We’ve been coming to Verns for more than 15 years and never thought to write a review because … it’s always fantastic, always has happy customers coming and going and their prices are SO great. Decided to write a little review because everyone needs to know a few more things about Verns. Not only is their water the BEST; 1. They have GREAT ice. We need good ice…it needs to fit in a glass, be soft enough that if blended, the blender blades don’t get ruined and yet be clear….nothing cloudy. Vern’s ice is this and more! The price. Can’t beat it. 2. If you need large quantities of ice…this is your place. We used to have a restaurant and when our ice machine broke, we found a delivery ice company…their price nearly broke us! We had to not only find the money to repair the ice machine, but then the delivery of temporary ice really broke the bank. And they had huge minimums so the extra took up a lot of room in our freezer. Verns’ ice delivery is reasonable, good ice and won’t break your bank! 3. Extras….discounted water when you purchase a card, the BEST ice cream…(Thrifty!) and super awesome nice staff. There’s more…but know if you need super clean water, great customer service and awesome ice. This is the place!

Glacier Pure Drinking Waters – Menu with Prices – 2906 Rubidoux Blvd Suite E, Riverside

I was a customer of Sparklettes water delivery service for about a year. They would miss deliveries consistently, charge me for water I didn’t get, and rarely was my order correct. To top it all off, once I canceled service and turned all of my bottles and water dispenser back in, i started getting calls from a collection agency saying i was sent to collections by them for the total of all the bottles and machine. I was SO unsatisfied with sparklettes i was basically forced to look for other options. I have now been a customer of Glacier Pure water for a year and the service has been 100% flawless. Before my scheduled water delivery yesterday I asked for a new water dispensing machine with a light on it and they were happy to accommodate. Our route driver was as helpful as always and even helped set it up and made sure it was working properly. A+. You do not need to look anywhere else for water delivery if these guys are in your area. I recommend upgrading your water to their alkaline water it is so smooth and delicious.

Bud Olson’s Bar – Menu with Prices – 3207 Leavenworth St, Omaha

My favorite bar in town, been coming here for over 10 years. The owner Tom is a super nice guy, and his daughter Kerry is great too. Over the years the bartenders have varied little, all decent folks. The drinks have always been, and still are, cheap and mighty stiff. Locals tend to fill the seats at the bar, but everyone is welcome. Thereâ??s a true sense of community among the folks here, I love it. There is a game machine, pool table, bank shot machine, and a jukebox. Handful of TVs, half with wheel of fortune, half with sports balls. They rarely have specials (if ever), but they donâ??t need to, whatever youâ??re drinking is cheap anyway.

The Rec Room Menu with Prices 3222 Adeline St, Berkeley

Holidays are coming up, I know if I don’t write a review now, I would just be putting it off until 2019. Annie, her staff and The Rec Room deserves better than me keep putting this review off so here goes! First off, communications with Annie was super easy. We had communicated through emails, over the phone. And even during the planning process while Annie was away on an international holiday, she still try to answer my questions over email. If that extra effort doesn’t show how much she cares, I don’t know what else will. Every time I had a question, Annie had an answer. She made suggestions when I needed advise and gave me opinions when I needed a second opinion. We held my daughter’s 2nd birthday here (back in Sept), I was looking for a place that was fun for toddlers, easy on the parents, and space to house the bubble show I was going to hire for entertainment. Annie was super accommodating and was even excited for what I had planned. She gave me an idea of what her playspace have available at my disposal so I don’t have to bring in anything extra that I don’t have to. I wish I could remember her attending staff who was there on the day of, let’s call her Miss Awesome because she truly was. My husband and I, along with my daughter arrived early (we expected heavy traffic from SF to Berkeley, but it ended up being really light), we managed to find parking right in front. There’s a loading zone also in the front for those who’s wondering what happens if there’s no parking. I peeked my head in and saw Miss Awesome getting the place ready and she allowed me to come in early to set up. Throughout the whole event, Miss Awesome was attentive, kept asking if she could help in any way. Even Annie herself came over near the end of the event to help clean up. IS THIS THE MOST AWESOME TEAM OR WHAT??!?!?! The space itself is beautiful, not much decoration needed. The kids had a blast with the available toys, there’s even a little baby area for crawlers or younger. Plenty of seating for everyone to get comfortable (when the kids allow, haha). Thank you so much for making this such an easy planning and execution process, I would highly recommend this space for anyone who wants to plan a beautiful party with minimal stress. Update: Miss Awesome = Delaney!!

