You can have the best food out there but if you’re lacking in customer service skills it’s a dud for me. Not only was the food really good, but it was served up with a welcoming smile. This guy was cool under the pressure of a forming line and several women who were trying to order items that weren’t even on the menu. Patient and kindly explaining the menu options to the confused customers, while greeting and telling those waiting he’d be right with them. We ordered a BBQ sand, the Norm, side of baked beans and bacon Mac ‘n cheese egg rolls. The generous portion of moist BBQ was flavorful, baked beans had a spicy kick to them and the rich eggs rolls were a hit with us and a coworker I took an order to. This food truck was a winner for our dinner!

The Back 40 Urban Cafe – Menu with Prices – 40 S Dixie Hwy, St. Augustine

I love lunch at the Back 40. So many choices on the menu and so well prepared. I love the red bell pepper and avocado tacos, although I recommend you get the Annieâ??s dressing (rather than ranch), and have it served â??on the sideâ?. I had a side of beans and rice â?? and theirâ??s is not just any beans and rice… theirs is terrific. Although the beans are black beans, they remind me of the homemade baked beans mon used to make; kudos to the chef. I have to admit that I douse my food with the Back 40â??s own brand of hot sauce – itâ??s very flavorful, and not scorching; itâ??s adds a flavorful and pleasantly mild heat to the food. Donâ??t forget to ask for a punch card for lunches – just need to have 5 lunches to get the fifth free.

Mot’s Pit Cooked Barbeque Menu with Prices 3963 Columbia Rd, Augusta

My coworker and I ordered in from this restaurant. I am extremely disappointed having tried this place for the first time. I ordered the Pork and Chicken mix, the baked beans and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese had a puddle of liquid in the bottom of the cup and the pork and chicken arrived resembling the canned cat food I feed my cat. It was a very small portion in comparison to my coworkers plate of ribs. She was not pleased either. The food was very bland and non-appetizing. The food that arrived looked NOTHING like the pics above. The macaroni noodles were not even the same, I got these overcooked, mushy spiral noodles instead of the elbows and none of that baked cheese goodness.I felt like I completely wasted $10 and could not get another lunch because I have a small break for lunch and the food was delivered. I guess in order to get good barbeque, I will have to continue to go to North Augusta. They have 2 great establishments that are FLAVORFUL, and made to fill you up for the price you pay!

Jon Lillies STEAKHOUSE – Menu with Prices – 5102 N 19th St, Waco

Visited on Saturday for a family dinner. Had to wait around 30 min for a table upon arrival after we had called ahead and told it would be about 20 minutes, which is the amount of time that it took to drive to the establishment. The table they attempted to seat us at had not been bussed and we had to wait while they did that. We were told that they were out of Ribeyes while we we looking at the menus. Menu prices are quite high compared to other steakhouses in the area and if you want a dinner salad with your meal, that is an upcharge, as they consider it a premium side. After ordering our food, we asked if we could have some rolls brought to the table. One server said she would be right back with some. After about 20 minutes our server finally stopped back by the table to check on us. We asked her about the rolls, and she said they don’t serve rolls. What kind of steakhouse does not serve rolls? Our food finally arrived about 30 minutes after we ordered it. The food was OK at best and the sides(I ordered green beans and Mac & Cheese) are from a can, and are definitely not fresh or homemade. The grilled chicken breast I ordered was bland with no seasonings and was dry and overcooked. The baked potato was cold and would not melt the butter. The other people in our party had similar complaints about their food and everyone had ordered something different. They had our waitress trying to service too many tables and she just could not take care of everyone being spread so thin and she was unable to keep our drinks filled and there were long stretches of time between visits to our table. It was our one and only visit. We won’t be going back.

