I love this place. Seriously. I came in for like the 30th time on Sunday, and it was stellar as always! Way better than the Panera across the street and Kneaders too. The girl who rang me up at the register was super nice, I think she said her name was Cheyenne. Later I saw her sweeping too! Don’t work her so hard! The guy who brought me my food was dressed up in a button-up shirt, not like everyone else. So, I guess he was a manager? I like to see management take an active role in their establishment. It really shows. The food is always super fresh, just come early so they don’t run out of bread. Get the Chicken Basil Chili or the Potato Cream Cheese soup, you won’t regret it. Breakfast is awesome too. Every sandwich on the menu is good. Their iced tea is great, coffee is great too. The only negative thing I can say is that I usually end up spending too much when I come in!

Quan’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 11148 142 St NW, Edmonton

Have come to this place a few times before and enjoyed it but they seem to frequently be out of things. Like the curry chicken noodle stew I tried to order today for the third consecutive time. Not available. Is it still on the menu? “Yes.” But not today? “Not today, we run out. Order something else” She’s clearly annoyed with my continued questions. It’s just after noon and in the early part of their lunch rush which is also their busiest time of day. I doubt they ran out. Reluctantly I order some pho which is not really what I want. It arrives a couple minutes later with no plate of sprouts, lime, or basil; a standard part of serving any bowl of pho. I ask for them and a couple minutes later it arrives, minus the basil. The purple stemmed Thai basil is a standard part of serving pho in my experience and I really like it. I usually use all of it in my pho. Apparently this too has run out. On a Monday. During the lunch rush. Right. I try a couple spoonfuls and decide, no, without basil I don’t want it and push it to the corner of my table, making it obvious I don’t want to eat it. Over the next ten minutes the two staff walk by it numerous times but fail to pick it up. *Update* The truth will out. I wrote the first part of this review almost 18 months ago but never posted it. Driving in this part of town again today I remembered this place and that there was some reason I wasn’t going to ever come back. Meh…. why not give it another chance. I’m hungry for some pho. Sadly, nothing has changed. Ordered some pho, it arrived 10 minutes later ( usually within five minutes at any other restaurant). No bean sprouts came with it but were provided when I asked. However, no basil, no lemon or lime, no chili pepper. When I asked about basil they said there wasn’t any. When I finally asked the direct question ” Do you ever serve your pho with basil? The answer: No. Never. Disappointed at this place yet again. At least they are consistent. If Vietnam has a signature national dish it is Pho and most Vietnamese restaurants are rightly proud of their version. The sum total of including the missing basil, a chili pepper, and lemon wedge to their service of pho cannot be more than 25-35 cents per serving. How this place can even call itself a Vietnamese restaurant is beyond me. Never again (again).

Paul’s Italian Deli & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 812 E Vine St, Kissimmee

You wont find better .. they could double income by staying open till 7 for after work people .. great family run AUTHENTIC real Italians.. not like the frauds hanging our flag n say authentic NY this and that.. this is a real Italian family and the best subs u can find period.. they should stay open later though and rack in the cash but they do so well they dont have to .. but would be nice for us craving their food and for them it be highly profitable.. they have a cult following and they will go in for dinner .. nicest guys in the world and their mom is a angel .. like a real Italian place they treat u like family and know ALL regulars names and WHAT THEY EAT .. it’s actually mind boggling and shows alot about their upbringing and proves the fact that they are REAL ITALIANS.. nobody but their Italian family works there.. now that’s authentic .. just saying dont see Africans owning Chinese places but yet everybody wants to bite Italians culture and profit off it with garbage.. so avoid the frauds n go to the BEST AUTHENTIC sandwich deli in Florida!!! Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 311 S Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena

