The absolute worst service I have ever encountered in my life. The only persons who received good service were the three guys next to us who were bragging about all being 19 years old. Went inside to have a drink with some friends and was treated like garbage. Took forever to get served and when I did they gave me the complete wrong beers. At the end of the night one of the bussers (who I was told is one of the owners) shoved my friend out of his way because he did think he has enough room to fit through. My friend was backed against a wall, how much farther should he move? My friend was then thrown out of the bar by 6 customers. When the owner and customers found out my friend was gay they proceeded to scream homophobic slander in his face. This all happened after we saw two men get into a fight within the bar.

Teppan Express – Menu with Prices – 3800 US-98, Lakeland

VERY rude associates. Today, I walked past an associate who offered me a free sample. I said, “no, thank you,” and continued to walk. This man stepped up to my friend and I, waving around a piece of whatever meat he was trying to give away in my friend’s face, raising his voice to say “FREE SAMPLE!” again. He had no way of knowing my friend was vegan and that on top of just not appreciating someone shoving something in her face and yelling, she ESPECIALLY didn’t appreciate having chicken or beef or whatever it may have been shoved in her face. This isn’t the first time I’ve been disappointed by this particular restaurant. They seem to take their trash out through the front door of the mall instead of the back, as multiple times, they’ve carried nasty meat (I use that term loosely here, as it didn’t look like any animal I’ve ever seen raw or cooked) in buckets THROUGH the dining area, even setting them down on the floor in between tables to go back to the restaurant to get something if needed. There’s never a line of people there so I’m not sure how they stay open tbh.

Billiken’s Smokehouse – Menu with Prices – 623 Caroline St, Fredericksburg

Started the afternoon celebrating the end of the school year with 30 of my colleagues (we secured the spot at least a month in advance) and after two hours we were asked to leave the outside seating area to make room for dinner customers. At this point, it was 4:00 PM. A waiter then came and said the manager wanted us to move to make room for dinner customers. We had all bought food and drinks and had open tabs at this point. Imagine how much money they had already made on the lot of us that afternoon! I highly doubt this restaurant has 30 paying customers on a Friday afternoon! When my table didn’t move immediately, we were then ignored by the wait staff. There were many open tables around us and no visible “wait line ” to get seated outside. I have lived in Frederickburg my entire life and have NEVER been asked to leave any dining establishment to make room for other customers. I will NEVER dine here again. Believe me, I will tell everyone I know about how horribly a bunch of school teachers were treated today! Thanks for ruining what could have been an otherwise fantastic day.

Holiday Inn Miami Beach-Oceanfront – Menu with Prices – 4333 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

This Hotel is a very ran down. The room we stayed in had an issue with the air conditioner, the air conditioner leaked and did not cool the room. The temperature of the room varied from 75-78 degrees. Complained the first night, the complaint that was written down was the air conditioner is leaking. Maintenance came and put a wet vac blower on the carpet to dry, did nothing to correct the issue. After a late night on the town returned to a hot room and slept with the fan that was blowing on the floor into the room to be comfortable. Complained the next morning, at this time they said you can switch rooms, I said we have 5 suitcases, and four people by the time we repack to move we will have lost the day. (as this was the only day for the beach). I said can you have them to repair the a/c. At no time did they say, Sorry but the A/C is non-repairable. I approached the desk again and told them that when we returned from the beach, no one had come into the room, based on how we left the blower. They said sorry we will call maintenance, again, no information regarding the a/c not being repairable. the entire floor was hot as you stepped off the elevators. The last morning I went to say how disappointed we were being a SPIRE ELITE member with IHG, that this issue was not resolved. I asked how could they resolve this issue and they offered breakfast, we had buffet and one week later, upon checking my credit card, we were charged $76.20 for the breakfast that we ate at that hotel. I contacted IHG that contacted the manager, these crabs informed them that we were told that the A/C was not repairable and we choose to stay in a room that the temperatures were at 78 degrees. We have the pictures of the temperature that was showed to the desk. Let me ask, who in their right mind, would make a decision to stay in a room with a temperature of 78 degrees after being told the A/C was non repairable? This is such a poorly ran establishment, and the lack of compassion for the guest is unbelievable. I approached the front desk and straight to the face of the supervisor, I asked how can you tell IHG that we refused to move rooms after being told the A/C was non-repairable. She said you did refuse to move rooms, I said did you ever tell me the AC was non-repairable, she could not answer, just kept saying we offered you to move, we offered you to move. I understand they offered me to move, at no time did they say the ac was non-repairable. Angel the guy at the front desk, when I asked him, if he ever told me the AC was non-repairable, he said no mam, because it was after that we found that out. I said at least you are the only HONEST person at this desk.POORLY RAN BY MANAGEMENT AND POOR ESTABLISHMENT, I am still trying to get the $76.20 charge refunded to my C/C!

