I love Duck Donuts, I have visited them in PA, NC, SC, others in VA and the one in Fredericksburg was so disappointing that after waiting for more than 15 minutes we had to get our money back and leave. It was a Sunday morning and only two employees were working . These two ladies were working their hardest and were very nice but they were set up to fail. Only one was making donuts but she was also the one in charge of taking orders and money and preparing the cold coffee and latte orders . The other employee couldnâ??t help because she had to keep going in back to prepare breakfast sandwiches . People continued to roll in as it was 9 am on a weekend but no donuts were being prepared because the girl couldnâ??t step away from the register from taking orders . These two ladies were friendly and nice but were left by management to a job that was impossible for them to do efficiently. I have been in many Duck Donut stores and seen them with lines that were wrapped around the outside and I have never seen one that was this disorganized and understaffed. Management , these girls needed help , such a disappointment.

Duck Donuts – Menu with Prices – 7127 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah

My family Loves Duck Donuts but today really stood out. I had been shopping for a couple of hours in the heat and having to deal with people being either ignorant or rude in three stores but I made certain that Duck Donuts was my last stop before the house so that the donuts would be hot for my family. As always, the staff were polite, Talkative (and great to talk to at that), and my donuts were made fresh on the spot (as is their way), BUT… as I walked out of the front door with my dozen donuts, the wind blew the door back at me, knocking the box out of my hands and every donuts hitting the concrete. I went back inside, a bit disheartened at how my shopping was going and told them I needed to order it again. They didnâ??t laugh at me, despite the fact that most employees elsewhere would have burst out laughing and if they laughed to themselves I would completely understand. It was kind of funny if not for the rough day. I had used a two dollar off coupon the first time so I fully expected to pay full price this time. Instead, they walked away from the register and just started remaking my donuts. I asked if I needed to pay again since I had my wallet put, ready to do it but they said, No that they saw I didnâ??t even get to try one and they saw that I didnâ??t even get through the doorway. They would remake it free of charge and they said the donuts would really be worth it this time. They really lifted my spirits.

Gourmet Donuts-N-Such Menu with Prices 4001 W Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington

I do not live in Arlington, but my mom does. My husband and I trade off every few days to come help my mom. I decided to check this place out during the summer when my mom was hospitalized. As a retired RN I know that donuts on a weekend ,when you are working can make a HUGE difference in how the nurses and techs feel about being at work for 12 hours on a weekend when your family is having fun without you. I took donuts and kolaches to the staff that were working weekends when my mom was in the hospital. I am SOOOOO glad that I came here. The donuts and kolaches are out of this world. But what is better is the wonderful people that work here. EVERY SINGLE TIME that I have walked in here,I have been treated like a Queen. They know me,never fail to ask about my mom,and I feel like they really do care about us. I have never been to a place like this. The food is GREAT,the sweet woman with the apron that is there every time I have been there is like an Angel to me. As long as I am coming to Arlington, I will never go anywhere else for donuts and kolaches. I truly LOVE this place and thank them for their kindness!

Duck Donuts – Cross Hill Market – Menu with Prices – Cross Hill Market, 702 Cross Hill Rd 100 B, Columbia

Duck Donuts is definitely my go-to if I’m ever craving donuts. Located next to Taziki’s in the same plaza as Whole Foods and Midwood Smokehouse, there is plenty of lot parking available. The restaurant itself is small, but has a nice and fun atmosphere with its duck themed decor. The staff is nice and friendly and the service is quick. Not to mention, the donuts are absolutely divine! The price of the donuts are also fair. There are plenty of options on the menu, as well as the option to build your own donut! They also update the menu seasonally, though there are still plenty of favorites that remain year-round. A popular choice, and well deserved, is the maple bacon donut. I’m personally a fan of donuts covered in nuts. We haven’t tried much on the menu outside of the donuts, but don’t really see a need to. We did try the coffee once before and it was super sweet, which isn’t too surprising in hindsight, I guess, due to it being primarily a donut shop. Definitely recommended!

Tacos Garcia – Menu with Prices – 918 N Glassell St, Orange

I tried their carnitas burrito but didn’t like it. I guess, I’ve gotten used to other tastes. But I still go back for their carnitas tacos. No one else makes carnitas tacos the way they do (it’s a good thing – in my opinion). // Also, I noticed someone said workers weren’t friendly – I’ve never experienced that. They’re some of the nicest people working restaurants. Actually, the good service is one of the reasons I keep going back. I’ve been helped by the owner, his son, the cook, and three different young ladies. These are nice, hardworking, people. I suspect they may be religious because they’re nicer than in most places – they stand out in that sense. Most of the times I’ve been there, there have been a couple of teen girls working the counter/taking the orders and serving the food and unlike teen workers in other places – these two young ladies have zero attitude. Nothing but good service here. I hope they grow and move to a location with more parking spots.

