So happy Anthonys is in the Victoria Park Plaza now. Today we went to Anthonys for a second time, and again, NOT disappointed to say the least. This is in my backyard, so to speak, so it’s a pleasure to write about how good it is for us locals and those visiting the area. Here goes in my format of decor, service and food. Decor – well, it’s a take out place. But with the limited space they make you feel very welcomed. And as you wait (if you order in, but every delivery service is signed up so a lot of times you don’t even need to) there is a small bar with meats, cheeses, breads to nibble on while you wait, PLUS they offer you wine or cappucino as well. Very smart. And delicious. But overall there isn’t much to look at, but you can see the kitchen and what’s going on, and it’s impressive! Service – Again, this is basically a take out place, so giving snaps for service is somewhat difficult, but keep in mind everything is prepared to order, so you WILL wait. And it’s a small place, so if you order a million things, you’ll need to give them a little time. But each time we’ve been in, they are courteous and professional and watching them prepare everything, its happening at a good pace. Overall, the service is very good. Food – here is the star of the show. They know what they are doing. And for the money, it’s a very good value. I’ve read where a few people had a few things not so great, but honestly, that can happen anywhere, but it’s important to hear. For us, we still to the basics with Italian food, pastas, meatballs, etc and they do NOT disappoint. Today our order included a bowl of rigatoni with bolognese sauce and a meatball parmigiana sandwich (served with chips OR a massive salad). What a deal. Now I have heard some people say the food is salty, and there is a bit of truth to that. But if you are salt conscience, tell them. They prepare just about everything to order, so I’m SURE they can make adjustments. We applaud Anthonys as a small business in the area, with a good plan that includes an inviting storefront and a winning combination of great prices, service and excellent food. I HIGHLY encourage you to give them your business.

ragg dolls homecooking winton rd – Menu with Prices – 9176 Winton Rd, Cincinnati

Food good, business not soo much. I hate to say that when going to pick up my food, I witnessed not so good customer service. It Wasnt towards me but still, disturbing! My experience was that I went back in to order. I tried calling in multiple times ahead of time because I expected it to be a long wait. THEY Dont ANSWER their phones!!! (Bad business) But I went anyways. The place was hard to find with no outdoor signage. I only found it because I went into the bowling ally to ask for directions and just happened to see that they were located in a small room in the bowling ally. Kinda weird, but i was still determined to give it a chance! No lines. I was the only one there. One of the older ladies took my order and she seemed to have a sweet vibe. I placed my order and it seemed to have taken forever as I guess everything was cook to order style. Cool. Ill wait, hopefully its worth it. As i waited a few Doordash drivers came in to pick up orders, most of them complained about the wait and one even left angry because this wasn’t the first time they’ve had issues with this business. As time goes on my order is up, i look at it before I leave. I ordered the chicken, mac, and cabbage and cake on the side. I will say IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! It was delicious. This is what real Soul Food is supposed to taste like! Surprisingly the cabbage was the best thing going. The best ive ever had!!! Everything delicious. I would definitely recommend the food. I just hope things get better in the customer service area. Because if they can get on top of that they would be THRIVING, im sure!!!!

A-1 Pizza Shop – Menu with Prices – 505 Grand St, New York

This is the owner Charlies son, I am so grateful of all of my customers & the constant business you guys give us. Thank you for all of the positive comments! All the people that left negative comments, I would love if u would come to our store and give us another chance! For the people that are saying our store is dirty and run down, you should look at the grade health inspectors always give us! I will give u guys a hint, it’s always an A or B, but mostly it’s an A. Also, we’ve been in the same location since 1985. If our store wasn’t up to par with the standards of the health department, we would have been shut down already! There are other stores near us that get shut down because of public health hazards and their stores are newly renovated. All in all, thank you to all our customers that love us and give us constant business. Also, whoever had a bad time at our store, give us another chance, we won’t disappoint.

