Google states they open at 8 am arrived at the location yet it was very dark inside, the open neon sign was not lit. I Left but i was craving gorditas de barbacoa , so I turned around and went back, got off & pulled on the door which was still locked. It was approximately 8:12 am. an employee came to the door and opened it. I asked her if it was open? I barely heard her response. The lady opening the door was cold, no smile not even a good morning.. a PROPER GREETING!! I tried to talk to her but she was so rude .. the rice was not ready (made) I waited for the rice to be made. When I received my order (2 gorditas rice & beans large horchatas $10.37 kinda pricy) the same lady brought my order.. still with the same attitude as when I walked in. Didnâ??t ask if I needed anything else, just placed my order on the table and left. When I was eating my food I was disgusted with the excessive oil in my plate running down my hand. I waited to see if someone was going to come over and ask if everything was ok but no one did. I was going to show and tell them about my extremely greasy gordita. But no one did so I just threw the other Gordita away and this is why Iâ??m writing this bad review.

Gorditas El Sabor De Mi Pueblo – Menu with Prices – 3113 Crows Landing Rd #9416, Modesto

They were having a bad day today I guess. We show up on Sunday morning for breakfast. They already have many orders taken but their tables and eating area is filthy. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for 4 gorditas. The gorditas were so dry. They didn’t even have lemon or lime for them. I’m disappointed by their service. If they are short people or know people will be waiting over 30 minutes for their food, they should tell people as they order. Instead they continued taking order after order. At one point the people sitting around us joked that there was no one eating at this place. We were literally all waiting. I hope this doesn’t continue to happen. Next time, I think I’ll try the gordita place across from them. Maybe they will have better service.

Gorditas Dona Tota – Menu with Prices – 123 Old Port Isabel Rd #1-2, Brownsville

This place is pretty delicious. They have many different flavors to choose from and the restaurant itself has a modern feel to it. I usually get the combo de la casa I believe it’s called, which comes with 1 gordita with beans and cheese and 2 gorditas of your choice. It also comes with a drink and a side, but I have found that their sides are not too great. They only offer rice and fideo as their sides and they’re both very underwhelming, especially the rice which is kept in a Tupperware container that looks like someone’s lunch. The workers here sometimes seem as if they hate their job often dragging their feet and aggressively handling equipment and food as if they are annoyed that they have to make it for you. All in all this place is delicious because of the gorditas, but their sides suck and there is a chance you’ll get bad service

Gorditas Doña Tota – Menu with Prices – 2019 Bob Bullock Loop C-200, Laredo

Came here because I’m pregnant and was CRAVING some gorditas. We paid and sat and waited…and waited…AND waited!!! I noticed other ppl who arrived after my family and I did were getting their food. It had already been 30 min since we paid. So i got up and asked about my order. And well low and behold no one got it or worked on it. We didnt even get an apology or anything! And i hate how they jam pack all 4 gorditas into one tiny plate, because then they all get soggy. Ugh I was irrate to say the least. Especially because I had my 4 and 3 year old who were also very hungry

Taco Riendo – Menu with Prices – 5324 Williamson Rd, Roanoke

let me tell you…I absolute LOVE this place….they are only open Thursday-Sunday and I eat there at least twice a week!! The chicken gorditas are THE BEST!!! The tacos ARE THE BEST!! The folks that work there are so nice and friendly, and the owner whom name I think is Felix…is the best!! So friendly and always makes sure your good is correct and that you are enjoying it! I have tried to duplicate the little gordita pockets that they hand make…but I can’t…so I will wait all week until Thursday…and go get them!! This place is such a gem!!! Also they have a little grocery store next door and beside that they have a truck that they serve all kinds of sweet treats!!! I love this place!!!

Lupita’s Bakery & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 3600 N 19th St, Waco

We stumbled upon this find. There was no meno, but we were told they could make us whatever we wanted….tacos, burritos, gorditas. We decided upon chorizo and egg gorditas in corn with a little cheese. I ordered two for each of us because I was expecting something a little bigger than the size of my palm. I could hear the eggs being scrambled and the sound of working the dough as we waited. The food was amazing. I felt as though I had stumbled upon a friend’s house and her mom was making us pockets of love as she had been taught by her mother. The balance of chorizo to egg was perfect. I debated about 4 or 5 stars, because there is room for improvement, but I can still taste the gorditas and I wish I lived nearby so I could visit again.