Dino’s Donuts Menu with Prices 929 E 81st Ave, Anchorage

Me: do you have any kale donuts? Girl behind the counter: No Me: do you have any vegan donuts? Girl behind the counter: No Me: do you have any sugar free donuts? Girl behind the counter: No Me: I will have one of every kind… to go. I don’t want healthy donuts. I don’t want good for you donuts. I want a good old fashion morsels of deliciousness made by a crew who knows how to get 5 gallons of flavor in a 3 ounce pastry of perfection! Dino’s nailed it! Outstanding Donuts, outstanding customer service, outstanding variety. Donuts are the last thing on the planet that I should be eating. If my doctor found out, she would say it and then she would do it, (you can figure out what IT is). sometimes the bad boy in me just needs to come out. I have the freedom to decide whether to rob a bank or go get a donut. In an effort to keep the peace and stay out of the federal penitentiary, Dino’s is my go to place when I need to break bad. Eat hearty my friends.

Donut Palace – Menu with Prices – 2810 Schaad Rd, Knoxville

This area of Knoxville has been in need of a quick breakfast spot, especially one that opens up before 6 A.M. every day. For the price and quality, The Donut Palace is going to do well. The donuts are made fresh every day/morning. Please keep in mind this isn’t a Krispy-Kreme, there is no “hot light”. So the donuts you eat may be at room temperature, but that’s why the microwave was invented. And guess what, they have one in the store. These donuts are also much larger(and cheaper)in comparison to DD or KK. I purchased some donuts and a breakfast croissant sandwich, along with some coffee. They automatically heat up all the sandwiches and Kolaches, so if you don’t want anything warmed up, let them know. For 5 dollars, you aren’t going to find a better value breakfast. I think this will be my go-to donut dive from now on. I will end with a comment on the customer service. The employees there are extremely friendly and even prepare your coffee with any sugar, creamer, or flavoring you want. They are incredibly efficient at taking orders. They have multiple people working the counter. Do not be worried if there is a line, they will get to you shortly. Job well done to them, and I hope this place has many years of patronage.

The Original Manny’s California Fresh – Menu with Prices – 1945 S, El Dorado St, Stockton

We had the very worst service today at Manny’s. The manager, he has worked there forever, and a girl with white & purple hair, were the rudest people I’ve seen. First, the had a ‘special’ on the fish sandwich for $6.75, but she charged us the full price. When we brought it to her attention, she said we go by whatever is on the board. The owner came out & looked at the special board and said ‘ok, don’t sell any more fish’. We were sitting right in front, middle booth, so was able to see & hear everything. They apparently were getting people’s orders wrong and when they brought their orders back up, they were being so rude to them. Then we wanted to get a refill on soda, the girl addressed my daughter very aggressively and again rudely. And made her wait 10 full minutes to get a refill – I timed it! As I continued to watch this manager & worker, I become more upset with how they were treating people. I asked to speak to the owner and I was told ‘He is too busy’. I just can’t believe how awful these people treated the customers. I know they make a lot of money & people like their food, but you can’t treat your customers like that. If I was a owner and someone wanted to talk to the owner, I’d see what they needed. Hopefully he doesn’t condone this kind of treatment to his customers. Never ever will I go there again and I will pass this along to everyone. Word of mouth is powerful!

Curran’s Orchard – Menu with Prices – 6385 Kilburn Ave, Rockford

Once a year I enjoy taking my kids to get donuts at the orchard. This year we went back to Curran’s. I requested a dozen warm donuts. The middle aged cashier looked at me as if I asked for an organ transplant on the spot. She went on about how they are 425 degrees and she can’t serve them that hot. Clearly, she wasn’t listening to my request. Having worked a cash register in my first job years ago I’m always polite to folks dealing with the public. She said the next batch would be out in 20-30 minutes. I waited. Upon coming back to register she said the ones they had were as warm as they will get. They were room temperature. As I have a gluten issue, I don’t eat flour. However, Apple donuts once a year are my guilt pleasure. It shouldn’t be too much to get warm donuts (not 425 or 225 or even 125 degrees). Warm. In summary I wasted a half hour for the same thing I wound up with anyways. Had my kids not been with me I would have left. I guess I go to Edwards West next year.

