. It doesn’t get much fresher than Mac’s! I was hesitant to order since the smallest order has 6 donuts, but they were inhaled instantaneously. The mini donuts are hot and crunchy on the outside, but the perfect amount of soft and density (which a cake donut should have). Dust your donuts with your choice of powdered sugar and/or cinnamon (I recommend both), and if you haven’t stopped by yet, you donut want to miss this!

Little Dutch Bakery – Menu with Prices – 7611 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati

They have the best donuts in the city of Cincinnati. They’re better than buskens, graters, dunken or any other name brand donut I’ve had. They have the fluffiest softest donuts with just the right amount of glaze. The perfect donuts are made by Little dutch bakery on Hamilton ave in mt.healthy. and there only $1 dollar. I leave out for work in the morning 3o minutes early on the days I crave these donuts. They are soooo good. Proceed with caution, they are highly addictive melt in your mouth flavorful donuts. Not your average donut. Bless the hands that make these donuts so good.

Best Donuts – Menu with Prices – 4301 SE 15th St A, Oklahoma City

You don’t call yourself “Best” without expecting some serious shade for if it’s not true. Good news is HOLY HELL. THESE ARE SOME BEST DAMN DONUTS. Each one is dipped or iced to please any perfectionist; they’re beautifully smooth on top. They are GORGEOUS donuts. And they taste like OH MY GOD. The glaze comes off in these beautiful little flakes. The donuts are perfectly chewy yet light and airy. Get a dozen for your office. And maybe a dozen for yourself. Donut holes? Oh please just get yourself a dozen of those, all assorted. Even if I buy the office donuts, I tend to like donut holes better (even though I end up eating the equivalent of six donuts then), and the Bavarian cream ones are so addictive that I suddenly became everyone’s best friend in the office. Definitely one of the Top 3 donut shops across America that I’ve ever had. Eat now, worry about pushups later.

The Blurry Pixel – Menu with Prices – 201 Queen St, Ottawa

Pretty fun place. $15 minimum to stay and play (food or bar tab). I went with a group of friends and played various Mario Party, Mario Kart, Smash Bros., and Mortal Kombat games. The seating at the booths was awkward to say the least, craning my neck to look at the TV. We also played Rock Band 4 but could barely hear ourselves playing over the noise of the other gamers around the bar. The food was average and the drinks were okay. I ordered a lot of drinks and wasn’t even tipsy. Not sure if they’re cheating you out of some alcohol ounces or what? If you want to feel a buzz — stick to beer. That being said, the Mana and Health potion cocktails are quite cool… Now, I didn’t use the washroom, but my friend did and she said it was absolutely disgusting! I am kind of glad that I skipped it. She said that the Ladies Washroom has black mold, that pink scuzzy ring that toilets get when they haven’t been scrubbed in a while, and it was just a general shit show (pun intended). She said that she had to squat to pee so that she didn’t touch the seat. I like the nostalgia of playing old video games. I just wish that they had a better set up for doing so, the booths are fairly uncomfortable…

Donut Delight – Menu with Prices – 225 E Amherst Dr, Tyler

I was craving some donuts here in Tyler, and this spot had the best reviews on yelp. My consensus? Friendly service, good variety of donuts, but on the sweeter/oily side on the donut spectrum. There’s a good amount of parking, especially when you go early in the day. They share parking in a plaza with a bunch of other shops/stores, so don’t worry about getting a spot here…even during peak times. Donut Delight is a tiny shop that seems to have a lot of local support. They sell donuts as well as breakfast tacos (which all have meat), kolaches and beverages. I enjoyed the donut holes, but they were on the soft side and left that oily aftertaste. I think I’ve been spoiled by Round Rock Donuts and my favorite donut shop in Austin. BUT their blueberry and old-fashioned donuts are pretty good. They bag all your donuts up for you, and service is with a sweet smile. Support your local businesses! It seems like Donut Palace is the chain to go to here in Tyler, but I’m all for supporting the stand-alones.

