This place is amazing along with the other Las Tortugas locations. About this one in particular I love the super friendly service and very courteous staff. The place is great, the price is right and the food, second to none. The location is very accessible, on the corner of Parker Rd and Peoria street, in Aurora, on the edge with Denver. Truly Mexican. This is not a regular restaurant but an inside-street taco stand sort of. So no waiters, no hostesses you place your order, pay for that and just seat in the available table with high chairs. The menu is very extensive and have funny names for each sandwich , called tortas. They are huge. Food is prepared in front of everyone so you know your torta will be handled properly. All good is well seasoned and the prices are too affordable. They also have fruit drinks, made to order, much better and healthier that the sodas, but they have sodas too if that’s your thing. Fruit shakes? No problem, they will be prepared for you as you place your order. The staff, fully bilingual, courteous and friendly. Be nice and leave a tip. This is still a restaurant, not a fast food outlet. They work hard for the money. The place is extremely clean, not loud and great atmosphere. But if you can’t dine-in, you can order take out, even better, they offer delivery. Check the pricing and conditions, but still, affordable. In the Mexican culture, tortas take place instead of the American burgers, and that’s a big staple of the Mexican culture, not only the tacos. You’ll be delighted to taste their food and you’ll keep coming back for more. I’ve been in this location several times but Yelp says this is my first check in, not accurate. So I can say this is a place for comfort food that I can recommend. My favorite is the pierna and queso torta (shredded pork leg meat with cheese). Thank you guys for a positive experience each time.

Michoacan Tortas y Tacos – Menu with Prices – 5605 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth

So I’ve been on a search for a good torta and I finally found it! Everywhere else I have gone I’ve gotten tortas that are just okay (mainly pretty plain and dry) but here my torta was delicious. The tortas come with beans, mayo, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños and oh yes…AVOCADO! My only complaint is that there was no cheese on it, but I didn’t really feel like it affected the flavor. I just love cheese ? The service was quick, friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We’ll definitely return for more tortas in the future.

La Nopalera – Menu with Prices – 5606 Schroeder Rd, Madison

I stopped here just because I love random placed restaurants, just hoping to find a gem, and this stop did not disappoint! If you are looking for tacos, keep driving. No Tacos here! But it doesn’t matter. The diamonds here are the Tortas and juices. The Tortas are to die for! A big Mexican sandwich. It’s like juicy burrito stuffings on a huge Mexican bun. You can pick your favorite meat and mine is definitely the Pork. ( it’s the owners favorite, too.) You have a choice of jalapeños or chipotle on the Torta. Jalapeño is the way to go. Jalapeños are tangy and add a small bit of heat that goes great with the rich and juicy pork meat. Have everything on the Torta, lettuce, tomatoes. The whole thing. ITS SOOO GOOD! This Torta can get messy, so avoid if you are on a first date. I highly recommend eating it right away in the restaurant and not packing it to go. As the bun will soak up all the pork juice. The other reason I gave this place 5 stars are the juices! Really affordable fresh juiced vegetable and fruits are hard to find! I love the beet, pineapple , celery and apple. But you can add whatever you want and it’s the same price. In the cooler they have flan ( don’t miss that!) and other desserts and they also sell a very good chorizo that you can take home and cook for breakfast with your eggs. The place is super clean and the owners are so friendly. The place is a little off the beaten track, but, So worth it!

Tortas Manny – Menu with Prices – 845 W Southern Ave, Phoenix

Tortas Manny is a great torta place located in the same complex as Food City. It’s very unassuming and super authentic so you are in for a treat if you swing by! I dropped by after work on a Friday afternoon and grabbed some tortas to go for dinner. I got the vegetarian torta and got my friend a green chile beef torta with a side of fries. I also got some elote for my friend as well. The tortas come with a side of some spicy spicy hot sauce/salsa which I was personally obsessed with. The vegetarian torta was delicious — filled with cheese, avocado, jalapeno, tomato, and some lettuce. The bread was super good and I honestly could only eat half of a portion in one sitting since I devoured all the fries in one go *oops*. My friend enjoyed the beef torta, but felt that the elote had too little corn and too much crema + mayo. Overall, the food was great and the portions are amazing for the price. Service was super sweet and my food was ready in a jiffy. Definitely swing by if you are in the area and grab some great tortas on the most delicious bread!

Tortas Vegas? – Menu with Prices – 10890 S Eastern Ave Suite 111, Henderson

This is what I had been waiting for. A vegetarian torta! I stopped in to Tortas Vegas after seeing this business pop up on my yelp dash. I searched through the menu and behold, a vegetarian option. My next day off, this was going to happen. Tortas Vegas was so cute! The interior was bright, colorful, clean, and spacious. The employees were so polite and attentive. Our food was brought out to us in a timely manner. I order the vegetarian torta as a combo. It came with rice, beans, chips, a small container of salsa, and an house made drink. The torta was huge! For 15 dollars I had more than enough food. I honestly could have shared but instead, like the foodie I am, I devoured every bite! The torta was full of flavor. Fresh homemade pesto, grilled squash, roasted red pepper, and melted cheese were the perfect combination. It was everything you’d want in a vegetarian option. The rice and beans were good and the chips were seasoned nicely. Although my friend and I were the only two in the restaurant at the time, service was awesome. The employee who was also our cashier stopped by to check on us multiple times and grab our plates from the table when we were finished, as well as a manager. I would definitely recommend Tortas Vegas, meat eater or not! I will be returning!

Las Rocas (Tortas Tacos Tostadas Y Licuados) – Menu with Prices – 617 S 15th St #5203, McAllen

This place looks very old and even a bit abandoned from the outside. But as expected with this old places, the food was good. You will find the typical Mexican torta (meat, lettuce and onions). We got 2 meat tortas and 3 fruit juices and I paid $27, so I think the price was a little high for what we got. But still, it is always good to visit this little places as the flavor is usually better than the fancy restaurants.

