This restaurant is located in a strip mall along Washington Rd. in Augusta, GA. After getting checked into our hotel, we looked around for somewhere to go for dinner. We saw there were quite a few Mexican places in the area that had fairly high reviews. After looking at different places, we decided to give this place a try. It was only about 10 minutes from the hotel. Our visit here was on July 25, 2019. Once you step inside, you can see the brighter colors inside this place. It wasn’t too crazy when we came in, so we were immediately seated. Once seated our server came over and brought some chips and salsas and asked us what we wanted to drink. When she came back, we asked about the salsas. There were three of them. One is mild, one is medium, and one is hot. I can definitely confirm the hot one is hot when it comes to spice. We also ordered a cheese dip. Shortly after the cheese dip coming out, we were ready to order entrees. While waiting for our order, we had the cheese dip, which was good. It was just cheese dip with no spices or anything else in it. After looking things over, I ended up going with the Burrito Grande, but without the rice. My mom went with the Quesadilla El Patron with beef tips. About 5 to 8 minutes later, our dinner entrees came to the table. The food looked really good. The Burrito Grande was a nice, large portion size. The burrito was also very good. The only issue that I had with it was that it didn’t come out hot like I experience at other Mexican restaurants. My mom said hers was the same way with her quesadilla. We never got a chance to address the issue as the server (and others) were busy with the large take out line that was happening most of the time we were there. Other than that, the food was good. Overall, this place was okay based on my visit. Service was a bit spotty with them being busy with take out orders and the food not being as hot as one would expect in a restaurant. If my travels take me back this way again, I would still try them again.

Gorditas Estilo Aguascalientes – Menu with Prices – 999 N Waterman Ave, San Bernardino

Decided to try this place and ordered through DoorDash. I got a burrito and quesadilla with Chile relleno. I was disappointed when I took a bit of the burrito because it only had beans, rice, and cheese. I posted a picture of what the burrito should have included. They did have an option to add on more to the burrito and maybe they got confused? Anyway. The Chile relleno quesadilla was BOMB!!! It was only $3. Highly recommend trying that out. Decided to go back in person and give them another try and I am impressed. Took my boyfriend and he got the asana burrito. It comes with everything, BOMB. I again got the quesadilla Chile relleno with beans and rice. Seriously the best place in town. This location is located inside the San Bernardino indoor swap meet.

Pink Cactus Charleston – Menu with Prices – 100 A Spring St, Charleston

The service experience was truly one of the worst I have ever experienced. From the moment we walked in the door, there was no clear host. We finally flagged down a frantic server who seemed far too overwhelmed to really assist us. She then just kept coming to ask how many in our party and clearly had no system of keeping track of who was waiting for tables. While we were waiting we sat at the bar for at least 15 minutes and the bar tender NEVER acknowledged us. We were then escorted to a table and told to just order drinks from there because it would be faster. We ordered drinks as soon as we were seated and waited another at least 20 minutes for drinks. We ordered very simple appetizers – guacamole and queso. We were brought some salsas as an apology for the slow service but never any mention of our apps. We finally asked for them another 20 minutes later and our server seemed genuinely surprised. We weren’t even offered the chance to order entrees until we had been seated for at least an hour. A server tried to bring us another tables food twice. When she finally brought our food, she had no idea who had ordered what nor could she tell what type of tacos were on each plate. It was a literal disaster in your restaurant last night. What seems like quite simple food and a menu that should allow for somewhat quick dining was a two hour dinner (much of which was spent being totally ignored and/or having items forgotten). It seemed there was no clear leader or manager in the space. Also the cocktails were watered down. They served a glass of white wine at room temperature. The carnitas were pretty good but other tacos fairly unimaginative. I’ll be surprised if this place stays open for very long.

