I recommend Bouquet Flower Shop to anyone who is in need of floral arrangements. We have gotten flowers for our daughter’s graduation, prom, various birthdays and Boss’s Day, etc. They have always been willing to work with in whatever budget we have given them and we have never been disappointed. I was prompted to write this review when one of my co-workers was given a birthday bouquet from a client. Every single one of my clients today asked where the arrangement was from (I’m close to the front of the salon where it was on display), and I got to brag on Bouquet Flower Shop again. I love this place and I (very obviously) recommend it. ?

Ku Cha House of Tea – Menu with Prices – 128 S College Ave, Fort Collins

I’d give this zero stars if I could. The service was horrible. The woman at the counter didn’t know they offered a tea party sampling of pastry’s. She was nice enough to offer to get me a set to go once I pointed out the signage. I asked if she could box it up as it was a birthday gift, she said yes. As she wrapped up the pastry’s another employee came to help, he was rude and did not want to have her box it. I also purchased two small ceramic tea cups (they we VERY pricey) he used a single sheet of tissue and didn’t offer a box. He also kept telling the girl to put my pastry’s in a bag, ignoring my box request. Then he put my tea, mugs and 1/2 the pastry’s in a small plastic bag. The small box of the other 1/2 of pastry’s wouldn’t even fit in the bag. I again asked for a bigger box similar to many on display in the shop and the male employee said they had none to spare! My birthday gift is in many separate packages while they offer gift sets created in store in boxes! I am VERY disappointed in the service I received! I will not shop here again and will tell other not to shop here as well. There are other tea shops in Fort Collins!

Mercedes Flowers Menu with Prices 2125 Goodrich Studio Only, Suite B, Austin

Not typically one to review, but after years of remarkable service, this is way overdue. My wife has lived in Austin for 25 years, orders flowers for clients and friends regularly, has likely used every, or almost every, local florist in town and has arrived at the point where she ONLY uses Mercedes. So it follows that that is how I found ’em :). I’m not a flower guy. Like them. Just don’t get the big deal. That said, I can absolutely tell the difference in quality and presentation when comparing arrangements from Mercedes to those from other shops. You pay a bit more, but the value added substantially outweighs the incremental cost. Worth noting, too: multiple instances of some of the best customer I’ve ever experienced. More than once, when I’ve had a special request or short notice order, the owner has made it happen and then followed through with a phone call/text to give me an update or let me know that the job was complete. And I know that it’s entering the mainstream after Amazon began doing it with their package delivery, but I think Mercedes Flowers was one of the first small businesses to take a picture of the delivered arrangement and email/text it to you right as it arrived. Peace of mind knowing that/when it got there and exactly what it looks like. This business was ahead of the curve and it goes to demonstrate where the owner’s head is at when it comes to customer service. All in all, Mercedes Flowers sets the bar when it comes to a well-run, customer-centric family business. Keep it up, y’all, and thanks.

Nothing Bundt Cakes – Menu with Prices – 2100 Standiford Ave Suite E17-18, Modesto

I LOVE this chain. Definitely affordable desserts like no other. I had this early misperception that the cakes would be too thick and flavorless. So not true! The cakes are filling yes but they are so flavorful and comforting. I always order the single packs of red velvet. Occasionally I order the confetti flavored. Each location has their own stamp card though that you can’t mix together. Probably because each location is owned by different people. Over the weekend, I ordered two single cakes of lemon and red velvet as a birthday gift and they offer to wrap it. Adding a flower would be an extra $1. The celebratory flag words and ribbon were free (or I hope so because they never informed me it would cost extra). Featured was the product for less than $11. I think it’s a steal and it’s nice to have two flavors of cake rather than just the general one.

Revocup Coffee House South – Menu with Prices – 11822 W 135th St, Overland Park

I I really want to love this coffee shop, as A) they have good single origin coffee and B) they are LOCALLY OWNED. The big problem with this particular location, however, is that the interior totally lacks “soul.” It’s sterile, commercial, sparse, and looks like it was decorated by an old lady that went to Hobby Lobby and only had a $250 budget. My mother-in-law that lives in rural Nebraska and still wears turtle necks has better style. The interior is so sparse and bland I honestly think twice before meeting clients there, as the environment (mostly tables not comfy couches) is so stiff people don’t relax like they would in a normal coffee shop. As others have mentioned, they serve their coffee in a press pot and don’t brew it fresh, meaning you never know if you’re drinking coffee that was brewed over an hour ago. Also, I went to meet a friend here last night, driving right by the completely-packed Starbucks next door (which also has a drive through) and learned the hard way that Revocup south closes at 7:00!!! I WANT to love this coffee shop, but just can’t recommend it for the reasons mentioned above.

Crumb Together – Menu with Prices – 980 Oak St, Eugene

Once again, I would give this rating 10 stars if allowed. I was introduced to Crumb Together by a friend earlier this year. As a cookie fan, I placed an order. When it arrived, my socks were knocked off – they are THAT good. I knew immediately that I would be ordering more for client gifts this holiday season, and I did. The orders have all arrived. – here is where I am absolutely thrilled. I have received either an email or a phone call from each client that I sent cookies to. This has NEVER happened. EVER! I’ve heard “How did you find this company?” “These are the best cookies I have ever had!!” “Thank you so much! The entire office is head over heals with the cookies” My clients are not the pick up the phone over cookie kind of folks. These are very busy folks. I am stunned by their response. Thank you guys! Merry Christmas!

