The workers are great, I ordered the Mayan Mocha & it was given to me hot. But it was 90 degrees outside and I wanted cold, so they made me a new drink instantly with no hassle. Thank you very much. The inside of the store was pretty groovy & had enough space for plenty of people to sit and hang out while they drink their coffee or juice. Also the chairs were pretty comfortable. I ordered the Mayan Mocha which was under their coffee menu. The menu was a bit daunting due to how much was on it and the juices seemed very pricy. But the Mayan Mocha was very good and very flavorful. The cinnamon and cayenne really powered the drink, although the cayenne made it a bit too spicy so as I got towards the end of the drink, the spice was too much for me to finish it. Overall great experience and I will definitely return!

Colleen’s Coffee Shop – Menu with Prices – 5755 Mountain Hawk Dr #101, Santa Rosa

This was my first time in Colleen’s. My favorite coffee drink is a mocha. Especially a “Mexican mocha”. The spices add a unique depth to the flavor of the coffee. I have had mochas everywhere I can, bakeries, bagel shops, Pete’s, Starbucks, any where coffee was sold. Most of the time the mocha offered wasn’t very good. I mean spooning Nestlé Quick into the coffee doesn’t qualify. Pete’s has been my favorite place for a regular mocha, semisweet chocolate and the right espresso, wonderful. That is until I tasted the Aztec Mocha at Colleen’s. That first sip was magic! So many things happening at once. The rich chocolate ‘melting’ in my mouth, the cinnamon bite was sharp and rich, and the sweetness completed the trifecta of coffee joy. The bread pudding muffin had to wait to be eaten. There was way too much bliss happening all at once.

Heart and Soul Coffee – Menu with Prices – 930 11th St, Modesto

Little brother wanted some coffee after having lunch. He recommended this place that is downtown. The ambiance was cool. Love the open space. I ordered a hot mocha and my brother ordered a different drink. Think it had the name of lumberjack latte but I could be wrong. The drinks were made fast but one issue. The girl made me an iced mocha and not a hot mocha. Oh well let’s run with it right. I’m actually glad I did. This iced mocha was good. Just the perfect amount of sweetness. If I had to do it all over, I would Order a non fat iced mocha. In the end, the screw up turned out to be a blessing. Thanks for the great iced mocha.

Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters Menu with Prices 298 N 8th St, Boise

My wife and I had a few hours between when we checked out of our Airbnb and when we need to head to the airport, so we stopped in at Thomas Hammer for a drink. The interior of the coffee shop is well-lit and spacious, especially mid-Monday afternoon. My wife ordered a strawberry fruit breeze blended drink, and I chose the Ice Hammer (blended mocha drink). Unfortunately, they “were out” of some ingredient in the Ice Hammer (seems to me like all of the ingredients would be pretty standard), so I got an iced blended Jack Hammer (chocolate, cinnamon, and honey). This drink was chocolatey and refreshing, and I enjoyed the hint of cinnamon. My wife really enjoyed her drink too. This was a good place to get a cool drink on a hot day, and is probably also a good place to get a warm drink on a cold day. If you are looking for a coffee shop in downtown Boise, I would definitely recommend Thomas Hammer.

White Oak Coffee House – Menu with Prices – 5935 Cheviot Rd, Cincinnati

Cute and trendy new coffee shop in White Oak. They have several signature drinks: The Cincinnati Tradition (cafe mocha ft. cayenne pepper) and Hudy’s Delight (white chocolate & hazelnut). I got the former and the frittata (crustless quiche); I was happy to see that the frittata was gluten free! Unfortunately they don’t have a full kitchen, so any food items are basic and just warmed up, again not a big deal for a small shop. The drinks were OK – the Cincinnati Tradition didn’t capitalize on the cayenne (couldn’t taste it over the overt sweetness). I really like some of the drink ideas and the coffee shop itself is bright, well decorated and has plentiful seating. I think it needs a little work in menu execution, but I am very happy to visit. I will come again soon to see how things improve). P.S.: +1 point for recycling (you guys rock!)

