Been here twice now while in town on business. Very slow service my first round. Today prompts my review though. I arrived to at least 5 Open tables (unoccupied). But it appeared unable to seat as they were all dirty. I stood around for a few minutes amongst them to flag down the first staff member that walked by. I asked if I could have a table cleaned to seat. I was met with a very sarcastic rude tone of…. ” I am sure someone will be by to clean them” while walking away. I waited for about 4 minutes still standing amongst the tables viewed by several staff. To include my eventual server. I say this as the server with the attitude went over, leaned in and whispered to her, in which she turned and looked directly at me. That server after another 4 minutes (timed while still standing at the dirty tables) finally walked within ear shot. I again asked if I could seat at one of the tables. I was told I could sit at any of them and they would be back to clean. I questioned this as the table still had not only debris, but clipboards, receipts and cash tips. How would the server know If I was a new customer waiting to be served, or the previous. I was told that this was there section, so they would know. While waiting saw two other customers having to seat at dirty tables. I chose to stand until it was ready. directed to sit at a dirty table and wait until they came around to clean. Food was faster this time – quality

The Backlot – Menu with Prices – 4005 South Ave A, Springfield

Unless you are rushed in making a movie time, do not waste your time. My husband and I decided to try this restaurant last night (and we weren’t even going to a movie). From the moment we walked in, it was chaos. The place is a little dirty, and the roof was leaking onto a few of the tables. After finding a table, a server finally came to our table. We explained that it was our first time there. She brought menus and explained that because they were seating 300 people in the theater, we would have a wait for our food. Since this was date night, we had no problem waiting (as long as we could get some drinks and snacks). We looked over the menu and waited (and waited and waited). Finally, my husband suggested that we go somewhere else. We got up, put on our coats, and walked out. Our server was standing outside the door and looked at us. She saw us leaving and did not say one word to us. If you are looking for a place to have a special night out with someone, this is not it. Many other places in Springfield will value your business. We went to one of our favorite places (Black Sheep) which was packed wall-to-wall. We were immediately seated, had a server at our table in 2 minutes, and were enjoying drinks in 10 minutes. We won’t be back. Team Backlot, do better.

Rusty Putter Lounge – Menu with Prices – 891 DeMarco Dr, Henderson

I really hate to leave a negative review for a local business because I really think they deserve success. But dang, this place is run so poorly! We went there to see a local band. We tried to sit in a booth then this guy kept getting up and blocking our view, then we realized it was the bands soundman. Ok fine, we will move. I saw a couple get from a table so we will sit there once the table is cleaned. 10 mins goes by, no one cleans it. We sat at the bar and waited until it was cleaned. Someone finally cleared the dirty dishes but didn’t clean it. We were clearly waiting for the table when some people walked in and also wanted the table. I politely told them we were waiting for the table. Then this woman who I understand is one of the owners says “Did you put a reservation on the table” I told her no, we were waiting for someone to wipe it clean. In the mean time, there were two tables pushed together to make an 8 top with two people sitting on it. They could have broken it apart and sat the four people who were uncomfortably sitting at the bar. The people had enough and left. That couple hogged that table of 8 the entire time we were there. The owners didn’t do a thing, that was just poor business. We ordered drinks and they came out at a normal time. We decided to get nachos. While we were waiting, the place started to warm up. It had to be at least 80 degrees in there. 30 minutes went by (no exaggerating) and no nachos. After 20 minutes, the server comes by and tells us it’s on the way. The nachos never showed up. Now we have had enough so I went to the bar to settle the bill. The server comes out and says she can make them to go. No thanks, we ordered them so we could eat them there. Not that it’s their fault, but the band’s sound was terrible, the band’s speakers were way to big for the venue. It was just too loud. Then sound feedback kept happening. I really hope they get their act together. It seems like some people who never owned a bar decided to buy a bar and have no idea how to run one.

