My friend took me here a few weeks ago. Ive been 4 times since and never have I gotten a sub-par burger. It’s honestly at the top of the list of Brownsville’s best burgers. I recommend this place to all my friends. When I got my first burger I thought “I should’ve doubled my meat” because the patty seemed kinda thin. But it’s such a large patty, I almost couldn’t finish it. After writing this review I got thinking about how delicious these burgers are and I’m going right now to get one ?

Joy Love Burgers – Menu with Prices – 6630 FM 1463 Suite A100, Katy

Went there for lunch today with a friend. It was our first time ever in any Joy Love Burgers’ store. Heard so much about the Mason Rd one and then Yelp sent me notification yesterday about the FM 1463 location as Hot place for you ? Well the store is kinda small for the lunch traffic which I believe is being generated from all the good reviews. By the time we finished ordering and getting our drinks a booth opened luckily. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Jalapenos and Fries and my friend ordered a Cheeseburger with Fries. It took 10 – 15 minutes for the order. Service at the counter was good, they were helpful and courteous. My Bacon Cheese Burger tasted very good juicy because of the vegetables not the burger patty, Bacon was crisp and crunchy. My friend did not have much issues with their burger. All they said that this cheeseburger was one level above the McDonald’s Quarter Pounder ? meaning they liked it. The only thing I had an issue with was that why are these new burger stores smashing the patty flat squeezing all the juices out. I think the Bacon Cheeseburger I got could be more juicy if it was prepared without smashing the the burger patty flat during the cook. Also it is pricey for the type of burger.

Kincaid’s Hamburgers – Menu with Prices – 4825 Overton Ridge Blvd Suite 328, Fort Worth

First let me say that I am not giving Kincaid’s 2 stars because of the food. The food is great! The BLT is delicious, the burgers are flavorful, and the fries are crisped to perfection. I also want to note that the manager and staff were all perfectly pleasant and very helpful. However, despite the tasty food and welcoming staff, I have to give 2 stars because of an issue we had with pricing. My boyfriend ordered a bacon hamburger and asked for double meat. The price of a bacon CHEESEburger is $8.50. So here lies problem number one. They don’t offer a bacon hamburger at a slightly lower price since you aren’t buying the cheese. This normally wouldn’t bother me much but then we ran into problem number 2. He asked for a second patty added on thinking he would be charged maybe $2-$3 dollars extra. The cashier never stated the price of the extra patty. When I got my receipt, I noticed the price of his burger went from $8.50 to $14.70. Yes that is correct. $6.20 for an EXTRA PATTY. I spoke with the manager about this to make sure it wasn’t a mistake. Turns out, people have been making the same complaint for years and the owners have yet to do anything about it. She was very respectful and apologetic and I told her I knew it wasn’t her fault but $6 for an extra patty is absolutely absurd. I’m hoping that this review can hopefully refresh the idea of fixing the prices at this establishment.

Burgerim Gourmet Burgers – Halal – Menu with Prices – 44029 Osgood Rd #140, Fremont

I don’t know if it’s just us who have noticed, but for a while now, it seems like Burger IM is popping up EVERYWHERE. Interested to see what they have to offer, the hubby and I stopped by for an early Sunday lunch. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived, but considering the space, it could certainly host large groups thanks to the plethora of seats. The menu, while clear, does take some time to navigate. Burger IM offers your usual burgers that you would expect at most burger joints, but to stand out from the crowd, it also offers the duo and trio which allows you to select two or three different mini hamburgers. Wanting to try some variety, the hubby and I both went for the duo. He chose the Angus beef and crispy fried chicken while I got the Merguez beef and the UNCUT burger (plant-based patty), both with swiss cheese instead of cheddar. We also shared a “half&half” side of onion rings and sweet potato fries While it was neat to try four different burgers, it also meant the kitchen had to MAKE four different burgers which definitely ate into the service. We waited for an uncomfortable amount of time for our food and we were the only ones there. We hate to think how long it would have taken if there was a crowd… Presentation isn’t necessarily a strong suit, but everything looked fresh. I was bummed to see that for our side, there were only three onion rings on a bed of sweet potato fries that were thankfully fried perfectly. As for the burgers, the hubby and I loved each patty immensely. You could really taste the difference and I was blown away by the plant-based patty. It was so juicy! The Merguez patty was filled with aromatic spices and the Angus beef was cooked well. We weren’t too fond of the sesame buns, wishing it was toasted more. For the amount of food we got, prices are more than reasonable. Burger IM was such pleasant surprise, giving us the chance to try four different patties in one hearty, delicious meal. I’m certain we will come back again!

