Always excellent food. The chicken and waffles are my personal favorite. Perfectly cooked waffle with juicy chicken that has a good crunch and real maple syrup served on the side. The chicken has been underseasoned one of the two times I’ve tried but I’d been adventuring hard all week and was craving salt like a fiend so my taste buds were an unreliable judge. The breakfast sandwich and polenta with greens are also delicious and for a dinner option, the burger is perfectly simple and delicious. They’re also always refreshing their menus. Classics like the buttermilk waffle are always there but I love seeing what new specials and regular menu items they’re playing with. And they’re really nice about substitutions: don’t eat pork but want a veggie option? They’ll offer to sub a couple eggs no extra charge. This is my favorite Bend food truck. Plus, being set next to Spoken Moto, my favorite coffee shop, makes this a totally winning location.

The Bald Strawberry – Menu with Prices – 427 5th Ave, Indialantic

This place is quite unique and cozy. The staff is always friendly and the decor is cute. Menu-wise they have good options, but recently they’ve decided to axe one of my most favorite things, the Buffalo Chicken Waffle Pizza. I get the whole vegan vibe as my very best friend is vegan and we always go here together. I, however, am not vegan and really appreciated that there was delicious options for both of us. Hell finding ANYWHERE that can satisfy our opposing food tastes is a miracle. They’ve removed a meat option for the waffle pizzas, but still have meat for the sandwiches…. So the sudden change to no meat for the waffle pizzas really makes no sense. The other waffle pizzas are good, don’t get me wrong. But the buffalo chicken one was truly a shining star. Having one of those unsatisfiable cravings is a bummer. It’s hard to find good places for legit food. This used to be one of my favorite places for lunch, but now that my fave is gone (with no hopes of a comeback as I understand) I’m on the hunt for a new place for lunch.

Fusion Lounge – Menu with Prices – 6915 Dixie Rd #4, Mississauga

My boyfriend & I have been regulars at fusion for quite sometime now, the staff is amazing. The service is even better. Ive been to the other sisha lounge in brampton just to see the difference and fusion was by far a better option, heck we left after 30 minutes & went to fusion instead. I was there about 2 weeks ago now & when we went to get up and pay I literally fainted and fell to the ground. The staff was awesome, the owner sat with me ans explained that it was ok and its happened before because of course I was embrassed. As soon as I woke up theyre was a pop in my face and the owner did not let us leave until he felt like I would be okay and I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the owner and the staff at fusion lounge for theyre outstanding service everytime. This is always my go to spot to hang out with friends. 10/10 recommended

Little Big Burger – Menu with Prices – 7711 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland

This has been my favorite Little Big Burger location since it opened! Unlike other locations, they don’t blast the music so loud you can’t hear yourself think, which I and my ears really appreciate. There’s plenty of space, it’s very clean, and the employees have always been really friendly. I am really disappointed, though, by the recent change to their veggie burger option. I had come to love Little Big Burger as one of the top 5 veggie burgers in Portland, but the new offering is hugely disappointing. It seems to be some sort of flavorless textured soy protein deal, which is the worst kind of vegetarian burger, and it’s way too big for the bun size, making it difficult to eat. This used to be one of my regular burger places, but I don’t know that I’ll be going back now that they don’t have a good vegetarian option.

Penne For Your Thoughts – Menu with Prices – 2042 Town Center Blvd #177, Knoxville

I really don’t want to call ” Penne for Your Thoughts” a food truck. The food is easily on par with several fine dining Italian restaurants. The quality of the food served is superior to what most people consider “food truck dining.” If you dine here, you must order the Fried Ravioli. The Fried Ravioli makes an excellent appetizer and you will find yourself ordering it on every return visit. I also highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. It’s topped with red sauce and sits on a bed of pesto, which I think is genius. I have never had Chicken Parmesan with pesto before and will always seek that option, from now on. Additionally, I have sampled their Waffle Fries with Parmesan and also recommend giving them a try. There is one suggestion I would make. I think they should offer a side order of their Waffle Fries with their Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, as an option. They would pair well and their current pricing structure forces anyone who would like to enjoy Waffle Fries with their sandwich to pay a full appetizer price instead of an up-charge, for a smaller portion. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes fine Italian food. You won’t be disappointed!

