Having had a minor back issue that may not qualify me as needing special accommodations, I was still very disappointed to be denied the option of sitting at an event held at the Volcanic since standing for extended periods of time is an issue. They allowed a promoter to over book the venue to standing room only (200+), for a comedy show. The on hand personnel was a lone man I believe to be the owner that quickly blamed â??themâ? for selling all the tickets and that he was aâ?just the venue.â? BS dude.

Klondike Sunset Casino – Menu with Prices – 444 W Sunset Rd, Henderson

Last evening 2/16/2019 my girlfriend and I went to have dinner and enjoy the comedy show Bonkerz. First let me state the comedy show was FANTASTIC. The headliner James “BIGFOOT” Scott was absolutely hilarious, the openers were also very entertaining. THEY GET 5 STARS ! The venue in the Klondike Casino is their restaurant Sarah’s Kitchen. I signed in for the comedy venue, and was advised to sit anywhere. I must have picked the invisible table…….then I realized there were many, many invisible tables. Where I sat was only placemats. I sat for over 45 minutes without anyone asking if I wanted a beverage. Clients noticed that I patiently sat for over almost an hour………No bus person, waiter..NO ONE even as much stopped at the table. Oh by the way they no longer offer club members the Prime Rib Special, it was $5.55 for club card holders, it is now $12.99. That being said after an hour my girlfriend ordered a salad that arrived with NO DRESSING. That fiasco required asking 3 employees for dressing. My burger was undercooked….I ate it because it had taken 40 minutes for the burger and salad to arrive, I was HUNGRY, and may never see my food again. Needless to say, the service was DEPLORABLE, AWFUL, TOTALLY INVISIBLE. Management should have pulled someone over from the bar wait staff. The comedy venue was totally packed. I have made a firm decision to never eat at that property EVER AGAIN. I will attend the BONKERZ comedy venue.

The Jefferson Theater – Menu with Prices – 110 E Main St, Charlottesville

I am surprised to find they have 4.5 stars and good for them, unfortunately I have had two bad experiences now. Both of which reflect the staff not the venue itself. Earlier in the year I had a female bartender who was extremely rude and degrading, mentioned it to the bouncer and his response was ‘yeah we’ve been having complaints about her’ …?!? Second instance was Wednesday, November 21 the night before thanksgiving. I previously purchased tickets online and never received the tickets via email. You can attempt to call the Jefferson and you’ll find nothing but voice automated system. Upon arrival to the venue I spoke to the women at the ticket booth, who was preoccupied with eating her dumplings, explaining to her my situation. Then proceeding to show her on my bank account that I was charged the $30 for two tickets. The young lady was very rude in saying ‘that means nothing I can’t do anything about that’. I asked her If I could speak to a manager and her response was ‘he’s busy right now I mean I can send him a text I guess.’ I returned to line with my boyfriend who then walked over again with me (we were both genuinely kind and curious as to how we can solve the issue) and we asked her again, she entered my information to the system to see if she could find tickets and nothing came up. She was again rude in saying ‘nothing there, I can’t do anything for you.’ At this point I spoke back to her in an equal tone of voice saying ‘alright then let’s buy two more tickets’ her response: “are you sure?” Uhhh??? You just repeatedly told me in a rude manner that you can’t help me, how else would I get into the show? I said kindly to her ‘you know I’d appreciate some better customer service, we’ve been very kind to you and you were nothing but rude.’ When did establishments stop caring about quality customer service? A total of $60 in tickets and an infuriating way to start a show.

The Firmament – Menu with Prices – 5 Market Point Dr, Greenville

Well I am not sure how many stars to give since we didn’t actually see the concert. I bought tickets for a 7:00 show a week in advance. My husband and I printed off the tickets the day of, and the tickets still said show at 7, doors open at 6. So we ate early and took an Uber to the venue. We got there and nobody is in the parking lot or answering the doors. Finally a security guy opened the door and looked at us like we were crazy. Luckily the sushi place is in walking distance, so we called across the lot and called. They told me there was some mistake and the show is now only at 10. We already ate in preparation for a 7:00 show, so we only had the option of drinking for 3 hours at the sushi place until the show, which we decided was not a good idea. We were super disappointed. With fees and all, I paid about 43 bucks which was a total waste of money. Not a lot, but a waste. If I knew the show was only at 10, we absolutely would not have paid for an Uber to drop us at 7. So I would recommend you check and double check or even call before you end up like we did. The right thing to do is to email the customers who took the time to buy advance tickets and tell them that the show was cancelled.