Joe’s Marketplace & Deli – Menu with Prices – 7700 Westgate Blvd, Kissimmee

Ordered 12 mild wings fried and extra crispy, and got plain in the box. No problem called and said they would fix it and bring right over. Note: my room was literally 200 feet away. Almost an hour and nothing! Had to walk over myself and ask where my food was. 15 min later I finally have my wings. Get back to my room and open the box to find nearly raw wings! After one bite they were thrown in the trash! No I did not call back either, not gonna waste another hour of my time on people that obviously donâ??t care about their product they put out or their customers! Avoid this place at all cost!

Breathe Salt Yoga – Menu with Prices – 2528 Ocean Ave, San Francisco

Review for the SALT ROOM ONLY: I found this beautiful spot while scrolling for nothing-in-particular on Groupon….so happy I purchased a couples packages I emailed to book my two sessions (45 minutes for 2 people/each) – Olga, one of the owners emailed me back right away with availability and she got me and my friend in the same day (and my other requested day too ? ) So much street parking when I got here around 630pm. Easy to find the studio – they have a big sign up, can’t miss it. The entryway is clean and simple with white walls and the studio name painted on the wall. Great for a yelp check-in photo ? The check-in area is instantly welcoming with pink salt lamps and an area to purchase yoga gear, and benches to sit on while you store your shoes underneath. For the salt room, you’re given little booties to slip on your feet so you don’t get too salty. I’ve never tried a salt room before so when I walked in me and my friend were shocked at how beautiful it was. Honestly, we laughed because it was so awesome. The floor is like a sandbox…but pink salt. Pink salt blocks line the walls entirely, with beautiful pinks light seeping in to create a womb-like atmosphere. Cozy and comforting. A little “spout” shoots out salt “mist” through your session. It’s really magical. If you don’t want to sit on the floor like children (like we did, my friend made a tick tac toe out of salt too lmao) then you can sit in the loungers inside the room (5 loungers whooo-hooo!) We didn’t meditate or sit quietly(had the room to ourselves), but we used the space as a relaxing place to hang out and catch up, while sharing laughs AND reaping the benefits of a salt room! Yay! Anyways, I’ll be back in a few days already. Check this place out it’s so so so fun!

Baba’s Steak And lemonade – Menu with Prices – 3205 E State Blvd, Fort Wayne

So the employees of this place treat their customers like s***. Majority of the customers wouldnâ??t know this as they donâ??t understand the language these people speak. My husband and I speak the same language as one of their employees who didnâ??t know the fact. We had placed an order on the phone which they hadnâ??t received. There are two restaurants with the same name in the area and we happened to place the order at the other one. So this guy calls this other place which is probably owned by the same person. So he calls there, tells them that the customer they were expecting is here, using extremely filthy language, using swear words in their language for god knows why. My husband Starts talking to him in his language and asks about swearing and all, this guy starts tripping and lying n all. So just fyi, these people may smile in your face and greet, they are still making fun of you, cursing and commenting on you either behind your back or right in your face in their language. SHAME on the management team and the ownership who let this happen.

