We came here with a group of 4 people, on the Monday evening of The Rolling Stones concert, since it was the only place in Westgate that didn’t have a huge line out the door when we arrived at about 5pm, after a long drive across town, through crazy traffic to see the concert at State Farm Stadium. We were greeted at the door by a friendly man inviting us to sit anywhere available. There were still quite a few tables open, but there were many people coming in right behind us. We grabbed a larger high top and we are glad we did, because the place filled up within a few more minutes. We waited about 10 minutes to be greeted by a server with menus, but we already had grabbed a few from the bar. We advised we were ready to order, but it took about 10 more minutes for her to return to take our order. We ordered drinks and food to share. The drinks came about 20 minutes later, with the food about 15 minutes after that. We tried the siracha lime shrimp tacos, carne asada tacos, carne asada fries, hot wings, and garlic edamame. They were all okay, average bar food at best. The wings were not very hot, more like a medium. The fries were good, but the tacos left something to be desired. Especially the carne asada, which were very skimpy. It was just 3 small corn tortillas with a little line of small diced carne, and a little cream. Apparently this place is not usually open on Monday, which might explain the short staff for such a big crowd. It also would have been better if they had their pianos going. For what it is, the food was a 3-4. I’d like to check this place out when they have their dueling pianos in play.

Aloha Tortilla Factory & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1 Aloha Tower Dr, Honolulu

Almost a bit embarrassed to say this…but guess where I had my very first authentic taco?! Well I’ll give you a huge hint, It was here ? Well of course this place puts Taco Bell to shame. This is where all the real tacos are at! I have always wanted to try this place out, most especially because it is right on campus (I am an HPU student). FOOD: blownnn blown blown away. I ordered the 3 tacos plate that comes with the meat of the day & my choice of side (brownie), and paired it with an unsweetened mango tea. Yum yum yummmmm! The meat of the day was chicken & carne asada. I chose one chicken and two carne asada. The chicken taco was delish…but wow did the carne asada reallllllyyyy take me away. I also love that the tacos were wrapped, it made eating the tacos easier and less messy. SERVICE: Being that the food is made fresh and this place is run by two people, I believe one was the cook, it was a bit of a wait. I maybe waited 10-15 minutes…but it was well worth it. The people who run this place are so very friendly as well. There are a few shaded tables outside ? I already can’t wait to eat here again.

Taqueria La Fogata – Menu with Prices – 4623 S 33rd St, Omaha

This place is next door to Donohue’s Pub on L street. I will give this place 3 stars because the service was fast and the food was cheap. The menu is simple: tacos, tortas, burritos, and quesadillas. Meat choices include: Carne Asada Al Pastor Lengua Chorizo Tripe Barbacoa They offer $1 tacos on Thursdays after 5 pm only. The interior is sort of dated and even a little dirty. There are quite a few tables throughout. I know, these can sometimes be the really good places, right? However, the food was only OK. I ordered carne asada and al pastor tacos. The tacos are built with two street taco-sized corn tortillas, meat, cilantro, onions. They come with lime and salsa (red or green). The green (avocado) salsa is actually spicier than the red, which is not common. Overall, stop in on Thursday after 5 pm if you are in the area or next door at the pub. Otherwise, I’d make the trip to Taqueria Tijuana for tacos.

Tacos El Cuate De Obregon – Menu with Prices – 4817 S 12th Ave, Tucson

What a gem this taco truck is. We hit it up before heading out to Beerfest in Tempe. I can only speak to the Sonoran dogs and the carne asada, but WOW WOW wow… wow.. ok. The Sonoran dogs are really great! I have had sonoran dogs from BK, El Guero, Karamelo King, etc. Their Sonoran dogs are just as good, if not better. They also include a bacon wrapped cheese filled pepper with the dogs… those are pretty fantastic as well. The carne asada I ordered came in two forms… tacos and a caramello. I think I was hungry that day. The carne asada is legit here, and believe me, I order carne asada from every Mexican place I hit up. I just have to say, if you happen to be driving by and wanting some good taco truck food, don’t pass this one up. Oh, I am pretty sure it is cash only as well.

