I have been to many a waffle houses. Stupid drunk and stone cold sober, so I know what to expect when going to ANY waffle house. Got there about 0550 and being it was early on a Sunday morning, there were only one other party that walked in before me. There was another party of 2 already eating their food. Looked for the “cleanest” table and sat down. The staff looked entirely busy cleaning. One person was scraping down the grill, another man doing everything but take our order and a third lady sweeping up the grill area. She looked at us and said “we’ll be right with you.” We had already passed by the dirtiest of tables (pictured) and wondered how long was that going to sit there. A fourth guy came out from the back and started sweeping the front area. In the meantime, the lady who was sweeping had a 5 gallon bucket of soap water and threw it down on the floor in the back. Guess she won’t be taking our order. The guy sweeping the front, dumped the dustpan and busied himself with more cleaning, but still DID NOT WIPE DOWN THAT NASTY TABLE! After another 5 minutes of watching the field day antics, we decided we had seen enough and left. Maybe they were cleaning for a surprise health inspection? Who knows. Unfortunately this rating is only based on the field day shenanigans during meal hours. I am sure the food is as good as I remember but I will never know. I don’t need to go back to update this review. Perhaps I will go back to see if they cleaned that table off so other patrons can review the food. “You don’t GO to waffle house, you END UP at waffle house!”

Kim’s Chicken and Waffles – Menu with Prices – 1205 Shreveport Barksdale Hwy, Shreveport

Wellll….let’s start with the facility. Nice enough….clean. As a matter of fact, the lady was cleaning the tables while I was sitting there waiting on my order. I saw her across the room and looked at the table I was sitting at, and saw crumbs. I thought, this table needs cleaning, but I’m getting my order to go. Surely she won’t clean it while I’m sitting here. I thought that because she was using a large squirt bottle to spray cleaner on the tables before she wiped them down. I was wrong. She came right over there…squirt, squirt, squirt…and some of the blue solution got on my bare skin. Not much to make a fuss, but still. Anyway, that same young lady had taken my order of 3 chicken tenders and a waffle, cost $9.76. I chose the Honey Gold sauce because she said it would be spicy. No spice was tasted, at all. Come on now, this is Louisiana. We know spice. The chicken was tender and the sauce was only on the top of the chicken. It was bare on the bottom. The waffle was large and looked deep fried. It had more of a crunch than the chicken. The taste was okay, and worth the try and the 15 minute wait, but I probably won’t go there again. I wish them all the success.

Was so happy to hear that Waffle House was finally open, went for the first time tonight. ANGEL OUR SERVER WAS AMAZING!! LIFE OF THE PARTY!! Had a late night dinner and got a show too! Definitely give this place a go, very clean, food was out within 10 minutes! All of the employees were very nice, enjoyed the music from the juke box and gave everyone in the restaurant a good laugh! This Waffle House is the best thing that couldâ??ve happened! All of those employees DESERVE A RAISE

Ok let me start by saying, horrible horrible i was there with a few kids and adults just to celebrate a birthday not as a party setting, just to go and check it out the arcade part of it has few good games that is if your willing to spend 4 tokens as all good games are 4 and so so games 2 tokens,(ill stick to chuckee cheese) but you do get more tickets on a 4 token game if your willing to have them waste away that quick. But my BIGGEST problem is the restaurant part of that Taters Half baked, when i tell you the bar girl, and i believe owners daughter or wife are very rude, nasty and have no customer relation training, this is a disgrace how they talk to customers.we had a problem with the bill in which we were a group of 4 people and they had the nerve to charge a 18% gratuity just because we knew the people on the table next to us, umm excuse me u mean to tell me if i know the entire group of people at each table we have to pay 18% , dont be ridiculous. She argued and was nasty and when she first approached us about our concern her immediate actions was “what is it now” like excuse me who are you and why the hell your coming with that attitude toward a customer. That was the first us talking to her. The owner was walking around doing nothing and didnt bother to come check out the situation for someone who just openned a business few months ago and should be concern with customers. Another concern is the food is extremely greasy, i wish i taken a picture, a order of loaded fries came as if it was dipped in gallon of oil and left that way and came to table with at least not kidding half of cup of oil on bottom. I had also stated how bad the service was that rude woman bypassed all i said and did not care. Do not eat there unless you love stuff like that. I dont know what she was thinking treating customers that way. The pizza is really good i must say, but that we got from the stand thats actually up front in the arcade area, this business is horrible.

Katy’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 5417 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach

This bakery made a cake for my son’s 6th birthday. It was a last minute save since the Baker I had canceled a week before. The top layer was beyond dry but the bottom layer wasn’t so I swept it under the rug. They did inform me over the phone that they would keep a $25 deposit for not returning a cake stand that held the two layers. The party was on Sunday and on Tuesday I returned the stand. Upon giving it back the lady at the front told me that she would have to deduct $5 for a cleaning fee. I told her that one, I tried cleaning it as best I could but couldn’t get out what was stuck inside the stilt part (it had cake) since they push it into the bottom layer. Second you make your customers drive back to rerun it for their deposit and I was NEVER informed of a “cleaning fee”. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Waffle House – Menu with Prices – 3907 Arkwright Rd, Macon

This is one of the best Waffle House locations that I’ve ever visited! Everyone was friendly and accommodating if not just a little slow on the service and the refills initially. In addition, one of our two orders was just a little off. However, the restaurant was wonderfully clean and the cook came by personally to ensure that our order was correct. Our waitress also definitely picked up the speed of service to the point where at the end of the meal, we were offered several refills – even as we were obviously done and just sitting, finishing our conversation This is definitely something that I’ve never experienced at a Waffle House before! The bottom line is that this is a Waffle House and often you’re not going to get the same service that you would at a 5 Star Restaurant that costs 5 times as much, requires advance reservations and a dress code. With that said, this is one of the better Waffle House locations that I’ve been to and I will definitely be back!

