We stopped by Marlins/Chronic Tacos today. Loved everything about it. Nice beer selection as well as a full bar. We shared the pretzel stuffed with their house-made cheese sauce and it was fantastic. Then we shared the potato skins – also house-made and delicious. Unlike any potato skins you’ve had. We were skeptical about the use of Swiss cheese rather than the traditional cheddar, but it was perfect. If I could make recommendation it would be to serve the potato skins on a platter rather than in a bowl. While the food and drinks were fantastic the best part of our experience was the staff. We had two servers and both were friendly and engaging. It was clear that they enjoy working there. We forgot to take photos of our delicious food but we did take a photo of the Black and Tans we ordered. They poured them so that it looked like there must be a plate of glass between the black and the tan. Amazing.

Perry’s Embarcadero – Menu with Prices – 155 Steuart St, San Francisco

I was invited to a ladies afternoon in SF. We would be dining at Perry’s. I came to yelp, and the most unappealing picture of breadsticks were the header. I became concerned. Fortunately, the other pictures, plus the stars gave me hope. I was looking forward to trying the calamari and potato skins. The pics were amazing! We caught the bart so I’m not sure about the parking. The location is relatively close walking distance from Embarcadero bart. The entrance is actually to a hotel. So you wait in the lobby of the hotel if you are waiting for other members of your party. The hotel’s front desk employees were very polite. They told us to help ourselves to the coffee/tea area while we waited. She even offered to take a picture of us. We had a reservation, so after everyone arrived we were seated. The restuarant had a nice ambiance. Nice bar area. Large windows and a view of the bridge. The calamari and potato skins weren’t on the brunch menue. I asked the waitress and she took the initiative to try to accommodate me. I ordered eggs benedict as an alternative, I’m not difficult, I can compromise. She came back a few minutes later and said I could have my original request. I was so happy! Btw, our waitress was amazing. We had a fairly large party and she handled it with ease! Smiled the ENTIRE time. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name. Everyone’s food looked really good! My skins were A 1!!! Perfection. Lots of bacon and cheese. I ate it with a knife and fork. The calamari was just alright. It was bland. The crunch was there but hardly any flavor. Salt would have made all the difference. Disappointing Something that made the experience underwhelming was the proximity of the kitchen. Every so often (more than twice), you would be hit with a burning smell. Then everyone looks around wondering what is it that’s burning. And you hope it’s not something being brought out to your table. All in all. The food is good. I HIGHLY reccomend the potato skins!

Wings ‘N Things – Menu with Prices – 7814 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton

Where do I start….first of all DON’T let the looks of the shopping complex/exterior fool you. This is a hidden gem!!! First we stared off with potato skins and onion rings….haven’t had potato skins in years and they were great and the onion rings were AMAZING! Then we got the 30 pc wings with 3 different flavors on each set of 10. The Asian was awesome, sweet with a teriyaki kick to them, the Sweet Blackened were probably our favorite with kind of a sweet and smoky taste to them and then the Medium were tangy with a little kick to them. By far these were the best wings I’ve had in years!! The service was great on top of everything so we will definitely be back!!!

Fourth Street Market & Deli – Menu with Prices – 300 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa

I have been coming here for years for their potato salad.. which is off the charts good. Yesterday I finally decided to try their sandwiches and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Great quality meats and bread. The soft roll was actually soft. Very delicious. I may go back today for seconds hehe The staff has always been nothing short of amazing as well. I have never had a bad experience with anyone working there. It was always made clear that they wanted to make sure I had been helped. Very positive vibes. Love this place. Pay the dollar 99 extra and get a sandwich from here instead of safeway. (which sucks anyway)

Main Event Frisco – Menu with Prices – 9375 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco

