My 3 year old son and I were looking to kill some time one day while waiting to pick up my daughter from a birthday party and after getting a few things at Cost Plus in the mall, we headed out and I remembered seeing the sign for Cookie Dough Dreams while we were driving. We walked in and it really is a colorful and kid friendly space. My son kept thinking we were getting ice cream as the shop is set up similar to a Cold Stone or Baskin Robbins and I reminded him that this was all cookie dough in the bins and not ice cream. He selected the s’mores cookie dough with Reeses Pieces and some other mix in. The girl scooped out the cookie dough (like an ice cream shop) and mixed in the toppings and put it into the cup. I was reading that they use fresh ingredients and the cookie dough is safe to eat while the dessert was being prepared. They have a variety of flavors and then special desserts they can create. Nothing sounded particularly tempting to me. We paid (I’d say borderline pricy for what you get) and then sat down to enjoy the cookie dough. My 3 year old loved it and he polished off the whole thing except the few bites I had in between. It does taste good, and I do love cookie dough so I was happy about that but didn’t really feel the s’more flavor as we had mixed in some other things. Overall, an interesting and tasty idea. A place I’d come infrequently, but a good idea for a ‘special treat’ place with the kids. Even if the ingredients are ‘fresh’ this is by no means a healthy eating option.

Hershey’s Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 301 S Cameron St, Harrisburg

My wife and I bought Hershey’s Ice Cream Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Premium Ice Cream from a local Shop n Save, hoping for a really good ice cream night for our family. We were very disappointed. After 4 bowls of ice cream not one chunk of cookie dough was found. After 2 more bowls still no cookie dough and after finishing the carton no cookie dough to be found at all and about 10 chocolate chips were consumed. The ice cream did have a good flavor and consistency. We expected much more from a quality company like Hershey’s.

Downtown Dough Chattanooga – Menu with Prices – 100 Market St, Chattanooga

Fabulous. As a resident Chattanoogan with a big sweet tooth I have tried almost every desert place in Chatt and can say that the new Downtown Dough is up there with the best of them. The woman serving us (owner possibly?) was very kind and helpful. She told us about how the cookie dough is made and what makes it different from other competitions like the cookie dough store on northshore. The desserts itself were delicious. They tasted like actual cookie dough, not just some amalgamation that’s scooped into an ice cream cup. The dough was COLD, authentic, and tasted like something straight from my mom’s kitchen. I really hope this business takes off and has a successful run here in Chatt. It felt like I was at an old time fudge shop at the boardwalk but with the previously forbidden raw cookie dough as the main attraction. I’m also excited to see they have coffee, drinks, and banana popsicles which I’ll have to go back for! tl;dr best cookie dough place in chattanooga, if you are caught up in the “craze” that’s the no bake cookie dough and left feeling unsatisfied you will find that satisfaction here

Mixing Bowl Cookie Dough Menu with Prices 5580 S Parker Rd, Aurora

MBCD is not only bigger than you thought it would be inside, it’s delightfully as good as you want your local cookie dough and ice cream shop to be. More than anything, the service here is really stands out because this is a dessert place that takes a little more explaining than your normal ice cream shop. After having Doughp (born in SF, made famous in Las Vegas) a while back, I started seeing more of these cookie dough places pop up around the country. Denver, being the very mediocre-to-just-OK food city that it is, is just starting to get in the cookie dough shop game, five years after the coasts did. While that’s annoying, that’s the state of the Denver food scene, but I’m happy that Mixing Bowl is representing the movement in a great way. Cookie dough on its own is really, really dense. By the end of a small cup, if you’re like most people, you’ve had enough. The best part about Mixing Bowl is that they also have a delicious selection of ice cream flavors to go with your cookie dough. Mixing good ice cream with good cookie dough makes for a great dessert, and it makes for a much better experience. Everyone working there is happy to let you sample flavors, and they’re super helpful to help you figure it out if you’re there for the first time. It’s clean. The combos are plentiful. The people are nice. This is such a great addition to this section of Parker Road, and it’s a fun place to get a break from your typical dessert!