Thai Valley – Menu with Prices – 4600 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago

I am so confused as to why this place dont got one star as average rating.. this is some of the WORSE food (not only thai but all cuisines) I ever tasted and honey, mama know good food. I got some pad thai and some tempura and honey… the flavor no where to be found even the flavor been ran away from this sad excuse for a restaurant. The tempura was soggy and greasy and you can tell its not even a proper tempura batter (Mama love some tempura dont mess w me okay) and the pad thai… oh lord have mercy. They shoulda called it pad die bc it stank, looked, and tasted more bland than a unbaked Popeye biscuit. Them noodles actually stank yall. I just know a raw biscuit woulda tasted better than that meal from this place. Anyone who says this food is good is playing you and themselves and had their taste buds burnt off by some pad die. Not to mention their prices are taxed, it was over 20 dollars for my meal, how theyre able to afford their rent is a blessing and a curse. Do not eat here and go to any of the thai places on Western ave, I know youll be eating better. This place got nothing on Sticky Rice!!! This place does not serve food its inedible mess please do the neighborhood a favor and just close baby make room for some good cooking!!

Waffle Stop – Menu with Prices – 2710 N Proctor St, Tacoma

My parents recently moved nearby Waffle Stop and we had a super good breakfast here! As their name suggests, their speciality is in their waffles. I ordered the Wake N Waffle selection with the Pearl Sugar Waffle and the chicken apple sausage. The Place: Bright and lively aesthetic that perfectly fits that good-morning/bright and early happy attitude that you need to get started with your day. The Food: Wake N Waffle – came with two eggs (any style), hash browns, and a protein with your choice of waffle. The Pearl Sugar Waffle is basically the essence of a funnel cake in the form of a waffle. Not as fluffy as a classic Belgian waffle, but fluffy enough with a distinctive crispy and not too sweet flavor that will definitely remind you of a funnel cake. Their chicken apple sausage is house-made and extremely well seasoned. I admit the combo of a sweet waffle with all the savory breakfast food was a bit overwhelming, but the quality was super good! The portion size was perfect and filling for starting your day off right ? Definitely looking forward to more breakfasts here in the future!

Pho Tre Bien Cafe – Menu with Prices – 12302 Montana Ave #502, El Paso

So i really wanted to give this place 4 stars at least but i both me and my husband agree that the banh mi and the small bowl of pho that comes with the pho and banh mi combo are just not as good. I am however super impressed by their options and based it off a cafe theme with their nice spread of desserts and coffee. I tried their japanese cheesecake to go a while ago and although tasty, it was a bit too dry and thrist inducing for my liking. They also have this nice brunch option of skillets and this is where they offered half a bahn mi and a mini pho bowl option. It can only have the special viet ham banh mi for this option which i can understand why. It wasnt my favorite choice of meats. I was at least able to get the brisket option for my mini pho bowl but there wasnt much meat neither compared to the 5$ mini bowl options at the other locations. My husband stuck to his beef banh mi as usual. He did not like how the bread was prepared here. It was too toasted to the point of stabbing himself on his lips from the bread. Perhaps they needa make sure they dont use bread thats too dried out already. Well they also offer military discounts on Monday at least so maybe if we would be in the area that day, we may go back.

Bacchus and Brown Menu with Prices 1810 E 12th St, Austin

Hidden gem (new food spot on the east side) alert…everything is so good here. We ordered two entrees and three sides off the menu because we couldn’t decide what we wanted most (everything sounds so so good) and the pricing is awesomely reasonable. I’m hoping the Chef (who came from Hillside?) will bottle up her housemade bacon jam and sell it to people like me who want their friends to think they’re clever in the kitchen. I’m pretty sure it’s bacon and onion with some other addictive magical ingredients mixed in. We learned that all menu items are freshly housemade each day. Pro tip: they’re currently open on Sundays only. Noon until 7:30pm! Entrees we ordered: 1. Buttermilk Fried Chicken Beignet Sliders in a Sweet & Spicy Sauce with green onions (my favorite!). These are delicious and would pair well with a half order of bacon jam fries (if you eat here, you have to try the bacon jam). 2. Beef Beignet Sliders with White Cheddar, Housemade Bacon Jam, Aioli, Arugula and Fried Egg (my husband’s favorite) delicious and filling 3. Sweet Potato Hash with jalepeño, red onion, white cheddar, over easy fried egg (this is my healthy-option favorite) Sides we ordered: 1. Bacchus Housemade Bacon Jam Fries with white cheddar, green onions (we got the half order) – let’s get real. These fries are an excuse to eat more bacon jam. I’m not complaining. Seriously order something with bacon jam on it. 2. Beignet (order of 3) – these are basically a low-sugar donut for adults. If you haven’t had one of these in the big easy itself, slide over to east 12th street. They’re freshly housemade and delicious – fried pastry with powdered sugar on top. 3. Sweet Potato Hash with jalepeños, onions, and cheese (this is my healthy-option favorite – comes with a fried egg over easy on top) Notable: Fun atmosphere with skee-ball and picnic tables inside and fun outside backyard with picnic tables. Football playing on tvs at the bar with nice beer selection and ***prosecco on tap***!! Thank you Full Circle Bar for adding this fun and delicious food stop.

