Seriously, the best people to make your coffee. I come in at least once a week. Yesterday I ordered a couple drinks and a bagel. They had asked if I needed a drink carrier and I said, no.. Totally my fault! I walk out to my car and as I’m juggling to grab my keys, the coffee fell!! AHH, so embarrassing right? So I walk back in to reorder the vanilla latte. They said, oh another one? I said, no I dropped the other one. They quickly made another one and didn’t even charge me. Outstanding customer service, even though it was totally my fault. Thanks Ladies! Your Parents raised you right!

Café Azteca – Menu with Prices – 1409 E Commerce St, San Antonio

If I could give 6 stars based on the Mexican Vanilla Latte alone, I would. I made the mistake of stopping by on a holiday, though. Their pastry case was empty, not even a crumb, and I was informed it was because their supplier for tasty pastries was off due to Labor Day. I should have known that! And that is totally MY fault, not theirs, so I will not be docking points for that. However, I did not drive all that way (and sit waiting for a train to pass for 7 minutes) just to give up and leave. The guy there was also super nice and complimented my hair color. He seemed very friendly as he spent much of his time catching up with a friend who came in at the same time I did. While I hummed and hawed over their menu, I requested a latte, and it felt like he read my mind because as soon as my eyes fell on the Mexican Vanilla Latte, he asked if I wanted that one, and I nodded ecstatically. I cannot lie–that latte alone, by itself, made the whole trip worth it. It wasn’t sickeningly sweet or anything, but from the flavor to the temperature? It was perfect. Even the little small latte heart art made it all the more endearing. The space itself is new-ish looking and it looks like they’re still slowly putting the cafe together. There’s a gorgeous mural towards the back that is an instagrammer’s dream come true, but overall their decor gives off a “work in progress” vibe. And that’s ok! To me, their coffee speaks for itself and it’s definitely worth coming back for. My goal is to come back when the pastries are in stock, because I can’t think of anything better to pair with their cafecito than a little pan dulce. I also notice on their IG they have popups, and that’s definitely another reason to stop by. Small businesses supporting small businesses? Uhm, YES please!

Turks Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 1276 Commercial Dr, Vancouver

Cute little coffee shop on The Drive with yummy coffee and a patio perfect for people-watching. My friend and I stopped in here after brunch to grab some lattes to go. For me a vanilla almond milk latte and for my pal a regular vanilla latte. I loved my little caffeine fix. I’m not sure if it was the coffee itself, the vanilla, or the almond milk, but whatever those baristas did, I really, really enjoyed my latte. Seems like a great place to hang out and catch up with a friend or post up and get some work done. It’s quite small in here, so I can imagine that it would get full quickly, especially on a warm, sunny day. Overall, yummy coffee, friendly baristas, and cute decor from other local businesses. While there are plenty of coffee shops on The Drive, this one will definitely be one of my top ones to visit and recommend.

11th Hour Tea and Coffee Bar Menu with Prices 833 N State St, Bellingham

Wow! Like most of us, I drink plenty of coffee. It was suggested I check this place out and was super impressed. As soon as I walked up to the storefront and saw the cool sign and the outside seating I was intrigued. The whole place has a great vibe, then you walk through the door and the great tea smell hits you. I checked out the various tea “flavors”… Again, Wow! You can get lots of great tea at various places, but the selection here has a wonderful selection of teas I’ve never seen anywhere else. If you are a real tea person and haven’t been here yet, you are missing out… You gotta head down there and check out the selection. But I wasn’t here for tea, I came for the “vanilla latte better than any you have ever had”… See, vanilla latte is my jam, I love them. I was not disappointed. Stumptown coffee, which I’ve heard about but not had until now, as the coffee. But the flavor did not appear to be the ubiquitous flavor brands you typically see… Whether it was the coffee, the milk, the flavor, or the great vibe the place has… This was truly the best vanilla latte I have ever had. As a side, I was able to try one of my table mates green tea latte with matcha… I was hesitant… Largely because I thought it smelled like hay, but I was undeterred in trying something new. Again, wow!!! I have actually tasted hay, and the matcha did NOT taste like hay. It mixed in great to make it a drink worth having on occasional breaks from my first love – the vanilla latte. I also got to try a Mochi muffin. Yum! Check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

presso coffee kitchen – Menu with Prices – 13011 NE Fourth Plain Blvd Suite 106, Vancouver