Wemo’s Famous Wings – Menu with Prices – 312 Schillinger Rd S, Mobile

Wow…..talk about either the best or the worst. I have come here a few times and it has been great. I wrote about it and was singularly impressed. A little hole in the wall place with great chicken wings. So what happened yesterday? I think the owners or managers were just not there. It was around lunch time. We (2 of us) came in and ordered 2 wing dinners to a cashier that was simply not interested in being there and certainly in us bothering her with wanting to order. She was talking on the phone to a friend and I guess it was important because we and another couple just stood there….I heard part of the conversation and it had to do with something someone had done…. to quote what I heard……”HE DID WHAT!!!”. We finally ordered then sat down and we waited. It appears if you are there you are simply considered only after all the take-out orders are filled. So we waited. After about 15-20 minutes I asked where our order was. The response was that I was clearly disturbing the front end staff because there was simply no response. The amazing thing was that it was not that busy. The main person (owner or manager) was not there…I was told this when I asked for him or her …. The food was cold and I think had either been microwaved or kept over from the month before. It was chewy and really substandard. Okay…..I realize I had strongly recommended this place. A friend of mine had a similar experience as this and I wondered what had happened. Now I know. There appears to be people in charge and if they are not there…..(and I wish I knew how to check this) make a 180 degree turn and get out of there….fast….. So much for small treasures in west Mobile. Better avoid this one until they get their act together or post a sign that says…someone is here that “GIVES A DAMN”.

Subway Restaurants – Menu with Prices – 5655 Centennial Center Blvd Suite 110 Centennial Gateway S/C, Las Vegas

Wow. Just wow. The management here needs to train their staff big time. We walked in and immediately I see two customers ordering sandwiches and one girl making their sandwiches VERY SLOWLY. Also behind the counter is the “supervisor” on duty, who is on the phone enjoying herself while more people come in to get their sandwiches behind a backed up line. After 15 mins of watching this girl make SLOW as possible sandwiches for two demanding customers who want everything just so, another customer walks in. We casually tell her we have been waiting almost 20 mins and she says loudly “Oh no I have to get going I can’t wait that long.” Then by some miracle the “supervisor” gets off the phone and helps move the line along built up by this SLOW AS A SNAIL girl. The “supervisor” makes my boyfriend’s sandwich in 8 seconds. Mine took 3 mins by this SLOW girl who struggled with avacado….. finally I told her to just wrap it up I have to go. Overall I can see the associates are not floor ready for speed and accuracy. I can see the “supervisors” are not trained with self awareness and leadership skills to build the business.

Shortwave Coffee – Menu with Prices – 915 Alley A, Columbia

Recently got new management and it’s still my favorite coffee shop in downtown Columbia, but now open for more hours! I find many of the coffees shops in the area to be loud, overcrowded, and with tables that are too small for me to study or do anything except have a single coffee with a friend–Shortwave is the exception. (Fretboard is another exception, it’s just a farther walk from campus.) Shortwave coffee is in a great location, is large and cavernous, has cozy areas (perfect for reading) and well-lit areas (perfect for studying), and has a comfortable quiet hum of conversation or music (perfect for coffee with a friend, reading, or studying!). I’m no coffee connoisseur, but I think it’s great, and so is the tea! The staff is AMAZING; so approachable, helpful, and chill. The manager’s just as great–he’s frequently present and interacts with the customers. I often forget to ask for alternative milks and they’ve been so understanding and it just shows how their quality of customer service! I highly recommend checking this place out–you won’t regret it!