Lamantini Trattoria – Menu with Prices – 1830 59th St W, Bradenton

The dinner we had tonight was amazing but the meatballs and sauce is the best I ever had. You will not find a better meatball anywhere! Give the chef a raise cuz he raised the bar. The calamari app was tossed with banana peppers and tomatoes and lightly battered perfectly fried. The Ravioli was excellent.. the wife had the salmon. It was beautifully presented and she said it was great! We will be back for sure..I need this meatballs in my life 100 Stars

Rocchio’s Italian Deli – Menu with Prices – 1408 Potomac Ave, Pittsburgh

Stumbled across this cute deli while walking in Dormont today. What a great find!!! We had been talking about what to eat for dinner so this was perfect timing. We ordered an americano hoagie, a Rocchio hoagie, a hot sausage hoagie, a vegiano hoagie and 2 meatballs with cheese. We couldn’t wait for dinner to try the meatballs … they smelled so delicious & they didn’t disappoint!!! They were seriously so tasty!!! The hoagies are made on Mancinis rolls with boars head products and are really good. I’m saving the veggie hoagie for lunch tomorro but after eating all the other food, I’m positive it will be scrumptious!! Bison chili was on the menu today … omg! Soooo good!!!! I’m looking forward to the next time pepperoni rolls will be on the menu as I’ll be running up to buy one , or two!! They also have some canned items to pick up. We got a jar of olive bruschetta. Also served up is gelato. I sampled death by chocolate….. I could have eaten the whole tub of it!! The owner was there and she was super nice. Chatted with us for a while. It just felt so warm and personable to be in there. Next time you’re in dormont , stop in. Or it’s worth a trip to take!

La Xoyita Restaurant Y Tortilleria – Menu with Prices – 463 Plainfield St, Providence

Small 8-10 table casual Guatemalan restaurant. We got one order of the meatballs and one of the chili rellenos. Each came with rice, salad, and beans. The meatballs were like little hamburgers and were tasty. The stuffed peppers were also very tasty. Service was quick and very friendly but in Spanish only. Overall a fresh and tasty meal!

Good Eats Kitchen Menu with Prices 7673 Perkins Rd Suite A-2, Baton Rouge

Meal prep has become a hot topic these days with people both wanting to save time so that there is more time with family and friends, as well as people wanting to eat more healthy with whole food ingredients and clean eating. While I try to prepare my meals fresh daily, sometimes i need good items to fall back on. Frozen meals just don’t cut it somedays. Good Eats Kitchen (GEK) is a welcome new addition to Baton Rouge and a great location in Ichiban Square Shopping Center. The store is very open and inviting with a bright green and yellow color patter. The employee today was very welcoming and came over to make sure I understood how to identify the different foods and meats. Prices are very reasonable for the freshly made meals you are purchasing. You can eat them in the store if you’d like, or you can take them to go. For lunch today, i enjoyed the turkey meatballs and zoodles. I simply heated the meal for about 1.5 minutes and was good to go! Nutritional facts are on the package. It seriously tasted like something I would have made in my kitchen (only better!) I love the idea that this is a Louisiana family with ties to Baton Rouge and a love for what they do. And it all started wanting to help the owner’s sister, growing into a business seeking to provide GOOD and HEALTHY meals to others. Check them out today! (If you can’t make the store location, you can also look at delivery options on their website!) Can’t wait for more!

Panda Express – Menu with Prices – 1240 W Campbell Rd, Richardson

Love Panda Express. Just not this location. It used to be a fried chicken place that went out of business. The decor and the seating is really nice but that means nothing if the food isn’t good. The restaurant barely had any people in it and a large number of items had very little in the bowls and you had to wait for them to cook more. Also the line service leaves a lot to be desired. They served my wife and I had to wait and wait for someone to come and take care of my order. They aren’t really organized well for line work. Kind of like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. There is scant communication between the line workers so if someone walks away to do something else no one else on the line seems to know where to pick up the service. As for the food, portion size does not compare to other Panda Express locations. They skimp on the serving size. It doesn’t taste like the food at other Panda Express locations either. Tastes saltier, less flavorful. Even the food on display doesn’t appear that appetizing. Some of it looks dried out as if sitting there too long. The egg rolls appeared overcooked, very dark and unappetizing. They push their charity at the register so be prepared for that. We won’t be returning to this location. We’ll continue to frequent the location near Beltline and Plano Road in Richardson where every aspect of service and the food gets a 5 star rating from us. Granted the seating and decor at the new Campbell location are better but thats not why we go in the first place. We go for the food, why else? Oh and one other thing. I really hate the TV screens that show nothing more than promotions of the chain. We’re already there. Already buying your products. Why promote what we are already doing? Get some real channels on there that people can actually enjoy.