Sarge’s Smokehouse Bbq LLC – Menu with Prices – 1500 W Cass St, Tampa

We rode our motorcycles there based on other online reviews. I did not realize it was a food truck, so when we did not find a location at 10:45, we killed time at nearby Harley Davidson dealer (who also has a restaurant which I heard was horrible). When we rode by at 11:15, voila! My riding buddy ordered combo platter – he said the chicken was incredibly juicy, the brisket was killer and the pulled pork was perfect. The coleslaw was standard fare – skip it. I ordered the brisket: Brisket is a good test because it dries out easily and is less forgiving. It was only slightly salty, but with the different BBQ sauces it was perfection. I would not hesitate ordering it again. Baked beans are made from scratch (everything is) and had several different kinds of beans and rectangular chunks of bacon or pork belly. I could eat just that for lunch – for real. If your kids are used to boxed stuff, they may not like it. We plan our rides around BBQ destinations. Honestly? This is one of the best. It took us by surprise. —Helpful Tips:1. If you go early, they might not be there yet. 10:40 they were not there. 11am is their start time. 2. Order the baked beans. Better yet, bring a cooler and bring a quart home.3. This is a food truck, so if it is warm outside, plan on eating in your car. There are two picnic benches only.4. If your kids are used to boxed mac n cheese, they might not care for a runnier one with a little kick, unless they’re flexible.5. Look for the strip building with red awnings. This is a dense industrial area off a busy road. Zero on ambiance, but safe. There is an adult establishment across the street, but the building is so industrial that it is hard to tell.6. Veterans with military ID get 10% discount.I hope you found these tips helpful.

Taqueria Los Pinos – Menu with Prices – or3316 a E 14th, 1348 Richmond Ave, Des Moines

I stumbled on this food truck by accident ! Great food and prices at this truck ! I had two chicken tacos, side of beans, tortillas and a jaritos mandarin soda. The tacos were 3 bite size and served on corn tortillas. The tacos came with sauces. The chicken had good flavor ! I liked the grilled onion on the tacos. The beans were my favorite part of the meal ! I got a good size side of beans. Great flavor and delicious ! Authentic Mexican food truck! Definitely a good stop for lunch in Des Moines!

Woody’s Smoke Shack – Menu with Prices – 2511 Cottage Grove Ave, Des Moines

I’ll admit, we ordered Grubhub from Stew’s just because it was new and we were too lazy to think about dinner. We never tried Woody’s but the Grubhub driver said Woody’s is under new management, now known as Stew’s. We both ordered the meal deal. Herself got the pulled chicken and ordered cheesy potatoes and mac and cheese. I got the quarter rack, cole slaw and apples. First issue, how good is their cheesy anything that they were out of both cheesy potatoes and mac and cheese by 6:37? But, GH called us in time to tell us they were out of both and let us substitute green and baked beans. I found the ribs slightly spiced, moist, tender, and flavorful. However, the cole slaw was too creamy and the apples too sweet. Herself said the chicken was dry but the BBQ sauced solved that. The baked beans were fine and the burnt ends were an unexpected addition. The green beans were far from al dente (closer to mushy than not) with no discernible flavor. The corn bread was dense, slightly sweet and somewhere between dry and gummy. Upside, the portions were generous and hot. The delivery was on time and the price was very reasonable. Personally, we will stick with Smoky D’s.

Wildwood Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1200 28th St S, St. Petersburg

AMAZING ribs. I have had some of the best ribs of my life in Nashville and these rank up there with some of my favorites. I liked the spicy mustard bbq sauce as well as the original hot bbq. The baked beans were sweet and the dirty rice flavorful / tasty. GREAT job Wildwood Cafe, I will be back.

Southern Fried – Menu with Prices – 110 N 16th St, McAllen

So I took my wife and 1 yr old son for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We understand that it might be a longer wait due to the food being cooked once ordered. We had an order of buffalo wings, the Dad’s plate (fillets, jumbo shrimp, and tenders) and fries w/ beans as sides. So our son started getting fussy due to being hungry so this lady (I’m assuming the owner) brought him a tender so he could eat while we wait on our food. The place was a winner already! The wings were delicious! Nice and crispy…good amount of meat on the bone…and I loved the buffalo sauce. Right amount of tang and heat. Main course was also excellent. The homemade tartar sauce was creamy and tangy…the shrimp were excellent…and the fillets were the right amount of crisp on the outside while still being soft on the inside. Our son loved the tenders and ate 2 on his own. My wife said she lived the fillets. The fries were also very good…the right amount of seasoning on it. Only thing slightly lacking were the beans. I found them good ..my wife is more used to charro beans (lol) so she would’ve preferred them a little more spicy. I found them to be just right. Food was so good we ordered more plates to go for our dinner! Definitely going back.