La Santa Modern Cantina – Menu with Prices – 220 E 3rd St, Santa Ana

One and done, I’ll never go back. I had bought VIP tickets for a Feb. 24th drag show at Marty’s and was never even told that the venue had changed to La Santa. Another Uber ride to La Santa and my experience was awful. Despite VIP tickets we were placed at a table near the side rear of the stage, which was a terrible viewpoint. We waited for 30 minutes for a server to come take our breakfast order (which was included in the ticket price) and I finally went to the bar to inquire about our waitress and was told that we were seated in a non-serving area. Huh? Two girls asked if they could sit at our table and I warned them that they wouldn’t get served and what do you know, suddenly a waitress appeared to take their order. I was so over it at this point that I didn’t even bother ordering. The other girls food came and honestly: this food made McDonalds look appetizing (I’ve attached a picture of their ‘breakfast burger’). We left shortly thereafter before the show even started because I didn’t want to give this establishment any more of my money (I had walked to the bar and bought a beer while waiting for our waitress that never came) I contacted TicketWeb who sold the tickets for a refund and had to call them FOUR times as they had reached out to the venue, La Santa, to discuss the case and issue a refund and no one from La Santa ever responded to the claim. Thankfully after my fourth call to TicketWeb they did the honorable thing and issued me a refund after stating that they had never dealt with a venue not returning their call or acknowledging the complaint and that they, themselves, were surprised at how La Santa was handling it. Shocked at how poorly this venue is run. I’ll never return and I hope no one else does either. UPDATE: I’ve also attached screenshots from the classy owner himself. Clearly his poor attitude is a reflection of his establishment

The Union Event Center – Menu with Prices – 235 N 500 W, Salt Lake City

This was a really clean, intimate event venue. We saw the Maren Morris concert here up close and personal. No need to arrive early and stand for a long time waiting to get in because itâ??s all general admission – no seating – standing only. No one was smoking and I didnâ??t smell weed once (a miracle!) – parking is an issue for this venue. We paid $10 at the Boys and Girls club just a hundred yards away and that worked out great (we actually donâ??t even know if the parking was legit, it could have been some random teens selling parking spots at a business the had nothing to do with – but we took a chance and it worked!)

Budweiser Gardens – Menu with Prices – 99 Dundas St, London

I was supposed to attend a concert here in August but can no longer attend the date due to an unavoidable conflict. I paid $300 for the tickets and am trying to refund them over a MONTH in advance and they WILL NOT LET ME!! “All tickets are final sale-you should not have bought the tickets if you could not commit to the date” Excuse me, are you serious? Who makes tickets final sale? Life happens. Plans change. How can it even be LEGAL to make tickets final sale? Just because I can commit to a date on one day does not mean that I can commit to it forever. It is a very inappropriate and unprofessional policy to have. I will not return nor buy any tickets from this venue again. Very disappointing.

The Listening Room – Menu with Prices – 78 St Francis St, Mobile

This is a VERY COOL venue! I have been to concerts, symphonies and small venue presentations all over the USA, but I have never been a venue like this. The Listening Room is truly for LISTENING. For a small donation of $20 you are allowed to listen to artists perform in a intimate venue. Prior to the concert, the owner Jim Pennington, informs you of the rules. To paraphrase Jim, “If you want to talk, drink and be rude, go down the street to a bar.” I ADORE this concept of “no talking” while someone is performing. How often have you been to a venue where you couldn’t hear the performer due to all the background noise? NOT happening here! Jim is the consummate host, selling assorted beverages and CD’s of the performer with proceeds going to the artist. I highly recommend this venue to anyone in the Mobile or surrounding area. I do not live locally, only visiting once a year, but TLR has become a “must do” for our trips to Alabama.

