Out for business again. We needed to grab a bite as we were visiting a customer whoâ??s office was right across the street. Running ahead of schedule, we started to look at TripAdvisor and Google for possible food stops. This place was literally staring us in the face as we did so. Not finding any better alternative close enough we nervously ventured inside, knowing the place had to be kosher based on the neighborhood. Not thatâ??s bad. Rather, neither of us had experienced kosher food before and we were not sure what to expect. Intrigued by the strategically placed pastries right up front, we continued to scope the place out. The menu was oddly vague. Enough where we just about hit the abort button. Fortunately for us, and Williamsburg Bagel, the staff was quick to notice the look nervousness and insecurity. They came over to greet us and walk us through what were some of their most popular items on their menu. Timidly, we decided to give is a shot as the staff was confident we would like whatever we ordered. We opted for the Lox sandwich as well as the toasted avocado. Boom! Flavor party in my mouth. Both with the lox and the toasted avocado sandwiches. By taking a step outside our comfort zone here, we were handsomely rewarded. We will be back over and over again. A+ on the ambiance as well. Spiral staircase up to a very quaint dining area.

Donut Basket – Menu with Prices – 1725 Prescott Rd, Modesto

Even their sandwiches are delicious! I ordered a Turkey Club with avocado, husband ordered Ham Club with Avocado. Both came on lightly toasted croissants, with mayo, fresh tomato, fresh iceberg lettuce, fresh red onions, and plenty of perfectly ripe avocado. Mom orders a small BLT, perfect size for her with plenty of bacon. The bacon was thin and lightly crisp. Our son ordered a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. Came on a fresh bagel. Our picky eater approved . Of course we had to get donuts. All were fluffy, fresh, and not oily. They even give you the donut hole that came out of it! Sweet bonus!! this isn’t our first time here for donuts and I think it’s safe to say we now like their donuts more than a very popular place in town (“best donuts in the valley”). This place is always clean, with very helpful, friendly staff. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed

Farm Fresh Halal Market – Menu with Prices – 226 N Negley Ave, Pittsburgh

I stopped by here earlier today by myself for breakfast. Farm Fresh Deli is located in the center core at PIT and I must have walked by it a hundred or so times before today. It’s a free standing “kiosk” so there’s not much to it. You can walk up, place your order and walk down the line subway style before paying at the end. On this morning what caught my eye was the avocado and egg white panini. It consisted of avocado, egg whites, American cheese and tomatoes (I chose to forgo these) all on a toasted wheat bread for 5.99. After ordering my sandwich I watched it get made and they put on a decent amount of egg white and cheese before being stingy with the avocado. I am talking 3 tiny slices for the whole sandwich which maybe made it 1/8 of an avocado. If you are naming a sandwich after it, you probably should add a bit more. In any case, I paid and went to wait. It took a little longer than 5 minutes which seemed like quite a bit for a faster airport place but I was happy about it whenever my bread ended up being well toasted and the cheese nice and melted. Other than that the sandwich tasted decent enough although i really could have used avocado. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While my sandwich was well executed and tasty, I really wish they would have added more of the namesake ingredient.

Chani?s Kosher Take-Out – Menu with Prices – 22 Newton Ave, Worcester

A friend and I were looking for kosher food and discovered this Thursday-only delight. It is a buffet of meats, fish, a variety of chopped salads, chicken soup, kugel, everything. It is sold mostly for takeout, by the pound, at reasonable prices. We were were welcomed by the Chabad rabbi, whose synagogue we were dining in. I had meatballs and a variety of salads, all delicious. My friend had salmon and salads and was wowed. Not much on atmosphere, just a multipurpose room used for delicious kosher food one night a week. Kol hakavod!

The Grove Kosher Market – Menu with Prices – 2889 Stirling Rd, Fort Lauderdale

What a gorgeous new kosher market! Let me say this is the cleanest place I have seen in a very long time! They have a ridiculous amount of different produce and products that will keep you busy looking at them for a long time! The staff here is very nice and will assist you with anything you will need! The isles and items are very well spaced out and easy to find anything you may need! Prices are decent but what can you expect from a kosher market located in this area? The produce is very fresh and I haven’t seen anything that was overripe or expired. They have a wide array of fruits to choose from and they are nice sized and priced as well, much like everything else! Everything here is perfect and I can’t wait to go back here again! They also have a bunch of dedicated parking spots outside to choose from so you won’t have trouble finding parking!

Roast and Perk – Menu with Prices – 18836 Soledad Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita

I came across this place today for lunch while driving to Baja Fresh and decided to abort on my original plan and try something new (I’m happy to support mom and pop shops over corporations any day). I got the Greek toast with an iced tea and they were both excellent! The owner is very nice and the place has a nice ambiance to sit down and enjoy your time. I personally came here alone and decided to stay and eat by myself rather than take my food to go like I usually do. I will for sure be back! I want to try the avocado toast next. They also had waffles and some sandwiches for those looking for a heavier meal.