I love checking out new spots especially in the Vancouver area. What really initially intrigued me was the decor and coffee art that I saw in the pictures. Nothing gets a girl like flowers and aesthetics right? I love coffee and I love myself a good cup of caffeine while indulging in my daily reads. Today was a Vanilla Rose Latte and “The Milkman” read. I went in with the sole purpose of coffee and reading so I wasn’t swayed by the food they offered. I mean, if I wasn’t too stuck up into my routine I’d probably in a heart beat order one of them avocado toasts and totally have it up my social media. Right right? My coffee took a while to make as there was quite a few orders ahead of me and only one barista/machine. My latte finally arrives and its presentation does not disappoint as it looked exactly as how I’ve seen it in posts. It was so pretty and so fitting for the beginning of spring. Fast forward to the taste, I wasn’t much of a fan. It lacked the intense flavor I expected it to have. Not really much of vanilla and a really really subtle hint of rose. It just wasn’t enough umph and barely any of that rich coffee smell that I would have loved. On top of that, my cup was kinda just luke warm and mind you that I did take my pictures fairly fast so it wasn’t like I left it sitting out. Overall, I like the atmosphere of the place, but my first impression of the vanilla rose fell short. I would love to come try them again, but I don’t know if I can justify coming back for an almost $6 12oz cup of okay coffee. However, I may just order a cold brew instead.

Texas Coffee Traders Menu with Prices 1400 E 4th St, Austin

I didn’t know that this was a must-visit spot until I randomly came across it! My boyfriend is a big coffee drinker and wanted to grab some coffee on our walk home from lunch. He found this on yelp and we headed over. It’s in a very quiet area a few blocks over from the main street. The inside is no-frills. They sell coffee beans and coffee equipment and there’s an area where the baristas are. My boyfriend ordered the vanilla iced coffee and it came out really quick. He loved the coffee! We would’ve purchased coffee beans if we had space in our carry-ons. They gave me a free latte since they were practicing latte art with a few cups. I thought this was really sweet of them! I added a little bit of vanilla syrup and it was amazing! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I know when I’m drinking a good cup. The cherry on top was the employees. They were all so sweet and funny. They all seemed like they enjoyed each other’s presence and made us feel really comfortable! Overall, I loved coming here and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quaint place to grab a quick cup of coffee. FYI, they are not open on Sundays. S/o to the eco friendly plastic ?

Drip Coffee – Menu with Prices – 729 Saluda Ave, Columbia

This was another successful find thanks to Yelp. After making a Costco run the next thing on our agenda was to find a good coffee shop and I rather support a local business than go with Starbucks. So that’s how we found Drip, it’s was such a cute little hipster coffee shop, downtown Columbia just minutes away from the breathtaking University of South Carolina. There was a bit of a line and inside was packed ( which is always a good sign). But service was still pretty fast and very pleasant. I ordered my dad a vanilla latte which he said was really good and it even came with a cool coffee art and i went with a chai latte which was amazing! This was just a fast in and out run but Drip had such an inviting atmosphere, I totally got Pacific NW coffee shop vibes ( with cool artwork and such hung throughout) and their music playlist was on point. I can see why Drop is a local gem.

Cafe Bonjour – Menu with Prices – 10094 Westminster Ave, Garden Grove

Ah, Cafe Bonjour. I remember coming here before I was even allowed to drink coffee, well if you count the time I was in Vietnam w/o my parents and I drank iced coffee every morning for my whole time there. Hehe.. Well my parents made a special trip here every other Sunday to stock up on coffee, and their pate for my mom. We usually went here after we went to Mi La Cay (the noodle house in the same strip mall). This place has been a long time staple too in our household. I remember when we moved to Albuquerque, and everytime we went to CA, my parents would stock up on as much coffee as they could. Now that they’re back in CA, it’s all good. Now that I am older and wise enough to appreciate a good roast, I too cannot live w/o them. I love their house roast, Bon Jour, the Vanilla is good, and so is the Cognac roast. They carry a wide variety of blends and flavors. Now that I live in Seattle, I have my parents send me coffee. Trust me, I have not found anything out here that is adequate enough for my Ca phe sua da, I don’t even know if they have places like this out here. Well it’s ok because my parents send it to me. Like Cecile says, you can buy them whole beans or have them grind it. Which is what we do, since my coffee grinder doesn’t do as good for our Vietnamese filters. It is sold by the pound. Prices have gone up over the years. It was 4.99 a lb back in the day, now between $6-8, worth every penny and drop!

Shepherd Artisan Coffee – Menu with Prices – 919 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

I’m Italian, I love coffee.. I’m a much better person when I have a coffee because I’m absolute shit storm to deal with otherwise and thank the heavens I stumbled upon this place. My partner and I went here one of our first nights in Miami during the afternoon at it was a fucking scorcher of a day. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and he ordered a caramel latte. After feeling pretty jet lagged the coffee was strong just how I like it and made us both feel alive again. It was by far one of the best iced lattes I have had! Nothing beats a super cute Artisan caffe over shitty Starbucks. We went to Shepherd’s several times throughout our vacation. I just wish I could order one of their vanilla lattes when I’m back home! xx

Abigail & Juliet’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3962 N Studebaker Rd #201, Long Beach