We had a fantastic time at Main Event! Our family of six started with dinner. The sampler appetizer was perfect. Enough of everything for all to enjoy. For the entrees several of us ordered the skillet Mac & cheese. It’s really good! Our daughters enjoyed the burgers too. Our server Bri was wonderful. Attentive, friendly and took great care of us. Then we went bowling and enjoyed that too. Their lanes are fun and everything is so clean and well maintained. And all of the staff was friendly and super helpful. After that we had time to play games in the arcade and we all shared a giant ice cream sundae called the Big Fun Sunday. It’s huge and oh so good. You won’t eat this yourself. Five of us shared it and we could a barely finish it. It had fresh baked cookies. Fresh made donut holes and several types of ice cream. We all loved it. And best of all we were all able to sit at the table and enjoy it together and talk, laugh and enjoy each other’s company as well as a great dessert. The arcade was fun for all of us. The machines are well maintained with a great variety for all ages. It was a great way to spend an being with our family. We look forward to going back again soon!

Buffalo Ranch Wings & Things – Menu with Prices – 4315 E Shields Ave, Fresno

Went with the wifey for boneless wing Monday $0.50 Wings (Min 6 per order / flavor). We got the Medium, Garlic Parm and Spicy Seasoning. Along with an order of Potato Skins. The Potato Skins were AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Will defiantly be getting those again. $6 for 6 Skins with a good amount of potato let on them with cheese (assume its cheddar) bacon and green onions. The boneless wings. They were large in size and cooked good. very crispy outside and tender, juicy inside. The Spice Seasoning, well, still not really sure what it is… Obviously a dry rub. Didn’t notice any “spicy”… The Garlic Parm, well… It was dry garlic and parm on top of a naked wing. The medium, well… Tasted like any generic “hot” wing. Butter and generic hot sauce (flavor wise very similar to the well know brand FRH). I asked them about trying other flavors. They said they did not have a sampler plate (WHY NOT?!?), but I could try the sauce by them selves for free. I tried the three hottest sauces. Hot, well. Seemed identical to the Medium, but with less butter. Making it well, hotter! Suicide, well. This flavor should have been the hot flavor. It was a little grainy, probably from added dry spice (Red Pepper?). I liked this flavor!! Then the Atomic!! Compared to the Suicide, I didn’t find this flavor hotter, just a different flavor. I preferred the flavor of the Atomic over the Suicide. Why 4 stars? The food and service was great! The Boneless Wings, just seemed to be missing something.. Not sure what it was. Will be back to try out the Traditional Wings. While we were eating, they took several to go orders by phone. This seemed to be a popular way for locals to pick up orders. All in all, this is a great little mom and pop wing place in an old Taco Bell building. There is not much in the way of tables (4 total inside). However, they do have free refills. Mondays are $0.50 Boneless Wings and Wednesdays are $0.60 Traditional Wings. They are well worth checking out.

GoGanics LLC Menu with Prices 5803 Oakleaf Ave #3304, Baltimore

We recently had GoGanics food truck at our house for a birthday/housewarming party. They were fantastic! The ladies working the truck were friendly and super energetic. The food was amazing! There was not a single complaint from any of our guests. They were creative with the menu, allowing guests to combine or customize items. It was a great experience and even more importantly, it was deliciously amazing food!

Chandelier Bakery – Menu with Prices – 5206 NE 78th St, Vancouver

This place makes me so happy ? Vancouver keeps gaining all these fantastic little eat spots! Tried out this fairly new bakery (Open around one year now they said) on a mid Sunday morning and could not have been happier. Charmingly renovated house with a beautiful bakery case of sweets and savories. We shared their house mocha with hemp milk, a bacon and cheese croissant, and a house cinnamon roll. Everything was fresh, well balanced in flavor, texture, and I especially appreciate that the cinnamon roll wasn’t overly dry on the outside- perfectly tender and gooey throughout! Really impressed with the low prices as well. Nice staff. Will return here again.

Holly Hop Ice Cream Shoppe – Menu with Prices – 3404 34th St, Lubbock

I have been working at Holly Hop for almost 3 months now. And honestly itâ??s an amazing place to be. All my coworkers are amazing and they are so sweet and friendly. Everyone who comes in we all try our best to say hello and make sure they get amazing service. And I especially love our regulars. We have one elderly gentleman who comes in every day to get a vanilla milkshake no whip cream no cherry. Every single day. And another who comes in and always gets a chile cheese dog and a fountain soda. The experience we get working behind the counter to getting to know all of the coworkers is amazing. I first came here when I was little with my Nana and now sheâ??s doing the same with my little cousins, wouldnâ??t trade that experience for the world!

