One of the little Jewels that i was pointed to when looking for a new bakery (since Richards bakery is now pizza RIP) This place is a dream come true if your looking for SOFT, DELICIOUS, AND FRESH Baked goods! They do Splendid Custom Orders and the craftsmanship is TRULY TOPNOTCH!! Best of all is there attitudes, these women work hard and still greet everyone with a warm friendly smile, and have a way about them that really leaves you feeling you left your occasion in good capable hands. And one you’ve treated yourself to one of the many treats they have available you’ll wish you’d found this place sooner!! Try them out! You won’t be disappointed!! And spread the word as well, I wouldn’t dare to dream of losing such a amazing place. Don’t need another Bakery gone. Pictured is my mom’s banana flavoured birthday cake (yes banana flavoured it was amazing almost like banana bread but cake with banana flavoured icing) i requested it cause my mom really loved bananas, and she loved it (sooo much she thought it was a shame to cut it lol) but omgggg it was sooo good!!! But seriously these people are great!! Totally give them a try! 100% worth it for a fresh, custom made birthday cake!!

I ordered a unicorn cake for my daughters 1st birthday. I can honestly say I have never saw a more stunning cake, my jaw dropped when I saw it I was completely blown away! Alex was a dream to work with, listened to every wee detail I wanted and the outcome surpassed all my expectations! She really is a truly talented person and I will be forever grateful for giving my daughter a dream cake for her 1st birthday that will be a very special memory. Thankyou so, so much Alex ??

Walmart Bakery – Menu with Prices – 10824 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City

This bakery ruined my baby girls first birthday! They donâ??t even deserve the one star but you have to choose at least one in order to write a review. First of all they got the size wrong. I ordered a 1/2 sheet he comes out with a 1/4 of a sheetð??³ it was on the order form big as day 1/2 sheet marble. Then when I looked at it I was like what is this. It was horrible! It looked like my four year old had wrote Happy 1st Birthday on it. Walmart needs to stop advertising custom cakes if they donâ??t have a licensed professional baker. The manager didnâ??t even have the decency to come out and listen to my complaint. He just said I could have it for free. I didnâ??t want a free cake I wanted a pretty Minnie Mouse cake for my little ones birthday. The cake was so sloppy and unprofessional I trashed it as soon as I walked out the store. I canceled her first Birthday party at the last minute and rescheduled it for the following week so that she can have a perfect cake on her special day. So if you can help it DO NOT go to that Walmart bakery. Iâ??m not saying all of them are trashy but the one at Village West is.

King Cookie Ocala – Menu with Prices – 3313 NE Jacksonville Rd, Ocala

My daughter requested a my little pony cookie cake for her 4th birthday party. So I decided to use king cookie after see some friend use this place on Facebook and man was I impressed with the result ! I have googled some cookie cake designs and realized how hard it is to do a pony in icing and man did he hit it out of the park with her cake ! Not only did the cake look awesome I received soo many compliments on how delicious it was and after the party only had a small piece left . It was gone ! We bought a large rectangle cookie cake that was half snickerdoodle and half chocolate chip . I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a custom cookie cake for their event ! Thank you king cookie for making my daughters 4th birthday so great ! We will be back for sure !!!

Sweet Angel Cakes – Menu with Prices – Open By Appointment Only, 6331 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga

Toni is the sweetest person alive. She is not only personable, charismatic, but can make a mean cake. Her bakery has top notch cakes with the most amazing frosting my mother in law and i have ever had and I’m not even a cake person. I had spoken to Toni via emails a few time regarding a tasting for wedding cakes, and she was very prompt in replying, and you can hear how much she loves her job in her emails. She’s the same in person. We chose her for my wedding not only bc we loved her cake, but we adored working with her! For the tasting, we were able to try the yellow cake, chocolate cake, white cake, and then some fruit fillings (raspberry and apricot), buttercream and almond buttercream. Top Notch. We loved everything. Toni was also nice enough to make my fiancé a to go plate since he couldn’t be there. I honestly can’t recommend sweet angels cake enough. Prices are reasonable, cakes are amazing, and service is amazing. an’t wait to have my dream wedding cakes in April April 27th 2019: Thanks Toni for making all of my dreams come true! The cakes were Beautiful and also oh so delicious.