Michael?s On 59 – Menu with Prices – 1830 59th St W, Bradenton

Disappointing experience. First time there tonight (1/7/19) began because I noticed the big â??pizzaâ? banner and remembered it was here. Wife and I walked inside at about 5:15 pm, saw attractive looking surroundings, small dinner time crowd, but no hostess and no indication that this was a seat yourself place – until we asked at the bar. Ok, we went into the restaurant and picked a spot to sit. After a few minutes, a pleasant table server greeted us and took our drink order. Brought that out promptly, and took our order (pizza). After a few minutes, she brought us some garlic rolls. You could taste the garlic, which we both liked. So far so good. More people kept coming in, seating themselves. We watched as their orders were placed. After about 45 minutes, still no pizza. The table server had not come by with any progress report, but we managed to flag her down and asked how our pizza was coming. She then told us the kitchen was short staffed – only one cook. They had just called the owner/manager (not on premises), who was going to come in to help sometime that night. We asked again about our pizza and she sort of said it was made and in the oven. No prediction as to when it would come, beyond â??soonâ?. After more than an hour of waiting for one pizza, it still hadnâ??t come. We got up to leave and told our table server. She didnâ??t ask us to stay, tell us our pizza was ready or would be in 5 minute or anything. She just said â??I understandâ? blandly, and let us walk out.

Nirvana Indian Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1711 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

Typical Indian place with less staff. There was only 1 server and he seated people and cleaned tables and took orders. Decor is nothing to rave about. The leather or whatever was on the seats is really worn down. The food was OK, nothing to rave about. Had to ask the server 3 times to get our drinks. While we were waiting for our food there were a few families who were waiting to be seated. The owner told them it would be 45 minutes but the place was empty. The people in line asked if they can put their name down for seating and the owner goes, it is first come first serve. Someone asked him still there should be some order, the owner just shrugged his shoulder and left. Now for the best or worst part. The kitchen door was open to the street, you can see it from the parking lot. It was dirty and we were wondering how they passed a health inspection. I would NOT recommend this place at all.

Osaka Mobile – Menu with Prices – 3827 Airport Blvd, Mobile

My husband and I have been here many times before and haven’t ever really run into any problems. I once went on my own and had a rough experience with a waiter who had been there for a day or so. His service was fine but the owner woman kept yelling at him loud enough that I could hear and I felt terrible. Today we went there for lunch and wanted Hibachi. As soon as we arrive they seat us at a table with two people on the end and right across was a full table (the hibachi tables are connected). The couple thought it was weird that they made us sit together (which it was) and they left. We waited about five minutes for the waitress to get our drink order. She brought our waters and we then waited another 15 minutes for her to come back to the table. She told us that another table across the room was there first and we’d have to wait another 15-20 minutes. We didn’t mind waiting but we would have like to have known that a little sooner. She then takes our order. Then the owner comes over to the table while my husband is in the restroom and asked if we want to move over to the table across the room because “it will be quicker”. I told her I wanted to wait and ask my husband and she said ok. She came back 5 more times and asked me the same question and I repeatedly told her I wanted to wait. At this point I was fed up. My husband comes back and we move tables after having been there for about 30 minutes. My husband and I realize that they wanted us to move so they could cook our food with that same large group, to which we knew we would be receiving a smaller portion size because you can’t cook for 12 on one Hibachi grill. So we up and walked out with no food. The owner is very pushy and inconsiderate. The staff is not well trained. It’s a shame because we love the food there. Probably won’t be back.

Flying Dog Tap House Menu with Prices Terminal A, 7050 Friendship Rd, Baltimore

Horrible experience just trying to get a seat. My wife and I were not in a hurry as we walked up to get a table. Pam, the hostess, told us they only had high tops available at that time. I said no problem we will wait for a low top. She rudely told us just stand over there which we did. Another couple came up behind us and asked for a table for two. She walked through the restaurant, wiped off a low top table, and gave it to them. I politely asked why we did not get seated before the couple that came up behind us. She told us it?s not a big deal, tables open all the time. She then tried to sit us at a hightop. I again explained that I have a knee issues and needed a low top table. She said she?s not going to argue with me and we just needed to wait. I explained that I do not want to argue either but wanted to know why they got seated in front of us. She said she tends to be more accommodating to those who are willing to sit down anywhere. Another lady overheard the conversation as she was leaving and said the exact same thing happened to her. After waiting a little while longer, she finally sat us and was impolite while doing so. She stopped and talked to our would be waitress on the way to our seat. It took forever for our waitress to finally come get our drink order. My wife said she was uncomfortable eating dinner as she was afraid they would do something to our food. We just got up and left. Can?t speak about the food but we?ll never go back due to the rude customer service. By the way, I read google reviews all the time but never felt the need to leave one until now with this horrible experience.