The Exchange – Menu with Prices – 200 N College Ave Unit D, Fort Collins

So I meant to include a picture with my review but as you can see there was no time to do so before I completely devoured every bite. Fried chicken is one of my most favorite things in the world, and chicken and waffles has always held a special place in my tummy’s heart. Not only is the chicken goddamn delicious and juicy and crispy and perfectly sauced (I got the yellow BBQ) but it’s totally stuffed all the way to the bottom of the cone so every last bite has chicken and waffle. The waffle itself is sweet but not sugary, so the flavor balance is perfect and the cone is thin and crispy but still rigid enough to hold itself together without getting soggy from the chicken’s sauce. And I am nothing if not incredibly cheap, and I found the combo to be an excellent deal (I know I’ve been raving about the cone but the fries are good too). Fast, friendly, freaking delicious, and not to mention one of the most perfect examples of a successful business model by doing one thing cheaply but still with high quality, this place is now one of my top 10 places ever! From what I can see from their website it looks like they are a new but very fast growing chain, and I salute whoever put this place and these recipes together and hope all their expansion plans go well. Every neighborhood deserves their own Chick’nCone! ?

J. Christopher’s – Menu with Prices – 1275 Powers Ferry Rd, Marietta

Alysia, our server, was in training, and I was a challenge to her. I remembered that in the past I was told that I could feel free to ask for substitutions at J Christopher. I ordered the turkey avocado skillet without any turkey, maybe just throw in a few veggies of any kind. My husband suggested â??something like the veggie omelet ingredients.â? When it came, it was SO delicious! I hated to complain that there was no avocado in it. I did mention it to her, but said do not give me avocado as it was already delicious. It was because my husband had suggested just putting in the veggie omelet ingredients. No problem.. Before I knew it, Ryan, Alysiaâ??s trainer, appeared with a small bowl of avocado slices. That made the skillet super delicious!. Really, this veggie skillet ought to be on the menu!. Both Ryan and Alysia made us feel so welcome and well served with their gracious, friendly hospitality. We no longer live close to this Christopher, but we will no doubt want to get back when we can because of these good spirited servers who did everything they could to make us happy and well fed. .

The Grand on Main – Menu with Prices – 1621 Main St, Columbia

I’m a fan of The Grand for many reasons: The simple fact that they offer the Beyond Burger on their menu is huge for a non-vegetarian/vegan restaurant and is a delightful alternative to the standard flat veggie patty most restaurants reluctantly offer. The Grand Trio of Dips is mouth-wateringly delicious, especially the pimento cheese. The chili-lime chips are a unique and welcome change from plain tortilla chips. It is also so rare to see waffle fries on a menu that isn’t Chick-fil-A, and The Grand really blow them out of the water. The tap room is a pretty cool concept, and although I am not a beer drinker, the people I was with enjoyed it greatly. You get a wristband that is linked to your tab so you can refill at your own pace and sample by the ounce without waiting on a server. The patio is well-done and super cute also – a nice place to relax! They have trivia on a regular basis and the Disney trivia I went to was great. Despite having about 60 teams playing, it was well-organized. They obviously spent some quality time on coming up with challenging questions, because as a self-proclaimed Disney aficionado, I was stumped on several and ended up coming in third. My only complaints would be that it is often understaffed, leading to long wait times and gaps in attention from the server, and that it is a little cramped at times because of its popularity and small quarters. Overall, I love The Grand and it’s one of my go-to spot when I have people visit from out of town due to the food and beverage quality and general ambiance.