Takes the Cake – Menu with Prices – 1194 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena

4.5 stars So…I finally ordered a cake from this 35 years in business, Pasadena, CA bakery…I’ve been looking for an excuse for over 6 months to partake of a cake from this bakery again. Takes the Cake specializes in custom cakes only. They do not have a bakery case for grab and go items. I ordered for a birthday/anniversary get together and it was the perfect excuse to order a 1/4 sheet cake to feed 20-25 people. They kindly let me sample some fillings with white cake, but I did not know they had lemon cake and would have loved to try that as I love lemon. I ordered the white cake with strawberry mousse on half and raspberry mousse and lemon curd on the other half. $60 for a 1/4 sheet. The cake was beautiful, they do a great job of making buttercream look like fondant. Everyone who tasted the cake seemed to like it, some said it was the best cake they have ever tried. I really liked the cake but to be honest it was not AS enjoyable as the first time I tried it but still a very good cake, especially when you want something nicer than a standard grocery store cake. The slice from the round cake I initially tried at a party several months ago seemed more pleasant to eat than a square slice from the 1/4 sheet. The layers of the edge slices on the 1/4 sheet cake also did not seem to stay together as well. They filled the cake a day before my order which surprised me, I know because I was going to change up the filling to add a thin layer of raspberry filling and when I called in they said the cake was already filled, regardless, it still tasted fresh for the most part. I ordered a separate $5 mini cake with the same filling to share with someone who was not able to make it to the party…she loved it! The mini was enough for 4 small servings, a perfect way to do a pre taste. All in all, not a full 5 star review because I was a little disappointed when I found out they use a flour cake mix for some of their cakes versus making it completely from scratch. I was also disappointed that the edge slices of my sheet cake seemed too delicate and the cake was starting to fall apart, almost on the verge of breaking into large chunks, and the layers did not stay together as well on the outer slices. If I were to order again, I would order a round cake versus a sheet cake, the ratio of frosting to cake was better on the round and more consistently even. With all this said, the cake was still very enjoyable but not absolutely perfect.

Forgot to get a birthday cake for my co-workers! I called and they said yes they have cakes for immediate pick up. Their cakes are not Walmart/Publix prices. So if your looking for cheap, go somewhere cheap. They do not offer standard cake flavors (vanilla/chocolate). If you are looking for standard cake go somewhere else. If you are looking for amazing quality, taste and ingredients then come here. I got last minute a multi-layer velvet cake and cheesecake. They charged just a few dollars to write on the cake. For the cheesecake, it was amazing, not too sweet and the included strawberry sauce on the side (per my request). The cakes were sooo heavy! I definitely good amazing amount of cake. The red velvet also tasted amazing!

Chef Flemming’s Bake Shop – Menu with Prices – 7 S Water St # B, Henderson

Amazing custom cakes and customer service. We started by stumbling across this local bakery for a morning cinnamon roll and sticky bun (theBest!). We ended up ordering our Baby shower custom cakes and cupcakes that were the beautiful centerpiece of our baby shower. We cake tested with Chef Flemming and decided upon a two layer (lemon cake/lemon curd on top and strawberry shortcake/vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream for bottom layer),and marble cupcakes with Belgian chocolate. Val the lead cake decorator made the cake look exactly like I wanted on top, a pink fox face and she came up with the birch woodland theme bottom to coincide with our theme. It turned out beyond our expectations for Looks and taste! All of our guests ate a piece of each flavor and the cake went fast. So glad I ordered a bit larger to have a few left over slices. We will definitely use Flemming’s for our custom orders. Shop local!! The other Bigger commercial bakery across town was going to charge me what I paid for all of this for just a small 8″ round single layer cake…..I’m so happy I found Flemming’s before I decided to order with them. The quality and beauty and personal service far exceeded what the other place would have delivered. Thanks Chef Flemming and Val!!! And everyone. You made our baby girl’s shower so special

Sugar and Lace Bakery made an amazing cake for my daughterâ??s graduation from Midwestern University. My daughterâ??s degree is Doctor of Pharmacy. Vanessa baked a delicious chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. It was decorated with a graduation cap, diploma, a prescription bottle with some pills spilled out, a bandaid, and other things about pharmacy. Everything was edible. The cake tasted so fresh. My daughter loved her cake and all of the guests at the party thought the cake was spectacular. I would highly recommend Sugar and Lace Bakery. Vanessa is very talented and a very sweet person. New York Bakery Menu with Prices 10720 E Iliff Ave, Aurora