Tacos Chiwas Chandler – Menu with Prices – 2160 N Alma School Rd, Chandler

I came here for the first time with my daughter to get some takeout food. Plus this is my first experience with Tacos Chiwas a small place that sits along Alma School Road, north of Warner Road. I let my daughter take over the ordering, since I am new to this place, and have never been to the one in Phoenix. On this review I am going to focus on their Gordita only. This is because in two days in a row I was reminded of my mom’s cooking as a kid growing up in the 50’s in Phoenix. There is something to say about culture food. It doesn’t matter what culture food you are eating. That little something that you eat brings back memories of a time gone by. Let me explain about the Gordita here at Tacos Chiwas. First of all my daughter did the ordering, and I didn’t know what I had ordered until we arrived back at her house to partake in eating. When I opened up my Gordita first of all I just sat there for a moment before I took a picture of it. When staring at my food I was reminded of my mom once more. There was a manner in which my mom would take it upon herself and just plainly cook with what I call pure love. I remember her making what she called the gordita tortilla like round, kind of thick and maybe 4 inches in diameter little flour tortilla. She would cut through in the center, so that you could stuff it with whatever she had made for us to eat for our dinner. Ahh, the memory of those moments of mom’s cooking. This is what the Tacos Chiwas Gordita did to me. It may be something some of you will not really understand but, that’s okay. The thing is I still can only give Tacos Chiwas 4 stars, and only because of the Gordita By the way, my taco was good but, it really is difficult to find a place where everything is exceptionally good. This is my story and partly review of my take on Tacos Chiwas.

El Ranchero Meat Market – Menu with Prices – 1814 N Story Rd, Irving

After visiting this taco place so many times and always being satisfied with the tacos me and my husband recently had a really bad experience. My husband found a ball of hair in his tacos and it was so disgusting I immediately told him to call so that he can get his order replaced. I honestly was so disgusted I didnâ??t even want to finish my own tacos. He called and was told to take the tacos back to them and so he can speak to the manager in charged. After we got there I got off with my husband and we showed the lady the box with the tacos and the hair ball we found. She immediately tried to insinuate that we put the hair ball in there. She also went on to say that the place was clean and the guys who made the tacos didnâ??t see anything. This got me really Angry. First of all we had not eat all day we were starving and decided to pick up tacos from here. As soon as we ordered them we got home and started eating. Putting hair balls in my tacos is not really how I would like to spend my afternoon. I donâ??t have time for bs like this. She also said that the hair would have been â??wetâ? if we truly did find it there. I this point I was extremely angry and just wanted to know if she was going to replace my order or not. The box had 7 tacos and my husband had only eat 3 he was still hungry. We didnâ??t want free food we just wanted the tacos that werenâ??t accompanied by a hair ball. Not coming here for a really long time.

Salazar’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1368 Atlanta Rd SE, Marietta

Ever have your heart set on a place you’ve been thinking about for over a week, finally get to go eat there only to find out they are closed? I love Asian food and wanted to give Hoang Long Oriental Food Market because several friends have now told me they are probably the best PHO in town. To my surprise, my buddy Danny was there to greet me when I arrived (thanks Calendar!!) and we immediately asked ourselves “well…. where to now?” To our surprise, Our good friend Jesus who owns a car repair shop in the area stopped by to say hello (thanks calendar!!) and when he noticed they were closed, said “alright, let’s go get tacos!!”. We had our other friend Gustavo get there just in time to go check out these tacos (Calendar… thank you!!). Bakery Salazar… apparently this used to just be a Latino bakery that started selling tacos along with some other side items and when they got so popular, they decided to buy the suite next door, they expanded and have been a bakery/taco business now for about 3 months. The location is clean and spacious inside, you immediately get the smell of the bakery which is awesome. Their menu offers your typical Mexican menu of items like tacos, quesadilla, burritos, gorditas, sopes as well as bottled/canned sodas or aguas frescas (free refills!!), aguas frescas are Mexican juices. I ordered a taco plate which comes with 3 tacos, rice and beans. The chicken taco was good but the barbacoa tacos have a lot more taste, add the salsa verde to your tacos and it makes for a great meal. The refried beans are a nice compliment along with the tacos with the cheese adding an awesome melty texture and the rice was tasty and well done. I ordered a steak gordita because Jesus said they were good and I wanted to try one, and I order a quesataco because I was curious…. I assumed it was a taco with cheese? The gordita was awesome and filled with steak but I’ll get chicken or barbacoa next time since the steak is on the cheaper side. The quesataco (pictured above) is basically two taco tortillas slapped together with cheese and steak in between…. so kind of like a quesadilla looking meal but that tasted more like a taco? either way, it was unexpected and awesome. We all enjoyed our meal and thanked Jesus for saving the day!! If you find yourself in the Marietta area and on a budget because of LIFE or because you have your kids with you, Salazar Bakery should be on your maps to go to!! Check them out and let me know what you think.  EDIT: We got free churros!!!  Roli’s Rating: 1. Service: 8/10, Service was friendly and patient as we stood over the counter taking our sweet time deciding what to order. Although this is an order over the counter area and they bring your food (no waiter/waitress), the lady behind the counter would kindly come over from time to time and asked if we needed any refills of their aguas frescas 2. Price: 10/10, I don’t remember the last time I went to a place to eat where I got so much food for my $$. I ordered 3 tacos with rice and beans, a gordita, a quesataco (which ended up being more than expected) with an horchata to drink…. all for $12…. you can safely come in here and eat a meal with a drink for $5. I think the most expensive item I saw on their menu were their sandwiches and burritos which will cost you $7 3. Location and Parking: 6/10, Parking here won’t be an issue but the location is out of the way in Marietta, so a drive will be necessary 4. Cleanliness: 9/10, The location was very clean 5. Health Rating: A (100) 6. Roli Overall Rating: 6/10,  Good food if you’re in the area   **Roli’s Recommendations** BARBACOA TACOS, GORDITAS, QUESATACO