Bonfire Mongolian Grill – Menu with Prices – 1767 Wilma Rudolph Blvd A, Clarksville

The temperature in the establishment is absolutely not ok. I spoke to some of the servers (all of them sweating like they just ran a marathon) and asked them to turn the AC on. They informed me that it was on and it wasn’t working. I spoke to several people who were also dining there and they said this has been going on for quite some time. The servers said this has been a continuous complaint and they are trying to get it fixed. To have the customers sweating while they eat is one thing, but to have the employees in this establishment running food around all day, I am surprised nobody has quit yet. God only knows how hot it is in the kitchen. I am furious that the owners haven’t done something about this yet. It is ridiculous. It was 85 degrees in there when I was eating. If this is how this company treats employees then I don’t know how they have anyone working….the food is fantastic though, and the service is amazing, despite them running through the bowels of hell to get us our food.

Sunriver Brewing Co. – Oakway Pub – Menu with Prices – 329 Oakway Rd, Eugene

OMG good! Both the beer and the food. The reason for the 4/5 stars are the chairs. Can’t relax in them and if you’re on the larger side, you don’t fit. Come on and give us some comfortable (not trendy cheap) seating. Now onto the beer; lots of choices for everyone. I liked the “Popular Demand” hazy IPA best, but really they’re all good. The Food was AMAZING! I hope it’s not a fluke; opening day hijinx. We had 1/2 order (yes you can) of beer cheese nachos. Every bite had cheese and goop on it. If you like cilantro, the cilantro-lime sauce is to die for! Perfect for two. Oh so good… Then we shared the tacos, one of each: blackened fish, black beans, and chicken. All were good, but the fish and the black beans were the favorites. Don’t be afraid of the bean taco, it’s delicious and will surprise you carnivores. Well definitely be back to try more off the menu. I almost forgot to mention our server Extrordinaire, Geoff. He was friendly, helpful and fun. Thanks for the great service and recommendations!

Paprika Seafood and Mexican Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1518 N 23rd St, McAllen

The food is honestly heavenly. The reason why I have it a two stars is because they take for ever. The first time I went I got a baked potato. It was delicious. The cheese, meat and bacon were real. Not fake. I went a second time for the delicious potato I get no bacon this time. I go a third time and I get no bacon again nor sour cream. I pick up for lunch for work. So going back was going to waste my time. The third one was a bit sour. I don’t know if something was spoiled or what. I went three times because of the heavenly potato they served me the first time that never happened. I miss that potato. They take over 20 min for a baked potato. The third time I called it in 12 minutes away and I still waited 13 minutes for it. Staff is not friendly and most of the time you see them chit chatting through the window… la tercera es la vencida. Not going anymore.

Josephine’s Soul Food – Menu with Prices – 902 Lagrange St, Toledo

I want to start by saying, customer service was SUPERB. extremely friendly. Everyone who walked out of the kitchen said hello to me and how are you! However, I waited about 25 mins before I received my food. We didn’t get drinks until the food was served and I had to ask for them. The drink options were limited (koolaid & I believe pop from a vending machine, maybe more but I wasn’t told ) which I have no issue with. It made it more of a authentic and genuine experience in my mind lol. Im sad to say food was underwhelming bland . The potatoes very buttery but that’s about all of the flavor. The spaghetti lacked meatiness and real flavor. Catfish was nothing special but it was seasoned very well. The Mac and cheese was separated and noodles were overcooked.. nice flavor… not “wowed”. Yams were delicious! I was brought two samples to try ( potato salad & some other type of dressing) best part of my meals! The potato salad was the BEST I’ve ever had. I will be back because the customer service was amazing; and the reviews on all social media platforms are amazing for this place! #blackpower Total was 21$ something!