Deli At the Grove Menu with Prices 101 S Capitol Blvd # 103, Boise

I was told about this wonderful joint from a coworker so I decided to give it a shot. When you walk in immediately you notice the place is very small, with no dining available inside. The food here is amazing though and makes up for the space itself. All the times I have been I have been greeted by the same gal, who I presume is the owner. She is always very friendly and cheerful and is a pleasure to deal with. Since the first time I’ve been I always order the same thing, the chicken salad sandwich. THIS IS THE BEST CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH ON EARTH (or at least in Boise). The bread appears to be baked fresh as it is always moist and fluffy. The sandwich comes with green leaf, chicken salad, cheese and cashews, I always have her add cucumbers. Price with a meal, chips and drink is reasonable at about $6.50 for half a sandwich. I couldn’t imagine trying to eat a full portion as the half is plenty. This is truly a wonderful quick lunch option.

One Stop Nutrition – Menu with Prices – 1917 S Signal Butte Rd # 102, Mesa

One stop is amazing – When I walk in, they already know what protein shake I like ,and it’s ready as I walk up to pay!! The quality of their shakes are up to the highest quality on earth!! Gigantic fresh strawberries-sometimes I wake up craving their drinks I’ll be there right as they open they always greet me with a smile and they know my name the – this place is immaculate they’re always in a great mood this place is one-of-a-kind the vast expanse of supplements and protein powders will blow your mind ‘ And to top it off every 10 you bye you get a free one I don’t work out very hard due too some back issues but I do notice gains from there protein shakes Keep up the get work

Dining In Inc – Menu with Prices – 1645 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd, Charleston

It is important to have kosher options whether you live in Charleston or are just visiting. Marcie works hard to provide great kosher food whether for a pop up cafe, hosting a party, or to make your holiday easier. Holiday menus come out before each holiday so that you can order all or even just part of your holiday meal. Holiday and challah orders must be in by Tuesdays at 5pm. Pick-up is on Thursdays from 1pm – 6pm & Friday from 8am – 4pm. Traditional Jewish food made locally. Visiting from out of town? Kosher meals can be delivered to your hotel. My favorite is the cinnamon challah special. Regular challah available weekly. Challah comes in small, large, or dinner rolls. Order ahead, or stop by and hope there is a challah left!

Whispers On Havana Menu with Prices 1535 S Havana St a, Aurora

OK, so we purchased a certificate on line for this place and decide to give it a try. First thing you notice when you walk inside is it’s rustic and small. I think there were more chairs at the bar than tables in the dining area. It’s not the kind of place to take that special someone on that special occasion. We have the certificate so we stayed to take a look at the menu. Things began to look better once we saw the prices. Not bad! We decided to order lunch, how bad could it be, after all we do have the certificate. If words like homemade, fresh, decent portions, hand cut fries, and delicious are what you covet, then give this place a try. Ice cold beer on tap, lunch for two, and a Caramel Apple Blossom Ala Mode for dessert for under $20.00 with the certificate. We will be going back to sample some of that green chili and the Wisconsin Cheese curds with sliced apples. Staff is out of this world friendly. Could have easily given four stars but the place is a little rustic and very small. Add some outdoor seating and this place becomes a five.

Grounded Cafe – Menu with Prices – 300 S Adams St, Green Bay

Grounded Cafe is tucked inside the ADRC so I wasn’t aware of it until my friend and I grabbed coffee there before the farmer’s market, what a find! They serve local coffee, La Java which is my favorite coffee shop. We went to the market and then returned for breakfast, and I am so glad we did. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the beautiful aroma of the cinnamon scones, and then notice the bright open space with all kinds of seating options and a cozy fireplace. The staff is friendly and helpful and more than happy to chat about the menu and the cafe or anything else you want to talk about. The food is amazing, I had the breakfast pizza which is made exactly how you want it from the crust up, so flavorful and just right size for a satisfying breakfast. My friend had the baked oatmeal with almonds and cranberries, again made to her specifications and she said it was quite good. They also have a large number of lunch items including wraps and salads. Definitely give this place a try, you will not be disappointed and you are helping a great community cause. There are plenty of USB ports and charging spots for the techies also!

Outpost Sandwiches – Menu with Prices – 1102 A St #104, Tacoma

I was working nearby and walked over, this is located at the old post office building at the corner of A St & 12th, but the entrance is on 12th near what it looks like the loading dock. It’s a walk up counter when ordering, kind of like at a sporting event. Anyways, they have some good lunch selections to choose from but I decided to get the BLT plus A (bacon, lettuce tomato, plus avocado). It was pretty darn good! Bacon was just out of the oven as they pulled it from the baking tray, nice & crispy, good amount of avocado and of course the L and T. Bread was great, didn’t get all soggy, nicely toasted and overall a pretty mean sandwich for lunch. It was a nice day out and I ate this outside, there are some tables outside and some inside. Staff was fine, chatted for a few, exchanged some pleasantries and they got to work on making the orders. Took about 5 mins or so to whip up, pricing was fine. A good small business lunch option if you in the downtown Tacoma area. Right click, save….going into my memory bank to visit again when I have to work in downtown Tacoma next time.

Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Pediatric Specialty Center – New Haven – Menu with Prices – 1 Long Wharf Dr, New Haven

Horrible experience. My wife had an abnormal ultrasound result, and basically the doctor (a Chinese woman) said it’s a shame we couldn’t legally still abort our baby since she’s at 31 weeks. Just disgusting. No bedside manner whatsoever.