Riviere Modern Banh Mi – Menu with Prices – 905 N Hudson Ave, Oklahoma City

I had a really good dinner at Riviere on a Wednesday. I would say overall the food was 4.5 but the price and service bump it up to a 5. Very glad this joint is downtown adjacent and I hope it is open for many years to come. I arrived around 6:15 and the place was steady but not crowded. I was able to sit right down and was immediately approached by a very friendly woman. For my first meal (and I will most definitely be back) I wanted to go with the standard banh mi, which is the James Banh. This has Vietnamese charcuterie, pate, standard veggies (carrot, jalapeno, cilantro, cucumber) and an aioli. It is not huge and the sandwich is constructed well. You get a bit of each ingredient in each bite. Everything is flavorful and this is a classic banh mi, and a good version at that. The bread is excellent quality, I did not ask if they bake it in house or buy it, but it is difficult to have a really good sandwich with low quality bread. Riviere most definitely did not skimp on the bread, and that shows in the final product. For $9 you get the sandwich and a side. I went with mac and cheese and, at the recommendation of the server, got the work fried green beans as well. Very glad I got both. The mac and cheese has a very flavorful sauce and Chinese sausage on top. The pasta is properly cooked to al dente. While this was strong, the green beans were probably the winner. They are slightly blistered and the soy/pepper sauce takes on a thicker consistency which coats the beans. They are really good, highly recommended. I want to try other sides on future visits, but it will be tough not to get the mac and cheese and green beans every time. I will be back soon to try some of Riviere’s takes on banh mis, including the french dip and buffalo chicken versions. This is a restaurant that can execute the classics well but is creative enough to stay interesting. Again, very glad it’s here and I hope OKC supports this joint.

Rolling Rice – Menu with Prices – 9668 Milliken Ave, Rancho Cucamonga

Had lunch here with a coworker a few days back. Location is pretty tiny, not great for big groups. However, location is clean and well maintained. The location is the type where you order up front and the staff brings you the meal. Food was brought out quickly and correctly. I had Chicken Udon, which was absolutely fantastic, absolutely good bang for the buck. I also got the eggrolls, which tasted very plain and seemed very similar to the stuff you could buy at Trader Joe’s and pan-fry yourself. My coworker bought an assortment of sushi rolls and was greatly disappointed. She thought the crunch rolls were more mushy than crunchy, and that this place did not scratch her itch for sushi at all. I might go back for the Udon or to try the ramen, but maybe avoid the sushi and eggrolls.

Heartful Made – Menu with Prices – 2009 W Commonwealth Ave Unit C, Fullerton

Omg. Bacon?? I’ve never had or seen bacon kimbap until I walked into this place. Such a wonderful place! Super clean. Super friendly lady working there. She was able to speak English and communicate everything I needed to know and answer all questions I had. Very reasonably priced. Much better than H Mart in price and quality. I don’t even want to compare. It’s like when people compare Pizza Hut to places like Fuoco pizza. Just can’t do it. Both the bacon and angus steak rolls were delicious. All the ingredients inside were proportioned perfectly and she did not skimp on the meats. Not sure how she can make any money to stay in business? But I hope they do! She was open on sinda I also bought a bag of frozen kimchi dumplings for $6. They are handmade in the store. I guess it’s a restaurant (?) but seems more like a store because everything’s packaged to go. I can’t wait to try that. She also did a great job packaging up my items. You can really tell she cares about her food and how it’s presented and that it is enjoyed! And in this case, it was…! Bacon???! Update- tried the kimchi dumplings and also tried pork. They are both good! However, be warned that the kimchi is spicy! She warned me when I bought it that the kimchi would be spicy, but I don’t mind spicy things and sometimes figure people just say that. But this was actually spicy! I liked it tho. Also tried the spam gimbap, the pork belly gimbap. Both were sooo good! Pork belly has jalapeño slices in it! Really good and all her rolls are made with care.

Dickâ??s Wings And Grill Augustine, FL – Menu with Prices – S S, 4010 US-1, St. Augustine

Being new to the area and wanting some good wings we had been told that Dick’s was the place to go. The service was good as she had recommendations on both the flavors (and heat)=of the wings, along with the ice cold beer on tap. My wife ordered the Applewood Honey BBQ and I got the General Dick’s after being told they were nice and spicy and would impart some good heat. I also ordered a side of waffle fries with baked beans. The wings were nice and crisp with the Applewood having good flavor of both bbq sauce and smokiness. I was disappointed in the General Dick’s though as . . . while they had good flavor . . . they did lack any ‘heat.’ On their menu they show you can get ‘heat’ for any flavor by ordering it to be spiced up . . . but going on the recommendation that there would already be ‘heat,’ simply ordered the wings expecting a decent ‘bite,’ which impress. Also . . . the baked beans were very disappointing in that they were very, very watery and thin. We may try Dick’s again so I can see if it shapes up but I was somewhat disappointed after having received recommendations for the establishment.