The Bigg Chill – Menu with Prices – 10850 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles

Found this place through yelp and was so excited to try this place because lately I’m obsessed with cookie dough!! They have so much variety of cookie dough flavors so I had to go! The place is super retro neon which is super cute. The owner is super nice and let us sample different flavors of the frozen yogurt which was not bad I like the classic vanilla and the cookie butter. I ordered a small size cup, you can have two yogurt flavors but I only chose classic vanilla. For toppings you have to pay extra. 2$ for 3 toppings I chose the chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut cookie dough and crushed Oreos. Sadly I was pretty disappointed that they don’t offer samples for the cookie dough, but other places do. My boyfriend ordered the espresso frozen yogurt with sugar cookie dough, mint chips and cheesecake bits. I was very disappointed with the cookie dough! The quality was really bad the cookie dough was not smooth at all and it tasted old and churchy not because of the chocolate chip. The peanut cookie dough was worst the peanuts were really stale. I did not like their cookie dough at all I just ate the frozen yogurt with the crushed Oreos. They should let customers to try the cookie dough before getting it. What made me threw the rest of my ice cream away was when the froyo was starting to melt, I saw a separation of the froyo and watery yellow liquid it was gross. The price was also disappointing as well for 2 smallest container of frozen yogurt with toppings is $14, 7$ each. It is overpriced for the bad quality I’m getting. I don’t think I will be coming bad. 2 stars because the service was pretty good.

Crave Cookie Dough – Menu with Prices – 325 E Walnut St Suite 102, Springfield

Review of the new location on Rebuplic Road. Was not what I was expecting. Well I knew what I was ordering, but the texture and flavor just didn’t remind me of cookie dough. If you’re going to establish yourself as a cookie dough dispenser, then you better hit a grand freaking slam on your Chocolate Chip cookie dough recipe. The Crave’s Chocolate Chipper reminded me of an overly sweet frosting. There wasn’t the grittiness associated with cookie dough and the different ingredients didn’t show themselves. What I mean is when you cheat and eat homemade dough you can taste the different ingredients… I also tried the Wedding Cake, flavor was on point, but wasn’t anything special. My wife had the OMG PB, and Chocolate Chipper. Again, the texture of the “dough” just doesn’t match the real thing. If you’re a true Fatty Fat Fatterson like me, you know good unhealthy junk food from the fake stuff. Crave got me for one visit, but they will not get me again. This is a trendy sweet option that will not stand the test of time. Save your money and buy the real thing from the grocery store…. Yes, there are risks eating this as there are risks with anything we eat…. It’s your call…..

The Dough Shoppe – Menu with Prices – 844 Willard Dr #2, Green Bay

So much potential. The cookie dough is really good. They have a small selection. The store is big and white. There is potential here. During the non-snow months, they also have a trailer they go to different events to also sell their cookie dough. The pricing is a little high for what you get. But there is potential here. Could do cooked cookie shells to then put the cookie dough in. Save money on a little less packaging and customer eats everything. With the size of the space, how about selling complementary items to cookie dough. Also, the exterior could use better/bigger signs. Being in a small strip mall marketing needs to be the beacon. The potential is there. Keep moving forward. I’ll be back.

Mitch’s Cookies – Dessert Bar & Soda Fountain – Menu with Prices – 4844 Davis Blvd, Naples

Awesome ice cream soda fountain shop. Cookies are amazing, had the cookie sundae with a chocolate chip cookie, real hot fudge, sprinkles, royal scoop cookie dough ice cream and a cherry. The cookie was heated and the sundae was amazing. We got some other cookies to take hone, peanut butter chocolate chip and chocolate chip with fudge inside. My wife had a black cow with rootbeer and vanilla ice cream, amazing. My son had a vanilla milk shake, loved it. The owner is so nice. Seating outside and high tops inside. Nice old cash register. Great atmosphere. Wonderful location near publix in kings lake shopping plaza. Fantastic.

Street Sweets 1969 LLC – Menu with Prices – 4106 State St, Salem

I was so excited to try this food truck. Their menu looked extensive and delicious, with quite a few typos but the food still was appealing! What caught my eye was that they have edible cookie dough, that’s something I’ve never had before that doesn’t have a salmonella warning lol. I was definitely going to buy some and my husband was going to get a shake. Before we ordered, there was about 3 flavors of cookie doughs, one including a flavor of cookie I had never heard before so I had asked the server/attendant if they gave samples or could let me try it, she literally scoffed at me and said “Well, my cookie dough tastes like any other cookie dough.” If you can’t read it with attitude, definitely imagine it because she had a LOAD of it. I assume she was the manager or owner because I then explained I had never heard of the kind of cookie dough and she said “Well, it’s like a sugar cookie. It’s my snickerdoodle recipe with sprinkles. So, that’s what it tastes like.” 3 sentences dripping with attitude and facial expressions that were attempting to make me feel stupid. I walked away right after, we will never give these people our money.