Urban Mayan Cafe – Menu with Prices – 701 South Broadway Street, Los Angeles

Have you ever visited a business where the staff was so enthusiastic and excited about their product that you became excited about it, too, only to later realize you actually don’t care about reclaimed porcelain llama figurines, or need the five that you bought while on that excitement high? Prepare to experience that high in Urban Mayan Cafe, except you’ll still be excited about their Guatemalan coffee and snacks after you’ve gorged yourself silly. On a recent (and first) trip to L.A., I stopped in here when I couldn’t find a Starbucks on a Sunday morning. I’m so glad I couldn’t find that Starbucks! The owner was so nice and explained all of their offerings, of which I had no knowledge. They have all the coffee shop staples when it comes to caffeine, plus mocha and frappuccino on tap. The owner let me play with my drink and I tried 2/3 cold brew and 1/3 mocha. I insist everyone try it, too. What I appreciated most was the owner’s professionalism and courtesy. While placing my order, a man who appeared to be of very little means walked in and asked if she sold anything for a dollar. Instead of turning him away or ignoring him, she gave him his options, sold him a beverage that most likely cost more than a dollar, gave him his change, and made his day. If you’re in the DTLA area, please support this cute and lovely shop.

Legends Coffee Menu with Prices 24100 E Commons Ave, Aurora

I was really looking forward to trying this place because the reviews were so positive but I was pretty disappointed. I ordered an iced soy vanilla chai, which is my go-to drink literally everywhere. She told me they didn’t have soy milk so I opted for almond milk instead, which I have had with chai before and it’s not bad. I also ordered a cinnamon roll. It took a very long time to get the drink, there was a long line and only 1 person making drinks, which didn’t bother me as I wasn’t in a hurry but others seemed annoyed. I got my drink and cinnamon roll and left. The cinnamon roll tasted good, however the chai was horrible. I can’t even describe the taste of it, but it was not even close to what a chai should taste like. I tried drinking it and hoped I would get use to the off taste but I couldn’t so I didn’t finish the drink. I will probably return and try another drink, because people are so positive about the coffee here. But I would strongly advise against ordering the chai.

Half Pint Café – Menu with Prices – 537 SE Ash St #108, Portland

Unlike most of the food/drink establishments I visited while in Portland, this wasn’t planned at all. I dropped off our rental car pretty early and then decided I wanted some coffee, so I pulled up yelp and went to the nearest highly rated coffee shop, and I’m glad I did, because I was extremely pleased with it. There’s nothing fancy about the place, it’s just a little coffee shop, but their coffee is top notch, as is their service, as are their prices. I usually get a fancy sugary coffee drink, and they certainly have those, most notably as far as the sort of thing I particularly like drinking, they have a Mexican mocha with a cinnamon and pepper chocolate syrup they apparently make in-house, which I ordered, and then immediately changed my mind and said scratch that, I’ll just have a regular espresso instead – partially because I figured I’m in the capitol of good coffee and I should try to learn to like straight-up bean flavor, and partially because, admittedly, I’d just gone crazy spending money on foodie stuff right and left all week and I liked the idea of saving a couple bucks. The guy working there (not sure if it was the owner? I feel like it may have been) was super friendly and happy to let me do that, even though it was cheaper. Then, as I was sitting there sipping my very good espresso (though admittedly I think I’m just not a pure coffee person – I could tell it was quality, but I just can’t totally get into it), he surprised me with a mini cup of Mexican hot chocolate, because he could tell I was so conflicted and wanted to let me try both of them. Totally not necessary, but certainly appreciated. Unsurprisingly, it was totally delicious, and if I’m ever back in the area and want some coffee (likelier than you might think, given that I have now totally fallen in love with basically everything about Portland), this will be one of the first places I think of, and their Mexican mocha one of the first drinks. Was just the right amount sweet, and just the right amount spicy. So good!

Poppy Coffee – Menu with Prices – 4343 Pacific Ave Ste. A-1, Stockton

Casual coffee shop near the University of the Pacific. It was empty when I walked in at 2 PM on a Thursday, but became more crowded by 4 PM. Definitely a great spot to do work on your laptop if you’re a student – plenty of tables, free wifi and water, free parking in a large public lot outside, and food and coffee for purchase. The downside is that it doesnt have enough outlets for charging laptops. I think I only saw two in the front. Large coffee menu! I ordered a Mexican Mocha. This drink is traditionally spicy, but the one they offered at the cafe wasn’t. It was delicious but overly sweet, probably because one of the main ingredients listed on the menu is brown sugar. Personally, I prefer my Mexican Mochas less sweeter. Regardless, I’d definitely come back for another visit. I have my eye on trying their Coconut Mocha.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf – Menu with Prices – 3350 La Sierra Ave, Riverside