Tipzys Tacos – Menu with Prices – 3848 E Belmont Ave, Fresno

It’s ok. We tried a variety: Carne asada tacos: meat was kinda bland,my wife’s taco had burned bits. Chicken tacos: bland, no flavor really at all Shrimp tacos: my favorite of the three, but that’s not saying much. Carne asada quesadilla: my son said the one from Taco Bell is as good. Asada fries: crinkle cut frozen fries with mozzarella cheese and carne asada. Fine because we were hungry. Probably wouldn’t have rung bells if we weren’t starved. Chips – you get a basket of chips with paprika or chili powder on them. They are $1.25 and you don’t get anything with them. Don’t get me wrong, they have a salsa bar but they only had tiny little cups- like 2tsp – to put salsa in and wouldn’t give us anything bigger. Super lame, that. As far as the actual salsas- the pico was the best thing about this dinner. Jalapeños were tiny- good knife skills- so you got that yummy fresh pop of hot without it being overwhelming. The ancho chili salsa is good, my wife said the green one was good. The carrots looked gross, I didn’t get any. The cabbage was diced, which I thought was weird. It was also in a container filled to the brim with water. Maybe to keep the cabbage fresh but anything I put cabbage on (how I usually like my tacos) tasted predominantly like water. Not good. No fountain drinks, you buy by the can (or bottle for water) and drink it from the can/bottle. We didn’t have any beer. Murals were beautiful, the rest of the decor was dated and uncomfortable.

Ricos Tacos De Jalisco – Menu with Prices – 396 S Mt Vernon Ave, San Bernardino

We ordered a Carne Asada Torta, carne Asada sope, and a carne Asada taco. It was all pretty good and could be worth a return. Still looking to find a great spot so for now this up there in my list of good places to eat. It’s pretty lively at night and the champurrado was delicious but pricey $2.95 for a small. My total order was around $16.45 which is my only issue it’s pretty expensive for the area.

Los Tacos Amigos Menu with Prices 2235 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim

10/100 Vato loco reviews for 2019 Honest question Is the Food Fire or Fizzle?? 2019 The Original Taco Inspector has traveled to Anaheim to check out this new Azteca taco palace out! Is the food Good or NOT!! Answer:..Yes it is, its delicious They advertise 1:25$ tacos however they only charge you 1:00$ and that’s amazing considering unlimited toppings, like salsas, onions, cilantro and lemon. Señor Taco – Menu with Prices – 1929 North Power Road #, 105 # 105, Mesa

Senor Taco is a taste-better alternative to the world of Filiberto’s and all the knockoffs. That single statement sums up the Senor Taco food line up, monster entrees and decent pricing. What you will find are burritos, tacos and other items that compare reasonably to Filiberto’s but are both better tasting and somewhat unique. The first time guest should try the carne asada burrito which is a strong item. People who are hungry could try the California Surfin burrito- a massive entree with carne asada, shrimp and French fries in a burrito wrap. Crazy fun and tasty. For those who can eat an entire cow in one sitting, I dare you to try to finish off a Senor Burrito. This double wrapped carne asada burrito with potatoes and lots of other goodies has got to be at least 2 lbs of shear burrito glory. Not for the weak. The chips are tasty, and the salsa bar is very good, well kept and fresh. The flavors are a bit spicier than the other fast food Mexican chains, but they are just perfect. I love the medium red salsa. Prices are reasonable, with most burritos staying between 5-8 dollars, but the monster teo I mentioned above range all the way to $10, which is still a great deal if you consider the humungous volume for those items. The staff is quick and polite, and your order will be ready pretty fast. Everything is made to order so it could be 5 min for some things but you’ll be eating in no time. This place is the best fast food Mexican available.

Arteaga’s Food Center – Menu with Prices – 2620 Alum Rock Ave, San Jose

I was very pleased I found this place on short notice. I saw they had tacos de chicharrón, ordered 3 of each , chicharrón, 3 of carne asada, 3 of cabeza. The best one of chicharrón they said did’t have. I was so disappointed. Made anothe choice, carne al pastor. I also wanted something sweet small like a Mexican jello. Something lite. No, they said they could not provide even if I paid seperate. All was for delivery. The delivery person had a Chicago number, I did’t know. Later after another call, was able to reiceve the Tacos which I chose the #1 box of 12 tacos with limes , Green sauce, tasted from can, the red sauce not good for my taste, not made fresh price was $$ ok for bringing to your door. Included tip. I think in Order to Order something for delivery you need to know in person who you Order from first, see what thy offer and not, for delivery.