We love that they grill onsite, it adds to the Ranch ambiance and ensures that the meal is fresh and hot! If you are looking for a catering team that provides tasty food with a top notch staff, look no further.

Cafe Makario – Menu with Prices – 2625 Colby Ave suite 2C, Everett

Exceeded my coffee shop experience! Small, dark, very well decorated, it was definitely worth a visit. Experience is even better when you have your two best friends with you! The owner was very meticulous about making cup taste to your expectation and looking beautiful! We ordered the flower latte, peppermint mocha, einspanner and a small order of waffles. The drinks were so dreamy! It was the perfect level of sweetness. The chocolate shavings on the einspanner is to die for! As for the flower latte, it was definitely a different order for me. It was my first time trying a flower latte, but I would definitely order it again. If you prefer a sweeter drink, I would suggest the peppermint mocha or einspanner because with you can definitely taste the espresso in the flower latte vs the sweetness, which I personally enjoy more!

Terrasse Nelligan – Menu with Prices – 106 Saint-Paul St W, Montreal

We were a table of 5 and sat facing the kitchen and preparation area we see everything that goes on as we wait for our order. We had to wait over an hour for our food. A service- bus boy is in the kitchen area to bring out the plates for clients he touches all the plates and puts crouton type crackers on each of the client plates with his bare fingers. Yes, bare fingers. Moments later he scratches his head with both hands and rubs his hair with the same unwashed hands and proceeds to manipulate more food without utensils. He tastes the cracker pops one in his mouth and then wiped his face with his hand. This happens more than once in a short period of time. Plates of food are sitting on the shelf area for food that is ready and waiting to be brought to the clients it’s getting cold. They are there for a long time, at least 10 minutes this young man is confused he is alone and nothing is moving. He keeps reading the notes on the orders it looks like he does not understand – there is nobody to help him- I loose my appetite. Several of the staff have eaten the French fries, crackers and ham in the same way with their fingers in the service area. This also includes the manager. This is true, and very serious. Seriously? After I told the manager about this he told me this is usual that preparation is done with bare hands. I asked if it is normal to wipe your face and scratch your hair too without any hygiene or gloves when handling food? Now I feel very nauseous as I write this review. It was disgusting, the waiter was a nice guy but could not say or do much, as for the manager he said he’d speak to the busboy- not sure if there was never any coaching before why would there be any now?

Darryl’s Ice Cream Solutions, LLC. – Menu with Prices – 1, Beach Dr NE, St. Petersburg

If I could give this business zero stars, I would. Darryl is definitely in the dairy business, that is to milk his clients for money while wasting their time. I never had someone in business refuse to offer up references upon request. That was the first red flag! When searching for reviews, only one exits. A 5 star rating, from the man himself. That would be the next of many red flags. He is the only “business consultant” I have ever met that don’t start with the common core basics of business…FINANCIALS is fundamental when concerning business. It’s like buying a house without pre-qualifying a client. I asked him to assist in budget, ROI, and the essentials to business planning, which he again refused to address. Don’t waste your time, and money. Business is business. Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Pie and Cake – Menu with Prices – 1160 E Alton Gloor Blvd, Brownsville

NEVER BUY A CAKE HERE! Went in to purchase a cake for my husband on his birthday today. I specifically asked the lady who attended me if the cake I was going to buy was all chocolate she proceeded to say yes and that the top of the cake had strawberries. I said fine I will take it. I got home sang happy birthday and we cut the cake and it turned out the inside was filled with strawberry filling (jam). I called to ask if I could return the cake for another since it was not what I asked for, the lady seemed very bothered and said she couldn’t. We asked if we could speak to the owner and she proceeded to say that she probably wouldn’t answer cause she was busy.. she didn’t even want to help. Very rude and just blamed us. My niece was with me and also heard her say it was all chocolate. She didn’t even let us speak as she kept interrupting us. She then insulted me by saying you should know all our cakes come with filling. What?! It was my first time purchasing a cake there. How would anyone know unless they are a returning client. Very rude and a horrible experience. Not to mention the small piece we did try tasted horrible! It was as if we were eating a cake made at Walmart.

The Upper Cut KC – Menu with Prices – 9769 N Cedar Ave, Kansas City

I was on a business trip from the Twin Cities and had to find a shop to pick up some beef in cattle country. These guys are top notch and I love the unassuming location. Single cut steaks in the display case for reference is always a sign of a good meat market vs. having rows of each cut. They cut my Akaushi KC strips just right, were very informative, had the best jerky I have ever had and were incredibly gracious. Sometimes quality is worth paying up for and these guys proved. Big shout out to the crew and as a chef/hospitality professional I was blown away by the attention to detail and the passion the young women and in house butcher had showed. Three thumbs up and for the love of god, if you are in for a 7 hour road trip after leaving their store be sure to get more than one pack of that Jerky. I was close to tears as that single bag I purchased only got me to Des Moines and I had 4 more hours of road time ahead. You live, you learn…