Subway Restaurants – Menu with Prices – 7494 Creedmoor Rd, Raleigh

I eat here once a week for lunch along with many employees in my office. The visit today will be my last. The short guy with thinning black hair is rude. The credit card machine malfunctioned and he mumbled “you broke my machine”. All I did was insert my card like the machine said. It could not read the chip, so it asked my to slide my card. When I slid my card it malfunctioned. He asked me to slide my card again, but slowly. Ok no problem. I slid my card slowly, but the machine asked me to insert my card. I inserted my card and the guy said something under his breath, but I didnt think much of it. Then the machine asked me to slide my card again and I did. It went through this time. As this guy handed me my receipt he said something to the effect of “why dont people understand how to use credit cards” under his breath. When I called him out on it he got quiet and started with his fake smiling.

Original Buffalo Wings – Menu with Prices – 2499 Lombard St, San Francisco

I recently realized that I had not had just regular chicken wings in a long time, and I was happy to see these guys as part of a Postmates Party so no delivery fee. I’ve gotta say, it was pretty solidly middle of the road. The wings were just pretty good. My sort of “average” wing comparisons are Buffalo Wild Wings and Wing Stop. Of course, we don’t have those in the city, but by comparison I would say I like their sauces more, but Original Buffalo Wings is definitely a better value. And believe me, value in the city in this day and age is something I do deeply appreciate! I tried a few things, as is tradition with a new place (and delivery order minimums). I got the spicy bbq tenders – not very spicy – the pamasean ranch tenders – a dry rub that was pretty tasty – and the steak sandwich. The steak is a literal steak sandwich, like a steak on bread, not a cheesesteak. That threw me for a loop when ordering because it asked how I wanted my steak done. I said medium, but next time, medium rare as is proper for steak! While mine said it was spicy bbq, again, not spicy. Ranch, carrots, and celery are included, which is awesome. They also have big tenders and don’t go overboard on the breading, which is very refreshing. They also gave me a few bonus tenders. I just can’t with good conscience say it’s 4 stars and the flavors were just okay. I will try again and see how that spicy Hawaiian is. Maybe if I can find the right sauce my qualms will be assuaged.

Molly’s Deli – Menu with Prices – 7451 E State St, Rockford

This place was just a crossed from my hotel. Looking for something to do and a bite to eat so I checked it out. This place was real nice and inviting for a gaming parlor. Clean and not to dark in the gaming area. Customer clientele was pretty decent too. Had 5 machines with lots of variety on each machine. Played the Vegas Royale and hit it big. Couple 100 bucks in about an hour. Machines were clean too. Guy next to me got up and the lady working there came over quickly and wiped down the machine and seat. She asked me when I walked in if I wanted a complimentary soda or water. After my winnings I bought a hot dog and a cold beer. The beer was reasonable at 2 bucks. Hot dog was huge and a real bargain at 3 bucks. The had all the fixins and make it there fresh. Dog was awesome and when I say fresh it’s not in some warmer or popped into the microwave, this dog came out of the fridge and onto the grill. Yum! Overall I had a great experience here and would highly recommend! The people working there were great. While I was eating my dog the gal working there has the Blackhawks game on the radio down low. Asked her if it was the Hawks game and she said yes and turned it up a bit so I could hear it (game wasn’t televised) which I appreciated. Liked it here so much I came back the next night. This place is awesome!

Pure Water Ice And Tea Company – Menu with Prices – 5801 4th St, Lubbock

I am a water diva, okay? That’s fine with me. Some people are divas about their coffee or shoes or sunglasses, but me, I will stick to being a water diva and a food diva. Pure Water impressed me like, “Whoa!” the first time I went in. I use a five gallon water jug in our kitchen to dispense heavenly and cold water perfectly at any moment. We have 2 jugs (tee hee) and get them refilled about once every two weeks. We used to go to an old fashion water machine outside of Market Street and fill them ourselves for $1 a jug. When you fill it yourself you do everything yourself. Carry it to the water dispenser, awkwardly put one on the ground while you fill up the other one. Then you are left there with two heavy jugs of water with no sealed lids and your car is across the way somewhere in the parking lot. It is quite the hassle (I know, first world problems). At Pure Water Ice & Tea they make the above process look even more terrible in comparison the the royal treatment they provide for you. You can either go through the drive thru (which never has a line) and they will take it through the window and then have someone escort it to your car (with a sealed lid and sanitized jug might I add). The other more fun way is to bring your empty jug inside and give it to the front. They will take care of all of it while you enjoy picking a tea to experience. They have over 20 different fountain style teas that they brew in house to pour and enjoy over ice. You can get one tea or mix 20 to fill your cup, they don’t care. I usually mix 1/4 sweet watermelon with 3/4 unsweet green peach. By the time you are done having fun with the tea your water jug is sanitized and filled and someone is waiting to escort it to your car for you. All of this awesome extra amaziness and it is only $2 for a 5 gallon jug of reverse osmosis water. I will never get my water for my house anywhere else.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Augusta Menu with Prices 2651 Perimeter Pkwy, Augusta