This place need to hire a new manager. I get here at 930(online shows closes at 11pm) I see a line of 5 people waiting for orders. I stand waiting at register for at least 15 mins. Now while im waiting to just get my order taken. I see who I presume is the manager on duty (guy in blue shirt) he is walking back and forth mumbling to himself. Knocking down paper and trays. Complaining that its too busy and saying (dont these people know we close at 10) Does this guys really not want business. Or maybe he just didnt want to work or he doesn’t like his job. I got a sense that the rest of the staff seemed afraid that this manager was going to snap at any second. Now I’m still waiting and this manager calls my name. He says all I have is this(points finger at what’s left in chicken.) Ask if I want that or want what I ordered? Um of course I want what I ordered. This is now another 20 mins after I ordered. He is saying it’s going to be another 20 mins , since they have to make it. I said I’ll wait. He then tells me to go wait outside, because the lobby is closed. Why leave when other customers are still sitting and eating. By the way there are 2 other customers after me. And he wants us all to leave because the lobby is closed. No I dont thinks so. This guys is being such a tool. He is still complaining that all day they had 5 customers and now the customers wont stop coming in. Doesn’t he know that it’s a good thing to be busy and make money. Still the other staff looks unsure on what to do . Not wanting this manager to go crazy. This guys still wont shut up, this whole time complaining and in a bad mood. Still waiting Still waiting Still waiting It’s now 50 mins after is showed up and my orders done , the manager dissapeared for about 15-20mins. He Comes out when I’m leaving and looks around still complaining. The other worker is at least apologetic about wait. By the the signs still says open and there still taking drive thru orders. And the lady after me is still waiting too. This is a long review because I had time to write this since im waited 50 mins because this manager doesn’t know how to manage. Tip to owner of store. Get rid of this guy. He makes customers not want to come back. I will drive the other way next time just to avoid his attitude and wait

The Gym Pub – Menu with Prices – 782 St Clair Ave W, Toronto

We were walking along St. Clair and on the hunt for a patio when we spotted The Gym. I didn’t even have to look at the menu to know I wanted to stop in. It’s called The Gym! I can honestly say I went to The Gym on Friday evening! Unfortunately, the good times ended there. Well, okay, that’s not exactly fair. The service was friendly and the beer was cold. But the food… Yikes. I was in the mood for something unhealthy and cheesy, so I figured I’d get a foolproof item: Chili Cheese Fries (“Gym fries, layered nacho style with chili & melted cheese topped with a dollop of sour cream”). The dish arrived a short time later and I was immediately concerned. Hovering around the edges were large swaths of completely unmelted cheese, which is obviously a complete no-no with a dish of this sort. It only got worse from there, though. The plate of food arrived to the table long after it had been prepared, so it wasn’t hot. Heck, it was barely warm. I’m not one to complain or send food back, but good golly was I ever tempted to in this case. The chili was dry and flavorless, but again, it would’ve been fine if it had been hot. The cheese that was under the chili was okay, I guess, but there was absolutely no meltiness to be had. The whole thing was one big clump, basically. It’s too bad, really, because the fries tasted like they had some potential. And that “dollop of sour cream”? Non existent. Our waiter actually noticed this a few minutes after I started eating and asked if I wanted some sour cream brought out. Too little too late, my man. I honestly don’t understand how a joint sends out a dish this terrible. It just shows an absolutely disdain for the customer and frankly it makes me genuinely upset. I’m coming to your establishment to spend my hard-earned money and *this* is how you treat me? Ridiculous. Needless to say, I’ll never return.

Lychee Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 23450 N 19th Ave, Phoenix

This review is based off of my main dish. I ordered the spicy tuna roll. Which is difficult to mess up. Its spicy so theres a kick present. But its ever so slight. I had to amp it by adding wasabi to each bite. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken. Which on the menu has an indicator letting you know its spicy. It wasnt. It tasting literally like maple syrup. There was no spice present. There wasnt even a smokey flavor. It was just sweet. I couldnt eat another bite without an adjustment made. So i asked for a side of chili oil. Even their chili oil had literally no spice to it. And i used the entire portion of chili oil they provided me with. Probably because its very old or just poorly made. It didnt even make my chicken any better. I picked at the veggies at the plate, requested my check and left. The service was prompt, courteous and friendly. But I guess I feel that I dont go to a resturant for service necessarily but instead i go for the food. But thats just me. I dont believe I will be going back unless its for their Thai Iced Tea. Which I hate to say it was the only tasty thing I ordered. Disappointing considering its a new spot. But Im hoping they make adjustments to their menu otherwise they may not last. Especially since Panda Express is just up the street with better flavors.

PureBread Deli – Menu with Prices – 4801 Limestone Rd, Wilmington

Love this place for a quick , fresh lunch that wont have you ready for a nap. Yummy ingredients. The ability to create your own sandwich which for a foodie like me is a BIG deal. Mix and match different sandwiches to make something that is truly your own. My go to is lettuce, cheese, bacon, mayo and avocado on focaccia bread. I have just started trying their salad menu starting with the spinach salad and am only disappointed it took me so long to try one (I was just so hung up on the diy sandwich thing). They also do a good breakfast sandwich / wrap. Even their coffee and baked good are awesome (especially the pound cake muffin aka cake for breakfast!). Very well rounded establishment plus cute puppies on the wall !