Taqueria La Central Mexican Grill – Menu with Prices – 806 E Baseline St, San Bernardino

We have been driving by this place forever ever! It is on the corner all by it’s self small and looks a little lonely. It has dine in take out and a drive-thru. We finally decided to stop in a give them a try. We were greeted with a smile and promptly seated with our menus. They make all of your regular mexican food. Like burritos, enchiladas, tortas, hard shell tacos, soft street tacos, sopes, gorditas, rice, and beans. They also have pizza, wings, hamburgers, fries for those that don’t want mexican food. Now this review is on the Torta and Gorditas we had. The Asada was good and not old. The beans and rice were homemade and tasty. The gorditas were good and homemade. The only thing is all of it lacked a little salt. But nothing I can’t add myself We will return to sample other menu items. I will keep U posted ?

Don Chava Cocina Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 708 N 10th St, McAllen

This little place is a Food truck that’s been in that corner for awhile. Everyone At my work goes there for lunch. They do have to benches with umbrellas outside, or you can take it to go. You can even eat in your car lol. The two ladies that run it make everything fresh and it shows. They do make small portions in order to accommodate fresh and ready to go food. Their specialty is Gorditas and Tacos, but man do they make good Lunch plates. Its definetly like grandma used to make. You won’t be disappointed. They have nice combos at a very affordable price. 3 gorditas rice and a drink for 6 dollars. Can’t beat that. Ask for limes and both hof sauces! Enjoy!

Classic Cue cash only – Menu with Prices – 647 N Riverside Dr, Clarksville

I took two friends here last night to play a game of pool. I guess there was a tournament going on that we didnâ??t know about and the bar tenders told us it was okay to play on the middle pool table. Iâ??ve never been treated so disrespectfully by people at a bar like this before. The lady playing next to our table had nothing nice to say and made it known that we where a bother. Someone approached my friend and told him they didnâ??t like him and that he should move. He was only smoking a cigarette and sitting on a chair in the back.

Mr. Kim Korean BBQ Restaurant Menu with Prices 12201 E Mississippi Ave #113, Aurora

I have eaten here several times and the service has never been anything to write home about, but came here tonight and I am completely disappointed and pissed off with my experience (or should I say non experience). Walked in and waited for a a minute or so before someone came and acknowledged us. He takes us to our table and gets us water. It’s AYCE so it’s pretty easy to just know what you want to order right away. I am usually patient and want to give them the benefit of the doubt because I already know their service isn’t the greatest. Well, we waited and waited and waited. Two more parties came in and were both sat. One party (non Asian) got sat first. Then an Asian party gets seated right next to us and one of servers goes over to them and takes their order within two minutes of them sitting down… yes before my table who was seated before all three parties and before the non Asian party seated before them. We had been waiting for 13 minutes and no one came and talked to us or acknowledged us at all. So I figure okay, the server is probably gonna take our order next… maybe she’s busy. After she takes the order next to us, she starts walking away. Then she starts walking toward us again after setting menus down so I just stare at her and we lock eyes. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and you can tell when someone needs something. Then she walks right past us still not acknowledging us. I could’ve waived her down, but kinda just wanted to see if she was really not going to come to our table at all. That was enough for me. We have never waited that long nor been completely ignored here. It’s a shame bc this place has good food and decent prices. Like I said, I have eaten here several times before, even brought friends and family here. This experience was so bad that I will definitely not come back again. Will now be taking my business to any other kbbq place. This was completely ridiculous!!!