Nedzas Waffles Menu with Prices Athens

Very, very difficult to find. Follow their Instagram page to see where they are headed. Waited in like for over an hour to get my hands on a waffle. It’s a bit pricey, but I think it’s a cute idea. You get to choose ice cream or cookie dough and two toppings (for the Might Joe and the Good Ol” Kévin). I’m more of a cookie fought fan so I went with the Good Ol’ Kev and it was just a sugar lover’s dream. Also the waffles are very instagram-able.

Sugar Mama’s Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 11208 Lee Hwy, Fairfax

One of the best, ice cream shops that make amazing homemade ice cream!! (: I can tell it’s purely homemade because it’s not too sugary like most store brand ones are. As a sweet tooth lover, it’s not overloaded with sugar that can give me a sugar coma if I eat too much haha! If I don’t have control over myself, I will actually eat the whole pint they sell lol. The flavors I tried so far were: -Cookie Dough -Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip -Espresso Chip I wanted to try Peanut Butter Cup, but they always seem to sell out fast ): All those 3 flavors were DELICIOUS. I love, love, LOVE that it has the baking chocolate chips in its whole form, instead of shredded/chopped up bits of chip. The slight, frozen crunch of chips are just so satisfying~ First off, Black Raspberry was slighty berry fruity, but it was like eating a sweet, berry yogurt (just not sour!). I can definitely taste the creamy milk in the ice cream. Just the right amount of sugar they put in! Not super sweet at all. With the Cookie Dough, I am a BIG fan of the cookie dough pieces in my ice cream. The dough pieces were surprisingly not sweet at all either. It just felt like eating a piece of fresh, homemade cookie, not a sugar cube haha. It was also soft enough to let it melt in your mouth, kind of feeling. The Espresso Chip.. not going to lie, is the best one I have tried. Espresso shouldn’t be too strong or overly sweet (that’s not espresso then….?) when mixed with ice cream. It was on point!! I love coffee. Espresso had the right amount of milk added to it, along with a tiny, slight bit of bitterness to it. Pretty much like coffee with milk with a dash of sugar (: YUM!!! Overall, these ice cream flavors they sell are great for non-sweet lovers, or even older people. I like stocking up from this store rather than buying, sugary and artificially flavored ice creams at the local stores. God knows what other bad stuff they put in those store bought ones…

Coffeezaun Espresso – Menu with Prices – 4518 N Pearl St, Tacoma

This place is great! I highly recommend. Most original drink menu I’ve seen in years. My husband’s coffee was spot-on and my applr pear iced tea was refreshing! I can’t wait to go back and try something else. Service was also good, young woman at the window was friendly and accommodating. Gluten free and vegan options for snacks, all alternative/milk subs available too. My only complaint is the cookie dough bar we ordered. The name “cookie dough bar” made me think it would have chunks of cookie dough in it, or on top of it. In fact the picture posted on the menu looked gooey and delicious. What we recieved was a dry chocolate chip cookie bar, no dough, not even under-baked to give it that dough-ish quality. I don’t think all the pastries would be this disappointing because I could see them through the window and they looked authentic. The overall experience was good so I’ll be back to try again with the treats.

NoBaked Cookie Dough Nashville – Germantown – Menu with Prices – 1120 4th Ave N #102, Nashville

A really cute and unique idea that offers a novel experience and insta worthy pictures. Return business? Not so much. The concept of NoBaked is like a love hate relationship, but with more emphasis on the hate. The concept of eating rich cookie dough every visit just sounds like a punishment, and I like to eat plenty of cookie dough. They have a nice simple menu, with a handful of flavor choices. In addition to indoor seating, they have a nice patio attached to the parking lot! I ordered a single scoop of the original dough and put chocolate chips on top. It was rich and gooey and offered a rich and delicious flavor. However, I definitely struggled to eat more than a couple bites. I find that an issue for the fact that it happened even with the smallest serving size. Maybe just aim to split a single? For those complaining it’s too rich..may I remind you, this is cookie dough? I wouldn’t expect anything less than rich. Definitely worth a visit, but plan to split a serving with others.