Tacos el Juanito – Menu with Prices – 1866 S Euclid Ave, Ontario

Stopped by this shop because it had a lot of positive reviews…I was craving birria, but I remembered this shop had good reviews and I figured why not, I’ll get birria next time…Any how I’d love to give this place more stars but it comes down to the whole experience…The staff is great, very friendly and work hard to get that food out…The menu is very simple, and easy to order from. We actually got one of everything. The prices are reasonable, hence why we got one of everything…They have this great family Meal Deal one 1 meat burrito, 6 tacos any meat, 1 meat quesadilla, & 2 large drinks for $20…we added 1 meat nachos which show a nacho cheese sauce but actually use grated cheese but it’s packed with lots of meat. We also got an asada torta and a asada mulitas. We got it all!!!! Now the drawbacks…they give you tons of meat, which is not a drawback, but the asada is not seasoned…very bland…no fat, but very bland, needs citrus and salt and be cooked a lil less, some piece were very dry…the Mulitas was very tasty and enjoyable. We ordered the the carnitas burrito and quesadilla, and it’s anything but dry…it’s got a lot of flavor, but it also has a ton of oil…oil poured out the plate of the quesadilla, and the burrito foil was saturated all the way around the inside and outside of the burrito wrapper. The torta was good as it had the spicy guacamole and mayonnaise and beans kept the meat wet and masked the lack of seasonings. Next I gotta complain about the chilé…it tastes like cheap La Cadena jar or canned salsa…the Rojo was very vinegar and hot, no salt or citrus or garlic or spice…the Verde was the better of the two and it was very simple too…and I love chilé and sadly theirs fell flat… I also asked for the grilled cebolla & Jalapenos, and they two were oily and no salt what so every…it tastes oily…the piña was good, just your standard fountain Pineapple water…sadly I can’t recommend this shop, as there are many other contenders around the area that are far better-

La Parrilla Mission Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 7372 Mission Boulevard Suite 104, Riverside

The parking lot looked busy, so we decided to give it a try. The staff was friendly – they all looked very busy. I ordered a taco combination plate. It said 2 tacos, beans and chips. Mine came with rice, which I preferred. My husband ordered the chili rellano combination plate. Both came with a soft drink. I ordered a carne asada burrito to go. The server brought us a variety of salsas and chips. A red tomato salsa, a tomatillo salsa(best flavor), an enchilada type sauce and another yellow green salsa. These need work. They need some heat, salt – something’s missing. The server checked on us and I asked if we could get our sodas and then she additionally checked on us 2x more while we waited for our food. The chili rellano plate came first. The cheese was not melted on the inside, the server told us it’s because it’s queso Fresca. Didn’t matter because it still was cold inside. The homemade tortillas are yummy! Rice and beans were ok. Nothing exciting – seem to be missing something. My food still hadn’t come, so I asked when it was ready could I just get it to go, they said sure. Called me over to get it at the counter and I reminded them about my “to go” burrito. I sat back down and waited for it to be made. They did not offer and salsa to go which is ok since I didn’t care for it anyway. I tried my tacos once I got home. The meat needs seasoning. They definitely needed salsa. My son had the burrito- he said the beans need help and the meat needs seasoning too. He was bummed we didn’t get salsa. All in all, I wanted to love this place. Maybe I’ll give them a few months and try later. I’m giving 3 stars because they were trying hard.

QDOBA Mexican Eats – Menu with Prices – 4235 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas

I wanted to like this place after my friend hyped it up. It started promising, I ordered a burrito for here and a quesadilla to go. But when the lady asked what I wanted in my burrito and started putting rice and beans on a cold half tortilla I was confused. Then asked what I wanted on my burrito, and I said I just told you. And she told me this is the quesadilla. Okay so clearly this is reversed and I said so, and she just stared at me like she wasn’t going to remake it. So whatever right? Things happen. Added a drink with my meal, and they’re out of coke and Diet Coke…like, why? So whatever the foods gotta be good right? Saw some lemons and limes and was going to grab a few for my food, open the containers – all hot brown dried limes. Open the lemons – dry hot lemons, yum. (Fun fact, you’re supposed to put ice at the bottom of those containers and change it out). Sad day.