LFG Gaming Bar – Menu with Prices – 116 Portage Street, Kalamazoo

This place is kind of like the Aquaman movie for me. I had really low expectations, and I actually wound up liking it better than I expected to. Basically a bunch of my gamer friends told me they hated it oh, so it had nowhere to go but up. If you’re going here first and foremost to have a great gaming experience, you’ll probably be a bit disappointed by lagging equipment and lack of variety. But if you’re here for a birthday party, for example — as we were on Friday night — and you might want to play a little bit of Super Puzzle Fighter or Guitar Hero while you hang out and catch up with old friends, you’re probably going to have a pretty nice time. The drink prices on the beers are very fair ($4-6 for local craft beers), but there’s nothing out of the ordinary on the list. Cocktail prices are mostly under 10, but no one at my table was impressed with what they got and our concensus was that one of their cocktails was basically like grape Kool-Aid for grown ups. The food likewise was kind of meh. The rice balls just needed a little bit of something else — the dipping sauce was delicious but they were just too ricey. Seems to me like there’s way too many great spots to score an amazing drink downtown for this place to do too well other than that niche factor of having old school games. I did like that they had some board games and party games (What Do You Meme, Cards Against Humanity, Jenga, etc.), too. Here’s hoping they add some pizzazz to both their drink and food menus, because this could be a pretty fun to hang out if they got all their ducks in order.

Simply Done Donuts – Menu with Prices – 2109 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa

Mini Donuts done RIGHT!!! When I first heard of this place opening, I immediately had to do research of their Georgia location. I saw rave reviews, mouth watering photos and happy customers. So of course, I was very intrigued by it. Having loved Mini Doughnut factory, the place that was there before, I already considered myself a mini donut connoisseur. I was saddened by the abrupt closing of their locations, but let me tell you… Simply Done has not lost a beat here by opening in the same building. Upon entering, beautiful decor and nice , cozy setup . The walls were adorned with pictures of the donuts that they make fresh to order, and their description. I ordered the Churro donut and The Strawberry shortcake alongside a Fruity pebbles. I was blown away. The donuts were so soft and flavorful. I had to stop myself from eating the whole box. The employees were super nice and helpful, explaining the donuts and what they recommended depending on my pallete. My parents and I were totally pleased with the taste and the beautiful layout and great employees. Seriously, if you love donuts in general, check this place out.

Honey Bee Donut – Menu with Prices – 4431 SE 29th St, Oklahoma City

I go by and get a donut here every morning, I hate to admit it but it’s true they’re addicting! They have unique Donuts there is one that is top with pebbles cereal that is to die for LOL. They just have a very unique and flavorful assortment of delicious fresh donuts. They are not too heavy as of some of the old school chains, and they’re not so light that you have to eat 10 of them like some of the so-called fresh donuts stands LOL. They are just right they melt in your mouth and they are very satisfying with a cup of their delicious cappuccino. There is one other thing I do need to mention they have some of the most delicious croissant sandwiches that you have tried I can promise you that. And they are very reasonably priced. If you need a drink there’s a assortment of every type of drink possible. This is a very unique and awesome coming up little donut shop we are really enjoying it in the Del City area.

Honey Dew Donuts – Menu with Prices – 1181 W Boylston St, Worcester

This location is found inside an Xtra Mart store. Nice sized counter in the back of the store. Has a drive thru as well. Relatively new shop. Coffee was great but wish the donut selection was a bit more extensive. They look like they have room, and some of the more common donuts were out by 10AM

Sweet Donuts – Menu with Prices – 800 E Arapaho Rd #112a, Richardson

I was up early and it would be hours until lunch so I needed something to tie me over until lunch. This place was on my way and I stopped to check it out. It’s a donut hole-in-the-wall place as most mom and pop donut shops are. The guy behind the counter is stoic. It was relatively late and there wasn’t a huge selection. Normally I get a buttermilk (cake) donut, but it looked like they were out. I instead, got two glazed donuts. The donuts themselves were pretty good. Average to above average. The icing was still moist, enough that it didn’t fall off when you bit into the donut, but not so moist that it stuck to everything (other than the donut). I could have used the donut just fried a little more to make it more crisp, but that’s getting a little nit-picky. At $.65 each, that’s $1.41 out the door for two glazed donuts. Yes, I got three free donut holes, but that’s a relatively expensive donut. I can get cake donuts at other places for $.75 and I think that’s verging into the high side. Glazed donuts should be closer to $.50. I know what you’re thinking, “What’s $.15, dude?” It’s not that it’s just $.15, it’s that it’s 30% more than what I would expect to pay. I probably won’t come back here when there are better donut places with a better selection for better prices that are nearby.