Zaxby’s Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings – Menu with Prices – 540 W El Camino Alto St, Springfield

I try to leave reviews that are helpful to people reading them and the establishment. We placed our order to go at 2:40 PM. We didn’t have our order until 2:55. 15 minutes isn’t that long to wait and I generally don’t mind. However, when I look into the kitchen and I see all the workers goofing off and playing around, it’s no wonder my order took so long to prepare. I wasn’t offered any sauces for the strips we ordered, I had to ask for them. I told the young lady taking our order at the start that it was the first time we had ever been to a Zaxby’s which presented her with a golden opportunity to explain how the restaurant worked and what types of food they have. She missed an opportunity for a great customer service experience and an opportunity for an upsale. I can get chicken strips anywhere. The food was mediocre, the price was high and the service was bad. Will not be returning any time soon.

BaBae’s Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1323 Ariana St, Lakeland

Horrible. Customer service is EVERYTHING. Came into this place and felt like I was a stranger eating in someones home, not a place of business. I walked in with my husband and no is at the host station, yet there’s a sign that says wait to be seated. There’s an elder sweet lady sitting at the front, greets me and we respond. Then the waiter comes from the back and greets my husband and I. He then let us know we can sit where we like. We sit and look around and there’s a few groups of people sitting around talking. I thought that they may be patrons. After we’re given the menu we see it looks a bit overprice for the environment, but I wouldn’t say its expensive. We decided to do the buffet so we could try a variety of dishes. A 15 dollar buffet consisted of barbecue chicken that looks like it was there from the day before, old crispy rice, meatballs in a flour based sauce that was ok, dried mac and cheese that surprisingly tasted better then the fresh batch that came after 15 minutes of us being there, baked beans and string beans. There was about 3 protein selections (fried chicken, barbecue chicken and meatballs) and about 5 side items. At 4 in the afternoon (the start of dinner according to the menu) these item were surely leftovers that was there all day. After being there 30 minutes we realize the patrons are family and staff, because a few other customers came in and suddenly there was a parade of hello’s and welcome’s from the very people who were sitting and eating among themselves( hence the unwelcoming feel). I will say after 25 minutes a woman did ask if the food was ok, as she was walking to the back, but she clearly didn’t care for an answer because she was already in the back before we could speak. Smh. We watched two white males come and were given a slew of hello and then one of the staff tell our waiter to have the kitchen staff bring out fresh food. At that moment we had enough. I will say however, Our waiter was quite wonderful and attentive. As we were leaving, I at least expected to be bid a goodbye or farewell just as the previous customers were. NOPE. This is why black people don’t support black business. But I won’t let them deter me from those that actually try.

Italian Food Catering Orange County – Menu with Prices – 1620 Robin Rd, Orange

As a taco man I do a lot of events and I have actually never experienced italian catering before. I went to a baby shower this past weekend with my wife, it was for her cousin out in Orange County. This company setup a buffet style setup with some nice chaffing dishes and had servers serving everything. We had the options for so many different pastas. I think she ordered a pasta bar. We were able to choose spaghetti, along with like 3 other different noodles that I have no idea the names of. Then there was the red spaghetti sauce with meat and one without meat, a white alfredo sauce, a green pesto sauce. For meats, we can choose, chicken, meatballs, italian sausage. They had breadsticks, french bread, and texas toast at the end for us. Man! I so wish I could have taken a picture! I have no idea why I didnt take a picture at the time! Overall I have to give these guys a 5 star rating for being the best italian catering in orange county!