Doug’s Day Diner: BOULDER – Menu with Prices – 2400 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder

Came for breakfast this morning and had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The hostess did not greet us and just grabbed menus and started walking. We weren’t sure whether or not we should follow her as she didn’t even acknowledge that we had come in and then she turned around and gave us a look like we were the ones doing something wrong. Once we walked to where she was standing she said “which table do you want” in a harsh tone and we were finally seated. We waited for 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged that we were there (keep in mind that there were maybe 10 other people in the whole restaurant and there were at least 3 waiters/waitresses.) a woman came over and asked us if we had been helped and then took our order even though we were not one of her assigned tables. Besides taking our order, bringing us the food, and giving us the check, we never had any other interaction with her (she didn’t even introduce herself to us.) when she brought us the check I was immediately ready with my card but she walked away and after waiting for 15 minutes we finally decided to go up to the front to pay there. The hostess gave our waitress my card and she went into the back. After waiting for yet another 10 or 15 minutes, we finally asked if they knew why it was taking so long and the guy we asked responded by saying that my card was sitting on the table we had left. Keep in mind that my boyfriend and I were obviously done with our meal and had both left the table and the waitress still put my credit card on the table that was completely vacant. Worst dining experience I’ve had in a while, definitely not coming back. Just goes to show that the village coffee shop is always a better call than Doug’s

Edison’s Pub – Menu with Prices – 2373 Professor Ave, Cleveland

My first experience at Edison’s after hearing people raving about it for years and I’m sooo disappointed. The bar staff is inconsolably rude and angry. We walked in and asked about seating for 6 and the bartender promptly walked past us yelling over his shoulder, “seat yourself.” Yes! We know it’s seat yourself but we’d love for someone to tell us if there’s a table that’ll fit 6 somewhere in the building. After choosing our own seat, the bartender proceeded to get angry that we took one of her stools…. maybe if someone directed us we wouldn’t have this problem. I’ve been a server and I understand having a bad night but this was beyond having a bad night. It’s too bad because the beer selections are fantastic, but bad service ruins a good spot.

Smoove’s Grill – Menu with Prices – 2150 Fort Campbell Blvd, Clarksville

Let me start by saying this was our first and probably last time visiting. No signing for if it was a seat yourself or server seat you so my family and I waited a good 30 minutes while being looked at by the two female servers on staff which intailed in my husband finally asking if we seat ourselves or wait to be seated in the quite empty establishment. Our server didn’t introduce herself, but rushed us to get our drinks ordered before we sat down (side note: what place doesn’t have Dr pepper or Mr. pibb?!) My sweet tea was anything but sweet (over iced and no sweetness to find), my husband got water that was only ice…with no water, and lastly my daughters milk was 1/2 full… While the server brought our drinks she watched me strugle with my 9 month old and ask (again) for a high chair. aparently theirs only 2 in the entire place and she was quite annoyed that i asked for the one at the then empty and dirty table and for it to be wiped down before I set my kid in it. Finally it came to the ordering of the food (yay…right?) In the middle of trying to order she walks away to the kitchen and comes back minutes later to tell us she had no ribs… in the middle of us talking to her about what we were ordering without excusing herself to check what was still on the line and not 86 for the night. We finally settle on 2 of the 2 meat plates. 2 brisket, 1 chicken, and 1 pulled pork with 2 orders of the macncheese, potato salad, and baked beans. 30 minutes go by, not seeing our server… then 45 minute mark she rushes to our table to tell us our food was served at the wrong table and they had to redo it (okay, cool hope it doesn’t take too much longer as both my kids are getting grumpy from being hungry) finally, our food comes out. the mac n cheese looks like it was reheated in the microwave and the potato salad is weird and mushy with absolutely no flavor. The barbecue sauce is the flavor of Apple Cider Vinegar, ketchup, and pepper… the brisket is dry, tough, and sad to say flavorless. the pulled pork is dry as well as flavorless. and the chicken is moist, but also flavorless and slightly undercooked on one of the quarters we were given. We sadly didnt eat more of the brisket and just decided to bring a doggy bag home to give to our dogs… The server couldnt come back to our table, instead greated another party of about 6 while we were there for a good hour and a half between waiting for our food, not getting the food, and then finally getting the food. Definitely not worth any 5 star ratings they’ve been given.