This isn’t the first coffee bean place I have been to but it’s prob the last. I have been to another location and I think their drinks are just Horrible! To say the least. When I got here, there is basically nobody there. Lights are off but it doesn’t show they’re closed on yelp and there is no sign saying they’re closed! So anyways, the self check out counters are right across from the coffee shop since this is inside Ralph’s! I asked one of the employees and he pages someone and they came, I asked the lady or she worked there. She said yea I use to!! So there is nobody that is working there for some reason and I guess part of it I understand Bc their coffee sucks! I wanted to get a latte with whites chocolate mocha!! I figured they’re like Starbucks, pumps of white chocolate mocha.well maybe not. By the time I went to get yogurt and came back for my drink. The lady was gone and she made me a drink that has dark chocolate!! My drink was just left there! I think it was clear that it should have been white chocolate mocha since we had a discussion about it. Never again!

French Truck Coffee – Menu with Prices – 650 Poydras St Suite 102, New Orleans

I am not a â??coffee aficionado or expert, I just know what I want and what I love. Anyway, before we start walking around the beautiful Garden District, we stopped by at this coffee shop. We ordered Iced Mocha Latte, Oji drip Iced Coffee, â??and a â??muffin. Iced Mocha – This is my usual order in any new coffee shop that I visit, it becomes my baseline. For this particular location, their Mocha Latte is different from other Mocha Latte that I have tried. The combination of mocha and espresso give this sour taste, I think the roast of the bean is light to medium with fruity undertone which I don’t mind but not my favorite. They also put a lot of ice, but I think you can just ask them for less ice. Oji Drip Iced Coffee – The process of making this coffee is a separate attraction which you can see over the counter. The coffee itself tastesâ?? like a combination of some kind â??of tea and fruit flavor, truly not in my alley but it was a â??refreshing taste for the summer heat. Muffin – I totally forgot the name, but the softness and deliciousness of it stayâ?? with me. It was just a â??perfect pick-me-up muffin. Space – They do have a good amount of tables and chairs, where you can hang out with your friends, working, studying or just people watching. All in all, it was an okay experience, coffee was refreshing not my favorite but the muffin was amazing. I recommend to give them a try, you will have your coffee fix and an Instagramâ?? post.

Madcap Coffee Company – Menu with Prices – 1413 Farmer St, Detroit

VEGAN OPTIONS – Yes. Almond and oat milk. This big, bright and airy coffee spot is my new favourite in downtown Detroit. The space is huge with super high ceilings, the ability to order inside or walk up to the outdoor facing counter, and some patio seating in the little alley area to the side. Bonus – the staff is uber friendly. Now let’s get to the coffee. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was great. My husband ordered a mocha, and it was *delicious*! I’m not normally a fan of mocha drinks, but this one was a total hit and I would order it again in the future. The consistency and flavour of the drinks were on point. Definitely worth going out of your way for. Will return in the future whenever we’re back in town.

Anthem Coffee & Tea – Point Ruston – Menu with Prices – 5005 Main St #105, Tacoma

I was very excited to see an anthem coffee open at Point Ruston. I was even happier when I decided to venture out and try their dirty chai with soy. Essentially it’s chai, soy, and espresso shots. It sounds a little crazy, but it’s super delicious! It is actually my new favorite thing at any coffee shop now. I love that they have these creative drinks, and that I found my new favorite, but I have found that the last two times I have gone there, they haven’t been consistent. Last week, we ordered a mocha and a dirty chai and both were extremely milky. It was hard to taste any coffee or chai. I’m not sure if the espresso shots were made poorly or the measurements were wrong, but they just weren’t good. Also, the coffee is rarely very hot. We gave Anthem another try a few days ago. I really do like the flavor of their coffee and just want our drinks to be like they were when we first ordered them. This last time when I ordered, they asked me if I wanted vanilla or spicy chai. I have never been asked this, and didn’t know what to pick, so I picked vanilla, but I think it was the spicy chai that I like. Maybe some people ask for your preference and other people just make it, I’m not sure. However, consistency is really important. I really want to keep going to Anthem and getting my new found drink, but I want it hot, the espresso shots made well, and the same chai used every time. My partner just wants his mocha with well-made shots, milk, a balanced amount of chocolate, and to get it hot. We will give it another try for sure, but I really hope this next time goes better.