New York Bakery! Once again you SHINE Thru.. This time around with your GREEN TEA CAKE! My Oh My! It was indeed delicious, SUPER MOIST and the Icing Cream indeed MELT in my mouth! In between the two layers of the Green Tea Cake, New York Bakery, put slices of Peaches with the Buttercream Icing. My Oh My, thankfully, the Green Tea Cake is NOT as sweet, just I like it from my kind of Cakes… The Green Tea Cake got ALOT OF THUMBS UP especially from the Birthday Girl herself and all my friends who had it on Saturday evening, November 8th 2014. PHEW! THANK GOD For That! This smallest cake order of Green Tea was $28. I don’t mind returning to you, New York Bakery. Definitely RECOMMENDING you to many more friends I have. See you soon! Safeway Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1745 Eastlake Pkwy, Chula Vista

Don’t get one of those boring cakes they sell at Vons or Safeway. It takes a long time, and they might not even get it right. Funny story, a couple months ago and with poor planning up in the Bay, I went to a Safeway and asked for a spaceship themed cake to be made at the last minute. Two days later when I went to pick it up, it really resembled something vulgar (picture in other review somewhere). Anyway, I was lamenting to my coworker last year about how hard it was to find a shop that dealt with custom cakes as I wanted to find a good one for the alpha female’s baby shower. I was considering Paris Baguette or Nutmeg but they had a limited variety and required lots of preparation time in advance. Thankfully, she referred me to Risa who was so friendly and very easy to communicate with. I told Risa we were Disney brats and wanted the bay to have a Winnie the Pooh theme. A couple days later, I went to pick up the cake and was simply taken aback with the details and how gorgeous the cake looked! Maybe it’s just because growing up, all my parents got for me every year for my birthday cake was a fruitcake…. But this was hands down the best cake I ever saw! My wife didn’t even want to cut the cake, it looked simply fantastic! But in the end, we gave in to the party and cut it and it was the most delicious cake. Regretfully, I can’t remember what the flavor was but I think it was peanut butter something. So this time, for her birthday I reached out to Risa again for another custom birthday cake request with salted caramel. She doesn’t fail to impress us again, it looks and tastes amazing! Can’t wait to plan out our next themes!

Cadeaux Bakery – Menu with Prices – 172 Powell St, Vancouver

I?m in Cadeaux every weekend before kickboxing class, getting my after-class treat (almost always a croissant). Simply put, absolutely everything in the case is both delicious and incredibly beautiful. They have the best croissants around and they manage to translate that excellence to their specialty croissants (which are pure decadence) and that is no small feat. Their scones and brownies are creative genius!! But today I enjoyed one of their custom cakes for the first time for my birthday. The lemon meringue is unbelievably gorgeous and irresistibly delicious. Best birthday cake of my life – and I?ve had more than I?d like to admit! Just everything about this place is a winner: exceptional staff, amazing variety of treats, beautiful creations and unparalleled taste. Totally worth a visit!

Cakes & Pastries By George – Menu with Prices – 3674 Muddy Creek Rd, Cincinnati

I, as other family members, have been going to Cakes & Pastries by George for a variety of cakes and greek pastries over the years. Even though we live an hour away it is so worth it. I even travelled to his shop one winter with 4 inches of snow on the highway. Long trip but enjoyed cupcakes on the way home. Never once has any item from George not been beyond delicious. From regular cakes to birthday cakes and cupcakes and the greek pastries. The cakes are moist and fluffy. The filling and icing are fresh and never to sweet. The cupcakes are just as wonderful as the cakes. Though I wish I had a bigger mouth and stomach. Even though Georges items are beyond wonderful I am actually writing this review about the cake that we got for my sisters birthday. It was a white cake with raspberry filling. It was amazing. Beyond amazing. The cake was moist and light, the raspberry filling was just sweet enough to be a perfect blend with the white icing, cake and white chocolate shavings. Each part on its own was salivating awesome and together was a dream. The only issue that I could say was there were to many people sharing cake because I really really wanted more. If your looking for cakes and pastries I highly recommend you try Cake and Pastries by George. Your stomach will thank you.