I really wish they had more than one washing machine on the fifth floor. Also, I wish they had quarters at the front desk. It costs 3 dollars for the wash and 3 for the dry. That is almost a roll of quarters in itself. I know the restaurant and bar have to receive money drops, or somebody goes to the bank. I doubt they are hiding all of their profits under one of the mattresses. How hard would it be to request quarters for the customers. When I checked into the hotel, they stated that if there was anything I needed all I had to do is ask. Well I asked for quarters, and they did not get them for us. They literally gave me a look that said, “That’s your problem.” If I really was willing to do anything for the customer, I would have at least gotten the quarters at the next bank drop. I was there for two weeks and they never did. If it was me, I actually would have gone down to the local corner store for the customer.

Galaxy Hamburgers – Menu with Prices – 2150 S Archibald Ave, Ontario

I went in May to buy a burger and a soda I usually order the galaxy burger combo and I did the same this time , my receipt show 11:30 was my total which was right with 50 cents they charge you fir the atm . Well come to find up the next day my banco show 211.30 cents. Called my back of the mistake . I figure when he was closing the atm machine he made a mistake ,. Told my bank that I was going to do disputed it but they said they they would handle this. Later they deposit my money . I spoke to a worker there and told them they had over charge me but I had spoke to the bank . The worker said oh the owner said you were stupid for signing it so he was going to make 200 out of you . I said the bank got me my money already . Well now they have reverse the charges because he provided a copy of the merchant receipt of the closing of the batch . I ve ask the bank to ask for the itemized goods that were rendered at time of service, and the reading of the register that shows that such sales took place . As a previous owner of a restaurant I now this. Unfortunately my bank was cautious on how they word my dispute and did not ask for the appropriate receipts either. I’m at a loss of 200 dollars but people beware this owner bows what he is doing so ask for your receipt and save it . He has no conscience . He does it with pride . May he develop a heart and a conscience someday . As for me I’m not returning ever again therea

Lazy Boy Brewing – Menu with Prices – 715 100th St SE, Everett

It’s Election Day, 2016, and I thought I’d write one last review before the Earth explodes. And I figured, why not end it all with a 5-star review? Lazy Boy Brewing is certainly deserving of all 5 of them stars and then some. Great beer, great service, great ambiance, and great community involvement. I really loved coming here and regret not having tried it sooner. The above “greats,” in order… –Great beer: we tried both the Lazy Boy IPA and the Lazy Boy Amber, both made right there in house. The IPA was bold and hoppy and snappy and all of those good things, while the Amber was full and rich and made me feel warm inside. I’d get the Amber again next time and just stick with it. –Great service: the bartender (Rob) made it a point of visiting our table and all of the others, and not just stopping by to say “hi” but to actually engage in pleasant conversation and tell us a bit about Lazy Boy. A very large gray cat that lives in the brewery also made it a point to visit the table, but the cat didn’t engage in much conversation. Just cat-like self absorption and receiving of pets and pats and scratches. Typical. The cat has an extra toe on its forepaws if you want to try out your best Inigo Montoya impersonation. –Great ambiance: cool lighting and seasonal decor on top of what is already just a really neat space, complete with a popcorn machine and other snacks (small donation requested for popcorn and pretzels, or you can buy some other crunchy snacks). There are a few TVs and some comfy chairs in addition to barstools and tables. There are signs on the tables that list upcoming events like trivia nights and games that will be on; plus, you can bring your own food in; keep that in mind for next time, if the Earth doesn’t explode tonight. –Great community involvement: we came here because Lazy Boy gave $5 vouchers for folks who donated blood at the Everett blood bank a few months ago. I love when businesses support things that matter like that. One other note: definitely use mapping software and patience when looking for Lazy Boy, because when you arrive, you’ll think there’s no possible chance you’re in the right spot. It’s next to invisible from the road and once you’re in the parking lot and even walking into the building, a voice in your head will be hissing “no way, this can’t be right.” Off to watch election results…good-bye, cruel world…

Val’s Coffee Corner – Menu with Prices – 2244-2264 Bacon St, San Diego

Val’s coffee corner is my favorite coffee spot in OB! Not only bc their right next door me to but everything they sell is super tasty and service is always amazing! Their açaí bowls are the best I’ve ever had and green machine smoothie is to die for. I’ve been coming here for about 3 years now and I should’ve wrote a review a long time ago. The owner Val is great! Our dogs use to run away and terrorize the coffee shop girls and not once did they ever get mad. Instead they would give them treats and belly rubs. They even put our dog back inside our house when she ran away a while back. Forever grateful ! Their also super kid friendly/dog friendly!