Saltgrass Steak House – Menu with Prices – 3320 Central Expy, Plano

My wife and I decided to try the new place. I remember the building used to be a Joes Crab Shack. We went in and the decor inside was awesome. Needless to say, that was the only good thing there. Once we sat down, our server came up to us and ask for our drink order and ask if we wanted any appetizers. We just sat only a minute and didn’t get to lunch on all over the menu. She brought our drinks and we decided to order an appetizer and our entrees. Our appetizer came out and ate some and we were waiting for our entrees which was 2 hamburgers. We waited waited waited and after 40 minutes we finally got to talk with our server and she said ” oh, you didn’t get your food” we said does it look like it on the table. The restaurant was not even busy at that time as only 6 tables were used. We then told her we want to cancel our order and to talk with the manager. With all this happening, the server was never engaging with us to keep us informed of our order or failed to look at us. When manager came over, we told him what had happened and wanted the cancel our order. He said our order was coming up but after waiting forty minutes, we told him we didn’t want it. He went to take it off the bill but no apology for the issue. Bad customer service. He acted like it was our fault. We ended up doing Dairy Queen which for a fast food restaurant, where much more nicer. Needless to say, We won’t be coming back to this location. informed

Quiero Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3 Deering Ave, Portland

Wow! I cannot say enough about how great tonight’s meal was! This building is right by my house and I’ve watched it go through 3 different iterations just in the time I’ve lived here. Previously it was fine dining and the location just wasn’t right for it. This counter service Mexican restaurant however is perfection. They advertise empanadas are $3.75 each and run specials in groups of 3. I was skeptical at first but they are huge! 3 would absolutely be enough for a small meal!! I tried the queso one tonight and it was delicious. The cheese was just right. I also had the quesadilla. I had wanted a side of rice and the young lady taking my order asked if I would like it in the quesadilla. 300% recommend! My chicken quesadilla was DELICIOUS. The chicken was very moist and abundant. The cheese was present but not overpowering. The quesadilla was soft and a little moist without getting soggy. And it was $12 WITH the side of rice. My partner for the burrito with pork and really enjoyed it. He also got a mango margarita which he said was just ok but he thinks it was his fault; he ordered it on the rocks so the chunks of mango just sat in the bottom. He recommends getting it frozen so that it goes through the blender, better mixing the flavors. We got 2 dinners, 2 empanadas, a beer and a specialty margarita for just under $50. You can absolutely get enough food for one person for $15 here, a hard feat here in Portland. Can’t recommend this place enough! I will be here a lot

Boca Grande Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 149 First St, Cambridge

Literally work across the street and have never been here… the line is always crazy long and I have a serious love affair with Taco Loco in Somerville… One day I was super hungover and a co-worker went and told me I needed this to get better… so off she went & got me a Quesadilla (which in every other place in the world is flat) I figured, Yes, I can do this… OMG It was soo good, but I was soo sick hungover that after one bite I just couldnt anymore.. so I had been dying to go back right?! Then I go back, order a burrito and was SOOOOO disappointed, the rice is so bland & dry and in the burrito was just too much and it tasted nothing like my first visit… So then the other day stopped in again and was like you know what, let me try with NO RICE… Got a Quesadilla again, with just chicken, Cheese, Pico & Some cream & OMG… I Could actually taste the chicken and its sooo good… Now I just know I need to go with NO RICE, its soo much and soo bland but everything else is friggin delish… Check it out and there is ample seating upstairs (again, I never knew) but yeah, go check them out & now that I know, I feel that Ill be going all the time.