The Orange Peel Menu with Prices 101 Biltmore Ave, Asheville

If you have a concert or a show at their outdoor venue, REQUEST A REFUND. It is NOT worth seeing a band you love, disrespected by the greed of the orange peel. They have food trucks with LOUD generators, and plant a big tent right in the middle of where everyone towards the mid-back of the crowd would stand. Whoever designed the layout of the 45 South location, should be fired. The tents, and food trucks, and beer stands should be shoved towards the back. When people purchase tickets to this venue, it is to see the BAND. NOT to go to a food truck. Terrible, terrible job, Orange Peel. If you’re going to the original venue, then it’s fine. They could use an expansion, and better lighting, to engage the audience. But not a terrible place to watch a show. I am at the Lord Huron show, and I am SO embarrassed to see that the orange peel clearly cares more about the money from food vendors, than representing Asheville in a way that will make large bands want to return.

Sessions Music Hall – Menu with Prices – 44 W 7th Ave, Eugene

Anytime I would say, “I haven’t been to the Hi-Fi yet,” people would look at me like I was crazy. Well I finally went for a show and got the full experience. The show was in the larger room with it’s own bar and while the bar area was fun it kind of sucked that it was behind the stage. The people spending the most money can’t even take their drinks to watch the show. The sound was great and there’s not a bad view from the dance floor. The staff were friendly, especially the bouncer at the door. I was super bummed out to find that the outdoor area with the fire and tables was only for the other side of the venue. We were paying a lot for our tickets and were only able to stand in the parking lot. I don’t understand why there isn’t a nice outdoor area for the other side of the venue or some way to share the outdoor space with someone who lets you back in to your correct show. Besides that, it was a fun night and food trucks park here for lunch and during shows. If you can’t find street parking there is a large parking structure across the street.

The Bell Auditorium Menu with Prices 712 Telfair St, Augusta

I took my daughters ages 11 months, 10, and 14 to see Bring It Live and they loved it. If you don’t know what Bring It! Is, it’s a majorette show that comes on Lifetime network. It follows Coach D and her girls that dance and go around battling other teams. The tickets were $60 per person and I didn’t have to get one for my little one. Parking on premises was $5, but I opted to park on 8th Street, free of charge. The show started at 7:30, but the doors opened an hour earlier. Security checked everyone before getting in line and the line moved rather quickly. I had my tickets saved on my phone and the doorman scanned it and told me where to go. All in all from car, to security, to seat took about 10 minutes although there were lots of people everywhere. When walking down the hall to my designated section, you can hear the dj playing music. He had to get the crowd hyped and ready for the performance. When the dolls took the stage everyone was up out of their seats! The show had lots of lights, lots of dancing and hair whipping, flips, and moves I wouldn’t dare try. The girls gave high energy from beginning to end. The show over exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be the same old routines that you see on tv, but there was much much more. The dance captain Coach D gave a great performance as well as great inspirational speeches. She also interacted with fans in the crowd. I’m happy I decided to get tickets because my girls were ecstatic when I told them I got tickets and ever since the show, that’s all they’ve been talking about. Thanks Bell Auditorium for the great show!

The Blue Note – Menu with Prices – 17 N 9th St, Columbia

My wife and I really enjoyed our date night tonight. We watched Greg Warrington comedy show. While this was a fun night, we were sad to see that the Blue Note charged us cosmetic fees. They charged us a handling and processing â??stupidâ? fee online for literally purchasing tickets to the show. Once at the door we had to buy a two drink minimum cover times two which meant that we spent $25 on mandatory drinks. The Blue Note USED TO be a historic and attractive date night in the past but now it seems like they are more geared towards seeing their profits increase. Sad to see this from management. Smh

The White Mule – Menu with Prices – 711 Saluda Ave, Columbia

I went to the White Mule with a friend to see Susto recently and while we had a great time seeing the band and they put on a great show, the venue left us both disappointed. The sound was excellent, the artist doing what appeared to be live-painting was a nice touch and the selection at the bar was good but that was about it. The bartender I dealt with worked at a glacier’s pace and seemed to have no interest in helping customers. The seating near the stage consists of several old church pews which is nice until the place fills up and people who are standing start crowding in to the spaces between the pews which leaves those who are seated with no space and no way to see the stage. The restrooms are tucked in to a narrow hallway at the back of the venue and when it’s crowded you have to fight through the crowd to get to them. Lastly, the White Mule bills itself as “a place…to perform in front of an intimate, attentive audience.” In my experience, it was anything but that. While the venue has no direct control over who buys a ticket to a show they’re hosting, it quickly becomes obvious that, due to the neighborhood, this place will inevitably draw the exact same crowd that other Five Points bars draw: loud, belligerent, inattentive, aggressive and heavily intoxicated.