hit the spot! – Menu with Prices – 4615 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland

Tried for the first time yesterday and went back for more today. This is probably my favorite burger of all time. I love burgers but my tastes run pretty basic. I hate huge topping overloaded crap where it’s just a greasy mess of too many different flavors glopped together. What I do like is texture and balance and that’s what makes these burgers magic. I don’t know if I’m in the minority but I only learned about smash burgers like year. I think these are the only ones I’ve had that were what I imagined and hoped that they’d be. This burger hits all the marks in pretty much perfect proportion. The bread is soft and has that nice little bit of chewiness. Tomatoes are just the size and amount I like (not too much, not too thick). Good amount of shredded iceberg crunch. Tasty and tangy chipotle aioli. Most important, that goddamn patty has that crunchy crust coming through on every single bite. I think that patty has ruined me for all other burgers. The fries aren’t as magnificent on the fry scale as their burger is on the burger scale but they’re in my favorite style (shoe string) and they were fresh so not a major complaint, though I wish there were more of em. Also, both times they were a little on the salty side.

Johnson’s Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 5200 Monticello Rd, Columbia

Oh my Gosh! You have not had a burger until you have had a Johnson’s Burger. I heard about the burgers on Facebook, so I could not wait to try it. My daughter and I were debating whether we wanted to share one, so glad we decided against it. The Johnson’s burger is a 1/2 pound of beef, seasoned to perfection (not salty) cooked well-done (no pink for me) with the juices flowing through it. With every bite we would look at each other and say, “THIS is a good burger”. I’m embarrassed to admit I ate the whole thing, the young one could not hang, but did finish it up the next day. These burgers exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait to visit them again! Oh yeah, the lasagna and cinnamon rolls are delicious too!

Diamond Station – Menu with Prices – 2280 Bardstown Rd, Louisville

I lowered my rating by one star from my last year’s review. Management has changed a number of things that resulted in my lowered rating. First, for the good thing. The atmosphere and décor has been lightened. Now, the walls are white with red trim. A pool table is still located right at the door and the bar is still small. But, those things are not bad at all. The thing that lowered the rating for me was the change in the menu and the taste of the burgers that we bought. The changed menu is much more limited than the previous one. Plus, the burgers have no character in the changed menu and the meat of the burgers has no flavor. The burgers from the previous menu were juicy and flavorful; however, neither my burger, the ‘Beer burger’, nor my beau’s burger had any real flavor. This thoroughly disappointed me. The Beer burger is so named because of the type of cheese that is offered as an option. My choice, the Sriracha cheese, tasted nice along with the caramalized onions and grilled red peppers that were on the burger. It’s just a shame that the meat had no flavor. I probably will not try this sports bar again because there are entirely too many places in Louisville to get a burger whose meat actually has some flavor.Though, on a positive note, the service was prompt and friendly.

Black Market Meal Prep – Menu with Prices – 424 S Main St, Orange

This place is ok, I’m not sure what the hype is all about. I appreciate the younger crowd and young business owner, hopefully this review can be useful to them. I paid $15 + tip for a burger meal with a water for a drink. If I had gotten a drink, it would have been almost $20 total for just myself. Pretty expensive for a fast-food restaurant, I can spend less money eating at a full-service restaurant like Island Burgers. I’m not seeing where my money is going, aside from substituting lettuce with raw arugula or raw collards. When I got my burger, I was expecting it to be ridiculously tasty, or at least a large effort should have been made to make everything from scratch. The buns have fancy burn marks on them, but they’re not made fresh in-house. The tomatoes on my burger were pink and tough, not red and juicy. My burger patty came well-done and was somewhat dry, I would have ordered it medium-well if I was given the option. The sweet potato fries must be frozen, I want to say they’re the same as the frozen fries that I buy from Trader Joe’s. This place has some fresh ingredients, and the interior of the restaurant is trendy and clean. But again, I’m not sure where my money went. If this were anywhere in the Midwest, paying that much money would mean I’d be eating one of the best burgers ever.

Gourmet Burger – Menu with Prices – 2431 N Tustin Ave suite R2, Santa Ana

This little mom-and-pop shop has some real good burgers. My partner and I eat here from time to time as it is our favorite halal burger place in the area. His go-to order is the spicy burger and mine is the sautéed mushroom burger. We always get our burgers protein style/lettuce-wrapped, which I recommend eating on-the-spot as lettuce wraps can go limp real fast. Their burgers are fresh and tasty with the perfect amount of melted cheese. Lettuce and jalapeños are always crisp. My partner likes the thickness of the patties, but I personally like a patty on the thicker side. No worries though, as you can always request for a double patty. Recently, we ordered their gourmet wings coated in their house-made sauce. The wings were juicy, crunchy, and flavorful. Halfway through our meal, one of the cooks came up to us and apologized because we were only served five wings instead of six. We had no idea and so she gave us the one chicken wing we were apparently missing. She was really apologetic about it but we were totally unaware and appreciated her going out of her way to give us what she thought we deserved. It was really sweet of her to do that, but we really had no idea, and it made us love this place a little more than we already do.