Taquizas Los Chuchys – Menu with Prices – 713 Broadway Ste I, Chula Vista

This has been the worst culinary experience I have ever come across. We ordered catering for 30 people and received what any ordinary person would consider to feed 15 people, maximum. When Maria, the manager delivered the food, she asked for the remaining payment and to my surprise, left without giving us the rest of the order. When I checked the three small half sheet (maybe 12×8) aluminum trays filled with meat, they were only filled to 2/3rds of the way. We also had 1) a shallow half sheet tray of rice and 1) shallow half sheet tray of horrible looking beans that looked liked they came out of a can, so a total of 5 small aluminum trays with tortillas and barely any taco toppings. I called the business and asked for the manger, they said it was Maria, the woman that rudely dropped off the food. Maria called me and I told her I think there was a mistake and we needed the rest of the order. She insisted it was the regular order for 30 people and said she personally saw the trays so the order was not mistaken. My family from out of town were coming over for my uncleâ??s surprise 65th birthday and I had food for 15 people. I begged her to come and see for herself that those three small partially filled trays were not enough food. I asked if she was not going to bring me the rest of the order to feed 30 people, then to come back, pick up the food, and return my money. She said yes, with an attitude and no help when I asked for the information of the owner or another manager. I was astonished at her horrible customer service and horrible perception of food portions. I took my money to @Carnval and bought food for 35 people to eat two times, two days in a row, with food still left over, and it cost me less than what they charged me. I will never order or give business to Chuchis because of the lack of consideration and customer service. I will Never order their catering for big reunions because they will disappoint. Maria, you are rude and very unprofessional.

The Port of Peri Peri Menu with Prices 5005 S Cooper St Ste 163, Arlington

Food: 2/5 – It was actually cold/lukewarm, probably someone else’s meal that was given to me. The sauce is the only thing that gets this category points Decor: 3/5 – decent setup on the inside Customer Service @ Business: 2/5 Customer Service over the phone: 0/5 Would I go back again? Absolutely not. Details below~~~ Went here because they’ve been open for about a month now and wanted to see what all the hype was about with their fire-grilled chicken. Only one other customer was in the restaurant and when I arrived at the register, I noticed that there was no menu available on the wall. Not a big deal, they’re new, they have three-fold paper menus for you to peruse and choose your food from. Cashier didn’t bother explaining the menu or the kind of food options that they had to order. I asked, “what’s the best chicken here?” and was told that, “the I ordered the 1/4 Chicken Breast and Wing with Lemon Herb seasoning and a side of hummus. I asked the cashier how long it would take and he promptly told me 10 minutes. Not a big deal, I thought, since the chicken is supposed to be delicious and fire-grilled, I figured it would be made-to-order. I let him know that’s fine and I would wait. I walked past the cashier area to the silverware/sauce area and asked the cashier if I could get one of the sauces that’s in the refrigerator on the side. He said that they would put the sauce in and that my order was ready. I asked, “Are you sure it’s ready? You said it would be (10) and it’s only been (2) minutes.” He said, “yeah, here you go!” i thought, what a pleasant surprise, I didn’t have to wait the 10 minutes and I got everything I wanted. I grabbed the food and when I got home, I found out that the hummus that I had ordered was not in the bag. So what did I do? I called the number on the receipt. BIG MISTAKE. The number on the receipt rings to a guy who didn’t identify himself, probably the owner, who when I explained the above to him asked, “No no, this is wrong.” I said, “yeah, it’s wrong, I don’t have my hummus, i’m not sure what to do.” He asked, “was the White Woman there?” I said, “dude, I was there for (2) minutes, i’m not sure who all was there but I only saw (2) people.” He asked me who I saw and I explained that there was only a cashier and the cook in the back that I saw, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t more people there. His solution to all of this, the OWNER having his PERSONAL CELL PHONE listed on the receipt and not getting the hummus was, “okay go back and we will give you your hummus or come back another day.” I explained to him that his staff didn’t give me the food I ordered, the manager was likely not there, and whoever set up his business has his personal cell on the first (900) receipts and his solution to just give me the hummus I ordered didn’t make any sense. He asked me what I thought made sense, I explained that “fixing the issue with his personal cell being handed out to all of his customers and the operational issues that I would be happy with two free meals,” roughly $12 retail, probably $4 cost. He said, that I was being unreasonable and that he would not do that. I told him that it’s pretty ducking unreasonable for someone to not give me what I ordered, then I have to explain to the business owner what the heck is going on in his business and help him resolve issues that he has already PAID people to solve for him and I’m asking for (2) meals is pretty unreasonable for him. He told me that he doesn’t need my business and I hung up on him.