I love trying new coffee shops! This place was shown on my yelp as a new business so I made sure to get a chance to try it out soon. I walked in and the place was empty. I saw a family on the corner who I think was the owners of the place. This was also around 3pm so I figured it’s not coffee time anyway. Their menu has a lot of items but as usual I play it safe by getting iced vanilla latte. The girl helping seems to know what she was doing or at least that is what I thought. After I ordered I noticed one of them approached the register and seemed to be looking at cheat sheet. They were talking about what went inside a flat white (another order of mine). I started getting worried since they looked young also and didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. I finally received my vanilla latte and when I tasted it…. it was milk with a pinch of coffee!!!! I couldn’t taste a single vanilla in it! So I asked the girl if she can add more since she said for the 24oz they put only 2 pumps. She put two more which again didn’t make a difference! The vanilla taste was nowhere to be found!!! I don’t understand hahaha but maybe they make their own syrup? Needs a lot of work! A lot! Then my flat white came…… it was milk with some dark color hahaha! All I tasted was milk. She apparently put a pump of cane sugar that I asked for but nothing. I got two milk drinks. That was all. It’s not a coffee shop. It’s a milk shop. Please work on your coffee or your baristas to make better coffee? Whichever. Something has to happen. Only reason they got 2 stars was because of the little cute girl Abigail (maybe the owners daughter?) that said hi to me and the customer service was good! They were friendly! I wish you good luck but I doubt I would be back.

Foster Street Coffee – Menu with Prices – 530 Foster St #2, Durham

I visited Foster Street Coffee a couple of times, during lunch time. When you walk in, the coffee shop is open and welcoming. The coffee bar is a few steps away from the door and each time, a smiling barista was waiting to take my order. The coffee shop is bigger than what it looks like from the street. Inside are cozy tables up front of the large window overlooking the street and then a few oversized armchairs that looked very soft (haven’t tested them out yet!) A little further back were some longer tables that looked like they were good for working on the laptop and sipping on your coffee. There was also a conference room with a large table and a TV for more organized meetings. I was impressed because this coffee shop could be a very convenient place to meet at if your organization is located in Downtown Durham. The menu board is simple, clean and elegant. They carry everything you’d expect from a coffee shop. I decided to try a coffee frappe, which is ice cream, coffee and vanilla. It wasn’t overly sweet at all. The coffee flavor came through strong, so it’s not quite like a milkshake. Maybe not good for a kid. It was tasty and I finished it all easily. I think I’ll experiment with the syrup flavors in the future. For my second visit, I tried a vanilla chai latte. I must admit that Starbucks is my standard for a vanilla chai latte. I find they have the best taste to me. I’ve tried a lot vanilla chais in other coffee shops and they never quite compare to Starbucks. But Foster Street surprised me. Their vanilla chai was light but sweet, creamy, slightly spicy and the froth on top was perfect. There was a lot of it. I was impressed with the first sip. It’s just as good as Starbucks chai, for sure. I will definitely make that drink a staple for next time I visit Foster. Each time, the barista brought the drink out directly to me and I thought that was so sweet. I’m happy to have a great local coffee shop in the area.

Horizon Line Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1417 Walnut St B, Des Moines

I don’t take five stars lightly, but Horizon Line is the gold standard of coffee. My husband and I love trying new places, but this is one we make a point to go back to, or even drive to for the day. This place makes great coffee (we’ve loved everything we’ve tried) and makes you feel good. First of all, the no plastic concept – amazing idea and well executed. Please share your knowledge with my favorite Iowa City shops! There may have been initial hiccups, but we never felt them! Second, the price. I’ve found that my iced vanilla latte is under average price, which is especially amazing given the lack of plastic. I expected a sharp increase in price, but saw very little change, maybe a quarter or two. Finally, the actual product. Here, I usually treat myself to an iced vanilla latte and I’ve truly never seen it made like they do here. They use a martini shaker to mix and I think also to help make it colder before it’s poured into a glass container. All iced latte, no ice. Seriously, my favorite latte. Thanks Horizon Line, for your coffee, your sweet employees, and your conscious effort to save the planet. Can’t wait to come back!

Meg’s Daily Grind RVC – Menu with Prices – 3301 N Mulford Rd, Rockford

Nice staff and they’re so awesome. The only thing I didn’t like was that they close too early during my summer classes, they have absolutely fresh coffee. I tried a salted caramel mocha and it tasted super delicious. Another time I tried a a vanilla latte but I didn’t really like it it felt too bitter. If you’re a regular coffee drinker then this place for you, but if you’re looking for the fancy type of coffee thier price are so high for the premium quality coffee (maciato, salted mocha, latte). They also have stubs card if you want to be a lot long term customer which makes you collect points everytime you go there and do a purchase. Their backed stuff is really good special the tiny brownies and the muffins. Overall it’s a nice place to stop by and get something to eat or drink (like Tim Hortons in Canada ).