Total Betty Menu with Prices 7634 Louisiana Blvd NE Ste. A, Albuquerque

Gosh, I wanted to write this review weeks ago. It was generous for Total Betty to invite Elite Yelpers and guests to sample their donuts. If I could, I’d give a 3.5 rating. It is an adorable shop with a great idea…designer mini donuts! There were made to order and you better go there prepared to take some time because of so many delicious- sounding choices! The donuts were yummy and so cute. I asked what Total Betty meant and it was a reference from the ”Clueless” movie meaning an attractive women (if I got that right). So, I do recommend this shop for something unique and tasty, but I have to say that I would mostly go as a special treat or for a special occasion. Like, I might buy the donuts as a little birthday gift for a friend. $2.55 isn’t a lot of money for 3 donuts, but they were quite small. They were worth the money in the sense that they are custom-made-to-order, but if I feel like eating a donut, I’d probably just go buy a donut that was a more substantial size. I believe they do a lot of business catering for parties and I can see why since the product is so festive. I do have a couple of suggestions, if I may…the packaging is high-end looking and I’m sure it is pricey. Perhaps that could be used for to-go orders, but for stay-in orders, using less expensive paper plates might allow some money to be redirected to make donuts that are a bit bigger. Just a thought. One other suggestion would be to make some donuts that are chocolate, not only vanilla. So again, this is a great little shop. Maybe with a niche market.

Penn Station East Coast Subs – Menu with Prices – 4827 Davis Lant Dr, Evansville

Tonight my boyfriend and I went to the Penn Station on Davis Lant. We placed our order and noticed it was taking awhile… the business started to pick up more when a group of guys came in after we had been waiting about 20 minutes and got their food before we did. They were very understaffed, only two workers, lady about 40 and the other about 20. After it had been past 30 minutes, I asked if they had started my order yet. The younger lady had to ask the other worker twice to get her to answer and the older lady working replied “well I can” with an attitude. She seemed to go in the back a lot and possibly be doing prep instead of working on our order. Although the cashier (2nd register where you pay), the younger lady, (her name tag said Katelyn) I noticed how busy she kept herself and she kept a smile on her face with a pleasant attitude while greeting customers. But since the older lady at the first register had not yet started on our order after over a half hour, I asked for my money back. It was a disappointment. And I felt bad for the hard working young lady having to deal with upset customers over having to overly wait on their food because the other worker wasn’t staying on the #1 task of a restaurant: making customers orders. There were several others who had been waiting almost as long as we had.

Duck Donuts – Menu with Prices – 1329 N Battlefield Blvd Suite 140, Chesapeake

So I’ve been to so many donut shops so I know a good donut. And duck is not the place to go for donuts. The cashier was extremely rude. We walked in the store and it smelled of burning sugar or something. We were never welcomed just asked “how many”. As people who did not know how the menu work I was confused. I also noticed that the man hand mixed the batter rather than use the mixer. Duck also heated all there icing in PLASTIC CONTAINERS! Any heated product should be placed in metal containers so there is no risk of bacteria growth that can be associated with plastic. So we were watching them make our donuts and their icing table was a complete mess and looked gross. I don’t know about other people but if I’m watching someone make my food I want it to be clean. So were watching the donuts and looking at the store and we notice that the cashier is walking to the door. There were about 15 ppl in the store and it was 5 minutes before 8. The cashier with gloves on, walked to the door, locked it from the inside and turned off the sign. Before they closed. So we finished watching the donuts and took them with us. We hadn’t planned to stay long but even if we did, we couldn’t. There is no seating. So we went outside to eat our donuts. It took ten minutes to open the box because there is no open tab. We got it open and the box was a mess. The icing and everything covered the box, the donuts were super messy, and upon picking them up, the donuts fell apart in our hands. They were so soaked in grease we couldn’t eat them. We were sick to our stomachs just looking at them. We paid $8 for donuts we weren’t able to eat.

Krispy Kreme – Menu with Prices – 4904 S Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers

The donuts have always been hot and excellent , the bagels are also great, and coffee was fine. I would have given it a 5 star rating if I did not experience the poor customer service that I received. There were 2 people in front of me and a line of people behind me and the whole time I waited only 1 person was waiting on customers inside and it seemed like they had plenty of help. I believe they had about 7 people that I could recall at the time that I was there and I just cannot believe that not 1 of those 7 people came over to help that 1 lady out at the customer service counter. As a managers point of view I probably would have taken a video to show all the employees of themselves working so they can see what kind of team work they put into that. It was not that they were not working it was the fact that the customers should have come first and they should have jumped right in to help. Also the cashier that rung my order up was not a happy camper you could tell that he really did not want to be there. He rung my order up and turned around to do something with the coffee machine meanwhile my coffee and donuts were sitting at the register by him and he said â??here you can take itâ?quietly, I could barely hear him and then he slowly gave it to me. I said thank you with a smile and went on my way. Like I said it really was okay just the customer service and working as a team needs some improvement and it is not always like that when I go there but maybe if the employees saw themselves working at that time then maybe it could help to improve themselves, and be better team players.