Hookah City Lounge – Menu with Prices – 612 Watervliet Ave, Dayton

Literally I have been to other Hooka places at least 10 or more, and by far this is the best one ever, the quality, atmosphere, the shisha is excellent great smoke and flavor, I wouldn’t even bother with any others places, the by one Wright State is a crap hole it’s sad they don’t know true greatness so if you are looking for some badass shisha, also Turkish coffee then come here you wont regret it. My friends have been smoking for 3 hours and still hasn’t burnt and that so shows the quality and care they have here.

Bocata Latin Grill – Menu with Prices – 4725 Walmsley Blvd, Richmond

This is our favorite restaurant in the Richmond area. It has a 5 star review for a good reason. The service and food are excellent! Dont let the location in a shopping center fool you, the food is delicious and always fresh. My husband loves the cachapa which is like a creamed corn pancake, which we prefer with the shredded beef. I love the sancocho which is the soup/stew but its only served on weekends, so if you come during the week, it wont be there. Their arepas (sandwiches) are really yummy and probably the most popular item on the menu. We also love their plantains and usually get two orders for us to share. Their arepitas are also good with the cheese and crema that comes with it. They are mild in flavor but the texture is amazing and makes them always a must for ordering when we go. The owner is very kind and helpful in recommending items. And he is ALWAYS there! Every time we have come, he has been there. Any good establishment has a present owner. And that is one of the biggest differences that sets apart a great restaurant from a not so good one. We have tried almost everything on the menu and the only things l dont care too much for are some of the fried appetizers but if you order any of the entrees, you’ll be set for a yummy meal! Definitely give this place a try. It has a humble environment, but the reviews are for the excellent food and service, which lets face it, are much more important than the location.

Iceberg Rolls – Menu with Prices – 5946 W 16th Ave, Hialeah

Halal Homestyle Chili & Bourbon Chicken – Menu with Prices – 131 N Ludlow St, Dayton

This places had two main dishes, Bourbon Chicken and Chili. First there are other items on the menu such as Hamburgers, but the chicken and chili are what they are known for. The place is in the basement and looks like an abandoned dance hall. Very low ambience. They have 3 types of chicken, bourbon and grilled are the two I remember. The bourbon is like a teriyaki, you get to order with one or two sides that include red bean, spicy rice, cajun rice as well as others. If you get 2 sides, you get a free soda. 2 items and chicken run around $7. You get a complete take away container that is packed with food. Very filling. The chicken was pretty good but the fries was too salty. I did not order the chili but I imagine you would get a lot two. Your order chili like you do at skyline chili (another local chili place chain). You can get chili and spagetti with onions and cheese. (4 way) for $6 for a large. They also have coney dogs as well. I would come back to this place for value and bangs for the bucks.

El Rey Del Pollo #2 Menu with Prices 1720 Bridge Blvd SW Suite 2, Albuquerque

I LOVE this hole-in-the-wall Sinaloan style chicken place. The food is excellent and the prices can’t be beat! My go-to is the $5 potato, a buttery baked potato absolutely overflowing with the flavor of their grilled chicken and cream. Limited menu; chicken is what they do, and they do it well. No fountain drinks.

Lucky Greek – Menu with Prices – 123 N McKinley St, Corona

I went for the first time today after driving past it alot. The food is a little less than as to be expected in this type of burger/mexican / pastrami/ sandwich place. I ordered 3 chicken tacos, which werent great or terrible. They were over priced at 3.25 each. They had chicken, rajas, onion, and tomato with a spicy green salsa. The salsa was the best part of the soggy tacos. The chicken seemed boiled or something. I also got the pastrami sandwich meal, the pastrami sanwich was as expected, I like that is was light on the bread, but it was pretty soggy. The fries that came with it were exactly what youd expect, but there were only about 1/4 the amount of fries you get at any other similar establishment. The pastrami meal wasnt worth the 10.50 they charged for it, especially since you only get a small fries and medium drink. My order with 3 chicken tacos and a pastrami meal totaled out to 22$ and change. Probably wont be back.