Javi’s Supertortas Menu with Prices 3508 Stine Rd, Bakersfield

10 years! They had a location off of White Lane and Ashe Road back then but now they’re back after so long! It had been 10 years since I tried these tortas. I’ve never had tortas like these before. I highly recommend the Mexicana or the Western torta. Those are the ones I’ve tried but I’m sure the others are great too! The owner is very attentive and polite. I hope this time they’re here for good! Reasonably priced and great portions. Same great taste as before.

Samantha’s Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 2518 E North St, Greenville

I went here today after my partner was recommended it by her coworker as being a really good, solid authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. We got a lengua taco, a torta al pastor, and the chicken chilaquiles. The lengua taco was delicious, if a bit small, because the meat was actually crisp and charred. It’s such a good departure from the blandish boiled lengua that I’ve had at many other places. The torta had soft, crispy bread, great pork and just overall delicious. It is also substantial and made a great meal. By the time we got to the chilaquiles, I admit we were almost full from sharing the taco and torta. The chilaquiles were doused in sauce–maybe a little too much sauce for my liking–but it was still done well because you still had some crispiness in the tortilla pieces. Overall, it’s not my favorite chilaquiles, and I probably wouldn’t get it again, but it was still enjoyable. In general, I’d come here for tortas and possibly try the burritos next. I’m excited to try more dishes from here since it’s only about 2 miles from where I live.

Super Tacos Panchitos – Menu with Prices – Byron St, Corona

I’m giving a 1 star because there is no zero star. First of all let me start by saying the guy who took our order was not friendly. Treated us like we were white tourists. My torta was the saddest looking torta and no taste, I’ve ever had in my life. It was so dry. I got a mini tomato, mini avocado, and mini cheese. Ordered a pastor burrito and got an Asada burrito. Do not waste your time nor money. The torta was over 7 bucks. Over priced not good. Bread was hard and tasted old. We paid 30 bucks for 2 tortas and a burrito and 2 hard shell tacos. To top it off, I got no chips and salsas.

Tacos y tortas san bernardino – Menu with Prices – 331 9th St # 7, San Bernardino

I feel KINDA bad about rating this place two stars after coming here and NOT trying a Torta (I mean, it IS called Tortas, Las Glorias after all). Anyway, I went with a carne asada burrito instead of a torta, and wasn’t rewarded for doing so. The burrito is filled with beans, cheese, rice, meat, onion and cilantro. My impression from the first bite: did I order an all rice burrito? Second bite: Dang! This meat is SALTY! Third through tenth bite: where’s the cheese in this thing? Overall, there is way too much rice in this hefty sized burrito. There is a generous amount of meat, but it is all way too salty to enjoy. Bite after bite, I searched for the cheese, but never found it (from a flavor standpoint, I did SEE the cheese in the burrito). Couple the taste of the food with the area in which the restaurant is located (in a sketchy part of San Berdoo) and I’m saying you can get way better Mexican food in the area. I’ll still come back one day to try a Torta (cuz’ I like to be thorough), but based on my first impressions, it’ll be a while before I give that a try.

Las Meras Tortas – Menu with Prices – 6119 White Horse Rd, Greenville

Well. I have never tried a Torta. I have been hearing about several places around Greenville that warranted further action. So I visited Las Meras Tortas and was extremely impressed. Of course i looked at the rating here on Yelp and agree with what i had read.. . Service. Very friendly. Food. Crazy good. 5 star cleanliness . . My Torta was Chorizo with chicken. I ordered as is with no special instructions. I wanted to try the real deal! I was great. So fresh. The bread was great and Veggies were perfect. I so enjoyed this – I highly recommend..

La Supertorta – Menu with Prices – 721 Georgesville Rd, Columbus

Wow. I am so disappointed it took us this long to visit La Super Torta! We loved everything about this place. It was a Saturday lunch and there were only a few other families/groups there eating. Lots of large seating tables for families. The cashier was incredibly friendly. We ordered our food, got our order number, and took a seat. The wait wasn’t long at all for our food to arrive. It was about $15 for one fountain drink and two tortas, I think. We both got tortas — a mixto (beef and marinated pork) and asada (steak). I had the asada but had a bite of the marinated pork from my husband’s sammy and it was outstanding. TBH, I think I will get the mixto Torta next time, as the pork added a bit of salty goodness to the torta. Mine was super good though (I ate the entire huge torta.) Both salsas (roja and verde) had a great amount of heat and flavor. We are lovers of hot salsas, and neither was too much…just a perfect, fresh bit of flavor to a very tasty torta. The bread was soooo good. Cooked smashed panini style and crispy and delicious. Slices of cooked jalapeños on the side were delicious, too. Some of the families eating had while cooked fish that looked super good. I’m not sure if that’s a weekend special or not, but I am tempted to try it, too. And we saw a burrito- it’s enormous! Like a foot long! Come with an appetite. Try everything. I wish I had saved room for the tres leches cake because it looked amazing, too. Can’t wait to go back! It’s definitely a new favorite of ours!

Tortas La Hechizera – Menu with Prices – 617 S Belt Line Rd, Irving

I have been looking for a good place for just a simple torta de jamon but it was harder to find than I thought. This place hasn’t been open long but I’m glad I gave it a try. They had exactly what I wanted and much more. They have all different kinds of tortas and tacos but I ordered my torta which was huge btw! It could feed 2 people! It was a bit pricey but like I said, it’s basically two meals. With that and an order of fries and a coca Mexicana made a delicious lunch. I will definitely be going back.