The Legacy Golf Club – Menu with Prices – 6808 S 32nd St, Phoenix

We came here on a whim because of a Groupon offer. We also decided it would be a good place to try because of the good reviews on yelp and Groupon. WRONG! First off, it’s not very clear where the restaurant is. None of the signs say the name of the restaurant and if it weren’t for a pamphlet at the entry we wouldn’t have known for certain where we were. We were seated quickly, the place wasn’t very full so we weren’t concerned about a long wait. After being seated we order drinks and it took a while for anyone to come back around. The man who took and brought our drink order turned out to not be our waiter so despite being ready to order we had to wait for a server. It was 26 minutes before the server came to our order. During this time many other tables were seated. Other people ordered their food as well and we waited. In the hour and six minutes that we waited for food three other tables seated after us received food. One table also ordered and received dessert in that time. Another table got their food, ate it, paid and left before we were served. Now you may wonder what we had ordered? Maybe it was something that takes a long time? NOTHING TAKES THAT LONG TO PREPARE. We ordered their fish taco special, grilled salmon and a quesadilla. We were on borrowed time at this point as it was nearing our children’s bed time and they were starving as were we. We paid our bill and requested to go boxes before our food arrived. Despite that we still didn’t get our bill settled until we were half way through our food. And we also ended up waiting fo the to go boxes. I wouldn’t actually tell anyone to come here unless they were already at the gold course or if they aren’t hungry. Need a drink? This is your place! Want a delicious meal that takes and hour and half to get? Then this is where you should eat. Now you may be wondering why I still gave them 3 stars. Our waitress was very nice in spite of her obviously being over burdened with tables. The prickly margaritas were actually quite good and reasonably priced for a gold course. Lastly, the food was actually very good. The grilled salmon was as close to perfect as I could expect from a standard American restaurant, the quesadilla was actually grilled and the cheese was melted ( since being in Arizona we have noticed a lack of melted cheese) and the fish tacos were fantastic. Will we return here? NO Is this place kid friendly? NO Is there a diaper changing table in the bathroom? NO Will I tell people to go here? Probably not If you do go here use a Groupon or the check in offer for 20% off. Other wise it’s not worth it.

El Mandilón – Menu with Prices – 1001 Cocoanut Ave, Sarasota

I wish I could give zero stars for this restaurant. This was one of the most strange and unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Originally the three of us wanted to sit inside, but the DJs music was blasting so loudly none of us could hear each other and opted to go outside instead. Our server must have been inexperienced. From the beginning, not a hello or hi. We asked for some waters just to start off with but our server just stood there for a second staring at us… When my friend DID order a margarita it took 15 minutes and was watered down. The food was the next issue. I ordered the salt fajitas with filet. I had asked for no beans. Our server replied “well it comes with beans”. I had to say “well I don’t really like beans….”. Finally he says “OHHH well would you like extra rice then?” “That sounds great, thanks”. But when the food comes out I did not receive any rice. My other friend ordered three different tacos but when the food came out for him they were all the same (the served later told us that he rang it in wrong) but he didn’t get any rice or beans either with his food. Our food was dry and needed more seasoning. We each had to go inside to get salt, pepper, and hot sauce because our server was nowhere to be found. When we were just barely finished, the server asked if we wanted our checks. We were going to order dessert, but that quickly changed our minds. It was a very unprofessional setting. We still paid for everything (with no discount) despite ALL the errors. We won’t be returning. We should have trusted the reviews. Service was bad and food was mediocre.

Cris Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 5549, 370 E 188th St, The Bronx

Quesadilla sucks. Who puts salad inside the quesadilla. Itâ??s called chicken quesadilla not chicken salad on a wrap. Put that salad on the side . Quesadilla was looking more like chicken sandwich on a tortilla. The quesadilla was also wet

Viva Burrito – Menu with Prices – 6320 E Golf Links Rd Suite 100, Tucson

Now I understand the poor reviews. These people are idiots. Not 1 but 2 different posted menus show a Bean Burrito at $3.99. I ordered at the window and she says “Bean and Cheese burrito?” Twice, I had to say No, just the bean burrito on your menu. When I get it, I notice they charged me $4.59 for the burrito. I take it to them, they say a few different things: 1 – “The burrito without cheese costs more than the burrito with cheese.” Fine, nowhere does your menu even offer a Burrito with Cheese. And who charges more for less?? You can charge the same – but not more. 2. “We had a price change, and the Burrito without Cheese is $4.29.” See above, and…..price changes should not be a surprise you pull on a customer AFTER they order. AND – that doesn’t explain the $4.59 charge. Not going back.