7th and Park – Menu with Prices – 1554 E 7th St, Brownsville

First off I just want to say that the staff there are much more welcoming and have been very friendly to both me and my friend when we have gone. However, I canâ??t say the same for the owner. He acted really rude and seemed to b upset at me today (when he came in because he was not there when my friend and I had already gotten there) when I simply had moved the white nearby table for kids thatâ??s near the couch/sofa area, (which nobody was even occupying at the time nor ever even asked to use, there were also no kids even present there when we got there nor during the time me and my friend were there) to use my laptop by the couch/sofa becus the table that is there in front of the couch/sofa is simply for magazines and putting your drink on is short in height to use a laptop on and there was no other place to sit when me and my friend got there and he gave a tone and said he â??wanted people to feel welcome thereâ? as he moved the chairs and I hadnâ??t moved any other furniture such as the chairs around and I simply told him that I was just using the table for my laptop computer since it was a little taller in height compared to the other table and he first said that was fine but then immediately said oh r u done using your computer yet? and I said ok Iâ??m sorry and I then proceeded to remove my off the table, and my friend decided to move the table back to its place. I told him me and my friend only sat there at the sofa area since me and her usually like to sit in the other private room by the kitchen/employee area but she felt uncomfortable sitting in the other room becus there were already a lot of ppl there and the other tables were occupied when we had arrived and she decided that she wanted to sit on the sofa area which was fine with me but he didnâ??t wanna hear any of my explanation. If the owner does not like the furniture such as the tables being moved, THERE SHOULD AT LEAST BE A SIGN THERE NOT to move any of the tables (that r not mounted) or chairs around so that nobody moves any of the furniture, the staff that were there never told me I couldnâ??t move the table either and I did not feel friendly hospitality there at all today with his attitude all becus of simply moving a table that was nearby closer to use, I wouldnâ??t recommend this place becus of the ownerâ??s attitude, he couldnâ??t even thank my friend for moving the table back either, he claimed he wasnâ??t upset at me but obviously he was becus of the table being moved just a couple of feet. People come to this place to chill, and my friend and I came so I could help her with her schoolwork. Also the place could use sum blinds by the windows becus the sun is extremely hot and even yesterday and today that I sat at two different spots while I was there with my friend the sun hits really hard. Overall, totally unprofessional and uncalled for.

Quicksand Escape Games – Menu with Prices – 1001 Garnet Ave, San Diego

We did the Chinatown room last week. Was my 50th escape room. The theme was a Chinese restaurant as a cover for a drug-smuggling ring. The theme was clever enough, but the puzzles were not. Most everything else is pretty first gen. In the first few clues alone you’re trying to get combos for four four-digit locks. If you’re looking for a good escape room in San Diego, I recommend Fogmore Manor, or a little further north in Oceanside, Chocolate Factory is really good. EDIT: After my previous review, the owners very respectfully reached out to me to address some of the concerns I had with the room. Specifically, my last review contained a minor spoiler (with appropriate spoiler alert), and the owners have added a clue to the room to make the experience more cohesive. So I removed the reference to that part of my experience. Good for the owners for being responsive (and not defensive) about constructive criticism.

Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta Menu with Prices 12655 Deerfield Pkwy, Alpharetta

Was in the area on business. My first choice cancelled on me due to an A/C issue so I booked The Courtyard. . . Lots of annoying issues here. . . Iâ??m a gold member. I booked a king room, but they put me a room with 2 doubles. The gentleman at check in was not friendly or helpful so I didnâ??t bother trying to move. Based on the other Trip Advisor reviews, Iâ??m glad I didnâ??t waste my time. . . Itâ??s an older property and needs major attention. The beds are too soft and very uncomfortable. The furniture is old and cheap as well. There are stains on the wall. I had to kill a roach in the bathroom. Water pressure is terrible. No USB ports in DVR room (the new & refurbished Marriott properties have USBs all over the room). There is a curtain above the A/C unit that blocks the cold air from coming out of the unit. . . Full disclosure, I was out most of the day & evening so I did not have a chance to bring up these issues to the staff. I just donâ??t know what they would have accomplished. . . You would be wise to find something else while in the area.