Valerie’s Taco Stand – Menu with Prices – 2213 El Camino Real suite d, Oceanside

We came to visit our friends in Oceanside for 3 days, and ended up coming to Valeries twice, because it was that good! My first visit, I had initially ordered the al pastor and the Diablo, decided last minute that I wanted to try the carne asada (not sure if this is north county thing, but certain tacos came with whole beans?). I added the carne asada and repeated I wanted no beans, it somehow became two extra carne asada tacos. I had not realized I paid for 4 tacos…oh well, I was a trooper and ate all 4 (my friends offered no help as they were full off two tacos each and wanted to see my attempt). The fullness pain hit after and I hated myself, but the tacos were so good! No regrets! The tacos are a bit more on the expensive side but they are massive and the tortilla is bigger than your street tacos. This tortilla tasted like their homemade, a mixture of corn and flour perhaps, and tasted like perfection, I’ve never been more impressed with a tortilla as I was with Valeries. The al pastor was the best of the bunch, great flavors and has a delicious smokiness. The carne asada were over cooked so it was too chewy, but the flavors were great too. I did not enjoy the Diablo as much as the breading of the shrimps and the toppings overshadowed the shrimp and the breading was a big mushy. I think it would have been better if the shrimps were grilled. The place is super clean and the salsa bar is delicious as well. They had the light orange creamy salsa which is the spiciest one there (maybe Serrano peppers based), had major heat but such great flavors that I kept dousing it on. We came back in he next day after having tacos at another spot since they ran out of elotes the day before. I ordered another al pastor taco while my friends had the elotes.

Taqueria El Nuevo Perico #2 – Menu with Prices – 3702 E Chapman Ave, Orange

This taqueria is definitely delicious and authentic. The Carne Asada taco was very juicy and well seasoned and they use flour tortillas. The street tacos come with cilantro and onion on top with a side of grilled onion and radishes. I also bought the taco combo with carne asada (picture) which comes with rice, beans, and the onions. The Al Pastor taco (in the picture) was really tasty and juicy. The best part of this restaurant is that none of the meats were dry, but they’re a bit overpriced. However, the tacos are a bit larger than small corn tortilla tacos. There are definitely tastier tacos for cheaper if you’re willing to drive further out of Orange, but for a local, fast service taco, this is an excellent choice. There is also a lot of seating here and the place is large and clean, including a restroom.

Carniceria Castillo – Menu with Prices – 4426 S Central Ave, Phoenix

Take a trip south, south of downtown, south of the 17 to find your way to Carniceria Castillo for some of the best Carne Asada in Phoenix. Drive to south mountain take in a hike or the views and do yourself a favor and stop in for their cooked carne on your way back. You’ll find this market along the road, it’s easy to pass right by, but they’re likely cooking something out front on their BBQ grill and it’s probably the chicken or beef you’ll be eating in your tacos, burritos or nachos later that day and for the next few days to come. Order a couple pounds because two pounds magically seems like three or four every time I order. Don’t forget to peruse through the market for a Candy Coconut Roll, cause those things are awesome. Happy Yelping Phoenix, eat more carne asada and eat it from here.

Taqueria la monarca – Menu with Prices – zip, 5813 Old Lee Hwy #7, Chattanooga

A must try. Don’t miss out on this favorite family spot. Very friendly and authentic. No set menu. Sustainable in a sense. Mom is in the back. While her daughter takes your order. There’s a variation of selections incumbent on the time of day. But the very best part is that she has fresh made tortillas daily. Anything like it never has come as close as having fresh corn tortillas from la plancha. There’s an array of delicious choices from mariscos to tacos. Menudo. No! Not the band. This is a traditional beef broth. Their tacos are so delicious that I have sat down and have tried them all. Those little tortillas are special. Double stack on each taco. Plus the carne asada. Oh my. So well worth it. Made with sautéed onions. Did I mention that she cooks to order? It’s not just the tortillas. The meats in these tacos are actually fresh and yummy. Pastor, lengua, chorizo, chicharrón, cabeza, carne asada y pollo. If you want authentic tacos or authentic delicious home cooked Mexican style dishes. Then you will want to try La Monarca.