Tiffin Curry & Roti House – Menu with Prices – 188 28 St SE, Calgary

If I could, I would have given a negative rating. This happened a few months ago, I was driving past this joint and I decided to eat, I was there just by myself. The guy who I encountered was probably the owner or the entitled kid of the owner. I am not sure why he was pleasant to white people and not to me, may he has a general disregard for brown people, anyway, this review is not about his sad pathetic life, rather about their sad pathetic restaurant. Once I got my food, I was told to grab a seat anywhere, but, there was only one table available which would seat about 10 + people, I believe a large party just left as it was evident due to dishes on the table with leftover food, which they never bothered to clean, so I was forced to eat next to dirty dishes and equally dirty table. I asked for napkins and water, I was told that this a self-serving restaurant, which I acknowledged and asked where I can get myself water and tissues, but, I was completely ignored. I finally had a chance to drink a glass of water, this was when I was leaving the restaurant and asked again, a glass of water was provided with a much discomforted reaction, like I asked him for money. Coming for food, subpar or mediocre at best. I can cook better food, any given day, I am not just saying for the sake of saying it, I can cook a mean curry. A lot of reviews seem to be paid or written by the people who never had real Indian food. My advice – Learn customer service (Go to YouTube and search for videos on How to treat your customers)

deadhorse hill – Menu with Prices – 281 Main St, Worcester

Donâ??t walk in without a reservation, even if there is open tables you will not be seated. I have to down my rating for my most recent experience because we were never seated at a table. We came in at 7:30 and were told we would have an hour wait. But if anything became available at the bar we could sit there while we waited for a table. Meanwhile 2 people left from the bar and there were 4 open tables in the restaurant we figured were for reservations. We stood waiting until 8:45pm, which we then asked if we could atleast take the two empty bar seats because no one had been in them for 20 minutes. Both hostesses had been in the back by the kitchen all this time unless someone walked in. We ordered an appetizer and a drink which were great. The food was fast hot and tasted great. But by 9:10pm with the same 4 tables still empty we decided to leave because we realized we were never getting a seat. And really for our first date night out since having a baby didnâ??t want to eat the bar the whole time. Our bar tender was great, the food was amazing, but if you donâ??t have a reservation they are not really willing to work to hard to get you a table even if you wait an hour and a half.

Mi Tierra Cafe – Menu with Prices – 800 Dolorosa Ste. 204, San Antonio

As a native SA this place has been around for years. I just realized this after celebrating my mother in laws birthday when she was reminenceing on the times she would go there when she was much younger. Regardless we attended on a Tuesday evening not so busy and the hostess was not so kind. They were trying to get the table/booth and when she thought it was ready she says “you have to follow me” very rudely. (Just to let you know I”m carrying my 8month baby in a car seat which isn’t light) We follow her as she requested and then stops after she realized the booth wasn’t clean. So she yells in front of us to the staff to clean the table. There was a second table clean and ready but the hostess thought the booth would be better for a car seat. She didn’t even ask if we wanted a highchair and assumed we needed the sling. While this little issue is occurring to seat us a waitress tell the hostess she will running to the restroom. We get seated and not till moments later (waiting for someone to come and get our drink order and food order) did we realize that was the same waitress. I’m thinking if you knew she was leaving you could have a)gotten another staff member to watch her section while she went to the bathroom b)sat us in another area where staff would attend to us. While waiting for my food I realized cute decor but its so dusty…do they ever clean here? And I see another staff member eating sweet bread from the bakery. I’ve never known a restaurant to allow staff to eat in front of customers while in uniform. Finally we get our food and my husband asked for tortillas. My mistake we assumed tortillas came with the order. Customer service is a big issue for me and after requesting the tortillas you would think the waitress would say “yes sir let me get this right away did you need anything else” but instead we got a “did you ask for them?” I’m thinking WOW! This place needs to get back to its roots and start retraining people on customer service and server basics. Tourist are told to try Mi Tierra but its only for the ambience. There are better options for authentic San Antonio. This is good if you are looking for location (downtown, market square) and because they are open 24hrs but other than that I’m not a fan.