Norman Cafe – Menu with Prices – 93 Norman Ave, Brooklyn

Underwhelmed by dinner here. Made my own bowl and it didn’t at all resemble what you might imagine as a grain bowl. Perhaps it was a fast food kinda version? The burger was really sad and unappetizing looking. The soy patty was really bland. I can imagine their burritos being good so will try those, and I’m also curious about the breakfast tacos. I’ll give it another shot, but won’t be ordering bowls or burgers. On another note, how about greening it up a bit? You’re a veg cafe and ok if you don’t want silverware or real dishes to wash, but at least consider biodegradable forks, etc? And a few large squeeze bottles of ketchup instead of individual small packets. Come on, get with the times.

Lime N Dime – Menu with Prices – 1445 Los Rios Blvd Suite 201, Plano

We had a large order and almost every burger we got was wrong. (No pickles/ no tomato kind of thing) I went up to the front with my receipt to tell the lady and she asked me if Iâ??m sure I checked all the burgers… I obviously checked all the burgers before going up.. but I told her yes.. and I gave her the burger… we got the burger back and saw they just picked off the toppings we didnâ??t want and gave it back. I wouldâ??ve given this place 1 star for service but because the burger is good Iâ??m giving 2. If any one of us were allergic to those ingredients it wouldâ??ve ended so bad. If you have a small order, itâ??s fine. Donâ??t come here for a large order because someone will be confused. We were actually charged for a burger we didnâ??t even order, but we decided it would be pointless to go back up there from how we were taken care of the first time. The wings are okay, not as saucey as i thought theyâ??d be. Burgers are better.

Burgerim Gourmet Burgers – Menu with Prices – 120 W CityLine Dr Suite 600, Richardson

Came for the grand opening and honestly was super disappointed. Waited in line for about like 45 min before opening really hungry and ready to get this free burger and buy some fries and etc. They had like 2 vendors come out and a DJ and had lots of balloons and what not. Finally after waiting in the heat they open the doors at 12:05pm and only let 10 ppl at a time. Me and my bf get inside and we get to “order” and by that I mean they had pre made burgers sitting out and we only got to choose from 2 options the grilled chicken or the regular burger. So now that I didnt get to try the burger I wanted to try ( assuming we could choose any burger since the advertising said free burger.. you would think it would be any of their burgers that you could choose from) we ordered a fries and grabbed our burger from the counter (who knows how long it’s been sitting in the back already made) We sit down the burger is pretty small and super sad. The veggies looked super non existant. I opened the burger and finally found it hiding. The burger was sooo dry and super chewy. Like some frozen patty that you get at your school cafeteria lunch. It was so bad I would not pay like 8 bucks for this. The fries finally came out after we finished our burger and we had to go up there to ask when our fries were done. They had it just sitting up there and no one delivering to our table.. The fries were so small.. and it was like potato chips? It was definitely better than the burgers but still so pricy for the amount of fries and size of it. Also what was really annoying was there was nothing on the table. At least have some napkins… you have to grab everything at a station which was annoying to do when theres a bunch of ppl in the store. Giving 2 stars cause they tried and gave free burgers but honestly this just made me realize why these burger IM have bad reviews and that the quality of these burgers is defin not worth the price. In and out is a million times better than this and cheaper go there instead.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers – Menu with Prices – 3220 N 27th St, Lincoln

Went with the family, usual new restaurant buzz. They ordered the Texas toast hot dogs, and I was craving a big burger. Never have I ever been jealous of a hot dog over a burger, until our visit there. My burger was pathetic. It was thinner than any burger I ever had, including the cheapest burgers at McDonald’s for .88 cents… I was more melted cheese than anything… And to pay over $6 for an embarrassment of a burger meal… Freddie’s realizes it’s in Nebraska, right? Maybe that sorry excuse of a burger is considered “good” where beef is a little more scarce, but not here. Never been back, we go to Honest Abe’s across the street, same kind of fries, but their burgers actually contain hamburger meat, plus a ton of other awesome flavors… we get our money’s worth there. Freddie’s is a hard pass from here on out.