Balkh Bakery & Deli – Menu with Prices – 32730 Alvarado Blvd, Fremont

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I called in an order of bolani and when I got there more than 20 minutes later it wasn’t ready. The RUDE lady behind the counter was incredulous that I was there to pick it up already when according to her I “just called 5 minutes ago”. I initially didn’t even mind that it wasn’t ready yet until she kept insisting that I just called 5 minutes earlier (I even showed her my phone to show I called 20+ minutes earlier), plus the fact that it hadn’t even been started yet. How do I know? She basically told the cook to start making it and then shut the kitchen door part way so that I couldn’t see that happening. There was 1 party dining already with a half-eaten bolani on their table and as I was talking to this lady, another piping one came out. I thought it was mine but nope, went to their table. My guess is the one that I ordered went to that party instead. I’ve even tried to go there two previous times, but they said their cook wasn’t there to make it. Too bad. Good bolani (haven’t tried anything else), but rude employees, and poorly-runned.

Marble Slab Creamery – Menu with Prices – 2370 North Expressway #1186, Brownsville

Horrible customer service. The food here is delicious, no doubt about it, but this specific employee (Kathy) makes the most delicious waffle ice cream cone taste sour. Not because of the actual ice cream but because of her nasty attitude. This is an old lady who I?ve seen on Saturday?s. Her name is Kathy. People who come to get a snack here are most likely tired and looking to eat something sweet to continue their shopping or hit the road home… we are not looking for someone to ruin our experience at the mall. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU SEE THIS OLD LADY!!!

If I could give this place a negative star i would. This food was downright nasty and the chicken UNDERCOOKED! I dont normally post negative reveiws, but this place is nasty and I feel i should warn others about it before someone ELSE gets sick.

Haifa Falafel Menu with Prices 4585 Washtenaw Ave #2, Ann Arbor

I usually have a great time there and the food is Phenomenal. Yesterday was different I call they didn’t answer the phone. I call two more times finally someone answer. That’s ok they get busy… then I get there trying to pay for my food they were having technical issues with the cash register. I get stuff happens still waiting after the people in front of me place there orders he goes to the back to start the food. He isn’t by himself another guy is sweeping. Then two more customers come in I’m still at the desk waiting to pay. He takes their orders like I wasn’t there. Wow. My wife tells me to sit down and wait for the food pay afterwards. Then another guy comes in he goes back in finished our food. So i still needed some drinks that I ordered and my 12 falafel. That’s when the older guy tells me I can go like sit down an eat. This infuriates me because I have been patient. Also after eating instill had to pay for my food and waited 10 more minutes.In short I guess dont go there between 230 and 330 must be a shift change or something

Kabob House Spokane – Menu with Prices – 2118 N Ruby St Suit A, Spokane

Went out with my family to the Kabob House for dinner and left very disappointed. As you enter, you see napkins, dirt, and dust on the floor, and as the waitress attempted to sweep it, she ended up kicking up the dirt as we ate. Another thing is that after sweeping and cleaning, she used the same hands to serve plates to another table. Absolutely disgusting. We ordered the appetizer for three, canâ??t complain with that. Falafel was good. I ordered the beef pita sandwich, beef was over cooked and dried out. My wife ordered the salmon dinner, and once again it was over cooked to the point where she couldnâ??t finish it because it was so hard to chew, and not to mention the bones that she picked out of it. Daughter had the lamb souvlaki, and that was also over cooked! It wouldnâ??t have taken an expert to take a single look at it and tell the condition of it. Rice tasted like it was from a box, overall the main courses felt like they had been cooked earlier and then reheated for us, which may have been the reason it was so dry. Maybe it would have been better if we went a bit earlier, but on this trip we were not pleased. Definitely will never go back.

Bestie Donuts – Menu with Prices – 2313 Guthrie Rd, Garland

This place is really good. I second the other review about the jalapeno bacon croissant, it’s really good. They dont have a huge variety, but everything was fresh and fluffy and very tasty. It’s also super convenient being less than 5 minutes away from my house. Will definitely be back.

Pho Bac Noodle Palace – Menu with Prices – 1100 McHenry Ave, Modesto

I ordered food through GrubHub and called the restaurant to make sure my Mongolian beef was extra spicy. The lady that answered the phone couldn’t understand what I was calling about and after a few minutes of explaining it to her over and over she got it. Then not more than 10 minutes later the lady from the restaurant called back told me my food was ready but she was not giving it to the driver because she did not know how she was getting paid she said the driver didn’t pay her I didn’t pay her she wasn’t letting the food leave the restaurant so I called Grubhub back told them the situation they put me on hold called the restaurant to explain to the lady that GrubHub pays them the lady from Grubhub said that the restaurant understood the payment situation and my order was given to the driver and would be at my house within 10 to 15 minutes. Then within another 10 minutes I got a text and an email saying that my order was canceled so I called Grubhub back The lady that answered this time I explained to her what was going on she looked at the notes to confirm that the previous lady that help me from Grubhub talk to the restaurant and said my order was on its way so she called the restaurant back to find out what the deal was. After being placed on hold she came back on the line and told me that the restaurant canceled my order because she did not understand how she was getting paid so why would they make a deal with the food delivery service without fully understanding how they get compensated for their order.
